I hope you had a good weekend and are ready to get some more card making ideas. I have returned to the Annual Catalog today with a little bit of the Occasions Catalog thrown in.
I loved the Jar of Love stamp set from the first time I saw it. I grew up with Ball Jars used for just about everything, including drinking glasses! So this was right out of my childhood. I added some LOVE to today’s card with just a small touch. Here is the card.
Jar of Love, 141587
Did you pick up on my LOVE? I do adore the different words that just happen to fit on the jar! I think this card could be used for a variety of reasons, and obviously could be done in almost any color you wanted. That is always a win and one of the things I look for when searching for card ideas and layouts.
Everything on the jar and the stamped flowers are included in the Jar of Love stamp set. The punched flowers are from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack in the Occasions Catalog. The Heart Epoxy Droplets are in that catalog as well. Remember, they are the clear ones that can be colored with the Stampin’ Blends.
I have a tip that I used for the punched flowers. I used the Paper Pierce Mat and the Paper Piercing Tool to give some dimension to the punched flowers. Place the flower on the mat and use the handle end of the tool to press down into the mat. It bends the flower pretty evenly. And of course adding the pearl to the center is just the finishing touch!
Thank you for visiting today. Please return tomorrow for another card idea. All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page. And a gentle reminder about the Join Promotion and the awesome Shopping Spree you get with it. I do promise that there are NO pressure sales to do more than join and place that original order. (I had the option to purchase, and of course I did. It is well worth the $50.00 and is a Fabulous deal for $30.00)
Here is the Tote. It is a great size, has dividers that can be moved for whatever products you are carrying each use. There are two outside pockets that are large enough to hold punches, and much more. There is a zipper outside pocket. It has regular straps as well as a shoulder strap. It has the Stampin’ Up! logo. It is made of a great heavy weight canvas. And it is so Pretty!!
I have shown you this card fold previously. Before, I used the thick DSP from Share What You Love. Today I have used DSP from Nature’s Poem, which is regular weight. So I added a twist and gave it a backing. Are you intrigued? Here is the different version.
Country Home, 147678
And here is the open view.
Can you see the thin border of Mint Macaron on the back panel? Because the Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper is a more normal weight of DSP, I felt it wasn’t strong enough to stand as a card. So I added the 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 piece on the back. If you have been stamping a while you might remember prior to SU giving us the Thick Whisper White. We used the regular Whisper White and add a layer of colored card stock as the base like this.
I do love this DSP. The colors are great and I really like the stripes next to the leaves when it is folded. I did adhere the center of the front fold before adding the oval and flowers. The flowers are stamped in Gray Granite and colored with Stampin’ Blends. I was so happy when this Country Home set carried over. And I hope it carries over into the next Annual Catalog as well. I love the milk can and pitcher, and that the colors can be adapted to whatever you need. Another Thank You to Stampin’ Up! for these great stamp sets.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed today’s twist on the Tri-Fold. I have included the measurements below as well as the supply list at the bottom of the post.

I am playing along with CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #306 today. Brian King was who inspired this sketch. Of course, I had to give it a try. My first thought after seeing the sketch was that the Frogs would be perfect. Here is my card.
Part of My Story, 149719
Here is the sketch I am CASEing:
As I said above, I decided on the frog from Hoppy Together, A SAB stamp set, right away, and then the Lemon Lime Gingham was a perfect match. But I could not find the sentiment that seemed to be “Just Right”. Then I ran across the Part of My Story stamp set, another SAB item, and new I had found the correct sentiment. “I’m So Glad You Are a Part of My Story” is one that I loved the minute I saw it. It makes me think of dear friends, loved ones, and especially the friends and family we can just be our super silly self with. The perfect pairing for the crazy frog!!
Other than finding the perfect match, the card was super quick and easy. I stamped in Tuxedo Black and colored the frog with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I love that you can see a touch of the Gingham check through the coloring. It adds a bit of dimension to his body.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you will return tomorrow for a another new project. All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the post.

