I have married new and old products for today’s card. The stamp set is Beautiful You and I am thrilled that it carried over to the new catalog. I have paired it with the returning favorite Mint Macaron and a new color Grapefruit Grove. They are great together I believe.
Beautiful You, 143637
The other new items you might notice are the gorgeous ribbon. The 1/8″ ribbon is my favorite for depth on cards. It is “Just Enough” without overpowering. I also stamped on the Natures Poem Designer Series Paper with the lady and fussy cut it out. The stripes for her dress and the added stripe on the card front are one side, and the leafy print umbrella is the other side of the same paper. I know I have said it often , but I LOVE Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful double sided DSP!!
The ink behind the lady is Soft Sea Foam, another new color. I used the Clear Block “H” as the stamp. And the texture on the background layer is the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.
Thank you very much for stopping by today. I greatly appreciate it, and love your comments. Please let me know if you have any questions. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
Don’t forget that the Share What You Love Suite of products is still available for pre-order through the end of the month.
Another Paper Pumpkin Special: The March PP was so popular due to the special gift that it sold out. So Stampin’ Up! has offered a great deal to replace that. New Subscribers who sign up before April 10, will receive April and May for half price. So 2 months for the price of 1. A great deal. Use my link HERE, and enter the code: SAVEFIFTY0418
It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team. A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first. Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early. For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator. Of course, the discount helps! If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.
I have spent the weekend rearranging my craft space and incorporating the NEW Stampin’ Up! products from my pre-order. Oh My!! I am in trouble because I want it all. I have added a new banner at the bottom of the narrative portion of this post. It is the NEW Share What You Love Suite of products. I may have said it, or thought it before, but this is my all time favorite suite that SU has ever created. By clicking on that picture you will go to my online store and can view all of the products. There are three different tiers of products you can order, as well as some Ala Carte items. You get to get a touch of the Demonstrator Perk of ordering before the catalog is live! But I hope you will check out my card first……..
Abstract Impressions, 147513
The stamp set I used is Abstract Impressions, and it is a beautiful Must Have stamp set. But the star of this card is the gorgeous Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. This flower pattern is probably my favorite of the pack. Then when I was looking for a color to back the sentiment layer with, I noticed the other side of this sheet and new it was perfect. I really like the double sided DSP SU always has!
The colors in the DSP are beautiful . If you are wondering about the base color of the card. It is the new Petal Pink. Another winner in the new Color Revamp. It is , at least to me, a more soft peachy pink look. I believe it pairs wonderfully with the returned Mint Macaron as well.
To further show that SU is really On Trend with the new colors, I was reading the latest HGTV Magazine Friday. It is all about painting and color. All of the SU colors, especially the newer ones, are front and center in the magazine! I was so impressed and pleased.
I hope you are as excited as I am about the new catalog and all of the new products and colors. Again, if you do not currently have a SU Demonstrator , I would love to work with you. And it is always a great time to become a demonstrator. You can even add a lot of the new products to your starter kit!!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today! I hope you will return tomorrow and Wednesday is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop.

SUPPLIES: **Not all of the new products were available with snapshots. I am missing the Mint Macaron cardstock and Petal Pink Classic Stampin’ Pad.
Sorry I am a little late this morning. I was out of town yesterday and forgot to do my post last night. But it is a cute 3 X 3 card that I think you will like. It would be perfect for a little hand out card or a pick me up for a friend.
Rooted In Nature, 146482
I just love tis sentiment. It is from the Rooted In Nature stamp set and I got it in my pre-order for the upcoming catalog. This is an awesome perk of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator!! Another of my new items is the Detailed Trio Punch. It is three cornered, and has a little flower, a tag hole punch, and a corner rounder. I am so happy to have a corner rounder again besides using my Envelope Punch Board. Best of all is that it punches very easily. Yay!!
The other new products are the Tranquil Textures DSP. I just love beautiful coordinating colors in small designs. It makes it so easy to do multiple cards using different colors as the focal point. Stampin’ Up!’s DSP is a definite weakness of mine! And the other “New” is actually a returning item….Yes Mint Macaron is back! Woohoo!!!
To give my little tag some definition with an added layer for this little card, I used my marker technique. I take the brush tip of the Stampin’ Write Marker and hold it with the side of the brush angled against the paper. I then just run it around the entire outside edge. You get just enough color to make it stand out front he background paper with no added thickness. I hope you will give this a try sometime.

