I have a card to share today that is pretty much an “any occasion” type card. It was really quick and easy to make. And it is almost a one stamp set card. At the last minute I decided to use a background stamp instead fo leaving the card base plain. Either would work wonderfully.
Incredible Like You, 148708
I love the sentiment, “You Are amazing”. Anyone would love to receive a card with that as the sentiment. I know I would. It may not show well in the photo, but the ends of the sentiment are torn instead of cut. It looks very nice in person but may not show well in the photo. I have been into “tearing” this week. Remember my card from Tuesday? LOL!
Other than the sentiment, the stamps are all from the Incredible Like You stamp set. I have a tip for you in stamping the flower. Normally I stamp the solid image first and then the definition image second. With the photopolymer stamps lining these two step images up is a piece of cake. Until I tried this very light color of Blushing Bride!! I could not really see the solid stamped image. So I tried it in reverse and stamped the dark definition stamp first. That worked amazingly! All I had to do was line up the bottom of the stamp and it was perfect. Please keep that little tip in your tool bag when using a very light color.
I found another unexpected result with the Granny Apple Green stamping. I stamped the stripes in Granny Apple Green and looked for a different green for the leaves I wanted to add to the flowers. None seemed to work without really standing out. So I tried the Granny Apple again and stamped off once . It was perfect. Well, actually it would have been perfect had I stamped the leaves full strength and the stripes lighter I think. Regardless, I was pleased with the result. It is the exact tone of color and shows up surprisingly well without contrasting with the stripes. Who Knew???
The background is made using the Crackle Paint background stamp. I love the look this gives. Background Stamps are so unique and give such different looks depending on the ink you use. I love using the same Ink as Card stock, like I did today. But I also like just using Versamark to do a light image. Although Versamark leaves a darker image on very light card stock. Another of those anomolies!
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back on Monday for another project.

Today’s card is showcasing the gorgeous Painted Season stamp set. If you do not have this set, I strongly suggest you think about it quickly. It goes away at the end of the month. I apologize that the photos do not do the definition on the stamps justice. It is one of the prettiest flowers that is in the Stampin’ Up! products right now.
Painted Season 149722
As I said above, the photo is not quite clear enough to see the great detail on the flower. So you will have to trust me. The other stamps are just as defined. The leaves I stamped here are in Soft Sea Foam, so they really do not show up well in the photo. Sorry about that.
This card is done with a technique I have not used in many years. It goes back to my beginning in stamping and is tearing the paper. Did you ever make cards with that touch added to them? For this one I tore a piece of copy paper to lay across the Whisper White piece. I then stamped the images over the paper. After I removed the torn piece, I came back and stamped the sentiment and little leaves on each end of it.
The sentiment is from Flowering Desert and just seemed to strike me as perfect. I thought of these flowers as beautiful from the first one I stamped. So of course when I saw the sentiment, I knew it was the one to use.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back tomorrow as it is an InKing Royalty Blog Hop! I know you will not want to miss the great projects that will be showcased by all my fellow team members. And as always, the complete product list is at the bottom of the page.

I hope that you will see the humor in today’s card. If you have followed me for very long, you will know that I love animals. When I first saw the new dog and cat stamp sets (Happy Tails and Nine Lives) in the Occasions Catalog, there was never a question of would I purchase them. I got them as quickly as I could. I love the stamps, but the sentiments are fabulous as well.
My favorite sentiment is the paw print, and next is “Keep Calm and Wag On” . We have had several dogs over the years and the last two were Labs. And they wag ALL The Time!!! So that was my beginning to this card.
Happy Tails Bundle, 150631
I really hope the tails look like they are wagging!!! At least that is my intention. Sometimes my vision doesn’t always work for others.
To make my wagging tail, I stamped and punched out the puppy. I then stamped two more tails on scrap paper and fussy cut them. I used glue dots to place them and then layered the puppy over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
This one made me smile and I hope it did you as well. I have listed all of the supplies at the bottom of the post. Please consider the join promotion going on now. The “JOIN” is really just a giant bundle you purchase. There is NO requirements or pushing for you to ever place another order. I hope you have looked at the new releases from Sale-A-Bration. Plus, the Organdy Ribbon was restocked and is available, while supplies last! But one of my favorite Sale-A-Bration sets is the Part of My Story stamp set. I really love the sentiments. For today’s card I have mixed some Annual Catalog products with that stamp set.
Part of My Story, 149719
I LOVE this sentiment! I feel this way about so many people and I believe it would make for an “anytime” type card. Or as a pick me up type card. Did you notice the new punch with the sentiment? It is the new release companion products to SAB. It is the Story Label Punch. Another great Punch, YAY!!
The stamp set I used is the Love What You Do stamp set from the Annual Catalog. It is a favorite just because of the simplicity. And I don’t think you can go wrong with a flower over a soft background. The splatter is a technique of flicking the tip of a Stampin’ Write Marker with the inside of it’s lid. It takes just a bit of careful practice and you will love it.
For this card I paired Powder Pink and Poppy Parade. I wasn’t sure at first but I am happy with the finished product. I do love playing around with all of the Stampin’ Up! colors. I am often surprised at what looks good together. To add to the colors, the Ombre Ribbon is actually Calypso Coral! Surprise 🙂
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you will come back tomorrow for a new project.

