You’re The Best

I apologize for not posting yesterday!  I had way too much fun at the Stampin’ Up! Convention and was really dragging.  I intended to post during the day , but ended up trying to clean the mess I had left getting ready for convention.  Can you relate????

So, here is a cute and easy card I have made to thank a sweet friend.

P.S. You’re The Best, 146516

I did use the stamparatus for the wreath background.  I began that section of the card with a totally different idea in mind.  As I made the “wreath” I changed direction.  Sometimes how my mind works is very strange!  But I do like how the card turned out, so I guess it was an ok detour.

I have posted previously how to use the stamparatus to make a perfect wreath.  You can see that post by clicking HERE.  It is a great template to have on hand.

Thee are a variety of products on this card.  I also went with a off-center layering.  I like to do that occasionally, and especially with bright designer series papers.  This is from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper.  I love the vibrant colors used in all of the sheets.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  I will try to share some of the great items and swaps I received in the next week.  Please return tomorrow as I will be participating in the Pals Blog Hop with Mary Fish.

The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

I am sharing with you in the next couple of days cards that I made for my Stamp Club’s Fall Swap.  Then it is off to Orlando for the Stampin’ Up! 30th Anniversary!  I am so excited.  If I read the information correctly, we can share new products this time.  Usually we cannot.  So be sure and follow me on Facebook for the updates.  I may not be able to do new posts but I know I will be able to add to the Blueline Facebook page.

Now, back to the cards.  The first is from my favorite set, Wishing You Well.  I have shared a similar card before I believe.  But this is definitely a keeper in the layout department.  When making multiples this card is awesome.

Wishing You Well, 147864

I purposely did not put a sentiment on the front.  That is the great thing about this stamp set.  You do not need a sentiment to ground it.  The additional bonus is that you can make multiples and put the appropriate sentiment on the inside as you need a card to send.  A Win / Win situation!!

I have listed all of the information on today’s card below, as well as the supply list.  Thank you for stopping in today.  And be sure to like my Facebook page for updates from Orlando beginning on Thursday.

NOTE:   There is a new feature being tested in the Online Store.  It is “Shop the Project”.  There are pictures of a card, etc, and you can click on it and see all of the supplies used.  If you need any of them, you simply click on that item and it goes into your shopping cart.  How cool is that???  Hopefully it will be utilized and become an added bonus to the website.

Dear Friend

For today’s card, I am still using scraps of Designer Series Paper.  And it is the Frosted Floral DSP again.  I just cannot let go of these little pieces.  Today I have used them as the focal point by making little banners.  Here is the card.

First Frost, 149943

Do you love this Designer paper as much as I do?  Wow!! Well now I hope you will add this fabulous stamp set/bundle to that list. It is the First Frost Bundle and headliner of the suite that includes the above mentioned fabulous DSP!  I have asked myself why this set is in the Holiday Catalog.  At least to me, it is more a year round stamp set.  All you have to do is change the colors.  And the matching dies, of which there are 11, have the different sprigs, the roses and some frames.  I don’t know why it is in this catalog, but I am thrilled that it is!!  I love it.

This stamp set is one of the special stamps Stampin’ Up! has created that have this built in depth to them.  You get the different texture/softness without two or three step stamping.  A definite win!

The background sprigs are inked with Old Olive and stamped off before stamping on the white.  I think they sort of mimic the sprigs on the DSP.

The sentiment is precious and is from the P.S. You’re The Best stamp set in the annual catalog.  I hope you will take a look at that set.  By using this little sentiment, the card could then have a multitude of different sentiments on the inside.  This would be a great one to make using your scraps of DSP to just have on hand.  Then you can add the appropriate sentiment needed on the inside.

Thank you for visiting today!  I greatly appreciate it.  All of the supplies used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Wild About You

I have a cute and whimsical card for you today. I have used the Animal Outing stamp set a few times already and just adore it.  But today I have added the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper to compliment the sentiment from the stamp set.

Animal Outing, 146600

I paired some bright colors for this card.  Truthfully though, they all came from the designer paper.  That is one of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up! and their designer paper.  The paper is so adorable and it takes you out of your normal comfort zone in terms of color.

The only stamping is for the sentiment.  I just like the alligator and the little bird taking the center stage with the sentiment playing along with their silliness.  To give the sentiment a grounding point I pulled the Poppy Parade from the top and left hand birds.  I had to stop myself from trying to add something else onto the banner.  It was really hard to just leave it blank. LOL!!

Thank you for visiting today!  I hope you will return tomorrow for the last of my Blended Seasons cards.  If you have not grabbed up this bundle yet, it is almost gone.  Friday is the last day to order it.  Also, the Bonus Days Coupon goes away on Friday too.  For every $50.00 of merchandise you get a 5.00 coupon to use in September.

  • The base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 folded in half
  • The first layer is 5 1/4 X 4
  • The DSP layer is 5 1/8 X 3 7/8
  • The banner is 1 1/2 X 3 before being punched.

I am showcasing the Blended Seasons Bundle for you today.  Time is running out for this awesome set of stamps and die cuts.  The shaped dies are fabulous!  I have another card tomorrow using the negative of the die I have used today.

Blended Seasons Bundle, 149894

I have been using the Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green colors quite a lot lately.  But I am not going to apologize for that!!  I have always used more Bright colors than any of the others and these two are my new favorites.  I think they pair very well for the Fall leaves.

The DSP is from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper, and it matches the texture of the Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon quite well.   My plan was to run the ribbon between the two die shapes so it could be seen more.  Of course I forgot my plan, and attached it as normal.

Thank you for visiting today.  As I said in the beginning, tomorrow’s card is using the negative of the die cut out, so please come back.  Remember that this Bundle is only available through Friday!!  And coincidently the Bonus days coupons run out on Friday also.  Hint: The Bundle itself will get you one of the coupons!!

Thankful For You

I inked up my Bokeh Dots stamp for the first time.  I have read where some people had difficulty getting a good impression.  I used the Stamparatus and a sponge brayer to allow me to ink it extra times if necessary.  I noticed as I did this that it went from very light and not really clear dots to pretty vibrant.  I believe either look would be good.  I wanted to show the dots fairly well, so I inked it several times.  After all of that I was very happy with the outcome.  Then I totally changed the direction I was headed with the card! LOL!  And ended up with this.

Stampin' Up!, Bokeh Dots, Many Blessings, Nature's Poem, Jackie Beers

Bokeh Dots, 148113

I know that the Bokeh is an unexpected background, and color for that matter, to go with a harvest set, but that is where I ended up.

the sentiment and the harvest crate is from the Million Dollar set Many Blessings stamp set in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  The gorgeous DSP is Nature’s Poem.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.  It really was a fairly quick and easy card to create.  That is if you do not change your mind mid card!

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you have an awesome weekend and will come back on Monday to see what is new.  REMEMBER that Bonus Days are running out!  There is only one more week to earn $5.00 on a $50.00 order.  Also the Blended Seasons stamp set will go away next Friday as well.
