You Are Wonderful

Stampin’ Up! has a new Early Release Product Suite that I wanted to share with you.  I know if you are on the internet you have seen several projects from other demonstrators using this suite.  It is gorgeous and I wanted to share and quick card I made using the Designer Series Paper that is included in this suite.  You know I love the Stampin’ Up! DSP !

Before we get to the card, here is the flyer for the suite of products.

And here is the card I have made.

Stampin' Up!, Ornate Garden, Ornate Frames, Perfectly Framed, Daisy Lane, Jackie Beers

There are gorgeous and very detailed dies as part of the Ornate Garden Suite of products.  However, I had it in my mind to use the Perfectly Framed sentiment.  And since that stamp set pairs with the Ornate Frames Dies that carried over from the Holiday Catalog, I decided to go with my original plan.

When I first saw this Designer Series paper, I thought of the two daisy stamp sets that are in the Annual Catalog.  I looked at both and thought the Daisy Lane stamp set was a perfect match.  The angled daisy matches the daisy in the DSP.

I layered my card with colors from the DSP.  I know that is a big shock to you!!  I always do that.  I chose the Old Olive as the card base and then went with Rococo Rose for the coordinating color.  The DSP says it is Terracotta Tile, but I found that the Rococo Rose was a perfect match as well.  I used the Rococo Rose stampin’ Blends to color the daisy on the sentiment band.

Thank you for stopping in today.  Let’s all pray that this virus is over quicker than expected and we can all take back our lives.  I love staying inside and crafting, but I know there are many people feeling huge hardships from this.

Hello Sunshine

My card for today is in appreciation for us getting sunshine for the next several days!  I had a few cards made since I’ve been isolating myself.  But with the gorgeous weather, it inspired me to make one to celebrate the clear sky.

Before I get to today’s project, I want to make sure you have seen the Third, and final, release for Sale-A-Bration.  We only have a few days left and this is the extra ones through the end.  You must use the numbers assigned to this Final Release and not the numbers for these items that are in the catalogs.

All are Level 1 ($50.00) except the Butterly Punch and the Wild Rose Dies .  They are Level 2 (100.00)

The Numbers are:

  • Dinoroar DSP:155882
  • Follow Your Art DSP: 155880
  • Mini Shipping Boxes (X2): 155879
  • Red Rhinestones (X2): 155878
  • Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack: 155885
  • Shimmer Details Laser Cut Specialty DSP: 155884
  • Woven Threads DSP:  155883
  • Butterfly Duet Punch: 155877
  • Wild Rose Dies: 155886

Ok…  Now on to today’s card.  Are you thinking Bright

Sunshine?

You got the Bright part correct. I love bright colors and the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper fits the bill perfectly.  I have had this “frame” from that striped piece in my brain for a while.  I just could not get it to work out on paper.  It still isn’t what I envisioned, but this is what I ended up with.  After I had everything together, it hit me to miter the corners of my striped frame.  Just a tad too late for that on this one.

The idea for the card was HOPEFULLY saying farewell to the umbrellas and rain boots for a while!!

I have used three different pieces of the Pleased As Punch DSP.  The umbrella is punched from the umbrella piece using the Umbrella Builder Punch that is part of the Under My Umbrella Bundle.  The Boots are stamped onto the flower piece that pairs with the Small Flower Punch in SAB and is going to carry over to the next catalog.  And of course the border which is the multi stripe piece.

The umbrella punched out but the boots were stamped in Gray Granite on the DSP and then fussy cut using my Paper Snips.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Under My Umbrella.  It is stamped in Balmy Blue (just like the beautiful clear sky!).  Those layers are the  1 3/8 scalloped circle punch and the  1 1/4 circle punch.

I almost went with the Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon, but decided the Gray Granite version played off of the gray outline of the rain boots.  I tied a double bow using the 1/8″ Whisper White Sheer Ribbon.

Thank you for visiting today.  Please come back tomorrow for another new project.

Blossoms

Today I am sharing one of the New Release Sale-A-Bration Items.  It is subtle on the card, and that is a great definition of the item.  Have you guessed what it is?  Yes, It is the So Very Vellum.  And it is more beautiful in person.  I love the soft colors.

