Detailed With Love

The card I have made for today is a little bit different.  I have mostly focused on the punch instead of the stamp set or paper.  It is the Detailed Trio Punch.  I really like it.  As described, there are three punches in one.  A Corner Rounder, YAY!!, a Flower, and a Ribbon Slot.  It is a great tool to have in your tool bag.

Detailed With Love, 146606

I wanted to focus on the punch, so I kept the rest of the card pretty simple.  The ribbon is the gorgeous Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.  It comes in Whisper White or Very Vanilla.  Other than the ribbon the layers are the focal point.

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you will come back tomorrow for another new card.  And please check out the Specials Deals going on.  The Join and get a SET of Ink Pads is an all time greatest offer!! I would love to talk with you about joining my team of stampers.

I Am Back!!

I am back from my awesome sightseeing tour down the west coast.  We went from Seattle to San Francisco. I must say the Oregon Coast is simply breathtaking!  All of the scenery and sights were wonderful.

Today I have a pretty quick card for you.  I am trying to get back in the groove and have a lot of cards to make.  So we will get right to it this morning.

Dandelion Wishes, 146747

COLOR COMBINATION:

I used the beautiful Tropical Escape 6X6 Designer Series Paper Stack as the main color scheme for this card.  I am really in love with this paper.  The colors are so bright and are some surprising combinations.  The colors I have used today are not something I would normally have put together.  So keep this combination to try yourself.

The three triangles, or squares if turned another way, are a great way to have a different look with stamp sets.  I chose the Dandelion Wishes set and stamped them very subtly with the Gray Granite. I used the Layering Squares to cut them and the Blushing Bride scalloped background.

Thank you for coming back to see me today!  I really appreciate it.

There are two fabulous promotions going on right now.

By joining as a demonstrator in July, you will receive as a FREE bonus to your Starter Kit (The Best Shopping Deal!!) a complete set of a color family of Ink Pads.  Yes, that is 10 ink pads at no charge!!  WOW!  And I would love to have you join my team.  So please contact me and let’s discuss it.  Ot simply click on the Join My Team button at the top of the page!

Granny Apple Coffee for GDP 144

I am submitting today’s card for the Global Design Project #144 Challenge.  It is a CASE the designer.  I used her layout for my design .  To CASE can mean using a little, a lot, or just the layout.  I was a little in the middle of that on my card.

Stampin' Up!, stampinup, Jackie Beers, jackiebeers, coffee Cafe, Coffee Cups framelits

Coffee Cafe, 143677

And here is the challenge card I cased.

I was so thrilled when the Coffee Cafe set and matching framelits carried over to the new catalog.  Then I realized I had not used them in quite some time.  So here they are paired with the gorgeous Tropical Escape 6X6 Designer Series Paper.

All of the supplies I used are listed the bottom of the page.  Thank you so much for visiting today!  I very much appreciate it and love to hear from you.

COLOR COMBINATION:  Of course these are in the Gorgeous DSP.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • The wide strip of DSP is 5 1/2 X 2 1/2
  • The banner strip of DSP is 5 X 2

It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I would love to have you join my team.  A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first.  Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early.  For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator.  Of course, the discount helps!  If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.

Pearl Flowers

The Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love Designer Series Paper is by far my favorite of all time!!  I have used it several times since I received my Pre-Order for the new catalog.  And I cannot stop using it.  I may need intervention!  But in addition to the AWESOME paper, I am showcasing a new fold.  Or it could be a new cut, or both!  Here it is and then I will explain what I mean.

Stampin' Up!, stampinup, Abstract Impressions, Share What You Love DSP, jackiebeers, Jackie Beers

Abstract Impressions, 147513

That DSP just shines!   Actually it really does shine.  This is one of the sheets that has a pearlized look to some of the flowers.  The little pearls in the flower centers are the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls.  They are just too cute!

