I will say up front that I made this card a few days ago. I was so surprised when I checked my Stampin’ Up! Up-Line Brian King’s blog yesterday and saw a very similar card. I dd not want you , or him, to think I copied his card. Although it is an acceptable practice and is called CASEing.
Anyway, I made today’s card in response to the Royal Challenge we are doing on our Team Facebook page while Brian is off on the SU Incentive Trip. I also sent it the next day to a couple I met in my travels that own a cattle ranch. I thought of them as soon as I saw this awesome Over The Moon stamp set.
I believe I have said it before, but I think these cows are adorable. I paired the High Tide set with the cow to get the dirt and grass for the field.
The beautiful color I chose is the new In Color Rococo Rose. I think the name is sweet as is the color. The plaid is from the 2019-2021 In Color Paper Stack of 6X6 DSP. I gave it a small border of white to mimic the white showing with the cow.
The cow is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. It was die cut with the Layering Ovals Dies and backed with a scallop die from the Layering Ovals.
Here is a view of the inside and the envelope. I was going cow crazy on this card!
Thank you for visiting today! I really do appreciate it and hope you will return on Monday for more new projects.

I skipped the Royal Challenge yesterday due to the Pals Blog Hop. If you did not go through the Hop, I hope you will do so. There are some great projects. Today the Royal Challenge is “Not A Card”. I love 3D projects, but am not good and creating my own. For the one today I cheated a bit. Not Really!! I created a table centerpiece using the new, and super cute, Mini Shipping Boxes that are in the catalog. I hope you will like it.
I got the idea from the Pop Up Box cards. I created this using the same idea of the cross pieces as used on the pop up box card, and then adhering my flowers to those. It isn’t super good from top view, but you can see the method I used.
I did not add filler to the bottom of the box so that you could see my construction. If this were my table decoration, I would put some green tissue paper in the bottom to help blend the cross pieces that hold the flowers.
I used both of the Daisy punches and punched in Daffodil Delight and the Perennial Essence Vellum. The stems and leaves are punched using dies from the Bouquet Bunch Dies. The tag is from that die set as well. The sentiment on the tag is from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set. All of my adhering besides the green strips in the box are done with glue dots. Glue Dots are my heroes!!
MEASUREMENTS:
For the cross pieces inside the box, the box is 4″ wide. I cut three strips 5 X 3/4 and scored each end at 1/2″. I then folded on the score lines and used Tear & Tape to adhere those to the box inside. Then all of the flowers stems are adhered to those pieces with glue dots.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you liked seeing something a bit different today. All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the post.

Welcome to the Pals’ July Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects that are “Mixing It Up” – adding texture that will really take your projects up a notch – or two! You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I Have gone with the more normal methods of adding texture, with only a small twist to it. The project did not turn out just as I anticipated but sometimes that is ok.
My aim was to give this card a vintage look. I totally adore the Tin Tile Embossing Folder and have since it debuted. I gave it just a bit of a twist by embossing a piece of newsprint designer series paper from the Come Sail Way Designer Series Paper pack. I then used a sponge to add Soft Suede Ink onto the embossed paper for more of the “vintage” look.
I combined a couple of stamp sets for my focal stamped image. The pitcher is from Country Home stamp set and the flowers are from Vibrant Vases. I wanted a simpler flower than what is included in the Country Home set, even though I totally adore those flowers.
I wanted a bright color to pair with the darkness of the background. I found what I wanted in the Terracotta Tile card stock and Ink. Normally it is not really very bright. But pairing it with the brown made it Pop!! Yay!!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 14, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Special Occasions” projects. Don’t miss the fun!
Thank you for stopping by. All of the supplies I used are at the bottom of the page.

