My card today is using a stamp set that I new I had to have. I created this simple card as soon as I got it in my hands. We all need a hug on a regular basis. And if you love animals, then this one is for you.
STAMPS
This adorable image is from the Hugs & Healing stamp set. As soon as I saw this cuddle between the dog and cat, I was sold! Not all dogs and cats get along this well. I have had a couple that did however. And it is the sweetest. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. They are all listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post. The stamp set does not have matching Dies. But this was pretty quick to fussy cut.
The sentiment is also from the stamp set. It has some sweet ones that go with each of the images. This sentiment actually says Sending Healing Hugs To You. I did not want the Healing. So I stamped the sentiment, which is two lines, and then cut it apart. Plus the cut apart sentiment sort of goes along with the image I think.
PAPERS
There are a variety of papers used here. I sort of went crazy with the DSP and colors. But I wanted it to look like they were laying on the floor. I began with Pecan Pie cardstock for the base. It matches the pups coloring. Next is the “floor”. This piece came from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper. The “rug” is from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. (It pays to keep all of your leftover pieces! ) And then another Pecan Pie layer paired with Crumb Cake cardstock for the actual image to lay on.
EXTRAS
The Extras are a mix of dots that I actually had to look up to make sure they were not retired. They were on the Last Chance List. Of course I just looked again as I am writing this post….and they are gone! These are the Ombre Mat Dots in case you happen to have some in your stash. But if you are like me, you have a few embellishments that have colors to match since I used quite a few for the quilt. I am so sorry about this!!

I am mixing old and new again today. Another Stamp Bundle that I loved from convention is going to be Live with the new Online Exclusives on May 6th. (Which is the same day the New Annual Catalog launches!)
STAMP& PUNCHES
This fun cookie jar is from the upcoming Sweet Jar Punch Bundle. I really love punches and this one cuts the cookie jar and the lid. Additionally there are a few different images for inside the jar. It is going to be a year round go to.
The cookie jar was stamped using Basic Beige Ink for the jar. (Sorry my photo got washed out when trying to clean up some things) And the lid was stamped using Blueberry Bliss Ink. I decided on chocolate chip cookies today. Which happens to be one of the images. The cookies are one stamp and the chips are a separate one. So I could have made my favorite, which are sugar cookies!
The sentiment is from the stamp set as well. It is also stamped with Blueberry Bushel. And is on a punch out from the Keeping Tabs Punch. I did this card for my club ladies and most cut the tab in half. I folded it over the two layers.
PAPERS
This paper may look familiar to you. It is one of the sheets from Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. This is the pack that has oranges and lemons on one side and blue tiles on the other. I have used this paper often and am thrilled to say it is carrying over.
The card base was pulled form the DSP. It is Night of Navy. As a surprise choice, even to me, I went with Misty Moonlight for the layer and the band for the cookie jar. It seemed to work best with the DSP, so who am I to argue.
EXTRAS
There are a few Extras on this card. First is the twine. This is a darker brown, when you can see the true color, to match the cookies. It is the darkest brown in the Naturals baker’s twine multi pack. And for bling, I used the Adhesive-backed Gold Hearts. These are in a few different sizes and are totally flat. Sadly they are on the Last Chance List. So do not hesitate to add these to your next order before it is too late.
DOUBLE REWARDS
Two days only, May 2-3, is Double Rewards. What a way to begin the new Rewards Program! Now is the time to really stock up on some of the Last Chance List. This fun title is actually a stamp. The first time I saw it I laughed out loud, and still do when I see it. And that is what I think our cards should do. Maybe not laugh out loud, but bring a smile or happiness to someone. Plus the way I have used it today is another “almost” no stamping card.
STAMPS
This fun sentiment is from the Saying Hey stamp set. Sadly it is on the Last Chance list. But if you do not have it, then it is not sad. It is currently marked down to $15.30. That is a steal for some fun and unusual sentiments. I thought this sentiment was perfect for the frame and the adorable little mouse. (They are only adorable when not real!!!) It is stamped on Basic Beige cardstock to go along with the other softer and antique looking colors. Then I just fussy cut it to keep it small and to fit on the frame.
PAPERS
These papers are once again from the Storybook Moments Designer Series Paper and sticker pack. The Wild Wheat background so reminds me of old timey wallpaper! Then the frame is from one of the sheets that has multiple different tags and small size images. As soon as I saw it, I went to the sticker page to see what would work inside the frame. Most of these stickers are the storybook animals. But this mouse seemed just right.. She is raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals to help her stand out from the frame
The card base color is pulled from the frame. I chose Flirty Flamingo. Then decided it required a layer between the wallpaper. Basic Beige seemed to go along with the antique as I said regarding the sentiment. So a thin layer breaks up those two darker colors.
EXTRAS
To add bling to this scene I have created was a little difficult. I went through all of my embellishments and most seemed to blend in more than stand out. When I came to the Antique Pearls, they were on my desk and not in the container, I knew these were the bling. They also fit with the antique look. I decided that a trio of them across the top of the frame would be the perfect location.

