Today I am sharing a fun Slim Line card with the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle as a Valentine Card. What could be better than ice cream and your sweetheart? Maybe more ice cream?? LOL!!!
Bundles and Stamps
The star of this card is the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle. I love the ice cream cone! The dies are amazing and so simple to layer. Since my husband likes vanilla ice cream, it was simple to use Basic White for the ice cream. The base is a solid piece with the more swirled look layered on top. It gives a great 3D look to the ice cream. And the cone has definition build into the die. An Easy Peasy layer.
The stamp part of the bundle is on the inside of the card. But I did add another great Valentine set for the front sentiment. The For You is from the Country Bouquet stamp set in the Annual Catalog. I wanted just a small tag for the ice cream cone.
Punches
This card is fairly simple looking but utilized a variety of products. There are two stamp sets and one die set mentioned above. And then I used two separate punches. The sweet hearts are from the Bee Builder Punch. The larger heart is used to punch the bee wings, and the smaller ones are for the antenna. I was thrilled when Stampin’ Up! showed those extra uses for the punch!
The second punch is for the tag. It is the Best Label Punch. This little guy is a favorite for simple little tags like this one. I use it fairly often for sweet and little sentiments. Adding the ribbon may seem a little odd on an ice cream cone. I call that creative license! LOL!!!
Papers
The fun hearts paper is from the Bee Mine Designer pack. Fun but not overly girly. I paired it with Real Red card base and just a layer of Basic White. Of course the hearts are Real Red as well. I consider the hearts as my bling on this card. And I know that is shocking. But I was being conservative.
Measurements
Since this is a slim line that I have not used in a while, I have measurements for you. The card base is 8 1/2 X 7 and scored and folded at 3 1/2. The White layer is 8 1/4 X 3 1/4. I cut two of those, one for front and one for inside. And the DSP is 8 X 3. I hope you will give a slim line a shot!

The card today is another using the Bee My Valentine Bundle. This time around is a little different regarding paper usage.
Papers
The Be Mine Designer Series Paper is the same paper as on the previous Bee Valentine. You can see that card HERE if you missed it earlier in the week. The special addition to this card is the sweet jar of Love. It was fussy cut from a piece of the DSP. There are jars with “honey”, “hug”, and the heart. I opted for the heart to match the Sweet Sorbet in the center DSP piece. The wonderful patterns in this pack of paper is perfect for any Spring cards, but especially to pair with this fun bee.
The card base is Daffodil Delight and is paired with the Basic White layer. That has the honeycomb stamp with Daffodil Delight Ink to create the background. The honeycomb pairs perfectly with the bee and the jar of Love.
Bundle
The only stamps used are from the Bee My Valentine set. The fun sentiment makes me think of a Southern type statement! You cannot help but smile. I believe this would make a great Thank You card for someone as well. And of course the bee with the Bee Builder Punch is perfect for creating your own bee. He can be going in any direction and with a variety of facial expressions. Plus you get the bonus of the two hearts. The wings and antenna are made with two sizes of hearts. I can see myself using these hearts on all kinds of projects!
Finishes
The sentiment layer is simply a strip of Basic White across the card. So I had to add some fun to that. Raising the bee and the little jar created some depth, but we must have bling! The Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers embellishments fill that need perfectly. And they have a kind of retro look to them. There are one on each end of the sentiment and then the yellow heart in the upper left corner. It sort of blends in with the honeycomb.
Measurements
The card base of Daffodil Delight is 4 1/4 X 11, folded at 5 1/2. The Basic White layer is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8. And the DSP is 2 1/2 X 3 1/4. For the sentiment it is a strip of Basic White cut to 3 1/2 X 3/4. I used scraps for the bee and wings. Since these are on one punch. I suggest stamping and punching the bee, then stamp and punch each of the others.
Thank you for stopping in today! I hope you have a great crafting weekend.

The Bee My Valentine Bundle is a fun one and is quite different from simply hearts. I love the versatility this gives. And with it being a Punch Bundle, it goes to the top of my list.
Stamps
This is a Bundle, but I wanted to focus on the stamps first. The sweetest bee is so happy looking. And it takes several stamps to make him so happy. That is also one of the things I love about this set. The bee body consists of the black stripes and then the oval Daffodil Delight over top. Next you have wings, antenna, and facial features. There are a couple of different facial stamps. That is great for different looks. Plus you can position the bee side view or straight up with wings on each side. Additionally there are different sayings, background stamps, etc. This is a year round stamp set!
Punch
The Bee Builder Punch is part of the Bundle. And it also offers variations. Or I should say other options. The bee body is one portion of the punch. And the wings are a separate Heart that can be a heart as well as punch out the wings. Plus the antenna is another heart that is smaller, as you can see from the bee I built. So you get a punch with two different sized hearts to use for any project. I especially love that!!
Papers
The Bee Mine Designer Series Paper obviously matches the stamp bundle. But it has pretty pages that will work anytime of the year. I used two of the pieces for my layers behind the bee. The Sweet Sorbet flower piece makes me excited for Spring. And the yellow plaid is an anytime paper as well. But they both go along perfectly with my Bee and honey design. The Daffodil Delight card base and the layer, which is stamped with the honeycomb in Daffodil Delight, add a little more dimension to the card.
Finishes
The sweet sentiment is included in the stamp set. I kept it simple by having just a strip of Basic White card stock. But I did embellish it with some soft bling. The flowers and hearts in pink and sorbet are from the Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers embellishments. I love these because they are so cute, but they are also flat. That is good for mailing to not have bumps in the envelope. And I have used them on other cards as well. They are sort of retro and are simply cute!

