I love opening the boxes of new products! Seeing items in person is so much better than in the catalog. Along those lines is the star of today’s card. Two little die cuts and the card is practically finished! This is a fun and versatile type card.
STAMPS and DIES
The stamp for this card is great. But it is not really the star of the card. The cut outs in the two corners are what makes this simple card so cute. And it was so simple to do! The cut outs are from two separate Dies from the Spring Corners Die set. (There is also a fabulous matching stamp set.)
The Dies are perfect to place in corners as you can see. I simply chose my Basic White layer and added the two dies where I wanted them. One run through the cutting machine and here we are! I have seen cards where folks have cut the large flower several times in different colors and then pieced the cut out pieces into this outline. Those are really pretty, but I opted for quick and easy on this one.
The sentiment is from a separate stamp set. It is from another new set the Memorable Blooms. It is a bundle in the Mini Catalog. One of my favorite things is a mixing of fonts. And this one really stands out.
PAPERS
To create the background of my flower I wanted daisy colors. In looking through my DSP, I found this piece from the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper. It is a Sale-A-Bration DSP, which means you can get it free with a qualifying order amount. Actually I used two sheets of the same pattern. The layer behind the die cut areas is the opposite side of the layer piece.
The layer piece looks like the inside of an orange slice when you see the full sheet. And to compliment the yellow of the DSP, I went with Crushed Curry for the card base. When trying to decide how to place my sentiment I noticed a scrap of the DSP on the table. So I fussy cut the sentiment and layered it on the scrap. Then I fussy cut the DSP scrap to match. It was very quick and I do not mind fussy cutting at all. Especially on this which had some straight cuts.
EXTRAS
The bling for the card was chosen to match the yellow again. These are sweet little color dots and not really shiny bling. But that is okay with me. I like matching my colors sometimes. These are named Party Dots! How cute is that. There is a variety of colors in the package.

I am back from my knee replacement surgery. Woohoo!! It was so hard not being able to go down the steps to my craft room. The worst part was not really the getting down or back up. It was that I do not really have the room to prop my leg up. And it has not cared for hanging down for any length of time. I am at three weeks post op now and it is behaving itself and accepting the seated position down there. Being short has all kinds of issues. But feet not reaching the floor is one of the most problematic!! Enough about me. Just know that I am happy to be back creating for you, and myself!
Today’s card is a simple one using the Friendly Seagulls stamp set. It is Sale-A-Bration time and this is my favorite of the catalog. The cute french fries is what grabbed my attention. My last meal wish will be a hamburger and french fries!! LOL!!!
STAMPS
The stamps used are all part of the Friendly Seagulls stamp set. The seagulls do not have matching dies. So I did have to fussy cut them. I like fussy cutting so did not mind at all to create the scene I had in mind. They are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored using Stampin’ Blends.
The shells are stamped using Crumb Cake Ink and are just part of what you would see on the beach. Although my experience is they are generally broken! I did add the cute little bubbles, or foam, at the water line. That is so appropriate. And of course the birds flying overhead.
PAPERS
The papers are what make this scene. Shockingly, there is no designer series paper used. To create my seashore scene I began with a piece of Basic Beige cardstock. Next came strips of Coastal Cabana for the water and Balmy Blue for the sky. These were scraps I had on hand. I tore the edge of the Coastal Cabana to show the water coming onto shore. The two pieces were then layered onto the Basic Beige and cut off on the length. Really it was much easier than I anticipated!
EXTRAS
The extra is only one thing. The Antique Pearls are from the new Mini Catalog. I love them!! They have a great shine and are pretty flat. You could count the seagulls as extras since they are fussy cut. But I did not raise them. They are glued flat onto the scene.

