I have a fun card for you today. I started with a fold from a card I had received in a swap. It had several layers that opened like pages in a book. I started with that, but took a wrong turn somewhere in my scoring, LOL!!! But I am happy with the Tri-Fold Card I designed from the error. I hope you will enjoy it as well.
I LOVE Cats and Dogs, and most other animals. And my husband does as well. Maybe even more than I do. So this became the Valentine card I will give to him. Here is a view of the open card.
The cat is smiling up at the frowny face little dog and I thought that was too cute. When in actuality, it would be just the opposite probably. Since cats are usually the stand offish ones.
Here is a close up of the cat.
I used the Playful Pets Designer Series Paper for the stand out part of the card. I chose three different papers that worked together. The ribbon is from the Playful Pets Trim Combo. I tried to line them up along the bottom.
The hearts are from the Heart Punch Pack. I kept that simple to show off the dog and cat. They are fussy cut from the Playful Pets DSP also.
The sentiment is from Hot Dog Stamp Set in the Mini Catalog. I used a small sticky note to block the rest of the sentiment. All I wanted was the I Love You. I have a small pad of those on my desk for a variety of uses. I just have to remember to remove it before I stamp!!
I will add a small piece of White cardstock on the center panel for what I write for hubby. But for the picture I left that off.
Thank you for stopping in today. I do have all of the measurements for you. All of the supplies are at the bottom of the post. I hope this gives you a Smile in your day!!
Measurements:
card base is 5 1/2 X 11, scored at 4 1/4, and 8. (or 3 and 6 3/4, depending on your preference)
DPS is 2 3/4 X 5 1/8 , 3 3/8 X 5 1/8 (X2) , 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
The second of the middle DSP goes on the backside of middle panel as you can see that panel when the card is closed.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature hearts, so prepare yourself for lots and lots of love. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
There are so many “heart” stamps to choose from! I had narrowed it down to about three, when I ran across a set still on my desk. I knew this was the perfect one, even though a tad out of the norm when you think about hearts. Or at least the way I was originally thinking.
The center heart is the one that caught my eye and made me decide on this direction! It is from the new to the Mini Catalog Treasures of Life stamp set. Oh My! I am not a parent or grandparent, (except for 4 legged varieties) but I still fell in love with this set. And luckily I have friends who have recently become first time grandparents.
The DSP is the unexpected Artistry Blooms Designer Series Paper. I pulled the other colors from that paper. To cut the hearts I used the Be Mine Stitched Dies. The main hearts as well as the ones on the bottom are from the die set.
Here is a view of the inside. I cut around the negative to give a frame to the sentiment. I decided one more heart was needed. This also shows another view of the Fun Fold.
I cased this Fun Fold from fellow demonstrator Susie Wood. If you follow me at all, you know I love fun folds. This one is a keeper.
Measurements:
Base of Coastal Cabana is 4 1/4 X 9 scored at 5 1/2
Base layers are Highland Heather cut 4 X 4, and 1 5/8 X 4
DSP is cut 3 7/8 X 3 7/8 and 1 1/2 X 3 7/8
White inside layer is 3 1/2 X 4

I want to share some sunshine here and make you all relax and hopefully Smile! So the next couple of posts are going to be along those lines. Today I have a daisy, which is simple flower that always makes me smile.
I have a mix of bundles for this card. The Daisy Lane stamp set debuted in a previous catalog as a bundle with the Medium Daisy Punch. Although they are no longer a bundle, they are both in the current catalog. The other is the Many Mates Bundle. It is the sentiment and the background for the daisies. The sentiments for this set are varied and a mix of fonts. The mixed fonts are always a favorite of mine.
I also used the Lovely Label Punch for the sentiment. I adore the two different shapes for the ends of the punch. In case you missed it. I did a tip in one of last weeks posts that shares how to get the equal distance on each end of your sentiment. Click HERE to go to that post. The tip is in the middle of the post.
For the daisies, I punched four daisies to make the two flowers. I fussy cut the small daisy and the fern. The fern was an experiment. I stamped it on Whisper White card stock, and to say it didn’t look good was mild. The white actually shined, in a bad way!! So I used my Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend and went over the entire leaf. I was happy with that. I was trying not to use another set of dies to get some greenery.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another Smile project.

I have commented a few times regarding the Peony stamp set and that it is my favorite flower. Today’s card is a bit of an elegant version using that stamp set. I rarely do cards on the elegant side. I hope you like this one.
The only item from the Peony Garden Suite that I did not use is the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon. And it would have worked with this card. I just didn’t think of it.
I really adore this Dainty Diamond 3D Embossing Folder. It is pretty regardless of which side of the embossed paper you use. It is another folder that is a bit on the more subtle side. I like that very much.
The small peony flower is just so pretty. I stamped it with Gray Granite Ink and colored just the highlights of the blossom with Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blend. The leaves were colored using the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. It is die cut and then raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment is from the stamp set and it stamped in Gray Granite as well. I stamped it towards the bottom of the card stock and then punched using the Label Me Lovely punch. The added touch is the Elegant Faceted Gem.
I wanted a bit more for grounding the sentiment and flower. So I used a 3 X 3 piece of the Peony Garden DSP. I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round the corners and then layered the Square Vellum Doily on top. This could be placed square or diamond angle. I liked the diamond better.
Thank you so much for stopping in today. I hope you like this card and will leave some comments. Please return tomorrow for another new project.

I am a little sad regarding today’s card. I love these adorable little guys in the This Little Piggy stamp set and am sad that this will be my last card with them. I made a quick 4 X 4 card to share the love.
I used shades of blue for the piggy card. That is an appropriate color for my friendly pigs! The base card is Blueberry Bushel, followed by Pacific Point, and then Balmy Blue. I inserted some Whisper White to even out the white of the piggy layer.
The piggy is stamped in Calypso Coral Ink and colored using both of the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I used the Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Write Marker to color just the sentiment of the pig. I then stamped the Love in Blueberry Bushel Ink. The heart is cut using the Stitched Be Mine Hearts. It is the smallest of the stitched / scalloped hearts. I added the ribbon and bow to hold the heart.
These are really quick and simple cards to make. I love the 4 X 4 and 3 X 3 versions. They are great for gift inserts, and as a Thinking of You little card.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please join me tomorrow on the Monthly Pals Blog Hop. There are quite a few participants with some great projects for you to see.

Today I am sharing one of the New Release Sale-A-Bration Items. It is subtle on the card, and that is a great definition of the item. Have you guessed what it is? Yes, It is the So Very Vellum. And it is more beautiful in person. I love the soft colors.
The vellum comes with this embossing already done for you. All of the sheets have the same embossing. The vellum I chose for the background is the Soft Sea Foam one. I used the Highland Heather Vellum for the flowers. They are die cut using the Dies from Forever Blossoms Bundle. The embossed vellum gives an added definition to the petals.
The stamp is from the Forever Blossoms stamp set. It also is die cut using the bundled dies. That is such a great focal point for any design you could come up with.
I stamped in Smoky Slate Ink and then colored with Soft Sea Foam and Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends. For the bow, I used the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. It is simply wonderful to work with. I don’t usually do multiple loops with ribbon, but this is so silky and thin I went for it.
Thank you for stopping in today. I have new projects each day to share with you. And this coming Wednesday is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop, you will not want to miss that.
