Friendship

Today’s card is a sweet Friendship or Valentine card.  The Country Bouquet Bundle is an awesome one.  I love the colors of the Designer Series paper.  It is a happy paper for sure.

Stampin' Up!, Country Bouquet, Country Floral, Heart Punch Pack, Heart Pearls, Jackie Beers

Paper

This beautiful DSP is the Country Floral Designer Series Paper.  The colors and designs are somewhat Country, as the name suggests.  But they are wonderful together and have a different sort of mix.  I love the unexpected bicycle print on the larger piece I used.  The vertical strip of Balmy Blue DSP is from the same pack of papers.  And of course, all of my other color choices came from the bicycle print.

Stamps

I do have to say that the Country Bouquet Punch is out of stock until April.  However, you can still purchase the stamp set.  The sentiment and stamps are wonderful and since it is a punch containing the two hearts, you could quite easily cut them out.  I stamped and then cut these two hearts.  The left and right ones are from the set.  As is the sentiment.

Punches

As I said, the Country Bouquet Punch is not in stock, but there are other heart punches.  For the center heart with the sentiment, I used the Heart Punch Pack.  This is the smaller of the two hearts.  I believe it fits perfectly here between the two curvy hearts.

Finishes

To complete the card, I chose the Sweet Sorbet as the background for the bicycle print.  That is the color I used to stamp the two hearts also.  And since there are hearts in the strip of Balmy Blue DSP, I added one more.  The Heart Pearls are a wonderful embellishment to have on hand.  They fit in here perfectly.

Country Florets

Today’s card is a mix of current and upcoming products.  I love how Stampin’ Up! products work well together regardless of old or new.

Stampin' Up!, Country Bouquet, Fitting Florets, Decorative Circle Punch, Label Me Fancy, Boughs, Jackie Beers

Paper and Colors

I knew which stamp set I wanted for this card, but needed some direction with the color and flow.  Turning to my DSP is always my next step.  The colors and patterns are wonderful.  Yesterday I shared with you the Fitting Florets Designer Series Paper.  (You can see that card HERE!)  And today I have gone back to the Fitting Florets for yet another piece of that gorgeous paper.

This one is very bright and happy.  And it led me to this finished product.  The Night of Navy and Balmy Blue are a perfect match.  It is the unexpected Polished Pink that is the surprise and the star!

Stamps

Beginning with the Polished Pink and hearts was a fairly certain thing.  The stamps used are from the upcoming Country Bouquet stamp set and punch Bundle.  Did you notice Punch Bundle?  They are my favorite type of Bundles because they are less expensive and so quick and easy.  The two hearts are on one stamp but punch with one punch due to the layout.  That is an extra bonus.  Personally I also love the distressed, or I suppose Country, look of the hearts.  A bit of a softer look.

Punches

I went a bit heavy with punches for this card.  The background of the focal layer is the Decorative Circle Punch.  Then the leaves and flowers are from the Boughs Punch.  And last but not least is the sentiment layer of the Label Me Fancy Punch.  But as I mentioned before, they are so easy to look at your punch stash and decide what works best.

Hopefully this card works for you!  I love the mix of the dark and bright colors.  So to finish it off, I went with a few of the 2021-2023 In Color Opals in Polished Pink.  They are scattered on the boughs and a larger one on the sentiment layer.  And to finish the sentiment layer I chose one of the 2022-2024 items.  It is the Twine in those In Colors.  This one is Starry Sky, but against the mix of Night of Navy and Balmy Blue, it works perfectly.

Forever Friends

Quick cards are what I seem to be focused on lately.  Today’s is a fun and quick one using the Forever Friendship stamp set.  I love these simple images and matching sentiments.

Stampin' Up!, Forever Friendship, texture Chic, Jackie Beers

Stamp set

Previously I have made cards using almost all of the images and matching sentiments from this Forever Friendship stamp set.  These are a perfect size for Note Cards or full size ones.  And I personally love the whimsy of the sayings.  Plus you have a One Stamp Card, which I always love.  For this card I kept everything very simple.  Even though I love layers and fun folds sometimes I just need to make a quick and easy card.  This one began with the strip of DSP.

Paper

After some marathon stamping and prepping for a class, I decided I needed to make some work space before I could do anymore.  And that is where this card was born.  I found the strip of DSP.  It is from the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper.  The colors are all ones that I love so I began looking for a set to make a quick card.  And the rest is history so to speak!  In keeping with the quick and easy theme, I simply cut the DSP strip to the height of the card and adhered it.

Finishing

Trying to decide what was the appropriate finish was maybe the hardest thing about this card creation.  I finally decided just a bow would be fine.  When I saw the Petal Pink Soft Ribbon I knew it was the answer.  I do not care for a ribbon to be seen on the inside of a card, as this one is in being wrapped all the way around the card base. But with it being the same color as the cardstock that concern was not a concern at all!  It simply blends in to the cardstock.  Yay!!

