I made this card with the stamp set Varied Vases, which commemorates Mary Fish’s Million Dollars sales! And I have to say that it is the best ever two step stamp set. The pieces line up perfectly! I am in love. As if that isn’t enough….there is a matching punch. Woohoo!! I love punches. The card is a asymmetrical in its layout, but I think it works.
Varied Vases Bundle, 148381
The background DSP is a super new one for the New Annual Catalog. As is the stamp set and punch for that matter. This is definitely a perk of being a demonstrator. We get to order and play with new catalog products ahead of everyone else. Anyway, back to the DSP. It is Tranquil Textures DSP and is part of a Suite. (Note: It is not listed in the supply list. Apparently it has not been added to the resource I use for my links. ) All I ordered to start with was the paper because I thought it was beautiful. And trust me…..it is beautiful.
I know the Powder Pink layers are unexpected but I was looking for something to tie in with the flowers and vase choices I chose. I am thrilled with how well it pairs together. I love the unexpected fit. I used a variety of colors and instead of listing them a couple of times, you can see it all in the supply list at the bottom of the page.
Other than deciding on the multiple colors, this was an easy card to put together. Now I want to do another with more of a monochromatic look.
Thank you for checking in today. I hope you liked this card and will return on Monday to see what I have for you. Please remember that the Retiring Items are While Supplies Last on the ink, paper, DSP, etc. So don’t wait if you have a color that you simply love.
Another Paper Pumpkin Special: The March PP was so popular due to the special gift that it sold out. So Stampin’ Up! has offered a great deal to replace that. New Subscribers who sign up before April 10, will receive April and May for half price. So 2 months for the price of 1. A great deal. Use my link HERE, and enter the code: SAVEFIFTY0418
It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team. A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first. Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early. For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator. Of course, the discount helps! If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.
I have somewhat of a Funky Fold in my card today. I received a similar card at the swap a couple of weeks ago and loved that it was different. I recreated it, but instead of folding, I cut away to make the same front result. And I changed the front decorations as well. I had in my mind a gentleman card with a tie. However, it ended up more like a female card with a scarf! I just never know what my end result will be! 🙂
Lovely Wishes, 145924
I will begin with the “V”. The card I received was 4 1/4 X 11, scored equally and then each end was cut so that when they overlapped the front it formed this V. I decided it would be easier to do a regular fold from that beginning cut, but cut out the V section. My method saves some cutaway card stock but requires a little measuring. So the other may be simpler???
I used the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot once in each direction to make the plaid design on the front section. I then used Tear & Tape to secure the bottom and the side. I also used the Tear & Tape to adhere the ribbon around the neck of my “sweater”.
I hope you like my funky fold card. It is a good design for pull out invitations or even adding a gift card on the bottom portion of the pull out card.
Thank you for visiting today. The supplies I used are all listed at the bottom of the page. Please don’t forget about the Retiring Items and the Clearance Rack was updated on Tuesday. My much loved Island Indigo is on the Retiring List as well. So if it a favorite of yours you should grab some now!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! This year’s hops are themed around some of our favorite songs. Today’s hop pulls inspiration from B.B. King’s song “Let the Good Times Roll.” How fun is that?! We’ve created projects that either feature images with wheels (cards, wagons, bikes) or celebrate good times. We are excited to share our projects with you. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I debated on a Rockin’ Party or Nostalgia. And I ended with Nostalgia for my card. In the Spring I always think of where I grew up close to the country and mountains. This brings me to pick -up trucks and fields. So my choice was from the Country Living’ Stamp set. I know I am dating myself in this choice of an old pick-up truck !!
Country Living’ 141925
I stamped the truck with Early Espresso and colored it with the Stampin’ Blends. My sentiment is from Beautiful Day and I chose to give it an unexpected direction. I layered it on Pear Pizzaz and adhered it to the Calypso Coral layer. Using my paper snips, I trimmed the ends so it is flush with the layers. I like the different type of banner.
I appreciate you visiting and would love to see your thoughts. Is this a memory from your early years as well? As always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the bloghop, Julie DiMatteo at https://thepaperpixie.com
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:

