I have used the Stone & Vine 3D Embossing Folder a few times to share with you all. This is another of that gorgeous detailed ivy vine. I am not sure why I am so impressed with this embossing folder. It seems to mesmerize me at the detail it shows. There really is a 3D effect.
Stone & Ivy Embossing
You can easily see the ivy standing out on this card front. The stone may be a bit more difficult to see in the photo but it is definitely there as well. Stampin’ Up!s designer really outdid themselves on this one in my opinion. And who doesn’t love a card that with one crank through the Stamp Cut & Emboss Machine you have a gorgeous card front!!
Floral Details
The flower “focal” area is the second best part of this card. I used the Lovely Arrangements Bundle for these pretty flowers and leaves. The flowers are left plainer than normal. I stamped them using Secret Sea Ink and then used a Blender Pen to use that ink to give them some highlights. Don’t get me wrong. These flowers are pretty no matter what color they are. And I love the two different designs. The sentiment and layer is also from the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. I used the Secret Sea Marker to go around the edge of the white for a look of another layer.
The leaves are only Die cut using Mossy Meadow cardstock. All of the details are from Dies themselves. The light blue sprig, which is actually from Cloud Cover cardstock, is from the Beautifully Celebrated Die set. I had been using that set on another project and just loved that sprig. It reminds me of baby’s breath you see in flower arrangements. And even though it is hidden fairly well, the layer for the florals in Secret Sea cardstock is one of the layering designs from the Beautifully Celebrated Dies. These are so pretty!
Extras
The embossing and the floral layer stand out quite a bit as detail. So I did not feel there needed to be too much on the Extra side today. Of course there must be bling you all know! So I used the every popular Rhinestones as the Bling. And they may actually be the biggest of bling in terms of shine. I added one to each flower center and a third one to the area of the leaves.
Measurements
This is a little bit of a Fun Fold. So here are the measurements: Score the card base that is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 at 2 1/8 & 4 1/4 on the long side. Then cut the embossed layer to 4 X 5 1/4. It fits over the 2 1/8 section on the front. You can see a bit of that in the photo above. The inside White is 4 X 5 1/4 as well and layered to be sure it does not show when the card is closed. It could be a hair smaller if you wanted to not have to worry about getting it just so when adhering it.

Even without having a lot of children to make cards for, I still love the fun stamp sets. Or in today’s case, fun DSP. I believe we are never too old for whimsical things. A quick card with a touch of whimsy is right up my alley.
Partial Matchbook Fold
I started to call this Fun Fold a Matchbook Fold, but it is only held together at the bottom by the Happy Birthday circle. So I renamed it a Partial Matchbook Fold. This one could not be any easier to do. And would work in landscape mode as well.
The card base is 4 1/4 X 9 1/4 and scored at 5 1/2. The front flap DSP is 4 X 3 3/4 and is in landscape if it is a directional paper as I used. For the bottom small section I chose to simple use the back side of the bugs. The little grass goes perfectly with them. The bottom DSP is 3 X 1 1/8. And to ensure the inside White layer does not show from the bottom, it is 4 X 3 5/8.
Designer Paper
This adorable critter covered DSP is the Cute As A Bug Designer Series Paper. There is a stamp and Die set available to complete this fun whimsical bug theme. I personally loved the bugs and the colors used. Almost any of the Stampin’ Up! colors would work with this paper in the varying bug details.
The card base is simple in Old Olive. This is a fabulous green that has been around for many years which proves it’s use and love. The ink on the Happy Birthday is Poppy Parade. Of course it is pulled from the mushrooms and pops against the green.
Stamps
As a demonstrator we get to pre-order upcoming products. I have purchased several items from the March OnLine Exclusives. And I used one today in the sentiments for this card. So you are getting a sneak peek at the Cutest Crew stamp set. The mixed fonts of the Happy Birthday are always one thing I love. The inside is all from that stamp set. Here is an inside view:
The inside sentiment is using Daffodil Delight along with Poppy Parade for the butterflies. And to do a simple splash of color to the butterflies I used a Blender Pen. I love, when I think to do this, to add some color or shading to an image. In this case I wanted the shadowed look instead of just a light color. It could be done however you like. The Blender Pen uses the image’s ink to color. Although you need to do it fairly soon after stamping.
Extras
There are two extras today. The circle of the front sentiment is from the Stylish Shapes Dies. And the bling is a 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearl in Darling Duckling. It does have the pearly sheen which is very pretty and noticeable.

