Beauty of The Season for Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals monthly blog hop. We’re so glad you’re here! December is time for glitz and bling with  “All that Sparkles & Shines”. Today we feature projects that sparkle or shine. Maybe even a little of both.

You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I have a very glittery gift card holder for you today.  I do not normally use a lot of the glitter paper, but I can not think of a better time to bring it out than at Christmas.  I CASED Dawn Griffith’s Tri Fold Gift Card Holder to make this great project.  It is pretty, quick, and easy.  The amount of time you need to make this one just depends on how much stamping you want to do.  I went with more bling, and less stamping.

The left side tucks under the sentiment for a closure.  Here is a picture of that.

And here is the inside of the holder.

Note: Here is the LINK to Dawn’s video for her gift card holder and the basic measurements..

I went with Merry Merlot and the Noel Glitter DSP to make my version of this great holder.  The sentiment and stamping that is behind the gift card are from the “Merry Christmas To All” stamp set.  The tree on the inside of the small section is from my favorite set, “Timeless Tidings”.  I have used that tree so many times!!

I really kept my stamping to a minimum to allow the glitter to shine.  I hope you will give this cute idea a try.  The decorations and plus / minus layers are what really makes it yours.  I know that I will be using this basic design for a lot of gift card giving occasions.  It could be easily made feminine or masculine with just the DSP and the stamps.

Thank you for hopping by today.  I hope you will return tomorrow for another project.  All of my supplies are listed at the bottom of the post.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s hoppers. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, January 9, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share projects “From the Heart”. Don’t miss the fun.

Merry & Bright for GDP168

I have a simple and Very Bright card for the Case The Designer at Global Design Project168.  The CASE card is a simple wreath on a white card.  I have a simple wreath on a very bright background for my card.

Making Christmas Bright, 148046

As I said, my card is Bright!!  However, it was a very easy card to stamp.   The strip of lights is not the complete strip from the set.  I used markers to color only enough to spread across the wreath.  A little tip for you to keep in mind.  The sentiment is stamped on a strip of paper from trimming the layers of a previous card.  And the bow is from the Hung With Care host stamp set.  It is cut away from the wooden shoes the are part of the hanging stockings.  All of it was easy peasy!!

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you will return tomorrow for the Pals Blog Hop.  There are always great inspirations to be found in those hops.

Kindness

I hope everyone is safe and well after the nasty weather of the weekend.  We were very lucky and did not get the ice that was expected.

Today’s card is a quick and easy one that could be done with almost any stamp set and designer paper.  I used the awesome Share What You Love Designer Series Paper.  I really do love that paper!!

Stampin' Up!, Enjoy Life, Share What You Love, Jackie Beers

Enjoy Life, 148190

I did a different pairing of colors than I have done previously.  I paired Coastal Cabana with Tranquil Tide. I was attempting to bring out the lighter / brighter blue in the DSP.  The positioning of the sentiment is totally to show off the beautiful DSP.  And I really like it in the corner, as opposed to centered.  Not your normal positioning and I like that as well.

I hope you liked my quick and easy card.  Please return tomorrow for a new project.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Beautiful Wishes

I have taken another holiday card break today.  We need birthday cards year round.  It was also a great time to go back to the Annual Catalog for a great stamp set.

Beautiful Bouquet, 143666

The Beautiful Bouquet stamp set, with matching framelits, has a lot of stamps to choose from.  I went very simple on this card.  And decided on just a single flower or stem.  I do love the Highland Heather for this flower.  It may not be true to nature, but I think it is gorgeous.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you like a quick and easy card that is easy to stamp or make quick changes to.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Hoppy Thursday

Sorry I am late today.  I was fighting with the Year End Closeout links.  As you can tell if you have been following me for any length of time, I am not a whiz at computer technology!!! Yikes.   But I hope the awesome sale prices will be worth the wait.

Another great thing is that you can now order the Stamparatus Carry Bag.  I have had the icon at the bottom of the post for a few weeks now.  Well the time is here.  And it is really the perfect bag for your Stamparatus, plus other uses as well.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Now for today’s card.  It is another Sneak Peek of the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.  Did the Blog Title give it away?  Of course it did…. Frogs!!!

Stampin' Up!, So Hoppy Together, Animal Expedition, Jackie Beers

Animal Expedition DSP 146902

Aren’t the little frogs adorable?  I believe they will be the same big hit that last year’s SAB Pandas were.  The name of the stamp set is So Hoppy Together.  I linked to the DSP, because the graph for the stamp set is not available yet.  I will update once I can get that link.

BUT….do you see how wonderfully it pairs with the Animal Expedition DSP?  There are several pieces in that pack of paper which pair beautifully with this set. Hint, Hint….

Thank you so much for stopping by this morning.  I hope you will check back tomorrow.  I will be on time in the morning.

Grateful for scraps

Once again I have been playing with the pieces of scrap paper on my desk.  We all have those little strips or scraps that we have punched something from.  I really do try to keep it neat, but I do not always succeed (well, rarely succeed!).  Today’s card is more of the leftovers.

Country Home, 147678

Today’s layout is one of the easy to use classics.  Even if you do not like the card, please make note of the layout.

My background banner piece is actually a sneak peek of a DSP in the upcoming 2019 Occasions Catalog.  it is from a make ‘n take we had at OnStage that I did not make.  I believe the card called for the opposite side of this piece, but I loved the vibrancy of this side better.  I may have stamped my piece too similar to the print of the DSP.  The strip of white is stamped on with First Frost stamp set for the flower.  A definite “Keeper” set.  The little leaf is from Peaceful Noel.  It added just enough of a soft touch.

The sentiment is one of my all time favorites from the Country Home set.  That set will for sure be staying with me, and I really hope it carries over to the 2019 Annual Catalog.  It is a very versatile set with awesome sentiments.

Thank you for stopping by today!  All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page.  I hope your day is amazing!