Happy Valentines Day to you all! My card is a non traditional Valentine card. But it has a fun and easy technique for a special look.
Paper
The special thing about this card is the Pinwheel. And I believe this particular paper from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper in Sale-A-Bration is sold out. Please don’t concern yourself there if you do not have this paper. All you need are two coordinating papers and there are tons of those in either of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs!
I pulled the two card stock colors from this DSP. They are Fresh Freesia for the card base and background of the pinwheel, and Mossy Meadow for the layer. These are not traditional Valentine colors, but are my preference over red.
Stamps
There really is only one stamp used on the front of the card. That is the sweet “With Love” tag. It is from the Country Bouquet stamp set. Yes, the Country Bouquet Punch is sold out for now, but the stamp set is still available and has many uses without the punch! I love the simple message on the tag.
Extra Touches
Even though the pinwheel is the star of the card, I wanted the rest to be detailed and textured. To accomplish this I used the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder on the Mossy Meadow Layer. Then I wrapped Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon around that layer and tied a bow. The finishing touches are the punched end of the tag. I used the Happy Labels Punch and the smaller of the two scallops and tucked the tag under the pinwheel. Then for the pinwheel’s center, I added one of the Fresh Freesia Opaque Gems . These are great as they come in a variety of sizes.
Making the Pinwheel
The pinwheel has been around for many years and is a simple process. There are a couple of ways to layer the pieces though. What I have done is one of the easiest I think. I started with two squares of Fresh Freesia measuring 2 5/8 X 2 5/8. I used my Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper to help me line everything up. Place the first square down as a square. Next lay the second square over top but in diamond form. You can see where the grid paper helps with getting everything equally aligned! Adhere the centers of these together.
For the DSP part you will need 4 pieces each of 2 different patterned papers. What I used is the front and back of one piece. So I cut 8 and then turned 4 the opposite direction. My main suggestion is to lay them out on the grid paper to decide how you like the papers if one is more a favorite. I liked the floral so wanted it to be top , bottom, and sides.
Having the Fresh Freesia piece makes aligning the DSP squares very simple. You simply allow the same amount of border with each piece you place down. I began at the top floral piece. ***The most important thing is this is the first and last piece! When you adhere this square, only add adhesive on the right of center. Leave the left side free. Now adhere all of the other simply alternating the pattern. When you get to the last one, apply adhesive and slip part of it underneath the first square. That is the reason it was not fully adhered.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a fun day!

Today’s card is a sweet Friendship or Valentine card. The Country Bouquet Bundle is an awesome one. I love the colors of the Designer Series paper. It is a happy paper for sure.
Paper
This beautiful DSP is the Country Floral Designer Series Paper. The colors and designs are somewhat Country, as the name suggests. But they are wonderful together and have a different sort of mix. I love the unexpected bicycle print on the larger piece I used. The vertical strip of Balmy Blue DSP is from the same pack of papers. And of course, all of my other color choices came from the bicycle print.
Stamps
I do have to say that the Country Bouquet Punch is out of stock until April. However, you can still purchase the stamp set. The sentiment and stamps are wonderful and since it is a punch containing the two hearts, you could quite easily cut them out. I stamped and then cut these two hearts. The left and right ones are from the set. As is the sentiment.
Punches
As I said, the Country Bouquet Punch is not in stock, but there are other heart punches. For the center heart with the sentiment, I used the Heart Punch Pack. This is the smaller of the two hearts. I believe it fits perfectly here between the two curvy hearts.
Finishes
To complete the card, I chose the Sweet Sorbet as the background for the bicycle print. That is the color I used to stamp the two hearts also. And since there are hearts in the strip of Balmy Blue DSP, I added one more. The Heart Pearls are a wonderful embellishment to have on hand. They fit in here perfectly.

Cats can be the sweet, playful, and so funny, which is why I love them. Not to say they cannot be a pain sometimes! But if there is a cat stamp I must have it. Today’s card is using the Love Cats stamp set. And I do love these guys.
Stamps
This cat is definitely in the Love category. I have two sisters who both love to roll in the floor and play. This image fits them perfectly. The Love Cats set has three cat images and fun saying to go with each one. I have used the hanging out cat previously. You can see it HERE. Both the cat and the sentiment are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
Papers
To continue the Fun theme, I went with a bright and happy piece of DSP. This sheet is from the Flowers & More Designer Series Paper. It is another of the multi-packs of paper that is a Host item in the Mini Catalog. I love the multi-packs for making multiples of one card or 3D projects. Sometimes you need more than two sheets of one pattern.
As usual I picked the DSP first. Then I found colors in the paper that I thought would go with my image. The card base and cat layer are Balmy Blue with the heart and layer in Polished Pink. I covered the bases for a sweetheart card for guys or gals.
Extras
To give some added dimension I used the Decorative Label Punch as the background for the kitty. Just having a different shape behind the circle really pops. The circle is cut using the Layering Circles Dies. If you still have circle punches, this is about 2″.
And for the finishing touch I used the new Pastel Sequins. To not play favorites, I used both pink and blue there also. These sequins are really nice and come in two different sizes. I love that.
