I have another first on today’s card. Not a super first, but a step for myself. A few weeks ago I shared a card using one of the Kits. It was the Watercolor one. That was the first time I had used a kit project. (You can see that post HERE) And today I have used die cut / punch outs from one of the DSP. It is similar to what the kits contain. To say I was impressed with the paper and the colors is an understatement. I was amazed and in love. So much that it is the star of today’s card.
PAPERS
The amazing DSP pack this gorgeous bouquet comes from is the Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper. There are two sheets of punch outs just as there are two sheets of each pattern paper. All of these punch outs are as pretty as this bouquet. I hope you see why it is the star of the card. Now I am ready to give all of the kits another look.
This is also the second time in recent days that I have used Blueberry Bushel for the card base. This bright color pops on it’s own. And it really pulls the bits of blue from the bouquet. The blue is the first thing I notice now.
STAMPS
The bouquet really is impressive and fills the front of the card. So there was not a lot of need, or room, for a sentiment layer. However I wanted to add one. So I went with this simple sentiment using two different stamps from the Sentimental Park stamp set. Because they are photopolymer, it was so easy to stamp the bottom sentiment and then add the top centered above it. To give the Basic White strip a touch of extra, I flagged each end with my paper snips.
EXTRAS
This bouquet is beautiful but it still needed something behind it. To add some additional texture I went with the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder. I think it adds just the right background without taking away from the bouquet.
To add bling to match the gold from the bouquet, I added a trio of the Gold Textured Adhesive Dots along with a bow from the Gold Twisted Thread. This thread is easy to work with and a great way to add some shine to a card.

I am sharing a card made with a couple of the new additions to the Sale-A-Bration options. The new additions are all wonderful products and some are from current catalogs. That is not a regular occurrence. My card idea showcases the new Beautiful Butterflies Bundle and the Happy Labels Punch.
STAMP BUNDLE
The Beautiful Butterflies Bundle is a winner in my book. It includes the awesome stamp set with gorgeous butterflies. (The smallest is shown lighting on my banner) Plus a matching Die set, and a Hybrid Embossing Folder. I have used the embossing folder as my layer here. You can see the amazing details.
This background needed a bold sentiment as I wasn’t really adding a focal layer of the normal kind. The sentiment and the butterfly are from the stamp set. The butterfly is fussy cut as there is not a matching Die for it. But it is a quick one to cut out.
The stamp set is the only part of the bundle that has been added to the Sale-A-Bration options. If you choose this, with a qualifying order, remember to use the product number on the flyer or on your computer in the options. Do not use the catalog product number.
PAPERS
This idea of a simple but bold card first started with what color to use. I chose Granny Apple Green as the card base and Lemon Lolly for the layer. With some colors, the Lemon Lolly seems very light and does not really stand out. I was very pleased that it does stand out with the Granny Apple Green. To make a different type layer for the sentiment, I also used more of the Granny Apple Green. Color wise this is a simple card with only a couple of colors and no pattern papers.
EXTRAS
The first Extra is the second of the new Sale-A-Bration Options. It is the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. I cut the two layers for the sentiment and then punched the ends of both using the larger of the ticket look. The White is 3 3/4 X 3/4 and the Granny Apple Green is 4 X 1, or roughly those dimensions before punching.
To add sparkle and bling I went with two different options, but both are silver. The first is the ribbon. It is the White and Silver Ribbon. I love the shine it brings to the card. And then to add more silver shine, I opted to use the adhesive backed Sparkle Gems. These have several base colors and I used the silver one. You should see three of them scattered around.

The Friendly Seagulls stamp set from Sale-A-Bration is one that makes me smile every time I look at it. I am a huge french fry fan and apparently so are these guys. This card is one that only takes a couple of products to create. And when you add a Free stamp set, it is definitely a winner!
STAMPS
There is one additional stamp set used in addition to Friendly Seagulls. It is the texture around the edges of the Crumb Cake card base. This stamp is from the Lovely & Sweet stamp set. I used tone on tone to add this texture.
The Friendly Seagull is stamped on a scrap Basic White and then fussy cut. He is colored with Stampin’ Blends. The french fry box is as well. I love the flock of birds in the top left as an addition for distance. And stamping them off of the “scene” area is something I like to do. I have a painting that has part of the picture painted on the matting. This made me think of that.
The sentiment is fun and bold. So it needed to stand alone. I stamped the two parts and then did straight cuts, no fussy cutting, to keep it simple. The way they are placed makes it seem as if the seagull is shouting out his love of fries. Except for having his mouth full of them. 🙂
PAPERS
This is one of the simplest cards in regard to papers. There are only two. The Crumb Cake card base and then the Basic white for everything else. I used scraps for the seagull, fries, and sentiments. Since I stamp almost every day, I have a ton of scraps from cutting paper. I try to keep them under control but White is the one that can quickly become overloaded!
EXTRAS
The special part of the card is the Pool Party square. This is such a fun and easy technique. I inked the Clear Block D with Pool Party ink, stamped off, and then stamped onto my square of Basic White. And that is my ocean. To add some texture, and bling, I added a trio of the Antique Pearls to the bottom. The seagull is popped up with dimensionals and the fries are glued down. So the pearls are in between the two in terms of height.

