Yay For Punches

I commented in a post from last week that I love punches.  Today’s card is definitely a Punch Card.  I used three different punches for this one.  There are an unusual mix of punches as well.  I hope you will see the cuteness and humor in it.

Stampin' Up!, Jackie Beers, Share What You Love, Itty Bitty Greetings, Banner Triple Punch, Cat Punch, Balloon Bouquet Punch

Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, 146926

This card could also be a Share What You Love Designer Series Paper card!  I know I tend to use this Specialty DSP quite often.  But if you had it in your hands, you would use it as well.  It is absolutely AWESOME!

The cat holding the balloons is perfect for me because I love cats.  When I was looking for my focal point, other than the DSP, I was gazing over all of my punches and landed on the cat.  Then I saw the Balloon Bouquet Punch and knew that was the combination I needed.  The adorable little sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings.  I always hate to lose great sentiment stamps like Teeny Tiny Wishes, which just retired, but this set is perfect.

All of the DSP used is from the Share What You Love DSP.  The banner and background are the two sides of one sheet.  The multicolored circles are from a different sheet.  I never throw away  DSO scraps and this is a perfect card to use them on.

Thank you for visiting today!  I very much appreciate it.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.  Don’t forget about the Bonus Days, details below.  This DSP would get you halfway to the needed $50.00 for a bonus coupon.  Yes that is a tad expensive, but it is card stock weight and 24 sheets.  A normal pack of DSP is only 12 sheets.

A Fall Blended Season

I debuted the Blended Seasons Bundle during the July InKing Royalty Blog Hop.  You can see that card HERE.   This stamp set is only available during August and While Supplies Last!  The stamps are perfect for Spring/Summer, Fall, and Christmas.  But the Framelits are spectacular.  They match a few of the stamps but the best part are the three layers that are stitched!  They are stitched inside the cutting line and leave stitching around the outside of the cut out.  It’s a super look!  Take a look at today’s Fall inspired card.

Blended Seasons Bundle, 149894

I used one of the layering dies from the matching framelits so you can see the stitching.  The background is the Subtle Embossing Folder.  The leaves are part of the Blended Seasons set as well as the Die Cut leaf.

I stamped the leaves in Cherry Cobbler Ink and then used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color the leaves.  The sentiment is from the precious Host Stamp Set – Very Vintage.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great weekend and will return to see my Monday project.  All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page.

Don’t forget about Bonus Days!!!  For every $50.00 you spend (at one time) during August, you will receive a coupon code worth $5.00 to use in September.  It’s like getting paid to shop!

Friendship

I am finally using the gorgeous purples that were part of the Stampin’ Up! Color Revamp.  I have used touches previously, but this card is “PURPLE” !

Tea Room Bundle, 148410

I was not really over the moon about this bundle until I began seeing the Framelit my sentiment is cut from.  Then I took a closer look at the entire set and was sold.  I adore the sentiments and the framelits.  The cute little cup is perfect as well.

I wanted the sentiment and it’s frame to be the focal point so I really did not want a bright DSP to take away from it.  Then I thought of the Tufted Embossing Folder and knew that was the right touch.  Of course I had to add a few pearls to highlight the tufting.

Thank you for visiting today!  I really appreciate that you take the time to stop by and check out my projects.

Bonus Days are back!!!  For every $50.00 you spend during August, you will receive a Coupon Code worth $5.00 that you can spend in September.  Woohoo, FREE stuff!!

Darling Label Thanks

I adore Stampin’ Up!’s punches.  So I was very excited to see the Darling Label Punch in the new catalog.  Yes, it is a bit pricy.  But you are receiving a Bundle.  You get a precious stamp set that coordinates with the punch.  You also get a beautiful blue and copper tin the bundle is packaged in.  The gorgeous tin is a gift in itself and would be great packaging for a gift to someone special, or yourself!  So here is today’s project showcasing this set.

Darling Label Punch, 146855

The Darling Label punch is the small center one.  I paired it with the Everyday Label Punch.  The stamp is one of the coordinating stamps in the bundle.  I did my first paper piecing in a while.  But I think the dimension it gives was well worth it.