I am once again focusing on some of the retiring products. Today’s feature is the Host Rewards Stamp Set, Background Bits, and the ever popular Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.
Background Bits, 144029
Because this is a Host Rewards stamp set, the only way you can get this gorgeous set is to either host a party, or have a qualifying order. But, since you are stocking up on your favorite retiring product, this is the perfect time to do either one.
I love the soft Spring colors of this DSP and I tried to coordinate the stamped flowers by using the Wisteria Wonder marker to tie it together. And of course the Petal Burst Embossing Folder always is a great pairing for flower stamps and/or DSP.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you are interested in earning this set before it is gone, please let me know. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Welcome to our Pals Blog Hop, May 2018. This month we’ll be “Stepping Up with Textures or Techniques.” What’s that? Projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. Who knows, maybe both! Join us in the fun while we inspire you to “step up” your creations.
You may be starting the hop here or you may be coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
For an old but goody technique, I have done a negative sponging technique. It is one of the simplest techniques to do and always gives surprising and beautiful results.
Leaflets Framelits, 138283
I have used the Leaflets Framelits (on the retiring list 🙁 ) to make a template. And it’s a 2 for 1, you get a leaf already cut out for a future project. I centered the negative of the leaf on my Whisper White card stock and secured it with some Washi Tape. You do not want the template to move while you are sponging. To begin, I colored the entire leaf with Calypso Coral, then went over all but the center with Cherry cobbler. I then went around the edges with Cajun Craze for a little more depth. Now just lift up the template and you have a beautiful stenciled Leaf.
The sentiment is from an old favorite the Work of Art stamp set. I next die cut another leaf from a layer cut for my card. There are two ways to attach the stenciled leaf. It can be adhered to the top layer from underneath. Or it can be adhered to the base card and then the top layer attached over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. That takes a bit of aligning, but I love the look.
To finish off my card I stamped the little corner decoration in Cherry Cobbler. I love the simple little addition. It is from the Not Retiring new set Hold On To Hope. Although, this is a bundle and the 10% discount for the bundle will end when the Occasions Catalog ends. So jump on it now!
Thank you so much for visiting today! I appreciate your stopping by my blog during the hop. I would love to read comments from you. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page. Remember the Retiring List and Clearance Rack are “While Supplies Last”. The leaf framelits and Work of Art set are both on that list.
Now it’s time to see how the rest of the Pals are Stepping up with Textures or Techniques. Please use the Blog Hop Line-Up below to move from blog to blog. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.
Mark your calendars for June 13, 2018 where we feature projects for Babies, Birthdays and Brides. You’ll probably even see products from Stampin’ Up!s new 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. Don’t miss it!

I have been focusing on stamp sets that are retiring. For a bit of a change of pace, I am using one that is not retiring. It is the Hold On To Hope Bundle from the Occasions Catalog. However……the bundle price is going away. Both the stamp set and dies are carrying over, they just will not have a bundled together price of 10% off. Any bundles you are still considering should be snatched up now and save. Every little bit saved helps!
Hold On To Hope Bundle, 145969
I kept this card pretty clean and simple. Don’t you just love the details on the Cross? I stamped the cross in Soft Suede and then the detailed one in Crumb Cake, and cut it out with the matching die.
Note: A must have for detailed dies is the Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheet. I always make a mess of glue on intricately cut items and there is no mess with the adhesive sheets. Yay!!
For the flower swatch I colored the stamp with Old Olive and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write Markers. To add some equal alignment, I added the little corner stamp in Old Olive as well. I love the little guy!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today. I very much appreciate your support and I love to hear from you. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