I have shared a lot of Christmas cards in the last couple of weeks. The Last Chance List caught me off guard when it appeared. I really missed the notices to us demonstrators on that. My reason for trying to get all of these made is that I am having my second knee replacement today. The first was back in June. So I may be away for a couple of weeks. Hopefully it will not be that long. But my craft space is in the basement. So it will depend on the new knee.
The card I have to share today is one I really love. It stars one of the snowmen from the Snowman Hugs stamp set. These guys seem so happy and it makes me want some snow. Not really!!! I live in the south and snow here is a mess.
STAMPS
This scene from Snowman Hugs is just so sweet. I love the set, but this one is my favorite from the set. It is hard to say if the rabbit is giving the snowman a carrot for his nose, or if the snowman is giving the carrot to the rabbit. Either way it is a sweet scene of giving.
The image is stamped using Basic Gray Ink and then colored using Stampin’ Blends. I took liberties with the colors as I wanted them to match the DSP. And I love the sentiment. It is included in the stamp set and is one I have used several times already. Sadly this set is on the Last Chance List as well.
PAPERS
This gorgeous sheet of DSP is once again from the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. If you have this paper I hope you love it as much as I do. At first I was not sure it would work with my snowman. But I think it did okay. It seems to blend with the happy theme.
The other papers are all pulled from colors of the DSP. I used Shaded Spruce, Real Red and Basic White. There are other colors from the Stampin’ Blends, but if possible they are the same as the paper.
EXTRAS
The snowman scene is fussy cut with my fabulous Stampin’ Up! Paper Snips. For the sentiment layer I used a 1 1/2″ Circle Punch but then cut off one edge to lay flat with the edge of the DSP. The sentiment is then simply fussy cut, or more square cut, to fit on the circle. There are a few of the flat adhesive sequins scattered around as well.

The Yuletide Village stamp set is one that I really debated on purchasing. Then I saw the potential for quick and easy cards and was sold. This set is beautiful and can be used in a very detailed card as well.
STAMPS
The stamp I chose to use from the Yuletide Village set is this small cottage. I thought it would be a sweet little cabin in the woods. With the way the image is layered and the DSP I left off a sentiment for the front of the card. Plus the stamp set does not include any sentiments.
This image is stamped using Basic Gray Ink and then colored using Stampin’ Blends. The snow is Pool Party Ink and Stampin’ Blends. All of the Stampin’ Blends colors are listed in the supply list.
PAPERS
This gorgeous sheet of DSP is from the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. I believe it is now sold out from the Last Chance List. Sorry to have used something no longer available.. I made a lot of Christmas cards for this last week not realizing the list would come out as early as it did.
The pine limbs and needles of this paper inspired everything else. It completed my vision of a little scene to peer at. So the layer behind the cottage is Pecan Pie and was pulled from the limb. To add to the pop of White, both the focal layer and the little snow flakes in the DSP, I added a thin layer of Basic White between the DSP and the Pretty Peacock card stock.
EXTRAS
The “scene” layers are cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Sadly they are on the Last Chance List as well. These are fabulous Dies to have in your stash. To complete the snow and sparkle, I added a scattering of Pearls around the card for my bling.

The Snowman Hugs stamp set caught my early on from the Mini Catalog. I love the “fun” stamp sets. I have used the one snowman a few times, but not this beach snowman. I hope you enjoy him.
STAMPS
This fun loving beach Snowman is very different from most. And I love that. He could actually be a sand man instead of snow man. I made him like a party animal. The parrot was difficult to color and I just mixed a few bright colors of Stampin’ Blends. For the snowman, I colored his shirt with Daffodil Delight, and Poppy Parade. I used Soft Sea Foam for his hat. He seems to be saying “Let’s have fun” !! The matching sentiment is also from the stamp set.
PAPERS
The striped paper is from the Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper. I like the unusual snowman and adding the green stripes mixed with some of the colors on him. The other layers were pulled from that DSP. The card base is Shaded Spruce with a layer of Crumb Cake.
EXTRAS
This image did not seem to match my normal bling choices. So I went with a flat sequin to give a hint of another green. These are the Adhesive Backed Shiny Sequins. They are really thin and are very shiny.

