Stampin’ Up!s 2018-2019 Catalog launches today! WooHoo!! Ordering becomes available at Noon (MT). So you can begin ordering at 2:00PM if you are on Eastern Time.
To give you a little sneak peak, I have added 2 videos. One is for an AWESOME new bundle, Rooted In Nature. I love this one! It is great for any occasion, even masculine cards. And those are so hard sometimes. The second video is for the AMAZING Stamparatus. If you have not seen this new stamp positioning tool, please watch the video. It is very unique in the design and capabilities.
If you do not have a new catalog and would like one, please contact me and I will get one in the mail to you. I will be back on Monday with some great new product based cards. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team. A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first. Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early. For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator. Of course, the discount helps! If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.
I am playing along with the Global Design Project (GDP140) for today’s card. The challenge is to a CASE a card and this one is casing my Fearless Leader, Brian King. So I could not resist.
Playful Backgrounds, 141920
Even though I have not used the set very much, I was thrilled to see that Playful Backgrounds is carrying over to the New Catalog. It is a great set for fun and bold backgrounds. For this card I stamped the open circles in Mossy Meadow. I then randomly stamped the solid circles with Granny Apple Green, both full strength and stamped off once. For the top section I used the lacy background from Southern Serenade, another YAY! for it carrying over from the Occasions Catalog. I used Soft Sea Foam ink for this one and stamped off before each placement.
When I began this card I wasn’t sure what my focal point would be. After I decided on the sentiment, which is also from Southern Serenade, I knew immediately the cat punch was perfect. I added all the colors as layers and finished the card with a couple of the Metallic Shapes in silver.
Thank you for stopping by today. I very much appreciate it. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
LAST MINUTE REMINDER: Today is the last day of the current Stampin’ Up! Catalog. If there is a bundle you are interested in, please order today so you can still receive the 10% discount! Contact me if you have any questions. I hope you have a great rest of your day!

Yesterday’s Bike Ride card was a small centered focal point. Today is basically the same, without a sentient, and very unintentional. I have played with the Cake Soiree stamp set and from the large set I chose one little stamp. I suppose I am in “small” mode this week!
Cake Soiree, 145745
I believe that the Designer Series Paper, Tranquil Texture, is more prominent than the stamped gift. I really, really love this paper and combination of colors. I stamped the package onto the DSP and then colored the flowers using the Stampin’ Blends. (Which are back in supply! WooHoo!!) I used the colors from the DSP for my blending.
I wanted this to be just a cute card and decided not to add a sentiment. To help enhance the center, I added the Berry Burst Metallic Edge Ribbon for some shine and bold color. I also added the silver/white baker’s twine for the package bow. I know the colors seem a tad dark, but the dark layers of the card are the returning favorite Blackberry Bliss. The base of the card is one of the New colors, Balmy Blue. It is a really nice and soft blue.
Thank you for visiting with me again today. I very much appreciate it. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page. You can click on any item and be taken directly to my online store.
Reminder: The current catalog as well as the Occasions Catalog end on May 31st. That is only a couple of days away. If there are items that you are interested in grab them now, and they may already be sold out. ALSO….. if there are bundled products that you love, even if they are carrying over, they will not be bundled any longer. So get them now and save the 10% for another purchase!!

I have a cute little 4 X 4 card today. I love these for several reasons. They are easy to prepare for since everything is square cuts, they are smaller and great for DSP, and they still can be mailed in a regular A2 card envelope. Yay! But this one is just cute 🙂
Bike Ride, 143716
Yes, I know the title says Bike Ride and this is a basket of apples! But this basket of apples fits on the bike, I just omitted the bike. There are a variety of items that fit in the basket. And the sentiment, even though from a different stamp set, matched perfectly to the apples I believe. I love when the unexpected is perfect!!
For a mostly brown card this one is quite bright. The Designer Series Paper is the upcoming Nature’s Poem. I totally adore it. The colors are very rich and there are great alternate patterns to the leaves. But the leaves are so soft that they are like a painting.
Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will leave me a comment. Stay safe in this nasty weather and please stop back tomorrow. As always, the complete list of supplies is at the bottom of the post. If you click on any item it will take you directly to my online store.

The title should read Thank You For Your Service!! Although we are thanking the service men and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice . Remembering those who did not come home is the hardest I believe. I am very appreciative of all our Service Men and Women. So please remember them today as you are celebrating with family and friends.
To honor our fallen heroes, I could not find my military stamp set. So I created what I hope will be appreciated. I used the Ribbon Of Courage and my Stampin’ Write Markers.
Ribbon of Courage, 143855
Of course, my colors are Red , White, and Blue. I colored the stamp with the red, left the center uncolored, and the bottom in blue. I then went around the edges and inside lines with the Black Stampin’ Write Marker to define everything. It actually turned out like I envisioned it! that doesn’t happen very often.
Thank you for taking the time to check my card today. I very much appreciate it. I hope you can enjoy this day with family and friends. My thoughts are also with those having damage from the storm. The supplies I used are at the bottom of the page.