I have matched the Citrus Blooms set with the fun Sale-A-Bration Fruit Salad DSP. They are perfect pairing for a sweet card.
Speaking of SAB, have you seen the new February additions? Oh My!!! There are several from Current catalogs in the list. Just remember that there are different product numbers on the SAB sheet for these products. If you use the catalog number they will show up as a price and not Free. Here is the flyer.
Now here is the focus of today’s post.
STAMPS& DIES
The Citrus Blooms stamp set from the Annual Catalog seemed a great pairing to go with these fun papers. Plus I just love the fruit images. And I love to color. This orange is colored with Stampin’ Blends to look somewhat like an orange.
Those little stars, I believe they are supposed to be little flowers, are from the matching Die set. I think they make a great addition of color and texture for the card. And the sentiment is from the set as well. I think it is an especially nice sentiment for a friend or as a Thank You.
PAPERS
These two different DSP pieces are from the Fruit Salad Designer Series Paper pack from Sale-A-Bration. The color are what made me look for a piece of fruit to pair with them. That and the Fruit Salad name of course! I paired Lemon Lime Twist for the card base with Basic White between the DSP layers. The addition of the Daffodil Delight stars ties everything together easily.
EXTRAS
There are actually a few Extras today. First is the punch for the sentiment. This is the Labeled With Love Punch. It is a great size and I really like the touches on the ends for a little more detail. The stars probably count as some extra. But I still had to add some bling. So there are a scattering of Gold Textured Adhesive Dots to add some shine.
MEASUREMENTS
To give you info on the layers, I have the measurements for you. The card base is 4 1/4 X 11, folded at 5 1/2. The first White layer is 4 X 5 1/4. And the yellow DSP is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8. The second White is 3 1/4 X 4 1/2 with the green at 3 1/8 X 4 3/8. You all know how much I love layers!!

I have a simple and sweet card for you today. The Book fold is a Fun Fold that is really easy to make. It is paired with a quick stamped image for a simply sweet card. I added a touch of humor in the sentiment as the final touch.
Here is the open view
STAMPS
There are two stamp sets on this card. The tree image is from the Delicate Forest stamp set. I love the simpleness of the tree. This image has been used previously on a sympathy card. I thought the more shadow look of the tree was perfect. And I was headed that way today. But decided that it really did not need to be a sympathy. It works for any type card. And I love stamping on the DSP. The Pebbled Path Ink does lend it to a shadow look though. I also used the small tree stamp to adorn the inside of the card. You can see that in the second photo. This type card can get by without an inside sentiment I think.
The fun sentiment is from the Saying Hey stamp set. This may be one that you have overlooked in the Annual Catalog. It includes the basic sentiments that we all want like Happy Birthday, but also some really fun ones like today’s. I believe this is a great way to tell someone you miss them.
PAPERS
These two DSP sheets are both from the Everyday Skies Designer Series Paper. This is a 6X6 pack of papers that have fabulous sky images on one side and then complimentary patterns on the opposite. Both of these are the reverse side of papers. I paired them with Pretty In Pink for the card base. This paper pack is an Online Exclusive.
The Bookfold is a simple card base. The Pretty In Pink is 11 X 4 1/4. Score it at 4 1/4 and then 5 1/2. Fold on both score lines and then add adhesive between the two. This makes the “spine” of the book. Easy Peasy!
EXTRAS
The sentiment layer is a big extra. These layering Dies are from the Mixed Labels Dies that are a Bundle in the Online Exclusives. I love the different little details around the edges. Another simple Extra is the White Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. A little knot and it is a nice touch added to the spine. For an added bonus, this ribbon is on the Last Chance List at almost half price. And to compliment more of the White, I added a scattering of Pearls around the front layer.