The title of today’s post may be a bit misleading. I was hoping for sunshine as I made the card I am sharing with you. I am ready to see some blue skies and sunshine! We have had rain for several days. I know there are people up north who have a lot of snow and freezing conditions. I am certain they would like some sunshine as well.
My little touch of Spring and sunshine is in a fairly simple card. I used the Incredible Like You stamp set. The card is made with only stamps from that set. I love to do this sometimes. It shows how well the sets can work alone. Plus this set has some really sweet sentiments.
Incredible Like You, 148708
For this card I used shades of green and shades of yellow. The flower is a Two Step flower. The base color is Daffodil Delight and the definition layer is Mango Melody. The greens are Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzaz. The Old Olive Linen Thread (which is super nice!!!) was a last minute addition and sort of covers the bit of whimsical stripes I had placed on that end.
I did add a butterfly from the Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper Botanical Butterfly for a little added texture and pop. The DSP is still available even though the Butterfly punch is out of stock at the minute. Truthfully the butterflies are very easy to fussy cut, but the Butterfly punch is going to carry over to the next Annual Catalog. That is only a couple of months away! Wow, time is flying!! Get the Designer Paper now and FREE during SAB, then you will have it when the punch is available again. You cannot beat FREE products.
Thank you very much for stopping by today. I hope you have a great weekend and will return on Monday. And as always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.

Sunday afternoon I spent a bit of time making several cards. I realized once I finished that I had done quite a bit of coloring with the Stampin’ Blends. I do love to color. Especially when I have enough time to really enjoy it. In that situation it is rather relaxing and I like to see the completed project.
For this card I broke out the Sale-A-Bration set Lovely Lattice. I went with soft colors, sort of. The coloring is done in soft colors, but the card base is BRIGHT! You know me, I love Bright. See what you think.
Lovely Lattice, 149730
I layered the DSP so that there is not a lot of the base card, but just enough to blend with the center of the flowers. The base is Pineapple Punch card stock. I was afraid to go with Daffodil Delight in that it might just fade away.
I really enjoyed coloring the flowers here. More so than I thought I would. I got to practice my blending of the two shades of Stampin’ Blends. It seems odd to me though. The two shades show less blended in the photo than in real life. Hhmmmm…….
I almost forgot to mention the stamped image. I know it has been stressed that we should use the Memento Ink to stamp the image that we are going to use the Stampin’ Blends on so that it does not bleed through. But….Stampin’ Up! did a video when the Blends were first debuting, that you can do a “No Line Coloring”. Or a similar look as that. It was done by stamping in the color you were going to color with. Well, for today’s card, I stamped in Smokey Slate. I wanted it to have a softer look than the Black of Memento Ink. I was thinking soft, Victorian, romantic, etc. So I tried it and it worked wonderfully! I hope you will give it a try as well.
Anyway, thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will let me know your method for blending the shades. And please return tomorrow for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop! I cannot wait to see all the beautiful projects.
A NOTE about yesterday’s post: I used a Paper Pumpkin stamp set on yesterday’s card. You can see it HERE if you missed it.
