Simple Get Well

I have a quick and simple  Get Well card or Thinking of You type card to share today.  Sometimes it seems we need these type cards on short notice.  I like to have some of these on hand so I can send them right away.  My memory isn’t what it used to be!! LOL!!

Stampin' Up!, Healing Hugs, Inspiring Iris, Jackie Beers

Fussy cutting may not be your idea of fun.  But this rose and leaves actually are easy to cut out.  I stamped them originally on a layer and just didn’t like the look, so out came the paper snips.

The sentiment is from one of my new favorite stamp sets, Inspiring Iris.  It is layered using the Story Label Punch and the Timeless Label punch.

The gorgeous background paper is from the Christmastime Is Here Designer Series Paper.  I have used it with the Christmas Rose set.  But isn’t it great to see that it works on a non Christmas card?  Another reason to purchase the bundle of products.

Thanks for visiting today.  Please return tomorrow.  I am participating tin the Pals Blog Hop by Mary Fish.

Knot Good

Sorry that I came back for a few days and then disappeared again.  We are getting new windows in our house.  Out with those wooden windows that are impossible to get open!!  New windows are awesome, and we are almost finished.  So now I can get back to stamping!

During my stamping absence, a friend hurt her back simply by bending over.  When I was preparing for my Stamp Club, which met yesterday, I came across the Back On Your Feet stamp set.  I knew I had to make a card that I could send to her.

I kept the card very clean and simple.  Other than the coloring, which does not take long at all, this is a super quick card to make.  My favorite kind of card!

The thought / word bubble was made using the Ballon Bouquet Punch.  I simply cut off the little “knot” area at the bottom of the balloon.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will return the rest of the week.  Also I will be participating in the InKing Royalty Blog Hop on Wednesday.  You would not want to miss all of the great ideas you will see on the hop.

Well Wishes

I have shifted to the Subtle Family for today’s card.  I love the look of the subtle colors, I just tend to pair them with brighter colors.  Today though is all Subtle.

I am showcasing the Floral Essence Bundle.  I love punches and am so thrilled that a couple of the new bundles include punches in our new catalog.  This one is a flower builder punch.  It is just a single punch, so you don’t feel like you are wasting paper with the little pieces.  Although there are some great extras in those multi punches!

I stamped three of the tri-petal stamp in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I colored them with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends combo, and punched them out.  You can easily do just two , but I wanted a bit fuller flower.  I added the new Perennial Essence Floral Centers instead of trying to stamp a center.  These fuzzy little guys are just so cute!!

The background is a leaf from the Floral Essence set as well.  It matches the Leaf Punch too, great deal! The Stitched Nested Labels are the focal point of this card almost.  I used the Subtle Emossing Folder before cutting out with the die.  I love all the stitching!  And it leaves the stitching on the negative also.  So you will be seeing a card with that negative soon as well.

The sentiment is from Dandelion Wishes and one of my favorites.  I am also thrilled that the White Flax Ribbon carried over.  It is “just enough” to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping in today.  Sorry for the later post.

COLOR COMBINATION:

Waterfront Wishing You Well

Today’s card is one I made for a very special person.  A friend’s son is in the military and was injured pretty severely.  He is back in the U.S. and has already undergone several surgeries, with more to come. There is not much I can do for him or the family.  But sending a card is right up my alley.  Even if I am a bit late in doing so.  Please put this young man in your prayers if you would.

So here is the card.

Stampin' Up!, Jackie Beers, Waterfront, Wishing You Well, More Than Words

Waterfront, 146386

I love this font on the Wishing You Well.  It is from the Wishing You Well stamp set.  Although I should have left a white space for it.  The Shaded Spruce is sort of covering it.  Also, I failed to mention the main set I used is the Waterfront stamp set.

Here is the inside piece.

This gorgeous sentiment is from the More Than Words stamp set.  It is on the retiring list, but I think it will be hanging around my house a bit longer!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I  have listed all of the products at the bottom of the post.

My May Host Code is XKQZNUBZ .  Please use this code for orders under $150.00.  I will have a small perk for those with orders over $50.00.

Click on the Last Chance icon to go to my Online store.  This will give you up to date what is left on the retiring lists.  And if you would like to place an order, I have a Host Code just below the icon.

If you place an order with me, please use the April Host Code of 3KNKXJFH.  If your order is $75.00 (of product) or more, I will send you a small gift.  If it is over $150.00 (of product) I will send you a small gift, but DO NOT use the code. 150.00 is the minimum host rewards so you get the host rewards.

Tea Time

I apologize for being late two days in a row.  But sometime life doesn’t go smoothly.  Nothing is wrong, just things being crazy.  So thank you for checking in and coming back to see what I have for you.

Today’s card we made at my Stamp Club on Sunday.  I believe they liked it.  I know I enjoyed creating it because it is a bit different that what I normally do.  With the sentiment I chose for the front, this card could be used for so many different occasions.  I love having cards like that in my files for a quick one to grab and send.

Tea Together, 148779

I think this card is really pretty.  Or at least unexpected.  I paired the Tea Together stamp set from the Occasions Catalog with the Tea Time Framelits from Sale-A-Bration.  They are one of the $100.00 Free items.   I believe I heard they are carrying over and that is very unusual.  Even if they do not, I believe they are well worth the price (so to speak!LOL!) The gorgeous ribbon is also from the Tea Suite of products.  It is Tea Ribbon Combo, and you get this color and an off white trimmed in gold as a pair.

The embossing folder to add some class to the tea set, is the Lace Dynamic Embossing Folder also from the Occasions Catalog.  I love the beautiful detail it brings to the card.  The Tea Pot is die cut from the Tea Room Designer Series Paper.   That is where I got the Coastal Cabana card idea from…..I love getting color inspiration from the DSP!

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed this card.  Please return tomorrow as it is one of the PALS Blog Hops!  Those are always filled with super projects.  As always, the supply list is at the bottom the post.

People Like You for Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! January is all about making “Art from the Heart,” featuring projects for Valentines Day, Thinking of You, Get Well, or Sympathy. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Cards that dislike having to make are Sympathy and Get Well cards.  These are usually sad times.  But  I thinkI should send more Get Well cards since making people feel better with our chosen craft is part of the reason we make cards.  So today that is the card that I chose to showcase.  Although the sentiment on the front does not necessarily mean that.  What do you think?

Stampin' Up!, Dear Doily, Needle & Thread, Humming Along, Pretty Label, Jackie Beers

Dear Doily Bundle, 150616

I believe this sentiment is perfect for a variety of reasons and would definitely make the recipient feel special.  I hate to tell you that I used two bundles and an additional stamp set to make this card.  All of the new products were right at my fingertips so looking for just the perfect touches was so easy.

The doily cut out and flower are from Dear Doily Bundle.  The sentiment with the stitched shape is from the Needle & Thread Bundle ( along with the Pretty Label Punch)  And the inside sentiment for the Get Well is “Hope you feel better really soon” from the Humming Along stamp set.  I do try to stick to two sets at a time for a card, but with all the new just laying there begging to be used, I could not resist.  And I really did want it as a Get Well card.

I also did something else that I rarely do.  That is heat embossing.  It is hard to tell from the photo, but the sentiment is heat embossed with White Embossing powder.  And yes, it still amazes me when the powder begins to shine!!  I just love that .  Something I do try to always do is to stamp on the front of the envelope.  I think it gives the recipient an idea that there is something special inside the envelope!

Thank you so much for hopping along with us today and stopping at my post.  I very much appreciate it.  I have all of the supplies I used today listed at the bottom of the post.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 13, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “It’s Time to Sale-A-Brate” projects.