I have had the Ocean Friends Bundle for a month and this is the first time I have inked it up. That is shocking! Now I see a lot more crabs in my future. And choosing the colors is such a fun task to make the crab your own.
I apologize for the darkness. not sure what is going on with my photography.
STAMPS& DIES
The Ocean Friends stamp set is such a cute set. The crab and lobster are a perfect mix of real and fun. Plus the sentiments are sweet like this Hello, Friend. The seaweed behind the crab is part of the stamps. It did not have a matching Die but was not difficult to fussy cut. The crab did have a Die and was easy to cut.
There are different thoughts regarding two step stamping. I go back and forth with which should be stamped first the solid or the outline. For me on the crab it was easier to line things up with stamping the outline first. I used Pumpkin Pie for the outline. Then I was able to line up the solid with the top near the eyes and the bottom legs. Peach Pie was used for the solid shape. But everyone has their own technique.
PAPERS
The adorable starfish paper is one of the amazing sheets from the pack of Friends of The Ocean Designer Series Paper. Those colors are a mix of exactly my colors. I wanted to use more of it, but also wanted the embossing folder. The compromise of this strip surprised me at how well it stands out. I paired it with bright colors that come from the paper. Again the dark photography doesn’t do it justice. The card base is Lemon Lime Twist with the embossed layer being Summer Splash.
The measurements are 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 for the card base. With the layer being 5 X 3 3/4. And the strip of DSP is 4 3/4 2. I liked giving the waves some show off space but still have enough of the starfish paper showing.
EXTRAS
The main of the extras is an embossing folder that is part of the ocean Suite. It is the Soft Waves Embossing Folder. The swirls are amazing, and perfect for the images. Of course the bling matches well also. The Antique Pearls are scattered around the waves for some shine there.

I have a Bookmark Card using the new For The Books Stamp set as the highlight. The basics are pretty simple and offer so many ways to decorate. This is a case from Connie Stewart and is fairly quick to make.
Stampin’ Up!, For The Books, Jackie Beers
STAMPS
There are actually two different stamp sets used on today’s card. First is the new For The Books set. These stacked books on the front, along with the adorable glasses, are from the stamp set. I also added additional books on the inside as well as a fun sentiment from the set. Plus the bookmark itself has a funny sentiment that is perfectly fitting.
The front sentiment is from the Labeled With Love stamp set. This set has some “go to” stamps for me. The front one is one of those, as is the inside Happy Birthday. It is small and a nice mix of fonts. Here are the other two views of this card.
The addition of the strip of the DSP helps give the books a shelf to sit on. And I love that fun 5 star rating!
The DSP is added to all aspects of the card, including the bookmark. And this is another of the fun sentiments from the For The Books stamp set.
PAPERS
This card base was pulled from the DSP of course. The base is Basic Beige, which is a fabulous Neutral to have on hand. But the star is this Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper. Sadly it is still out of stock, but supposed to be back before long. I added a layer of Boho Blue cardstock behind the front DSP and to back the books on the front.
EXTRAS
There are several Extras today. First is the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder on the front bookmark holder. I felt this was appropriate to pair with the DSP. Next is the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch for the stack of books. I also punched from Boho Blue and cut that piece in half to act as a layer behind the White. It needed a bit of color to stand out some.
To finish off the bookmark, I used one of the Postage Stamp Dies to cut the bookmark sentiment. And added the Beige and Wild Wheat Ribbon as the ribbon pull. Finally, because there really were a lot of extras, the bling is a trio of the 2024-2026 Shimmer Gems.

I generally do not use the Kits from Stampin’ Up!. They are wonderful kits and I know people who love them for quick and beautiful cards. I saw one that spoke to me. You all know how much I love coloring! Well the Nature’s Painting Kit is so much better than I even expected. I have now joined my own Kit Fan Club .
KIT
This Nature’s Painting Kit contains fabulous floral designs. The “stamped” image that I colored comes pre-stamped in a pad. There are 24 stamped watercolor pages. These are different images and multiples of each. You also receive a package of Watercolor Pencils and a Water Painter. The photos on the booklet are gorgeous and show methods of how to start with lighter colors and then darker. But the magic is when you add the water painter to the pencil coloring! It is almost as good as embossing for the Wow! So now I am a kit person. Or at least for this style of kits.
The color choices I made for coloring was intended to copy the included flyer. It does somewhat but is not quite as vibrant. I will say that the size of the paper is roughly 6 X 4 1/2. I cut it down to 3 7/8 X 5 1/8 to add my layer and it be a regular size A2 card.
STAMPS
There are no stamps included in this kit. So I went to one of my favorite sentiment sets for this sentiment. I love how the pre-stamped page leaves this opening that is perfect for a sentiment. One of my go to sets is the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set. It doesn’t contain the general Happy Birthday but has sweet sentiments.
PAPERS
The choosing of the layers was done by holding up my finished product to the different cardstock. I landed on Granny Apple Green for the layer to highlight the leaves. And Lemon Lolly to help the lighter flowers to pop. Calypso Coral or Flirty Flamingo would have made the darker flowers stand out if you wanted.
EXTRAS
This card really did not require extras. I thought about adding some ribbon, but it seemed to detract rather than add. So after stamping the sentiment I looked for appropriate bling. The Antique Pearls were the winner. They are simply surrounding the sentiment and seem perfect for the flowers.

