Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around LOVE. You’re certain to see some amazing ideas for Valentine’s Day in the hop, but there are other ways to honor love in the lineup, too. What fun! We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card definitely follows the “LOVE” theme. Just not in the way you would expect maybe. I adore all , well almost all, animals. Especially dogs and cats. So when looking through stamps for this Love project, I couldn’t help but give Happy Tails and Nine Lives a second look. Since I couldn’t decide on one of the sets……….I chose to use both of them…….together!! What better kind of LOVE!!
Happy Tails Bundle, 150631
I tried to not get too fancy with the colors of the animals. That can be a bit tricky sometimes. I went with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede, which pairs beautifully with the Flirty Flamingo. The Wood Textures DSP was a great find, which led to the stitched heart “cut out” of the fence behind them. I do love the Be Mine Framelits and the fact that some do not cut out pieces but embellish them.
The sentiment is from the Nine Lives stamp set and is so true!! In case you were not aware, the Nine Lives stamp set pairs with our Cat Punch from the Annual Catalog. And isn’t it perfect that Stampin’ Up! designed the two so they face each other? A match made in heaven, at least to me.
As always, I have all of the supplies listed at the bottom of the post. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me. I would love to hear from you.

It is made of a great heavy weight canvas. And it is so Pretty!!
I have made a super quick , and super cute, little #SimpleStamping card for you today. I made a little 3 1/4 square card. There are no frills, just a sweet little card. It would be a great gift card or even attached tag/card. All you would need to do is punch a hole in the corner. See what you think.
Hey Love, 148644
This little guy is just so darn cute!! Who wouldn’t love him! I stamped the little guy and colored with the Stampin’ Blends. I made him look like what I think a skunk would look like, not necessarily an accurate looking one. And I did it in Smoky Slate as opposed to Black so you could see the cute features.
My valentine color this year is going to be this Lovely Lipstick. I think it is such a versatile color. The little hearts that are stamped are colored in with Lovely Lipstick dark Stampin’ Blend. As is the Heart Epoxy Droplet.
Have you noticed these adorable hearts in the catalog? I had one person comment that they didn’t think they would want a clear heart on the card. But when I showed the ability to make it any color you want by using the Stampin’ Blends, it was a total game changer! I wish I could say that I thought of it, but of course many others thought of it first.
Of course, this entire stamp set could be used for other than Valentine cards. They are just adorable little animals. I am going to be playing with them to see what I can come up with.
I outlined the little guy with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend just to give him a bit of a stand out look. I got this idea from fellow demonstrator Susan Itell. She does this quite often and I love the look it gives.
Thank you for visiting again today. I really do appreciate it. I have included all of the supplies at the bottom of the page. And once again, please check out the Join Promotion.

My first card club of the year was yesterday. It is so nice to get back in the groove and share what I love with friends! I could not wait to share with them products from the new catalog. You will be seeing these cards in the next couple of days.
For the first card I used the Meant To Be Bundle. Oh My!! Those dies are fabulous. You really do need the Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheets for some of the hearts. It makes adhering them super easy. And the little step of adding the adhesive sheet before cutting is really no big deal. For me, it is remembering to do it! LOL!!
This card is not just for Valentine’s Day. With the sentiment I used it could be for a variety of reasons, or the sentiment could easily be swapped for another.
Meant To Be Bundle, 150587
I LOVE everything about these lovely dies. The stitching, the curly lace look, and the solid hearts (although I did not use one of those on this project), are all perfect for a variety of ideas.
I pulled my colors from this gorgeous DSP. It is the All My Love Designer Series Paper. And for a change I used the main side instead of the reverse side 🙂 I did stamp the sentiment is Lovely Lipstick, which is also in this DSP. I needed the darker color to show up on the blue. I just could not bring myself to use Black on this card.
This gorgeous ribbon is one of the Sale-A-Bration items. This means it is FREE! And you get five rolls of this beautiful ribbon simply by spending 50.00 on products. Hint: the Meant to Be Bundle is 53.00, so there you are! This Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack contains 5 Yards each of Balmy Blue, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather, and Lemon Lime Twist ! WOW!! That is 25 Yards of ribbon at No additional cost to you!!

