One of my wonderful friends is a serious flower lover. She has a gorgeous garden all around her house. It being her birthday I had to make a floral birthday card. The new violet suite was the perfect thing to use.
The Bundle
This beautiful violet card was created using products from the Violet Dreams Suite Collection. I did not use every product, just several. First is the Stamp Set. I stamped and colored the violet sprig. It is a perfect size for a focal layer as I used it. I stamped with Basic Gray Ink and then colored with Stampin Blends in Peaceful Pine, Highland Heather, and Hydrangea Hue. I used Peaceful Pine Ink for the sentiment as it was surrounded by the purples where it is located.
The Die set part of the Bundle is next. There are Dies for the sprig as well as those little violet flowers I scattered around the focal layer. Then there is the layering for the sentiment. This is two individual oval Dies that layer perfectly, but could also be used separately. That is a nice extra.
Papers
The continuation of the Suite is the gorgeous DSP. This is the Violet Dreams Designer Series Paper. These sheets are all beautiful with different violet patterns. And the reverse sides are coordinating colors that are just as wonderful.
To make the card of course I pulled the cardstock colors from the DSP. The card base is Gorgeous Grape cut 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 with a layer of Peaceful Pine that measures 5 1/4 X 4. Then comes the gorgeous DSP which is cut to 5 X 3 3/4. I tend to have less edging but wanted each of these colors to stand out a little more today. And for the focal layer I chose the Highland Heather for the scalloped oval with Basic White as the inner oval. The Highland Heather scalloped oval is a nice compliment to the darker Gorgeous Grape of the card base. Of course the small violet florets are Highland Heather also. It is so easy when all you have to do is Die cut and you have a gorgeous flower!
Extras
There is only one Extra for today. Since my friend is a mega gardner, I looked for something to compliment that theme. Of course there would be butterflies. So out came the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies in Hydrangea Hue. This is the color of the background to the DSP. It is more of a stamped off shade however. Having the butterlies pop a little more was perfect to me. So I used a trio of them to flutter around.

Quick cards are ones I love to make. Of course I want them to be cute as well as quick. Beautiful DSP and the proper sentiment generally are all that is needed. Today’s card is one of those type cards.
Papers
This card is mostly about paper choices. The layout lends itself to almost any kind of sentiment and pretty papers. My card is using the Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper. This DSP pack has a bit of everything in it from florals, stripes, to splotches. I have put a floral and stripe together that I believe works beautifully. And of course the cardstock is pulled from the DSP. In this case the card base is Lost Lagoon with a layer of Bubble Bath.
To create the DSP layers you actually are making the fronts for two cards at one time. My patterns could go either way, although the stripe is probably better vertically. To cut these place the two DSP pieces (each are cut to 3 1/2 X 4 3/4) with the sides you want to use behind each other. For instance on my card the floral was in front with the stripe up against the back of the floral. This way you can cut both at one time and know the pieces will fit back together perfectly. Hopefully that is understandable and if not, you can always cut them individually from top right to bottom left.
Stamp and Punch Bundle
The sentiment is created with a new Stamp and Punch Bundle from the May Catalog. I love punches as they are very versatile and easy to make multiples of. Plus no machine is required. This great new Bundle is the Exciting Times Bundle. The punch is called the Rounded Rectangle Punch. But I think you will want the stamp set as well. There are a variety of sentiments plus two different “edges” to go around the sentiment. I stamped the edging with Lost Lagoon Ink and then the sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink
Extras
There are only a few Extras today as this is a quick and easy one. The first is the extra little flower on the sentiment. I wanted to replicate the flowers in the DSP. This one comes from the Scalloped Blooms Die Set. I used the smallest of the scalloped circles as the flower. It is cut from Bubble Bath and then has some shine added with another of the Extras. The shine is from the new Barely Blush Shimmer Brush. These Shimmer Brushes are available only in the new 2026-2028 In Colors. There will be more colors next year! And the last Extra is the Bling. The center of the flower includes one of the Hydrangea Hue 2026-2028 In Color Dots. I believe these little Extras were all that was needed to upgrade the card.