Together

Making a special masculine card can be a little difficult.  Today’s card accomplishes this with the He’s All That Suite of products.

Stampin' Up!, He's All That, All That, He's The Man, Faux Suede Ribbon, Rustic Metal Dots, Jackie Beers

Stamps and Dies

This card was for our anniversary.  It is fairly simple, but has some fun elements and the sentiment is spot on for us.  The He’s All That Bundle has some great masculine sentiments and some fun shapes to Die cut them.  The dies are the All That Dies.  This shape for the sentiment reminds me of the old fashioned Blue Ribbon award.  So finishing it with the Faux Suede Ribbon was perfect.

Papers

The He’s The Man Designer Series Paper has quite a different range of paper.  There are cars, camping, trees, and then more neutral prints.  This card includes cars and a neutral.  Using this layout is a great way to use less of one DSP piece,  And by using little strips for the under piece, you can use up all your scraps.  My paper packs end up with a lot of similar size pieces that I cannot bare to throw away.  This section is finished with a trio of the Rustic Metal Dots.

Amazing

There are two amazing things I have to share with you today.  The first is the 24 Hour Sale that I mentioned yesterday.  It includes every stamp set in the Annual Catalog at 15% off!  (Note:  If it is part of a Bundle, it may still be less expensive to purchase the bundle!).  Plus, if you have been thinking of joining my Stampin’ Up! Team, it is a perfect day to do so.  You can add stamp sets to your Starter Kit with this discount.  That adds more stamps for your money.  Please let me know if you have any questions regarding that.

The second Amazing I have to share with you is the Amazing Year stamp set.  This set is small, flexible, and has sweet sentiments.  Those are things I love.

Stampin' Up!, Amazing Year, Painted Poppy, Cup of tea, Painted Texture, Jackie Beers

Stamps

The fun package and the sweet sentiment are from the Amazing Year stamp set.  This little package is a favorite of mine because it can be used for so many different purposes.  And we should always celebrate our “Wonderful Friends”!  To pair with the other pieces used, I have added “splatter” from the Painted Poppy stamp set.  Plus the flower in the center of the package is from the Cup of Tea stamp set.  It matches the embellishment on the sentiment layer.

Layers

Layers are something I tend to use in my cards.  And this one needed some stamping or texture on the layer due to the open space.  By using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder, it got quite a lot of texture and some definition as well.  Going along with this is the two layers of the sentiment.  Those are simply banner cut using my Paper Snips for a fast added look.  Then the addition of the raised flower on the gift box and the Fun Flowers Resin shapes on the sentiment were the final touches.

Chic Birthday

The Season of Chic and Texture Chic is one of the prettiest suites ever!  So a birthday card using these beautiful products has to be a really nice card.

Stampin' Up!, Season of Chic, Chic Dies, Textured Chic, Plentiful Plants, Champagne Rhinestones, Decorative Circle Punch, Jackie Beers

Paper

Because this paper is so beautiful, it has to be the beginning.  Even though it looks a little Shabby Chic, this is a layout I have used many times.  Again, it is the beautiful paper that seems to give it a different look.  You may be as surprised as I am!  This gorgeous paper is the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper.  This card showcases both sides of the same piece.

Pool Party was pulled from the “back side” pattern.  You can see it as the center layer and the bottom strip.  My idea was to punch the center of the DSP using the Decorative Circle Punch and then layer the reverse side back into the spot.  It did not fit perfectly and was not what I had envisioned.  Even though it does not show well in the picture, I punched a Decorative Circle from a piece of Gold Foil and layered it behind the DSP circle.  So now you see little pieces of Pool Party and Gold behind the focal layer.

Stamps and Dies

The Season Of Chic stamp set has a variety of “seasonal” stamps.  But I went with the simple, but elegant, flower.  It is stamped using Smoky Slate and then colored with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.  It and the overlay edging are both cut with the matching Chic Dies .  The overlay was left white and only adhered by a glue dot in the center.  Surprisingly it gives quite a bit of definition like that.

For the sentiment I wanted a more simple one.  This one was found in the Plentiful Plants stamp set. And to give it a bit of a bolder pop, I added a scrap of the Pool Party cardstock to hang below the bottom of the sentiment.  Then both were cut at an angle.

Finishing Touches

To help ground the sentiment and add a bit more bling, I used a strip of the Gold Ribbon beneath the sentiment layer.  It helps everything to pop a bit more from the darker DSP strip there.  And the finishing touch is the larger of the Champagne Rhinestones in the center of the flower.  The lightest part of the DSP is a Petal Pink, which is the card base, but there are darker variations all over.  The champagne color fit right in!