Card making is something I do because I love it. I was wowed and in love from the first home party I went to many years ago. Since I have been busy with the houses and not stamping as much I have felt the lack of being me. Now that I am stamping regularly again I am back to my happy place. Today’s card is one that fits my feelings. It is a card for no reason other than “Just Because” . I believe there are quite a lot of people that would appreciate a simple Just Because card.
Beautifully Celebrated
These layering Dies are from the Beautifully Celebrated Die set. There are flowers and other pieces to the set, but I wanted these lovely layering pieces. For me the layers make the card. I used three different sheets from the Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper. Not really sure why I chose to add Strawberry Slush to the Balmy Blue, but it works.
Gallery Blooms
The single floral stem is from the Gallery Blooms Bundle. I sponged the colors using Sponge Daubers and stamped a couple of times to get the right colors. There are some bleeding over, but I am ok with that. Handmade cards are not perfect. At least mine are not!
The stem is cut using the matching Die from the Bundle. I did raise it from the layers using Stampin’ Dimensionals for some depth. And I added a double Linen Thread Bow for texture. To add a simple bow to a single flower is something I tend to always do.
Sentiment
This sweet and perfect sentiment is one that is in the February Product of the Month. I hope you have grabbed this set entitled Fabulous Sayings. There is a great mix of sentiments in this set. It is only $5.00 with a $75.00 order. And it is while supplies last. But if it does not sell out in February, it will still be available in March while supplies last.
Extras
I have already mentioned the Linen Thread as the first Extra for today. The other are Rhinestones. These are something that I love but forget when there are new embellishments to play with. However they are definitely one to keep in your stash. They work with almost any card layout. Some really shiny bling is never wrong!

I have another of the Love Notes cards to share today. This is the last of the Valentine, or any occasion, card. These were so easy and fun to make. I hope you will consider this paper as a Go To for a quick, sweet card.
Polka Dot Love
The Love Notes Designer Series Paper is all of this card. I have used multiple parts of the pack. The polka dot larger layer has the lovely floral arrangement pre done on it. Then I added the two strips to the left. The checked strip was shown in the last post along with the purple. And of course these adorable heart flowers on the far left strip. How fun is that!! Even the sentiment is from the paper. I simply used the Paper Trimmer to cut it out and slid it over to the right edge. A few cuts and some glue is all that was needed. I did add Cherry Cobbler as the card base on this one.
Extras
This called for very little Extras as it has the variety of patterns of paper. But of course it still received two Extras. The bow is from the Garden Green Chevron Ribbon. The thin ribbon makes for an easy ribbon to work with. And of course Bling is a must. I still consider green a Bling. These are from the Moody Palette Glossy Dots. I really love these. They are flat and with enough shine to stand out.

I am continuing my group of cards made with the Love Notes Designer Series Paper. It is such a fun paper and makes cards in a snap. Today’s is EX-tra Fun I think.
Love Notes in a Cup
All of the papers, with the exception of the card base and layer, are the Love Notes DSP. As I have said several times, this paper is so much fun to use. It is like “what can I pair together next?”. Personally I was overjoyed when I saw these purple layers. Purple, along with orange, are my favorite colors. So this was meant to be.
The purple polka dot layer is so cute with the faded look going on. And the strip of plaid is the reverse of another sheet of the DSP I had trimmed. It matches the heart on the cup. And the two are what gave me the Flirty Flamingo as the card base and layer.
Extras
This is maybe the simplest of all of the Love Notes cards I have made. So there is only one extra today. But it is also a favorite that I am so happy is still an active product. It is the Purple Shimmer Gems. These are so pretty as they come in a variety of purples. Almost like the polka dot DSP, there are different shades of purple. They are a great embellishment to have on hand.
