I am back from my awesome sightseeing tour down the west coast. We went from Seattle to San Francisco. I must say the Oregon Coast is simply breathtaking! All of the scenery and sights were wonderful.
Today I have a pretty quick card for you. I am trying to get back in the groove and have a lot of cards to make. So we will get right to it this morning.
I used the beautiful Tropical Escape 6X6 Designer Series Paper Stack as the main color scheme for this card. I am really in love with this paper. The colors are so bright and are some surprising combinations. The colors I have used today are not something I would normally have put together. So keep this combination to try yourself.
The three triangles, or squares if turned another way, are a great way to have a different look with stamp sets. I chose the Dandelion Wishes set and stamped them very subtly with the Gray Granite. I used the Layering Squares to cut them and the Blushing Bride scalloped background.
Thank you for coming back to see me today! I really appreciate it.
There are two fabulous promotions going on right now.
By joining as a demonstrator in July, you will receive as a FREE bonus to your Starter Kit (The Best Shopping Deal!!) a complete set of a color family of Ink Pads. Yes, that is 10 ink pads at no charge!! WOW! And I would love to have you join my team. So please contact me and let’s discuss it. Ot simply click on the Join My Team button at the top of the page!
The second promotion is the Buy 3, Get 1 Free DSP Sale. Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper is the best DSP around, and the prettiest. So how could you go wrong when you get 1 free??? You could keep them all to yourself or share with a friend.
The Stampin’ Up! Share What You Love Designer Series Paper is by far my favorite of all time!! I have used it several times since I received my Pre-Order for the new catalog. And I cannot stop using it. I may need intervention! But in addition to the AWESOME paper, I am showcasing a new fold. Or it could be a new cut, or both! Here it is and then I will explain what I mean.
Abstract Impressions, 147513
That DSP just shines! Actually it really does shine. This is one of the sheets that has a pearlized look to some of the flowers. The little pearls in the flower centers are the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls. They are just too cute!
The Fold/Cut is a little different. Since the DSP is card stock weight, it can serve as a card base without feeling flimsy. To achieve this look, I cut the Smoky Slate card stock to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2. I scored it at 4 1/4, the normal folding point for an A2 card. But I did not stop there. I went back to my cutter and with the score line at 3/4 on the trimmer ruler , I cut off the rest of the panel. (And I was able to use that cut piece to make the top layer with a bit leftover.)
The DSP is cut to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2. I burnished my fold on the Smoky Slate layer and placed adhesive on the inside of the 3/4 section. Then all I had to do was line up the DSP with the rest of the base and fold the small section over on top of it. Easy Peasy and perfect alignment. An added bonus is that when you open the card, you get to see the other side of this beautiful DSP!! WooHoo!! That is always a problem for me when the DSP is gorgeous on both sides. I hate to hide one of them. With this Cut/Fold, I do not have to hide either side.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today! I greatly appreciate it and would be happy to answer any questions if I was not very clear on the instructions. I have listed all of the products used at the bottom of the post. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team. A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first. Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early. For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator. Of course, the discount helps! If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.
Happy Monday to you! It appears the the storms are finally leaving us here in the south. That is reason enough to celebrate. My thoughts are with other parts of the country that had flooding and other serious events happen. Hopefully my card today will give you a SMILE for a few minutes.
Waterfront, 146386
When I think of Good Times, I think of either the mountains, or the beach. Today I have focused on the mountains. The stamp set Waterfront is the perfect stamp set for those like me who like these two vacation spots. It is a piece of cake to depict either location just by using different colors.
Today’s colors are so rich and beautiful together. I do not believe the photograph really does them justice. The returning Blackberry Bliss is a real jewel! I used the Seaside Embossing Folder for the background layer and it really shows off well in the Blackberry.
Thank you for visiting today. I have used quite a few colors on my card and they are on the supply list at the bottom of the post. Do not forget about the Clearance Rack. Even though technically the Retired List is gone, leftover items will begin showing up on the Clearance Rack pretty soon.
Stay tuned tomorrow and I will try to get a few of the Stampin’ Up! new product videos to link. In the meantime, you can always go to the Stampin’ Up! YouTube site and begin watching. Enjoy!!