I am a bit late showcasing the wonderful Boutique Blooms Bundle from the May Catalog. It was brought out for a card my Club created this month, and it was a hit. Mixing and matching colors and products is what I love to do. This card is one of those mixes.
Papers
The headline is the stamp bundle, however I have been starting my project explanations with the papers and decided to continue that today. After all the paper is the basis of the card. And this DSP is fabulous. It is the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper. The soft colors of the tiny flowers really called to me. But when you add in the touches of gold, well Oh My!!.
There was debate on which color to use as the card base and which for the layer. Flirty Flamingo was the decision on the base, with Petal Pink as the layer. Both are included in the DSP. I had seen a card on FB with the DSP being cut larger than the layer and loved the idea. This card seemed to be a perfect one to give that a try. The DSP is cut to 3 7/8 X 5 1/8 with the layer at 3 3/4 X 5. There is not a lot of overhang only enough to give you a little peek.
The other cardstock used is for the little leaves around the flowers. This is Peaceful Pine that was stamped on using Peaceful Pine ink. I love tone on tone with darker shades.
Stamp Bundle, Etc
The Bundle used to create the flower arrangement is the Boutique Blooms Bundle. There are several flowers and leaves in the set along with matching Dies to cut them. I opted for the one larger flower and then a couple of the little ones which sort of mimic the DSP pattern. They are stamped using Crisp Cantaloupe and then the small ones are “filled” with Petal Pink. I did use the new Barely Blush Shimmer Brush for some highlights but it did not show up well in my photograph. That is definitely something I have trouble with periodically.
To create the “window” of my card I went to an old favorite and one I hope does not retire any time soon. That is Stylish Shapes Dies. I used the largest of the Square shape to cut the window on the front for the DSP to shine through. And as a finish there had to be a simple sentiment. This one I found in the Cutest Crew stamp set. It is stamped using Peaceful Pine Ink to tie in the small leaves again.
Extras
The bling for this card are the wonderful, but sadly leaving us, Iridescent Foil Gems. These are on the Last Chance List but were still there today as I type. Grab them if you like subtle touches of gold. They are wonderful for that.

Stamping on pretty DSP causes me to hesitate just a second. I am afraid of dropping the stamp or stamping crooked! Only because I have done those things. For today’s card I managed to stamp straight with no malfunctions. All of that aside, this is a great card layout using a leftover piece of DSP.
A Die Cut Frame
This layer was cut previously for a different card and did not use it. (I also still had the piece cut from the center !) Then I happened to have this beautiful DSP on my table as well and I thought it would make a fabulous frame. This is a layering Die from the Beautifully Celebrated Dies. These were in the previous Mini and are still available as an OLE. It is bundled with a great stamp set also. Additionally there are other fun Dies besides these layering ones.
The center cut out shape was used on this card also. This is the 2nd largest Die from the layering ones. I used the next smaller and cut from Basic White. These are then layered on the inside of the card for a fancier touch.
Papers
The beautiful DSP is one I used last week. It is from the Valley In Bloom Designer Series Paper. These little bells are so pretty. They have the softest touch of Blackberry Bliss. And that was what my Die cut piece is. A win for me. There are a few different greens in the art work and it was a little back and forth to choose which to use. I decided to go with Bright, and ended with Granny Apple Green to draw out the brightness of the leaves.
Stamps
The gorgeous mix of fonts, and the sweet sentiments are from a new stamp set. It is titled Sending Salutations. And these are wonderful sentiments. It is an all sentiment set and I am good with that. This covers a variety of needs in a very beautiful way. To continue the Granny Apple of the cardstock, I used that for the stamping. It seemed not too bold for the stamping on the DSP.
Extras
The only Extra is a subtle Bling. I know I have used these several times previously, but they are my favorite Bling in the new catalog. They are the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies. I went with the Blush Color for a very subtle touch next to the sentiment. That is not a normal Bling thing to be subtle. I just though this was such a pretty picture, that subtle would work.