I hope you had a great New Year’s Eve and a wonderful beginning to your New Year. I stayed home and enjoyed the quiet.
Today I am continuing with sharing new projects with some of the Retiring Items from the Holiday Catalog. Today’s project uses a stamp set that I am surprised did not carry over. It has multiple stamps for most of the different times of year. I am referring to the Making Everyday Bright stamp set. The matching punch and stamp set did carry over however.
I have also used my Stamparatus for another great “Additional Idea”. I have posted previously about the “Wreath Blank”. You can see that HERE. That post explains the wreath process and how to make one of your own. I will remind you that I used the Layering Squares Dies. And used the largest of the Non-scalloped ones. I suggest making a couple of the templates to have on hand. I store mine in the Stamparatus Carry Bag so I always know where they are.
Here is today’s project, which could be either a “love you” or Valentine card.
Making Everyday Bright, 148813
I will say that I TWO Step wreath maker on this one. The stamps were not cut to allow doing the bulb and the glow at the same time. So I had to do the process twice to get both images. I believe it was well worth my time to do that. I am very happy with the final product.
I did have trouble deciding what to put in the center. I finally decided on the heart from the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. I punched it from Flirty Flamingo card stock and then added some Fine Tip Glue Pen glue to the top of it for a bit of added shine.
The inside of the heart lightbulbs are colored with the Light Flirtly Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. The DSP I used is the beautiful All My Love DSP from the upcoming Occasions Catalog.
Thank you so much for checking out my post. I hope this gives you some cause to review the Clearance Rack for this stamp set. As always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.
When I was looking through my stamp sets for an idea, I happened upon the “This Little Piggy” set. I was so happy when this set carried over into the current annual catalog. But I have not used it very much lately. So I dusted it off and have a sweet little card for you.
This Little Piggy, 143922
I used one pig with his sentiment masked off, and then stamped the sentiment from a different pig. The sitting up piggy is what fit the layout I had in mind. My photography has not been great of late. For some reason the colors are not looking true. The rust color is actually Calypso Coral with Lemon Lime Twist. I will have to correct that.
In case you are not familiar with the stamp set, the little image on the cross piece is little kisses 🙂 It is part of the stamp set and oh so appropriate for the sentiment. This card could be a sweet note for someone special or a Valentine’s Day Card as well. The bonus is that it is super quick and simple to make.
Thank you so much for visiting today. I hope you have an awesome weekend. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Here is another of my cards that are inspired by my cleaning out my craft room. I have a Love/Hate relationship going on with it right now!! I am enjoying looking through the old cards. Today’s idea came from a gift tag and I scaled it down to fit the Everyday Label Punch.
A Good Day, 145873
And here is the little insert :
A Good Day, 145873
When I was trying to resize the little envelope to fit the Everyday Label Punch, I realized I need to challenge myself in math more often. Oh My!!! It took quite a bit longer than was necessary. In the long run, I believe the time was well spent. I am happy with how this card came out.
The color inspiration was the Tutti-Fruitti 6 X 6 DSP. Although I used Pacific Point instead of Night of Navy, the strawberry DSP was my inspiration. The little ice cream cone on the note is (at least in my mind) strawberry ice cream. HaHa!
MEASUREMENTS:
Base card is 11 X 4 1/4 scored and folded in half
The strips of Pacific Point are 1/4 X 5 1/2 each
The DSP is 3 X 5 1/2
The envelope is 5 X 2 3/4, score at 1/2″ down each long side, and at 2 3/8 across the center.
Fold and burnish all the lines.
When folded in half, one side is longer than the other. Cut each 1/2 side scores off of the longer end.
Miter the corners on the 1/2 sides that are left
Use the 1/2″ circle punch to make the little half notch for easier tag removal
Add Fast Fuze on the sides. Place the punched piece inside as you close so that you have easy sliding room.
Use the hand held 1/8″ punch to punch a hole in the end of the tag and add the desired ribbon.
Thank you very much for visiting today! I hope you enjoyed this little card. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