I have been pulling some of the Last Chance Products from my shelf. As I do I check them to see if I can get one more card out of the set. Today I chose a last use of the Hang An Ornament set. It can be quick and easy or as detailed as you want. I chose simple.
STAMPS
The Hang An Ornament stamp set, it is also a die bundle, has only a few stamps included in it. And I love the set. For this card I chose one of the single ornaments. It is stamped using Garden Green. There is a slot left in the center of the ornament for a decoration or sentiment. I added the sentiment from the stamp set. It is stamped using Real Red Ink. This is so quick and easy because it is a photopolymer stamp.
PAPERS
The gorgeous background paper is from the Take A Bow Designer Series Paper. I love this pack of paper. The images are fabulous for almost any occasion. To help the colors pop, I used Basic White as the card base, then added a layer of Garden Green. The Real Red layer behind the ornament and ribbon help the berries of the paper to stand out.
EXTRAS
To highlight the gorgeous ornament I used the Stylish Shapes Dies for the highlight. The bit of stitching is great. Sadly these are on the Last chance Products also. This Die set is fabulous. It is perfect for layering. And the dies are in the shape of circles, squares, and banners.
The final touch is the ribbon. This is a retired ribbon. But any Real Red that you have in your stash will work perfectly. I made a giant loopy bow that is adhered to the back of the circles. Normally I would not do a bow this large, but it does work here I believe
There is a small bit of bling today. I used Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend to color a small rhinestone. The card has Real Red, but I wanted the color to be dark so went with Cherry Cobbler. I added it right at the top of the ornament on what would be the silver that holds the hook.

The card I have today is the last of the Memories & More cards. It is another one using the Note Cards. I hope these cards have inspired you to try out the Note Cards for those quick Thank You, Gift enclosure, and even a regular card.
STAMPS
To go back to last week and some of the Reindeer Days cards, this one also has No Stamping on the front. There is a sentiment on the inside. How easy is this for a quick card or gift insert!
PAPERS
The basics of this card begins with the Basic White Note Cards. There are twenty cards and envelopes in the pack. They are are scored and ready to go. I added a banner of Real Red that I snipped the ends using my Paper Snips. Then simply layered the Reindeer Days Memories & More card on top. Easy Peasy!!!
EXTRAS
There is no Bling! I have shocked myself. It is very rare for me not to use bling. But there just did not seem a good place to add anything. Make note of this rare occasion!! LOL!!

I am starting off with an OH MY!!! This post was actually yesterday’s post. When I came in just now to do Friday’s post, I realized this one had not been sent out. It really helps when you put the date and schedule them!! My new set up has actually caught me short this time. And it doesn’t help that I have been running around like crazy to get things accomplished. This is part of the reason for sharing these quick cards.
Today’s card is another version of the Quick Cards I mentioned earlier. This one is a tad different in that it uses the smaller of the cards in the pack. And it is created on a Note Card size card and not the regular A2 size.
STAMPS
This is another card where I am shocked to say “There is no Stamping!” . At least not on the front anyway. All that you see is from the Reindeer Days Memories & More Card Pack. Even the cardinal sitting as the tree topper. It is a sticker from the sticker sheet that is part of the package. I will add that I did stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card. So there is some hand stamping.
PAPERS
This card could not be easier in more ways than one. The card pack is the first, and the card itself is the second. This is one of the Note Cards, from the Note Cards and Envelopes package. There are 20 cards with matching envelopes included. And I did not add a layer or anything additional with card stock.
EXTRAS
There is always, almost always, Bling! In this case I added a single rhinestone. It is a tad difficult to see in the photo. But it is below the cardinal on the tree. It is between the cardinal and the sentiment. With this being note card size, I did not want to add a lot of scattered bling. So a single was all I used.