If you are wondering about my background, it is the Clear Block G.  Yes, I used the clear block as a stamp and used my Stampin’ Up! Grid paper to line it up (fairly) straight.   I wanted something a bit different.  The flower is from the Love What You Do stamp set.

Thank you so much for visiting today!  I very much appreciate it and would love for you to leave a comment.  The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Garden Impressions

Today is the final day for the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper.  So I thought I would highlight one of the GORGEOUS papers for my card today.  It is the Garden Impressions 6 X 6 DSP.

Garden Impressions DSP, 146289

Like I said, this DSP is Gorgeous!  I was extremely lucky, because it was totally unplanned, that a strip that was cut off perfectly matched the flower at bottom left.  So then I just had to adhere that strip to the top flap of the small card.  It matched perfectly.  That never happens to me!!

This is a “No Fold” type card.  At least that is what I call it.  The base is only 4 1/4 X 5 1/2.  The actual “card” is on the front.  It is a 3 X 6 folded in half to make a small 3X3 card on the front of the beautiful base.  It is an awesome way to showcase Stampin’ Up!’s fabulous Designer Series Paper.

Here is a view of the inside:

I hope you will give this layout a try.  It is perfect for one of the 6 X 6 packs of DSP because you get 48 sheets in each package.  You could make 48 cards like this and still have a ton of scraps left to use on small projects.

I ended up using three different stamp sets for very little stamping!  LOL !  But it was what was on my craft table.  They are all listed with the supplies.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  I greatly appreciate your kind comments.  Please remember that today is the end of both the DSP Sale and the JOIN spectacular Special.  You can contact me if you need assistance with either one.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Base is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2
  • Next layer is 4 1/8 X 5 3/8
  • DSP is 4 X 5 1/4
  • Small card base is 3 X 6, folded in half
  • Next layer is 2 7/8 X 2 7/8
  • White top layer is 2 3/4 X 2 3/4

Accented Blooms

I immediately knew I liked the Accented Blooms Stamp set as soon as I saw it.  I really liked that it coordinated with a punch!  I do love punches, especially for making multiple cards.  That is even more so with this stamp set because the sentiments are varied.  You can make the same  card and easily add the appropriate sentiment as needed.  Here is the one I chose for today.

Accented Blooms, 146681

I just love the variety of the colors.  The two main colors are Grapefruit Grove and Granny Apple Green.  With the flowers I used several of the Stampin’ Blends.  I like the mixture even though I was a little nervous as I was coloring!

Thank you for visiting today!  I love reading your comments and appreciate them very much.  The supplies I used for today’s project are all listed at the bottom of the page.

Reminder:  There is only today and tomorrow left to take advantage of the AWESOME Join Special.  With the Starter Kit price of $99.00, you will receive $192.50 worth of product and get FREE Shipping.  The normal Starter Kit is $125.00 worth of product for $99.00.  This special has added a complete set of one color family of Ink Pads.  That is a $67.50 value.  Additionally, there is no pressure to continue after your Starter Kit purchase.  Think  of it as the Ultimate Shopping Experience!!  I would love to talk with you about this .  But hurry ….remember that I said it expires July 31 at midnight mountain time.

3X3 Notecards

Today’s projects are a continuous of the notecard and post it note holder of yesterday.  I am simply showing you the cards I made to go in it.  I used the same Share What You Love DSP and even some scraps of it for these quick and easy cards.  I made several more than the packet will hold so I have them on hand to refill.  Actually this entire project is going to a friend. 🙂

Share What You Love DSP, 146926

The stamp set the Thank You is from is Tropical Chic.  When I used it earlier in the week, I fell in love with the script of the sentiments.  This is a perfect example of why not to throw away your DSP scraps!

Thank you for visiting again today.  I hope you will be back on Monday for some new projects.

Post It Note Plus

I always seem to be looking for something to write on, and usually find several post it note holders laying around.  But for today’s project I have combined a Post It Note holder with a space to keep the 3X3 notecards for a Random Act of Kindness.  Yes an odd pairing, but I have both in my purse anyway.  It is designed to keep your little note cards from getting damaged before you can hand them out.

