Birthday Daisy

WooHoo!!  It is November 1st.  Do you know what that means?  You can order the new Paper Trimmer today!  The Christmastime Is Here Suite is also available.

I have a quick Birthday card to share today.  I am back to the annual catalog and the Daisy Lane stamp set.

I am so happy the way these daisies turned out.  I stamped them with Merry Merlot Ink, and then sponged them with the same ink again to give a variegated look.  I used both of the sizes of Daisy punches for this project.  The center daisy is fussy cut.  For a touch of glitter, I added the Glitter Enamel Dots to the center of each flower.  I also added a couple to the background as well.

The background is the fern / leaf from the stamp set.  I stamped it full strength and some stamped off to show the depth.  The Whisper White panel is cut using the Stitched Rectangle dies.  For the background I used a back side of one of the Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper.  I love this music sheet look.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will return on Monday for another new project.

Halloween Hello

I had to make a Halloween card for my Trick or Treat friends.  I also tried a different layout that I really love and will definitely be giving it a go with other seasonal designs soon.

Stampin' Up!, tags tags tags, Jackie Beers, Spooktacular Bash

I used three different pieces of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper for this layout.  The star of the card though is the adorable tags.  They are from the Tags, Tags, Tags stamp set.  There are three tags for Halloween, three tags for Christmas, and three tags for Valentine.  The stamp is connected so it stamps all three at one time.  Then the matching dies cut all three tags at once.  What a deal!!

Here is a view of the inside of the card:

On the left side is the third of the tags.  The Whisper White sentiment layer is hidden from view by the front square.  I made it a smidgen smaller so it is easier to hide.  The sentiment is from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp set.  It has such cute sentiments.

Measurements:

  • 5 3/4 X 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
  • inside layer is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
  • inside DSP is 5 1/4 X 4
  • front left layer is 5 3/8 X 1 3/8
  • front DSP is 5 1/4 X 1 1/4
  • front center layer is 3 1/4 X 3 1/4
  • front DSP is 3 1/8 X 3 1/8
  • inside center is 3 X 3

Tomorrow is November 1 ! Wow, where has the time gone?  Best of all though, the two items under updates are available for customer orders!!!  You can order the Paper Trimmer and the Christmastime Is Here products.

Merry Moose

Today’s card is a winter card as much as for Christmas.  I love mixing the stamps and designer series paper to make cards that are for more than a season.   This one works as a masculine card as well.

Who doesn’t love a Moose with a scarf?  LOL!!  I wanted to give him a softer look and decided I did not want to fussy cut the scarf in the stamp set.  I adore the Braided Linen Thread and thought the extra piece as a scarf worked.

The trees are from the Merry Moose Bundle as well.  I stamped them once full strength and then again before re-inking to get the different shades of green.  The one on the far left is stamped a third time without re-inking.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I have a cute Halloween card to share tomorrow for Trick or Treat day!

Christmas Rose

The Christmas Rose products will be available for customer orders beginning on November 1st.  As will the new Paper Trimmer.  I thought I would share a project with the Christmas Rose stamp set.  This is so pretty and would work for other than Christmas.  The stamp set has two cases.  There is the single stamp, which is what I used today, in Red Rubber.  The second case holds several stamps and they are in photopolymer.  They can be used to add color to the large stamp I have used.  I chose to color mine with Stampin’ Blends instead.

I stamped the large image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it using a variety of the Stampin’ Blends.  I colored the roses with Poppy Parade and used that card stock as the base and layer of the card.  The Designer Series Paper you see is from the Christmastime Is Here DSP.  I wanted a sort of subtle background for the rose.  This paper reminds me of old fashioned wallpaper.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2
  • White is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
  • DSP is 5 1/4 X 4
  • Poppy Parade is 4 3/4 X 3 3/4
  • White is 4 5/8 X 3 5/8

Thank you for stopping by today!  Please return again tomorrow for another new project.

Irises

The card I am sharing today is quick, easy, and adaptable.  I made a couple of this card with different occasions.  I only put the sentiment on the outside for this one.  It is the Thank You card.  I also used it as a Birthday and a Sympathy card.  This stamp set is simply a wonderful set to  have in your stash.

This stamp set is Inspiring Iris.  It is a two step stamp.  Which makes giving it the color you want so very easy.  I stamped the image three times in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I then stamped the flower in Highland Heather and the leaves and stems with Old Olive.  And that is it!

For the background I used the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder on Old Olive card stock.  I thought it paired perfectly with the flowers.  I love using an embossing folder in place of Designer Series Paper as a change up of my cards.  I know I have been overwhelming you with DSP lately.

The “Thanks” in the upper left corner is a stamp in the Inspiring Iris stamp set.  I added a pearl by the sentiment and on the center of the flowers just for a bit of extra texture and a little bling.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Please come back tomorrow for another new project.

UPDATE:  I updated my text with the new paper trimmer below, but I am mentioning here as well.  Stampin’ Up! has announced that it will be available for customer orders on November 1st!  WooHoo!!  I have been using mine for all of my cutting as a test of the blades.  I love it and it is still cutting beautifully!

SUPPLIES:

Nautical Smile

I have another card with the Nautical Theme for you today.  I shared one a couple of weeks ago.  You can see that card HERE.    I have to take a break from the holiday themes occasionally for birthdays and other card needs.

The Designer Series Paper is the star of this card, as is the case with quite a few of my cards.  This one is the Come Sail Away DSP.  I paired it with the Sailing Home stamp set for the lighthouse.  The large SMILE comes from the Daisy Lane stamp set.

The measurements are:

  • 5 1/2 X 8 1/2,  5 3/8 X 4 1/8, 5 1/4 X 4 for the base and main layers
  • 4 7/8 X 2 1/8 , 4 3/4 X 2 for the rope DSP layer
  • 3 3/4 X 2 1/8, 3 1/4 X 2 for the lighthouse layer

Thank you for stopping by today.  Please return on Monday for a week of more new projects.  I hope you have a great weekend.