Today’s card is a little Wacky as opposed to yesterday’s Bright card. I will return to normal cards next week…maybe 🙂 I have used Mary Fish’s Million Dollar Stamp Set, Varied Vases and the matching punch for my card. I am in Mary’s 3rd tier so I feel appreciative of this wonderful bundle. It really matches Mary and has her signature tulip in the set.
Varied Vases Bundle, 148381
Remember that the title for today is TILTED Vases. Actually the vases are the only things aligned straight on the card. This card came about from items left on my stamping desk. It is a bit different, but very bright and happy.
I stamped the vases with Gray Granite ink on the white layer as well as the outer two stamped onto scrap paper. I colored all three with the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends and then punched the two outer vases using the matching Vases punch.
Even though the red layers are Real Red cardstock, the red flowers are Lovely Lipstick marker on the left and Real Red marker on the right , with Pink Piroutte Stampin’ Blends in the center. The Washi tape seemed to match the Tutti Frutti DSP so it serves as the table for the vases.
When I was deciding the final layout, I bumped my layers and they went a little askew. That made me rethink the normal layout and this is what I ended up with. Sometimes you just go with the flow….what’s laying on your desk and the result of moving your layers. A happy ending as far as I am concerned!
Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope to see you back on Monday morning. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page. I hope you have a great Memorial Day Weekend with family and friends. I will be remembering those who helped us to enjoy the freedoms we have.

I have a BRIGHT Happy Birthday card to share with you today. I have mixed New, Retiring, and Carrying Over products. I call that a super combination. And did I mention this card is BRIGHT ???
Around The Corner, 147464
This DSP is the Picture Perfect 6 X 6 DSP and it screams Party!! I paired it with the new Mango Melody Card Stock and Ink, as well as the always popular Lemon Lime Twist. Since there was a scrap of the DSP leftover, I used the Balloon Bouquet punch to make the balloons from the same DSP.
The best part of this card is the layering of the sentiment. I used the Stamparatus!!! It is so perfect for this stamp. I stamped both corners in Lemon Lime Twist and then layer the bolder “It’s Your Day” exactly where it was needed. I picked it up with the plate, inked it, and perfect layering. I Love, Love, Love that! Black might have shown through better, but I did not want black swirls on my bright card.
Thank you for visiting today! I really appreciate your checking my cards and I love to read your comments. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. And if you do not currently have a demonstrator I would love to help you with your stamping needs and send you one of the new catalogs!
All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page. However, there is not a photo of the Around The Corner stamp set. Sorry about that!

This NEW stamp set, yes I am using a New set today!, is one of my favorite. I received it in my bag at the Atlanta OnStage in April and immediately new it was going to be a favorite. And I have paired it with the best ever Designer Series Paper, Share What You Love.
Animal Outing, 146600
I am not really sure which is cuter, the animals or the bright colors of polka dots on the paper. To keep the animals and DSP as the focus, I paired this with softer colors of Crumb Cake and Mint Macaron. I think this would be a greatly appreciated Thank You card. It would definitely receive a smile.

SUPPLIES: Sorry….there was no picture available of the Animal Outing stamp set.
I have another retiring products card. I cannot seem to stop and it is usually because of the Designer Series Paper. I hate to let some of this go. I chose this stamp set specifically because of the DSP. The background stamp mimics exactly the DSP I used from Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper. So here is one more play with the Hello Friend stamp set.
Hello Friend, 144059
Actually there is quite a bit of retiring product here. The stamps, DSP, and the Enamel Shapes are all waving goodbye. The base of the card is Thick Very Vanilla card stock. I used Tranquil Tide as the background layers and the Eastern Palace DSP for the focal point. The sentiment is stamped in New Blueberry Bushel Ink. It is a beauty!!
Here are the measurements I used for this card. I actually got the idea from looking at sketches on Pinterest. You never know where Ideas will come from!
Measurements:
Base is 4 1/4 X 11 scored at 5 1/2 folded, and burnished
Tranquil Tide is 4 X 5 1/4
DSP is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
Small Tranquil Tide is 2 3/4 X 4
Small DSP is 2 5/8 X 7/8
Small Very Vanilla is 2 5/8 X 3
NOTE: or if you don’t mind using a little extra DSP…..Make the small DSP 2 5/8 X 3 7/8 and then simply lay the Very Vanilla directly on top of it at the top with the DSP only showing at the bottom. It does make the alignment and size much easier to deal with. This is what I actually did on my card since the DSP is retiring!!
Thank you for visiting today! I very much appreciate your visits and comments. The full supply list is at the bottom of the page.

I have married new and old products for today’s card. The stamp set is Beautiful You and I am thrilled that it carried over to the new catalog. I have paired it with the returning favorite Mint Macaron and a new color Grapefruit Grove. They are great together I believe.
Beautiful You, 143637
The other new items you might notice are the gorgeous ribbon. The 1/8″ ribbon is my favorite for depth on cards. It is “Just Enough” without overpowering. I also stamped on the Natures Poem Designer Series Paper with the lady and fussy cut it out. The stripes for her dress and the added stripe on the card front are one side, and the leafy print umbrella is the other side of the same paper. I know I have said it often , but I LOVE Stampin’ Up!’s beautiful double sided DSP!!
The ink behind the lady is Soft Sea Foam, another new color. I used the Clear Block “H” as the stamp. And the texture on the background layer is the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.
Thank you very much for stopping by today. I greatly appreciate it, and love your comments. Please let me know if you have any questions. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
Don’t forget that the Share What You Love Suite of products is still available for pre-order through the end of the month.