The cute project for today is one I somewhat cased from a fellow demonstrator, Jenny Poederbach. I will be doing another version of this soon as it was fun and needs some tweaking on my part. The best part is that it stars one of my favorite new stamp sets and is a Fun Fold of sorts.
STAMPS
This paper is gorgeous, but one of my favorite stamp sets includes this cake with the zillion candles on it! I think this is so fun for our close friends who like myself are getting to the larger numbers in birthdays. Of course that is a good thing!! The stamp set is the One More Year set. It contains fun and sweet images as well as fun sentiments.
The front sentiment is not from the One More Year stamp set. It needed a simple sentiment. I really like this bold but simple Happy Birthday from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set. The inside sentiment is from this set as well. Here is a look at the inside of the card.
This photo shows how the front birthday cake and banner pull through the circle to the inside when opened. I think this is so fun! And now for the full view of the sentiment.
This Celebrate is from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp as well as the front sentiment. I offset it so part is seen with the banner and circle still down.
PAPERS
The gorgeous floral paper with addition of gold sections is from the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is so elegant and just pretty! Of course the card base is pulled from the front floral panel. It is Blueberry Bushel. This is such a vibrant blue that everytime I pull it out I wonder why I do not use it more often.
The sweet pink check is the opposite side of the front panel. You can see that when the card opens. I added the layer of Pretty In Pink on the inside to compliment that pink check. And I love to stamp on DSP. Thankfully this check is light enough that using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink for the Happy Birthday shows up very well on the check. It was a nice way to add more of the check to the card.
EXTRAS
To create my “window” I went simple. I used the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch and then the 2″ Circle Punch for the birthday cake. For the bling, I went back to my current favorite. That is the Low-Profile Dots. These are in Pink and Gold and are almost flat. On previous cards I have only used the gold. I almost did again, but thought I would add some additional pink. There is one on the cake layer and then two are highlighting the center of two of the flowers.

I love making little treat holders to hand out to the nice people I encounter regularly. The ones I have to share today have been around for some time. Actually I had a lady message me asking exactly how it went together. So after playing with it to help her, I decided I should make some to hand out. It is a Double Treat Holder. I have used it for Ghirardelli Chocolates and Tea Bags. This one has gorgeous DSP to make it extra special.
I have the directions at the bottom of the post. They are pretty simple to score and fold.
STAMPS & DIES
This sweet stamp is is from the Mixed Labels Bundle. And the adorable Die cut shape is made using one of the matching Dies. I love the stitching with detail around the edge. Plus the new shape is wonderful. On The opposite side of the treat holder I added a little note card. The sentiment from it is from the fabulous So Sincere stamp set. It is definitely one that is a keeper for some great sentiments.
The the opposite side of the treat holder is the exact same size as the front. You could add a second treat there in place of a note. Here is a view of that side.
PAPERS
This gorgeous paper is the Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper. It is back in stock now so Woohoo!! The gold marbling is on one side with red, cherry cobbler, pretty in pink, white, and gold. The stamping was done on good ol’ Basic White. So a simple supply project as well.
EXTRAS
The Cherry Cobbler and Gold ribbon used to hold the sides together is from Holiday Catalog that just went out. It is still available but with low inventory. For the bling I used the Gold Textured Adhesive Dots. There are three different sizes and I used the middle size to add a touch of gold to the main sentiment.
DIRECTIONS
The treat holder uses a 6X6 piece of DSP. Use your Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I have drawn a line down the center of mine from the 6″ mark using a Black Sharpie. This makes the steps for this project much easier. So….place the DSP on the scoring tool with a point at the 6″ mark and the other lines up in the 6″ line. You have a diamond shape. Score at 4 1/2 and 7 1/2. Make a turn in either direction and score at 5 1/4, 6, and 6 3/4.
Fold and burnish on all of the score lines. Decide which paper you want to be on the outside front folds, like where my sentiment is. Now fold the two side score folds towards the center. They overlap a bit and that is perfect. Then fold the three center scores with the center one making a mountain. Fold the other two so they meet to make the shape. There is no adhesive needed! Here is a view of the side so you can see those center score lines as they need to fold. Let me know if you have any problems.