Today’s card had a super neat product that will appear in the new Annual Catalog. It is a pack of 6 X 6 paper that looks like stained glass, minus the color. It has raised black lines and all you have to do is color it. I have used Stampin’ Write Markers and Stampin’ Blends. I like Blends the best of the two. This one is done with the Stampin’ Blends. I have not tried watercoloring them yet. Stay tuned for that one. This is just a quick one I made to see how it looked with other colors around it.
Graceful Glass, 146344
All I had to do for this crd was cut, color, and stamp the sentiment. The “stained glass” piece I used here is on a sheet of four exactly alike. So I just cut one out and layered it on Whisper White. It does need a light background to show the colors. Otherwise, It would have faded into the berry color of the DSP I believe.
As I said, this is a great way to quickly color a lot of focal points for cards. The raised black line helps keep you from overlapping the colors and gives it the old world look of stained glass. I cannot wait to color some more of this. There are quite a few different patterns in the package. So stay tuned!
Thanks again for stopping by. Be sure and come back tomorrow as I will be participating in an InKing Royalty Blog Hop. Woohoo!! There are always such great ideas from very talented stampers for you to check out.

You should have seen today’s card on Friday. I had some technical difficulties…….called “scheduling for the wrong day”! Duh. By the time I realized it had not posted, it was Friday afternoon. When I discovered it was set for Saturday instead of Friday, I just changed it to Monday. Sorry about that. I’ll blame it on being retired and not knowing what the actual date is!! So here is the delayed card. A quick and easy one that is great for leftover DSP.
Petal Palette Bundle, 145974
I love simple and this is definitely a simple card. Although you could step it up with some texture on the heart or the white background. Probably my favorite part of the card is the banner from the DSP. It is from the Bubbles and Fizz DSP from Sale-A-Bration. I hate that I did not notice it before SAB was over. But I found a strip laying on my cutting table and decided it was perfect for the card.
A simple background color change to anything with matching DSP and you have an entirely new card. That is why I love posting here for you to check out my ideas. Just use what you have laying around and it will be wonderful!
Thank you for visiting today! I very much appreciate you checking my posts and your sweet comments. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Sometimes it is hard to find just the right feel for a more masculine card of any kind. The True Gentleman Suite in the Occasions Catalog is just perfect. It is great colors, some fun, and some classic DSP, and great sentiments. It is a winner all around. So here is my card.
Truly Tailored Bundle, 147752
I love the fun designs of the DSP in this suite of products. I am not usually into buttons, but for this I believe it really works. And that corduroy ribbon is awesome! It is soft and easy to work with. Plus it adds great texture to the card.
The DSP is where my color choices came from. The base of the card is Tranquil Tide with a narrow border of Chocolate Chip ( which is retiring). The cute sentiment is stamped on Very Vanilla in Dapper Denim ink. I used the Tailored Tag Punch for the sentiment. To get the background for the tag, I adhered the punch layer to the Tranquil Tide and just paper snipped the straight edges. It was very simple and easy to do.
Thank you for stopping by today. Do not forget to go over the retiring lists I have added below. And if you do not have a demonstrator , I would love to send you the new catalog when it is available and help you to make your wish list. Also, demonstrators get to purchase ahead of everyone else!! So if you have ever considered joining, this would be a great time. And I would love to have you on my team. Contact me and let’s talk about it !!

I have another two post day for you. I wanted to show you the wonderful Color Revamp that Stampin’ Up! has for us all. It is awesome! Yes, there are a couple of retiring colors that I will miss. But the new and returning colors are amazing.
As I mentioned yesterday, the ink pads are being revamped as well. The shape is made to stack and are easier to open. Also, the ink formula has been updated. The “bubbly” nature of the last batch is now gone. The ink stamps cleaner I believe. Additionally, the Archival inks have retired. The Memento Black and Staz-On Black are in the catalog and Basic Gray has returned as a regular ink color in the neutrals. So all are great changes.
Here are the color palettes:
In case you are wondering what happened to Whisper White, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black….They have been moved to their own little Base Group. Personally, I love the addition of Night of Navy, Mossy Meadow and Merry Merlot to the Neutrals Family. These are great colors that can be the Base of a card. And the Gray Granite is one of my new favorites. It is a little bit of a taupe gray.
Listed below are the Retiring Lists. Do not panic when you see the ink pads on there. Remember, there is a new case design so that is why they are listed.