I have been behind on my promotion of SAB. And sadly it is coming to a close on Friday. The card I am sharing contains one of the most popular of the SAB items. It is the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series paper. This paper is so fun and can be used for almost any card idea.
STAMPS& PUNCH
The fabulous sentiment has stolen the show on this card! That fun font of the Poppin’ Up is one of the best I have seen. It is from the Terrific Toadstools stamp set. As are the fun mushrooms and grass stamps.
The mushrooms are stamped with Poppy Parade ink and Melon Mambo ink. I love the addition of the bright green of the grass or leaf image. Those are stamped using Granny Apple Green. And the stems, plus the sentiment, are stamped using Early Espresso Ink.
The mushrooms have a punch that punches the mushroom head and stem. This punch does not leave a white outline, so it really makes it easier to line up without that worry. I have used Stampin’ Dimensionals under the head of the larger mushroom to add some depth. And the fabulous sentiment layer is raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well.
PAPERS
These fun DSP sheets just make me smile! The colors remind me of the 1970’s and I remember wearing all of those colors. Personally I love the mix of orange and pink. The different greens just brings everything together. These DSP sheets are from Sale-A-Bration. The Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper is a Free product with a qualifying order through the end of February. So only a few days left.
The DSP strips are where all of the colors of the card were pulled from. I went with a very light card base of Fresh Freesia. It really pulls that color from the two DSP sheets. The sentiment layer is also a piece of the DSP. Stamping on the DSP always seems so special.
EXTRAS
The mushrooms are layered onto a Basic White die cut from the Spotlight on Nature Dies. These fun circles all have different details around the edge. It adds an extra touch. And for the bling I went with a single Sunny Day Iridescent Dots. The orange really pops with all of the colors.

You are getting a couple of sneak peeks of upcoming Online Exclusives. I have gone a bit overboard on the demonstrator pre order on this upcoming release. It is fabulous. The card I am sharing is a case of the sample card when this goes Live next month.
STAMPS
These trees are from the upcoming Online Exclusive stamp set Wooded Acres. I love the simple tree textures. However there is almost the exact stamp, but with full leaves, included in the set. It is a two stamp set. And after this card I am really excited to play with it even more.
The trees are stamped using Pebbled Path Ink. I believe it gives it the far off in the distance look without being too bold. If you look at the trio of trees on the bottom right and add them to the edge of the left side, that is the length of the stamp. So you can see how I stamped it off the paper with every inking.
The sentiment is from another of the preorder Online Exclusives. It is from a large Suite of products. This sentiment is from the Textured Notes stamp set. And like I said, it is a large Suite that you will fall in love with if you like natural and texture.
PAPERS& INKS
There are no special papers today. I used Berry Burst cardstock as the base with Wild Wheat cardstock for the narrow layer. Then I created the stamped background with inks and blending brushes. In my mind, it is a sunset view in the mountains.
The bottom section is a light coloring using Wild Wheat Ink. Next is the sunset using Berry Burst Ink. Finally the sky is Misty Moonlight. All of the colors were done fairly lightly.
EXTRAS
To tie in all of the ink colors I added the Natural Tones Linen Thread in the dark blue. I had used the other two ink colors with matching paper. But had not used a blue paper. So a wrap around and a bow took care of the blues.
The final touch is the bling! I used the Sale-A-Bration Purple Adhesive Sequins scattered around. There are different shades of purple/pink sequins in the package. I used three different shades to go along with my color shading.

I have matched the Citrus Blooms set with the fun Sale-A-Bration Fruit Salad DSP. They are perfect pairing for a sweet card.

Now here is the focus of today’s post.
STAMPS& DIES
The Citrus Blooms stamp set from the Annual Catalog seemed a great pairing to go with these fun papers. Plus I just love the fruit images. And I love to color. This orange is colored with Stampin’ Blends to look somewhat like an orange.
Those little stars, I believe they are supposed to be little flowers, are from the matching Die set. I think they make a great addition of color and texture for the card. And the sentiment is from the set as well. I think it is an especially nice sentiment for a friend or as a Thank You.
PAPERS
These two different DSP pieces are from the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper pack from Sale-A-Bration. The color are what made me look for a piece of fruit to pair with them. That and the Fruit Salad name of course! I paired Lemon Lime Twist for the card base with Basic White between the DSP layers. The addition of the Daffodil Delight stars ties everything together easily.
EXTRAS
There are actually a few Extras today. First is the punch for the sentiment. This is the Labeled With Love Punch. It is a great size and I really like the touches on the ends for a little more detail. The stars probably count as some extra. But I still had to add some bling. So there are a scattering of Gold Textured Adhesive Dots to add some shine.
MEASUREMENTS
To give you info on the layers, I have the measurements for you. The card base is 4 1/4 X 11, folded at 5 1/2. The first White layer is 4 X 5 1/4. And the yellow DSP is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8. The second White is 3 1/4 X 4 1/2 with the green at 3 1/8 X 4 3/8. You all know how much I love layers!!