I have paired some fabulous DSP with an easy Fun Fold to share with you. I have been going through old cards I have saved for inspiration and found this Fun Fold. I thought the DSP I used is perfect for this layout to use the continuing pattern. I hope you like it.
This is the stand up and be seen position. Next is the laying flat to fit in the envelope. The Flower pot was exactly the correct size Die cut. Whew!
Gorgeous DSP
This beautiful DSP is the Vally In Bloom Designer Series Paper. It is part of the Suite which includes the Lily of the Valley stamp set and other products. The sheet I chose to use has the flowers across the bottom and up each side. I cut it so that I could continue the pattern from the top of the card, which turns into the back when open, down to the bottom of the inside. When closed, as in the second photo, you see the top and middle with a peek of the inside. Then in the first photo you see the middle section and the bottom which is where the sentiment / stopper is location.
I began with a piece of the DSP cut to 5 1/4 Wide and 5 1/8 tall. The top and middle sections are cut beginning at the top of the 5 1/8 and are each 1 7/8 X 5 1/4. Then the inside strip is what is left at the bottom. Personally, I love being able to do a continuous picture with DSP. The card base measures 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and is scored on the long side at 2 1/8 and 4 1/4.
Stamps
The flower pot image is from the Life In Bloom stamp set. This set contains some larger sentiments for scrapbooking, but I love it for card making as well. I chose this stamp set because of the blooms in the pot matching the DSP. The colors used for coloring are pulled from the paper as well. The Blackberry Bliss of the pot may be a bit brighter than I expected, but that is ok.
The sentiment is from the Phrases & Frames stamp set. This set has some simply perfect sentiments. And of course the mix of fonts is perfection. The sentiment is stamped using Berry Burst, which actually matched the urn fairly well.
Extras
The Extras today are fairly big ones. LOL!! The Dies used for the sentiment and flowers are from the Nested Essentials Die Set. I love this set. It is a partner to my other favorite Die set in Stylish Shapes. Both of these sets are layering shapes. The vase was an issue being tall and skinny. I felt this shape fit it perfectly. That is the second largest of that Die shape. And the sentiment layer is the smallest one. It is raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals to make the stopper for the Fun Fold to rest against for display
There must always be Bling! These today are real shimmery bling. They are from the Shimmering Dots. I placed one on the sentiment layer and then two around the vase. The color matches the Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist in the DSP. And it compliments the Pretty Peacock of the card base.

Sympathy cards are always a difficult card to create for me. Part of that is that they must still be a pretty card that might make the recipient smile just a bit. A pretty floral with a “hug” attached fits that idea pretty well.
Papers
This floral pattern is one I have used previously. The Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper is really exceptional. All of the colors are bright and with the copper accents become really stunning. And to highlight the gorgeous blue, I paired it with two of my favorite blues. The card base and embossed layer are Secret Sea and the blue is the new Hydrangea Hue. It could be called a blue…ish. To me it has a purple tint to it. All I can say is that it is my new favorite.
Stamps
The stamp is a small part of the front of the card. But it definitely sets the tone. Hugs can be very loving and healing. This small sentiment is a great size for many card fronts. Here it fits perfectly layered on the side of the floral pattern. There is a sweet inside sentiment as well. Both of these sentiments are from an upcoing new stamp set titled Phrases & Frames. It is a fabulous sentiment set in the May – August Catalog. Additionally I added a strip of the DSP to coordinate wit the front.
Extras
The Extras on today’s card are very important and part of the beauty. First is the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder. These detailed leaves are a perfect pairing for the floral DSP. The detail has great depth. Then there are the fabulous as always Everyday Arches Dies. These were still on my desk from the floral card I shared last week. It sets a scene like you were looking into the garden through an archway. Plus the smallest of the arches was turned sideways for the sentiment. And last but not least are the bling. These are the Natural Matte Dots. I broke my own rule and only used two bling. My rule is to have an odd number. Except the placement was to appear as fasteners for the sentiment layer.