I have married new and old products for today’s card. The stamp set is Beautiful You and I am thrilled that it carried over to the new catalog. I have paired it with the returning favorite Mint Macaron and a new color Grapefruit Grove. They are great together I believe.
Beautiful You, 143637
The other new items you might notice are the gorgeous ribbon. The 1/8″ ribbon is my favorite for depth on cards. It is “Just Enough” without overpowering. I also stamped on the Natures Poem Designer Series Paper with the lady and fussy cut it out. The stripes for her dress and the added stripe on the card front are one side, and the leafy print umbrella is the other side of the same paper. I know I have said it often , but I LOVE Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful double sided DSP!!
The ink behind the lady is Soft Sea Foam, another new color. I used the Clear Block “H” as the stamp. And the texture on the background layer is the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.
Thank you very much for stopping by today. I greatly appreciate it, and love your comments. Please let me know if you have any questions. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
Don’t forget that the Share What You Love Suite of products is still available for pre-order through the end of the month.
Another Paper Pumpkin Special: The March PP was so popular due to the special gift that it sold out. So Stampin’ Up! has offered a great deal to replace that. New Subscribers who sign up before April 10, will receive April and May for half price. So 2 months for the price of 1. A great deal. Use my link HERE, and enter the code: SAVEFIFTY0418

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! We are grinning from ear-to-ear with excitement over all the amazing, new products from Stampin’ Up!’s 2018 Annual Catalog – and you’re going to love what we are sharing today. Today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects that offer sneak peeks at new products from the upcoming catalog. What fun! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My Top of the List Favorite from the new Catalog is the Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. Actually, it and all that is in that Suite of products! From the banner above, it would appear that Brian King loves this paper as well!! My card for today focuses on quite a few of the products, but especially the DSP.
Love What You Do, 148042
As I said above, I have used quite a few products from this AWESOME Suite. In doing so, I have a lot more texture than I normally do. Of course the star is the Designer Series Paper. As an unexpected touch, I let it be the main focal point and added a little extra with different ribbons. (All of the supplies are listed at the very bottom of the post.)
The sentiment is part of a “Must Have” stamp set as well. It is Love What You Do and has beautiful flowers, backgrounds, and sentiments. I know I say it is all a Must Have, but this catalog is really over the top as far as I am concerned and I do want it all!
One other unexpected item on my card is the lighter base color, which is Petal Pink. It is an Oh My! color. I think it has a touch of light peach to the pink. Whatever it may have, it is gorgeous. And it pairs well with other colors both bold and bright.
Thank you for stopping by my page on the Blog Hop. I very much appreciate it and love to read your comments.
I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the bloghop, Deb Cozzone . There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:

I have spent the weekend rearranging my craft space and incorporating the NEW Stampin’ Up! products from my pre-order. Oh My!! I am in trouble because I want it all. I have added a new banner at the bottom of the narrative portion of this post. It is the NEW Share What You Love Suite of products. I may have said it, or thought it before, but this is my all time favorite suite that SU has ever created. By clicking on that picture you will go to my online store and can view all of the products. There are three different tiers of products you can order, as well as some Ala Carte items. You get to get a touch of the Demonstrator Perk of ordering before the catalog is live! But I hope you will check out my card first……..
Abstract Impressions, 147513
The stamp set I used is Abstract Impressions, and it is a beautiful Must Have stamp set. But the star of this card is the gorgeous Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. This flower pattern is probably my favorite of the pack. Then when I was looking for a color to back the sentiment layer with, I noticed the other side of this sheet and new it was perfect. I really like the double sided DSP SU always has!
The colors in the DSP are beautiful . If you are wondering about the base color of the card. It is the new Petal Pink. Another winner in the new Color Revamp. It is , at least to me, a more soft peachy pink look. I believe it pairs wonderfully with the returned Mint Macaron as well.
To further show that SU is really On Trend with the new colors, I was reading the latest HGTV Magazine Friday. It is all about painting and color. All of the SU colors, especially the newer ones, are front and center in the magazine! I was so impressed and pleased.
I hope you are as excited as I am about the new catalog and all of the new products and colors. Again, if you do not currently have a SU Demonstrator , I would love to work with you. And it is always a great time to become a demonstrator. You can even add a lot of the new products to your starter kit!!
Thank you so much for visiting with me today! I hope you will return tomorrow and Wednesday is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop.