Today is the final day of FREE Shipping on orders of $75.00 or more. The Last Chance Products are like a Clearance Rack Refresh on steroids!! So there should be quite a lot of things on your Wish List available.
I mentioned the Team stamping event this past weekend. A few of the cards from my upline were made using the Memories & More Card Packs. This one is the Reindeer Days Memories & More. Plus, because she is extremely generous, she gave each of us a full pack of the cards. So my cards for the rest of the week are all created from this pack of gorgeous cards.
STAMPS
To say this card is simple, I meant it was simple to create. Other than the inside sentiment, there is No stamping on this one. I really cannot say that I have ever made a no stamping card before.
It seems that for the last few years I make cards all year and then when Christmas card time arrives there is something happening. This year has been one thing after another. So discovering these card packs has been a savior for me. I really am not sure why I have ignored them all these years. DUH!!!
PAPERS
The Reindeer Days Memories & More Card Pack is almost all of this card. There are 54 cards from two different sizes. The striped layer is one of the 4 X 6 cards, cut down just a bit. The reindeer layer is also one of the 4 X 6 but trimmed quite a bit to only have the reindeer with no trimming. I decided on Garden Green as the card base. And the sentiment is a sticker from the Card pack. It is layered on a die cut piece of Real Red cardstock. So do you believe the simple!!!
EXTRAS
There are two products used other than the card pack. First is the layer behind the sentiment. It is a Die from the Stylish Shapes Dies. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise the sentiment, even though it is a sticker. And of course there is bling! I scattered some of the Basic Rhinestones around and that completed the card.

Before I get to today’s project, I want to remind you that Free Shipping begins today. I have been out of town all of last week. And did not have my laptop to get out the information. The Free Shipping begins today and runs thru Wednesday. You can take advantage of any of our products. So it is a great time to get some of the Last Chance items that you may have been looking at. I love the easy way to look up those Last Chance items now. Please let me know if you have any questions or need assistance.
Today’s project is one I made for a Shoebox Swap my Up-Upline put together. It was great to see some of our group that is local. This project has a bit of a retro look to it. The best part is how really easy it is to put together.
This looks very retro to me. A simple gift box from my childhood. Now it is a simple card! I created this from several different versions I have seen. The first version was very similar to this one. However it was only a photo with a couple of measurements. I made that version larger. This fits an A2 envelope almost as a regular card would. I made a few more tweaks regarding how things fit together.
The top pulls out to allow you to see the inside “card”. This card is large enough for you to use a Removable Glue Dot and adhere a gift card. Here is the open view.
STAMPS
To keep this fairly plane and simple, I only used one stamp set. That is an unusual thing for me of late. This stamp set is the Sentimental Wishes stamp set. The sentiments are simple and have a different font than those we normally see. Almost like they are retro as well. The front sentiment layer also includes the bow. I felt it needed a bit of an extra touch.
PAPERS
The card base, both top and bottom are from Real Red cardstock The only additional cardstock is the bit for the Granny Apple Green layer with the sentiment. And the sentiment is on Basic White. the fun “bow” wrapped around the card is from the Take A Bow Designer Series Paper. All of the sheets from this 6X6 paper pack would work wonderfully on this card. There are three main colors, the ones you see in the dots, and these are included on all of the papers in the pack.
EXTRAS
The card itself is fairly straightforward. But I am including the measurements. The only extras are the Circle Punches, which are the 1 3/4″ and the 2″ Circle Punches. For the bling I added a single Rhinestone. This time I used a larger one to stand out a bit better.
MEASUREMENTS
The Real Red card base is cut to 5 X 7 and scored on the 7″ side at 3 1/4. When folded, the shorter section is the card front. Fold the card and add adhesive on the shorter front sides right up against the edge. Tear & Tape is the width to consider.
The Real Red card top measures 5 1/2 X 3 and is scored on the 3″ side at 1 1/2. Fold and burnish. The inside Basic White is cut to 3 3/4 X 4. The 3 3/4 is the width to make sliding in and out easy. I suggest placing the White piece inside of the top, up to the score line, and then stamp the sentiment. This insures it is not up to high. Then center the White and add adhesive of your choice, but only at the very top of the White. Do not add adhesive all the way down the red. Again, think of the width of Tear & Tape. Once that is dry, turn this section over and adhere the back in the same way.
The DSP is from the Take A Bow DSP and measures one at 1 3/8 X 3 1/4, that is for the front. And 5 3/8 X 1 3/8 for the front of the top section. Now slide your top, with the White attached, down into the pocket. It should easily slide in and the top folded red goes down over the bottom part just a bit. This helps the illusion of a box. Add the sentiment on the front and you are completed.