The Fold/Cut is a little different.  Since the DSP is card stock weight, it can serve as a card base without feeling flimsy.  To achieve this look, I cut the Smoky Slate card stock to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2.  I scored it at 4 1/4, the normal folding point for an A2 card.  But I did not stop there.  I went back to my cutter and with the score line at 3/4 on the trimmer ruler , I cut off the rest of the panel.  (And I was able to use that cut piece to make the top layer with a bit leftover.)

The DSP is cut to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  I burnished my fold on the Smoky Slate layer and placed adhesive on the inside of the 3/4 section.  Then all I had to do was line up the DSP with the rest of the base and fold the small section over on top of it.  Easy Peasy and perfect alignment.   An added bonus is that when you open the card, you get to see the other side of this beautiful DSP!!  WooHoo!!  That is always a problem for me when the DSP is gorgeous on both sides.  I hate to hide one of them.  With this Cut/Fold, I do not have to hide either side.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog today!  I greatly appreciate it and would be happy to answer any questions if I was not very clear on the instructions.  I have listed all of the products used at the bottom of the post.  I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Tilted Vases

Today’s card is a little Wacky as opposed to yesterday’s Bright card.  I will return to normal cards next week…maybe 🙂  I have used Mary Fish’s Million Dollar Stamp Set, Varied Vases and the matching punch for my card.  I am in Mary’s 3rd tier so I feel appreciative of this wonderful bundle.  It really matches Mary and has her signature tulip in the set.

Varied Vases Bundle, 148381

Remember that the title for today is TILTED Vases.  Actually the vases are the only things aligned straight on the card.  This card came about from items left on my stamping desk.  It is a bit different, but very bright and happy.

I stamped the vases with Gray Granite ink on the white layer as well as the outer two stamped onto scrap paper.  I colored all three with the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and then punched the two outer vases using the matching Vases punch.

Even though the red layers are Real Red cardstock, the red flowers are Lovely Lipstick marker on the left and Real Red marker on the right , with Pink Piroutte Stampin’ Blends in the center.  The Washi tape seemed to match the Tutti Frutti DSP so it serves as the table for the vases.

When I was deciding the final layout, I bumped my layers and they went a little askew.  That made me rethink the normal layout and this is what I ended up with.  Sometimes you just go with the flow….what’s laying on your desk and the result of moving your layers.  A happy ending as far as I am concerned!

Thank you so much for visiting today!  I hope to see you back on Monday morning.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.  I hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend with family and friends.  I will be remembering those who helped us to enjoy the freedoms we have.

Friend

I have another retiring products card.  I cannot seem to stop and it is usually because of the Designer Series Paper.  I hate to let some of this go.  I chose this stamp set specifically because of the DSP.  The background stamp mimics exactly the DSP I used from Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.  So here is one more play with the Hello Friend stamp set.

Hello Friend, 144059

Actually there is quite a bit of retiring product here.  The stamps, DSP, and the Enamel Shapes are all waving goodbye. The base of the card is Thick Very Vanilla card stock.  I used Tranquil Tide as the background layers and the Eastern Palace DSP for the focal point.  The sentiment is stamped in New Blueberry Bushel Ink.  It is a beauty!!

Here are the measurements I used for this card.  I actually got the idea from looking at sketches on Pinterest.  You never know where Ideas will come from!

Measurements:

  • Base is 4 1/4 X 11 scored at 5 1/2 folded, and burnished
  • Tranquil Tide is 4 X 5 1/4
  • DSP is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
  • Small Tranquil Tide is 2 3/4 X 4
  • Small DSP is 2 5/8 X 7/8
  • Small Very Vanilla is 2 5/8 X 3
  • NOTE:  or if you don’t mind using a little extra DSP…..Make the small DSP 2 5/8 X 3 7/8 and then simply lay the Very Vanilla directly on top of it at the top with the DSP only showing at the bottom.  It does make the alignment and size much easier to deal with.  This is what I actually did on my card since the DSP is retiring!!

Thank you for visiting today!  I very much appreciate your visits and comments.  The full supply list is at the bottom of the page.
