Lovely Lattice

Sunday afternoon I spent a bit of time making several cards.  I realized once I finished that I had done quite a bit of coloring with the Stampin’ Blends.  I do love to color.  Especially when I have enough time to really enjoy it.  In that situation it is rather relaxing and I like to see the completed project.

For this card I broke out the Sale-A-Bration set Lovely Lattice.  I went with soft colors, sort of.  The coloring is done in soft colors, but the card base is BRIGHT!  You know me, I love Bright.  See what you think.

Lovely Lattice, 149730

I layered the DSP so that there is not a lot of the base card, but just enough to blend with the center of the flowers.  The base is Pineapple Punch card stock.  I was afraid to go with Daffodil Delight in that it might just fade away.

I really enjoyed coloring the flowers here.  More so than I thought I would.  I got to practice my blending of the two shades of Stampin’ Blends.  It seems odd to me though.  The two shades show less blended in the photo than in real life.  Hhmmmm…….

I almost forgot to mention the stamped image.  I know it has been stressed that we should use the Memento Ink to stamp the image that we are going to use the Stampin’ Blends on so that it does not bleed through.  But….Stampin’ Up! did a video when the Blends were first debuting, that you can do a “No Line Coloring”.  Or a similar look as that.  It was done by stamping in the color you were going to color with.  Well, for today’s card, I stamped in Smokey Slate.  I wanted it to have a softer look than the Black of Memento Ink. I was thinking soft, Victorian, romantic, etc.  So I tried it and it worked wonderfully!  I hope you will give it a try as well.

Anyway, thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will let me know your method for blending the shades.  And please return tomorrow for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop!  I cannot wait to see all the beautiful projects.

A NOTE about yesterday’s post:  I used a Paper Pumpkin stamp set on yesterday’s card.  You can see it HERE if you missed it.  But I failed to mention that in the March Paper Pumpkin box, subscribers will receive Not One, But TWO Stamp Sets!  A Bonus kit!  Yay!!!  The link to Paper Pumpkin is included in yesterday’s post or can be reached by going to my SHOP button at the top and scrolling to the bottom of the page.  As long as you subscribe by the tenth day of the month, you will receive that Month’s box.  Also, you can stop after one if you wish.  No problem at all.

You’re The Reason

Today I am sharing with you a Paper Pumpkin Kit card.  At least the stamps are from the February Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I did not use the cards provided.  I do not normally share these because if I have received mine, then it is too late for you to sign up to receive it as well.

If you are not familiar with Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up!, it is a monthly subscription and you receive a box that you open to discover the month’s surprise project.  Usually they are cards.  Occasionally they are some type of treat holder.  The January PP was a kit with quite a few pillow box treat holders that you decorate ( all decorations included).  Also, you receive one or more Stampin’ Spots of ink.  These are mini stamp pads.  Hint:  if you collect a number of these, they are perfect for use with the Stamparatus!  Or you can purchase the “Uninked spots” available in the Annual Catalog.

Anyway, I totally fell in love with this month’s kit and especially a few of the sentiments.  The one I used is probably an all time favorite sentiment.  Here is my card.

Gingham Gala 6X6 DSP, 148554

Is that not just about the best sentiment ever?  “You’re The Reason I Smiled Today”.  That just makes me smile to say it.  Maybe I am just being crazy with the rain and needed to smile!

The February Kit is about succulents.  This Succulent in a cup was just screaming to be colored.  And I had to use that sentiment, so here we are.  If you have any questions about Paper Pumpkin, please contact me.  It is a great way to get started as a new stamper.  I also know several people who bought the kit for themselves and a friend who lives away.  They Skype or FaceTime and put the kits together at the same time.  I love that idea!

The Paper Pumpkin link is on my Shopping page at the bottom, or my Demonstrator Page under events.  Or, you can get to my Paper Pumpkin link by clicking (This takes you to the protons and SAB is first, Paper Pumpkin is a just a bit further down the page)     Click Here For Paper Pumpkin

Thank you for visiting today!  I know this was a bit different in that you cannot purchase the stamped image or the sentiment.  But you can purchase the other pieces I used.  That list is at the bottom of the page.

I also wanted to remind you about the ULTIMATE BUNDLE!  Yes, it is the Join Promotion.  There is NO Obligation for you to do any more that order your Starter Kit.  And you have the option to get the Tote Bag, which this is the only way to currently purchase it is with a Starter Kit.  I promise it is a very nice bag.  I will use mine other than just to carry my supplies to workshops.  The next paragraphs explain the two Join Options.  I hope you will think about it and contact me so we can chat about it.

Amazing Day

I am back to my Bright colors today.  I love getting my inspiration from the Designer Series Paper.  I hope you do that, or will now give it a look next time you sit down to create.  If you have been following me for any amount of time you know that I lean towards the bright colors.  The DSP from Happiness Blooms is definitely right up my alley.