I commented yesterday that I had found old cards and 3D projects and would be CASING them. Well, today is one of those Cases. I did two versions of the Card & Envelope all in one.
This project utilizes the Envelope Punch Board. This is one of my favorite tools to use. I just do not do it often enough. Usually I use it for other than envelopes, but today it was used for just the designed purpose. Too funny!!
Needles & Thread Bundle, 150626
And here it is open.
The one above is made from a 6X6 piece of Designer Series Paper. The inside card is 3 1/8 X 4 1/8.
The larger one below is made with an 8 X8 piece of Designer Series Paper with the inside card 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.
Needles & Thread Bundle, 150626
These are actually very quick and easy to do . The most difficult part is deciding how you want to do the closure. And all that takes is a flower or object that the top flap slips behind. The small one is the banner that says Thank You, and the large one is the flower layers. For the flower, or something similar, I suggest a thick card stock and remember to put your dimensional(s) on the bottom portion only. This way the flap slides behind the upper section and stays in place.
I used the Envelope Punch Board measurements for the size I wanted. Actually I looked for the size paper I wanted to use first. Also, there are no unusual steps to these cards. Start with the first Punch/Score mark and then rotate the paper around, aligning the score line each time. The small one begins at 2 5/8, and the large one begins at 3 1/2.
Special Note: Do Not Forget that it is Sale-A-Bration time. The Needles & Thread Bundle will put you 4.25 away from a FREE item.
I hope you will give these little guys a try and let me know what you think. Thank you for stopping by today. I have listed the supplies for both cards in the supply list at the bottom of the page. Even though they look different, pretty much everything is included in the bundle.

I have finally broken out the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and OH MY !!! I am in love!! These are now my favorite Layering Framelits. Be warned, I will be using these often I believe! And I played with the Home To Roost rooster from Sale-A-Bration. I have seen some beautifully colored roosters, as well as some just stamped roosters. I like the look of both. Today though, I went with a brightly colored rooster.
Rectangle Stitched Framelits, 148551
I was not so sure about this guy at first. We had a rooster show up in our neighborhood last year. And he was a pain. (I live in a subdivision and not in the country!) So I was not too fond of chickens after that. I am over it due to this cute fellow. I now LOVE him! And I am very happy with the coloring and how it works with the card stock layers. I wasn’t sure on the colors at first, I am sure this is not a normal looking rooster! But the bright layers of card stock makes the rooster pop. Plus it gives the opportunity to see the beautiful Rectangle Stitched Framelits in action!!
To give a bit of texture to the white around the rooster, I used the splatter stamp from Beauty Abounds. I love using small background stamps to add texture or just to soften up the stark white sometimes. The sentiment also came from Beauty Abounds.
A last note about these framelits, They put stitching on the layer it cuts out, but also on the piece that is left. Sort of a two for one deal! And we love those….. For these layers, I used the largest die, skipped one, used the next die, skipped one, and used the next die. I had planned on three consecutive sizes but when I saw how close together they would be, I opted for more card stock showing.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you will return tomorrow to see a new project. Remember the JOIN PROMOTION below!

I have a super quick and easy card today! It is the definition of #SimpleStamping. It can be done quickly, great for multiples, and is wonderful with almost any designer series paper. Can you guess what the layout is? I will not keep you in suspense.
Butterfly Gala Bundle, 150599
How cute is this? And with FREE Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper (Botanical Butterfly DSP), you just cannot do better. I chose the Lemon Lime Twist as the base color because I did this card with my Stamp Club. Of all of the colors of butterflies, the Lemon Lime Twist was the most prevalent. Since I used all of the two sheets with this pattern I went with simplest to match.
For the little butterflies, they also came from this same DSP, just a different sheet. And I LOVE punches for quick and easy. It was super simple for my ladies to punch the butterflies and add to their cards.
I hope you will give this layout a try. Any DSP that Stampin’ Up! has would work in this configuration. I will suggest that you stamp the underneath sentiment prior to adhering the paper. Can you guess why I know that? LOL!!
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another quick and easy project. I have the complete list of products (although there are not very many with this cutie) at the bottom of the post. And please read through the Join Promotion details I have listed below. I would love to talk with you about joining my team. I can give you a lot more reasons than I have listed here.