Share What You Love Designer Series Paper, 146926

It was hard to cut into this gorgeous paper!  However, the thickness of the paper is perfect for this type project.  Usually for these holders they are made of card stock and then another layer on top is decorated.  This specialty paper takes away the need for that additional layer because it would be hard to improve on this beauty!  Here are pictures of the inside.  I used a different pattern from the same DSP package for the envelope to hold the cards.

I definitely do not have the touch with these type projects that my friend and fellow SU Demonstrator Julie DiMatteo does. (The Paper Pixie)  But this one is really easy.  I have included the measurements below.  And if you did not want the addition of the note card holder, it is simple to cut the paper without that added length. Simply make it 3 1/2 X 7 7/8 (or 8).   It holds 3X3 size Post It Notes, and 3X3 notecards in their envelopes.

I added magnets to the project to hold it closed.  This can be done with other means, or not at all.

I appreciate you visiting today and love to read your comments.  The DSP special for July is almost over, and unfortunately this DSP I used is not on the sale list.  Sorry about that.  But remember the JOIN Special gets you 10 FREE Ink Pads!!!

MEASUREMENTS and Directions:  There are many videos on the notepad/pen holder portion of this project if my directions are not clear.

  • Base is 3 1/2 X 12
  • Score at 3 1/8, 3 5/8, 4 1/8, 7 7/8, and 8 1/2
  • Fold and burnish on all of the score lines
  • For the pen slot, fold the first three scored sections so that the center one is up and the other two are touching.  Cut 2 times into the scored sections approximately 1/2 apart.  (You should be able to see how to finish that part from the photo)
  • 3X3 envelope: Begin with a 6X6 piece of matching card stock or DSP
  • Using the Envelope Punch Board, punch and score at the 3″ mark.  Repeat this on all four sides, as you would to make an envelope with the board.
  • Now go back and score only at 2 3/4 on all 4 sides.
  • Fold and burnish all of the score lines.
  • Cut away all 4 of the corners.
  • Adhere the envelope together as you would any envelope.  Round the flap you have chosen for the top.
  • To adhere the envelope to the inside of the top flap of notepad: place your 3X3 cards in their envelopes and place them in this envelope.  (It comfortable holds 3)
  • Place Tear & Tape on the back of the envelope and adhere to the inside of the top flap of your pad holder.

The Greatest

I have found myself using quite a bit more Designer Series Paper in the last few months than I ever have.  I am not sure why, but I am loving all of the DSP in the new Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up!.  They do know how to pick beautiful paper.  Today’s card is carrying on that trend.  I have used the Tropical Escape DSP.

Tropical Chic Bundle, 148339

Since this DSP debuted I have  used more Blushing Bride card stock than in the last several years.  Suddenly it is perfect to pair with several different colors.  Here is my color combination for today.  It came from the DSP of course.

COLOR COMBINATION:

The Granny Apple Green layer is the Bokah Dots stamp set.  I love the look of texture it gives!  For the flower, I used the Blushing Bride Stampin’ Write Marker to color the entire flower.  I then took the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Write Marker and lightly went around the edges and the inner lines.  Mango Melody is the perfect bright color to compliment the others.  The sentiment is stamped in Poppy Parade as well and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch.  The edge is also from the Poppy Parade marker.  I simple ran the side of the brush tip around the edge of the cut out.  Easy Peasy!  Having the matching Framelits for this stamp set makes this a very quick card.  I love that….

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Base Card of Blushing Bride is 4 1/4 X 11
  • Shaded Spruce layer is 5 1/4 X 4
  • DSP layer is 5 3/8 X 3 7/8
  • Blushing Bride small layer is 3 5/8 X 2 1/2
  • Bokah Dots layer is 3 1/2 X 2 3/8

Thank you for stopping by today!  I very  much appreciate it.  Please remember that July is almost over.  Where has the time gone????  But most importantly, the ultimate JOIN promotion is almost over.  Not only do you get the great Starter Kit, but you get 10 FREE Ink Pads.  And to top that off……this is Stampin’ Up!’s 30th Anniversary.  The Demonstrator Convention is going to be in Orlando this November.  By joining my team now, you will be able to register for this sure to be AWESOME event.  WooHoo !!!  If you are at all interested, I would love to talk with you about this great opportunity.