The title of today’s challenge is Mixed Media. I believe that can be a variety of things. To me, it means different techniques, and layers. So I have a couple of layers and a little different technique.
I will confess up front that I used the old group of pigment colors and not the new ones. I thought they were the same just in different packaging. Silly me!!! Oh Well! My bit of an odd “technique” could also be called “saving a mess!” I used Shimmery White card stock and wet it thoroughly with an aqua painter. I then sprinkled the pigment powder on the wet surface. Unfortunately, I had been overzealous with the water!! It was in little puddles. So I took two different regular white card stock pieces that were handy and layer them, one at a time, on top of the mess. When I picked them up, the results were very good. This is the second piece I played over top of the mess. It is a tad lighter, but I like the look I got. So the moral of this story is…..don’t give up on your “messes” ! 🙂
After my background dried, I stamped the birds and smaller sailboat on it with Gray Granite Ink. I also stamped the larger one in the same ink but on a scrap piece of paper. I then used the matching die set to cut out the larger boat and the Ships’s wheel.
For more texture and layers, I added the Burlap Ribbon and the White Flax Ribbon in two strips at the bottom section of the card. The stamped piece is raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added one of the metallic pearls to the center of the ship’s wheel. I did not like the hole that is i the center showing.
Again , Thank you very much for stopping by today. I hope you will come back tomorrow. The complete list of supplies is at the bottom of the post.

I hope you had a relaxing and long Holiday! I did some relaxing and some stamping, so I am happy.
I am playing along with my InKing Royalty Challenge in our Facebook group. I have a different challenge to make a card from each day. Today’s challenge is just titled DSP. Well, if you have been following me for any time, you know I LOVE Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper. Using it is not at all a problem for me. But to make it the focal point is a bit more challenging. I hope I have succeeded.
I was hesitant on this DSP when I first saw it. Then after getting it in my little hands , I was shocked at how beautiful it is. The “mosaic” is raised on one side of the sheet and not on the other. The raised areas are just a tad shiny as well. I know you cannot see any of that in the photo.
I used a section of one sheet for this card. The background is the flip side of the birds. I fussy cut the birds from the paper and taped the lower one down. I placed dimensional beneath the upper one to give it some definition.
The sentiment is from Love What You Do stamp set. It is definitely one of my go to stamp sets. I stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Very Vanilla card stock. I then punched the sentiment out with the Everyday Label Punch. Just for a bit of extra, since I did not have a layer for the sentiment piece, I added ribbon behind the sentiment. The ribbon is the new Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. And it is gorgeous!!
Thank you for stopping by today! Please return tomorrow for another new project. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

I have a very Happy card to share today. At least I believe it is one that will make you SMILE! I also added a technique that is not as often used as most.
I believe daisies are just Happy Flowers. They seem to jump off of the card here. I used both the old Daisy Punch and NEW Medium daisy punch today. Each is two punched out flowers layered on top of each other. I also added the Perennial Essence Floral Center to each flower.
The background is Direct Ink To Paper. I simply opened the ink pad and drug it across the face of the Whisper White card stock. When I have shared this technique before, it was done on Glossy card stock. This time I used just regular Whisper White, not even the Thick version.
The two colors I used are Pretty Peacock on the bottom and Seaside Spray on the upper section. I went over it a second time in spots where I had lifted a tad early. I like the light and dark that you get in doing this technique. You do not want to press too hard.
The leaves are from the Daisy Lane Stamp set and are stamped in Granny Apple Green. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I love one stamp set cards!! I stamped the Smile on a scrap of card stock and then only punched one end with the Pretty Label Punch. I accomplished this by placing the piece of card stock inside the cutting area from the back. It was smaller than the punch area, so it was easy to line up top and bottom and then just punch the one end. I love playing with our punches to get different looks!
MEASUREMENTS:
Card base is 11 X 4 1/4
Layer is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
Center layer is 3 7/8 X 3 3/8
White Center is 3 3/4 X 3 1/4

I try to always make a flag card for the July 4th and other Flag related celebrations. Today’s is a mix of stamp sets and not quite as special as some of the past ones.
I used unexpected stamp sets for this one. It includes the Birthday Background and Itty Bitty Birthday, as well as the Twinkle Builder Punch.
I will share the previous year cards as well.
For the background I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Blueberry Bushel and Real Red to color the stamp and repeat it over the card stock. The flag is made by stamping twice in Real Red. The blue is sponged and then I added stars from the Twinkle Builder Punch. I have the complete list of products at the bottom of the post.