A card for Spring is what I have today. Flowers, birds and a sweet sentiment. I am trying to use my designer series paper that will be retiring. Plus, I love the springtime feel of this Daisy Delight DSP.
Flying Home, 145929
I adore this stamp set, Flying Home, and am sad to see it retiring. I have used it several times, but this is the first time I have focused on the birds and nest. The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage stamp set. I thought it went well with the Mama Bird and her babies.
As I mentioned in the beginning, I love this DSP but I also wanted to give the card some more texture. I looped Linen Thread under the bird’s nest and then a loop of Burlap Ribbon comes from beneath the sentiment. It gives some depth and texture and plays off of the nest. I am trying to expand on my normal cards a bit.
Thank you so much for visiting today! I greatly appreciate your visits and comments. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
The retired lists are in the two links below. Remember that quite often the retiring colors sell out before the end of the catalog. Especially now that there is a Color Revamp there are more colors retiring. And please let me know if you need the upcoming catalog. I will be happy to send you one once they are available.
Clicking on the icon below will take you directly to my online store to shop for the retiring products.

This is my second post of the day to give a little more information regarding the retiring list and colors.
Remember: Retiring colors sell out quickly!! If you have a favorite paper, ink pad, ink refill, and coordinating products grab them now.
There are 13 Core Stampin’ Up! colors retiring in the Revamp. They are:
Always Artichoke
Chocolate Chip
Elegant Eggplant
Island Indigo
Marina Mist
Perfect Plum
Pink Piroutte
Rose Red
Soft Sky
Tangerine Tango
Tempting Turquoise
Wild Wasabi
Wisteria Wonder
Also the expected group of In Colors are retiring as well. They are:
Dapper Denim
Emerald Envy
Peekaboo Peach
Sweet Sugar Plum
Flirty Flamingo ** This is retiring as an In Color, but making an immediate come back as a Core Color.
Tools and Accessories that are retiring are only While Supplies Last. So they could be gone very quickly. And the retiring colors will be close behind. Everyone has a favorite they want to stock up on.
NOTE: The retiring list shows that all Ink Pads are retiring. This is only because there is a new pad design coming out. So please do not be confused by this. And you will love the new pad design!! They open easier and they stack on top of each other for much easier storage.
I have added the lists and you can click on the link to view and print each list. Also the “Last Chance” link will take you to my online store to go ahead and grab those items you do not want to miss out on.

The card I have for you today is quick and easy, but super cute and funny. I needed a quick card for my Stamp Club on Sunday since I was preparing for Brian King’s Spring Event and the Stampin’ Up! Onstage Event for the last week or two. Actually I needed to have all three cards ready to go so I could unload the car and go again on Sunday. But cute, quick , and easy are what I always try to do. So enough of the babble, here is one of the cards we made at Club.
Birthday Wit, 145753
I adore this sentiment, and the matching inside sentiment is just as good. Although I forgot to photograph that. It says “Nothing Says Happy Birthday Like A Piece of Paper Folded In Half”! I love that !
Do you remember when we were kids? Assuming you are anywhere close to my age……. And Blue and Green were never placed together on anything. Now I say that was so dumb! Because I love these colors together. They really pop! The best part of this DSP is that it is another unexpected find. It is the “back” of the Pick A Pattern DSP that has the animals and trees on it. I cannot believe I never noticed it before! I believe this package of DSP is one of the best ever.
Thank you for visiting today! I will be sharing the other two Club cards this week as well.
REMINDER: It is that time of year. The Retiring List is out. Click on the link below to shop before the ones you love are sold out.