The vellum comes with this embossing already done for you.   All of the sheets have the same embossing.  The vellum I chose for the background is the Soft Sea Foam one.  I used the Highland Heather Vellum for the flowers.  They are die cut using the Dies from Forever Blossoms Bundle.  The embossed vellum gives an added definition to the petals.

The stamp is from the Forever Blossoms stamp set.  It also is die cut using the bundled dies.  That is such a great focal point for any design you could come up with.

I stamped in Smoky Slate Ink and then colored with Soft Sea Foam and Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends.  For the bow, I used the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  It is simply wonderful to work with.  I don’t usually do multiple loops with ribbon, but this is so silky and thin I went for it.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I have new projects each day to share with you.  And this coming Wednesday is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop, you will not want to miss that.

Sale-A-Bration is heading towards the final month.  Please don’t miss out on a great opportunity to get an awesome amount of product for very little money!  And the fun of joining my team, as well as InKing Royalty.  We share a great community of stampers and you could be part of it!!

A Little Rain

I was so happy when Fable Friends carried over to the new Annual Catalog.  It reminds me of the childrens fairy tales of my youth.  Another of our Facebook challenges last week was simple an Animal.  I debated for just a minute and then went with the Goose from Fable Friends.

I paired a couple of stamp sets to make this card.  I love that the Goose is wearing a raincoat, so that was my starting point.  I wanted to give her a bright and cheery coat to wear in the rain.

I paired High Tide to get the puddled water and the grass.  The rain came from Birthday Backgrounds, and the sentiment from Love What You Do.

I used the Stitched Rectangle Framelits for the sign.  This is the trick again of cutting it out with the die leaving the excess length towards one end.   Then re-inserting it to the point you need for the proper length.  The stitching makes this so easy to do, as you simply press the stitches back onto the die.  That way you know it is lined up properly.

Cow Love

I will say up front that I made this card a few days ago.  I was so surprised when I checked my Stampin’ Up! Up-Line Brian King’s blog yesterday and saw a very similar card.  I dd not want you , or him, to think I copied his card.  Although it is an acceptable practice and is called CASEing.

Anyway, I made today’s card in response to the Royal Challenge we are doing on our Team Facebook page while Brian is off on the SU Incentive Trip.  I also sent it the next day to a couple I met in my travels that own a cattle ranch.  I thought of them as soon as I saw this awesome Over The Moon stamp set.

I believe I have said it before, but I think these cows are adorable.  I paired the High Tide set with the cow to get the dirt and grass for the field.

The beautiful color I chose is the new In Color Rococo Rose.  I think the name is sweet as is the color.  The plaid is from the 2019-2021 In Color Paper Stack of 6X6 DSP.  I gave it a small border of white to mimic the white showing with the cow.

The cow is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends.  It was die cut with the Layering Ovals Dies and backed with a scallop die from the Layering Ovals.

Here is a view of the inside and the envelope.  I was going cow crazy on this card!

Thank you for visiting today!  I really do appreciate it and hope you will return on Monday for more new projects.

Beautiful

Today’s card is showcasing the gorgeous Painted Season stamp set.  If you do not have this set, I strongly suggest you think about it quickly.  It goes away at the end of the month.  I apologize that the photos do not do the definition on the stamps justice.  It is one of the prettiest flowers that is in the Stampin’ Up! products right now.

Painted Season 149722

As I said above, the photo is not quite clear enough to see the great detail on the flower.  So you will have to trust me.  The other stamps are just as defined.  The leaves I stamped here are in Soft Sea Foam, so they really do not show up well in the photo.  Sorry about that.

This card is done with a technique I have not used in many years.  It goes back to my beginning in stamping and is tearing the paper.  Did you ever make cards with that touch added to them?  For this one I tore a piece of copy paper to lay across the Whisper White piece.  I then stamped the images over the paper.  After I removed the torn piece, I came back and stamped the sentiment and little leaves on each end of it.

The sentiment is from Flowering Desert and just seemed to strike me as perfect.  I thought of these flowers as beautiful from the first one I stamped.  So of course when I saw the sentiment, I knew it was the one to use.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Please come back tomorrow as it is an InKing Royalty Blog Hop!  I know you will not want to miss the great projects that will be showcased by all my fellow team members.  And as always, the complete product list is at the bottom of the page.