I am sharing something a bit different today. I am showing you the June Paper Pumpkin Kit, or at least part of it. In case you do not subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, it is a box of wonderful products that arrives in your mailbox once a month. We do not know ahead of time what is in the box. Generally it is cards with all of the embellishments, glue dots, ink, and a stamp set. The June PP was one I really LOVE!!! It included mini cards to keep in a little folder in your purse. I love having the 3 X 3 cards in my purse to hand out to folks that I appreciate when I am running errands. This little pocket will be wonderful to hold those.
The little blue folder is the holder and these are two of the cards in the kit that I put together. I never make them exactly as the pictures show!
I also made one of my 3 X 3 cards to go in the pouch as well. Here it is.
I made several of this little card for my purse stash. I used the wonderful new Host Rewards Stamp Set named Time For Tags. The stamps match the Timeless Label Punch that is also new.
For this card I used Whisper White as the card base and layered the new 2019-2021 In Color 6 X 6 Designer Paper stack. I stamped the image with Terracotta Tile Ink and then colored it with Stampin’ Blend Markers. To give a little bit of different color behind the tag, I added a Mossy Meadow punch with the Story Label Punch. It partners very well with the Timeless Label Punch.
I hope you will consider making the 3 X 3 cards to have on hand “Just Because”. It is a nice way to hopefully brighten someone’s day. They also are perfect as Gift Tags. And it is easy to match your gift decoration.

I am trying to go back and use stamp sets that have carried over to the new annual catalog and show them some love. Sometimes we get so excited with the New that we forget the really awesome sets. Today I am showcasing Healing Hugs. It is a beautiful flower with some sweet sentiments.
I love these bold colors. I paired Mango Melody with Mossy Meadow. The Layered Leaves Embossing folder really shows off on the darker card stock.
I stamped three of the flowers in Mango Melody. Two are on the white layer and one was on a scrap piece. I fussy cut the third one and them layered it with dimensional to give some definition to the flowers. I know it is a bit difficult to see in the photo.
The sentiment is from another carryover stamp set, Stitched All Around. The lovely Mossy Meadow linen thread is part of a combo ribbon pack. It is named Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo and is part of the Magnolia Suite of products.
Thank you for stopping by today! I would love to hear from you. There are some specials listed further down in the post, as are the complete list of supplies.

My card for today is an oldie but goodie in regard to technique. It is the very easy to do Pinwheel card. There are many versions of this if you check Pinterest. And they have been around for many years. I find that old techniques and new designer series paper, make for beautiful cards. So here is my new version.
I love our new 2019-2021 In Colors! One of my favorites, well truthfully I do love them all, is the Seaside Spray. I used the 2019-2021 6X6 Designer Series Paper Stack of the Incolors as my pinwheel. As I mentioned above there are a variety of ways to achieve this.
Generally you see a layer behind each piece of the pinwheel. Because I used this DSP and it is solid and white only, I decided to leave off the layer and just go with the white layer behind. Each of these pinwheel pieces are 1 1/4 X 1 1/4. (Again, these can be any size and are generally 1″ square with the 1 1/4 square background layer.)
For the background layer I decided to try the Handwritten background stamp. It is a nice change from DSP or an embossing folder background. I used the Seaside Spray card stock with Seaside Spray ink to make this layer.
I kept this a very simple card and did not add a sentiment or my usual embellishments. My only extra was the large Basic Pearl to the center of the pinwheel.
I would love to see your versions of this card if you decide toggle it a try. Please tag me if you do!!
Measurements:
Base card is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2
First layer is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
5 1/4 X 4
White layer 3 1/2 X 3 1/2
Each pinwheel 1 1/4 X 1 1/4
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day and will return tomorrow for another new project!