Incredible Like You, 148708

The stamp set, Incredible Like You, is not the set that is part of the Happiness Blooms suite.  I think it matches perfectly anyway!  The flower looks very similar.  I used the colors from the DSP to stamp the flower in my center panel.

The beautiful DSP is actually both sides of the same piece of paper.  I love when it works that way.  I feel like I am getting more bang for my buck.

This stamp set also has a matching Kit you can purchase to make some gorgeous cards.  I occasionally love those kits, but almost always really find the stamp sets to be perfect ones.  So please do not overlook a kit if you prefer making your own cards.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I do really appreciate your visits.  And if you ever have any questions about a project, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Measurements:

  • Base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, folded in  half
  • 5 1/4 X 4
  • DSP is 2 X 5 1/4, and 1 X 4
  • center panel is 3 1/8 X 2 5/8
  • white is 3 X 2 1/2

Happy Valentine Day

I am sharing a sweet Valentine card for you today.  This one is actually for my sweet husband, but since he doesn’t look at these posts, I don’t have to worry about him seeing it. LOL!

Meant to Be Bundle, 150587

I used my favorite Valentine Bundle.  Although it would work wonderfully for anything that requires hearts.  I love the various dies and the ways they can be used.   I chose the All My Love Designer Series Paper to pair with the gorgeous hearts.  This pattern is my very favorite of the cute paper in that pack.  I love pairing it with the Balmy Blue.  A nice twist for a romantic look.

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  I hope you will return tomorrow after enjoying this sweet day.  As always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.

Leaping With Joy for Pals March Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ February blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here because it’s “Time to Sale-A-Brate”! Our Design Team created projects using Sale-A-Bration items to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I have used a variety of stamp sets, most are from Sale-A-Bration, and created a very unique card, for me anyway.  I tend to do cards with different folds and bright colors.  Today’s card is definitely a Different Fold!

So Hoppy Together, 149725

Aren’t these frogs adorable?  I love their positions and features.  I wanted to make something different for today’s Blog Hop and decided to finally try the box card.  I have had it on my desk forever it seems.  You will love to know that it is really very easy to make.

Here is a close up of the frogs.

So Hoppy Together, 149725

And here is how it looks when you would pull it out of the envelope.  Yes, it fits in a regular A2 envelope.  It measures 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.  Woohoo!!

In addition to the frog stamp set , which is So Hoppy Together, I used another SAB set that is new.  It is More Than Words.  Another new item is the DSP in the photo above.  It is a reverse side of the Painted Season DSP coming in March.  I forgot to mention that the black checked paper is a reverse side of the Botanical Butterfly DSP, one of the SAB items.  Although I did not photograph it well, the new punch coming also in March is the Story Label Punch.  It is used on the left side flap with the Happy Birthday.

A couple of the sentiments came from Piece of Cake and Incredible lIke you.  I was trying to get coordinating sentiments, and may have gone a tad overboard!  Another new item coming in March is framelit dies that match the frogs!  That would have made me happy, as I fussy cut the frogs today!  Stay tuned for these great products beginning March 1.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today.  I will prepare a template, and maybe a video (once I get the nerve) on the box card.  It truly is so much easier than I originally thought.  As always, the supply list is at the bottom of the post.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 13, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Spring Has Sprung” projects. Don’t miss the fun!

Tea Time

I apologize for being late two days in a row.  But sometime life doesn’t go smoothly.  Nothing is wrong, just things being crazy.  So thank you for checking in and coming back to see what I have for you.

Today’s card we made at my Stamp Club on Sunday.  I believe they liked it.  I know I enjoyed creating it because it is a bit different that what I normally do.  With the sentiment I chose for the front, this card could be used for so many different occasions.  I love having cards like that in my files for a quick one to grab and send.

Tea Together, 148779

I think this card is really pretty.  Or at least unexpected.  I paired the Tea Together stamp set from the Occasions Catalog with the Tea Time Framelits from Sale-A-Bration.  They are one of the $100.00 Free items.   I believe I heard they are carrying over and that is very unusual.  Even if they do not, I believe they are well worth the price (so to speak!LOL!) The gorgeous ribbon is also from the Tea Suite of products.  It is Tea Ribbon Combo, and you get this color and an off white trimmed in gold as a pair.

The embossing folder to add some class to the tea set, is the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder also from the Occasions Catalog.  I love the beautiful detail it brings to the card.  The Tea Pot is die cut from the Tea Room Designer Series Paper.   That is where I got the Coastal Cabana card idea from…..I love getting color inspiration from the DSP!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed this card.  Please return tomorrow as it is one of the PALS Blog Hops!  Those are always filled with super projects.  As always, the supply list is at the bottom the post.
