I have finally broken out the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and OH MY !!! I am in love!! These are now my favorite Layering Framelits. Be warned, I will be using these often I believe! And I played with the Home To Roost rooster from Sale-A-Bration. I have seen some beautifully colored roosters, as well as some just stamped roosters. I like the look of both. Today though, I went with a brightly colored rooster.
Rectangle Stitched Framelits, 148551
I was not so sure about this guy at first. We had a rooster show up in our neighborhood last year. And he was a pain. (I live in a subdivision and not in the country!) So I was not too fond of chickens after that. I am over it due to this cute fellow. I now LOVE him! And I am very happy with the coloring and how it works with the card stock layers. I wasn’t sure on the colors at first, I am sure this is not a normal looking rooster! But the bright layers of card stock makes the rooster pop. Plus it gives the opportunity to see the beautiful Rectangle Stitched Framelits in action!!
To give a bit of texture to the white around the rooster, I used the splatter stamp from Beauty Abounds. I love using small background stamps to add texture or just to soften up the stark white sometimes. The sentiment also came from Beauty Abounds.
A last note about these framelits, They put stitching on the layer it cuts out, but also on the piece that is left. Sort of a two for one deal! And we love those….. For these layers, I used the largest die, skipped one, used the next die, skipped one, and used the next die. I had planned on three consecutive sizes but when I saw how close together they would be, I opted for more card stock showing.

Butterfly Gala Bundle, 150599
How cute is this? And with FREE Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper (Botanical Butterfly DSP), you just cannot do better. I chose the Lemon Lime Twist as the base color because I did this card with my Stamp Club. Of all of the colors of butterflies, the Lemon Lime Twist was the most prevalent. Since I used all of the two sheets with this pattern I went with simplest to match.
For the little butterflies, they also came from this same DSP, just a different sheet. And I LOVE punches for quick and easy. It was super simple for my ladies to punch the butterflies and add to their cards.
I hope you will give this layout a try. Any DSP that Stampin’ Up! has would work in this configuration. I will suggest that you stamp the underneath sentiment prior to adhering the paper. Can you guess why I know that? LOL!!
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another quick and easy project. Today I have another card using Retiring Products. I have included some retiring designer series paper as well as a stamp set. The set has been great for small cards. I used it several times for Fall Thank You cards and some table decorations. I also adore the name of this stamp set, Many Blessings! The sentiments in the set reflect that name too, which is part of what makes the different pieces so versatile. Here is my project for today.
Many Blessings, 147775
And after mentioning the cute sentiments, I did not put one on the front of the card. Duh! I love this gorgeous Country Lane Designer Series Paper. Especially these two which are Blackberry Bliss. For me at least I find myself preferring the “back side” of the DSP as much as the fronts. I think of them as having backs and fronts, doesn’t everyone? LOL!
I was showcasing the DSP as well as the cute stamp, so the card is fairly simple. I stamped the image in Gray Granite and colored it with the Stampin’ Blends. I finished with going over the flowers and pot with Wink of Stella to give it a little shine.
Thank you so much for visiting today. I hope you have enjoyed these last minute cards. The 2019 Occasions Catalog and the 2019 Sale-A-Bration Catalogs go live tomorrow! I know I have a long list and hope you do as well. If you need catalogs, and do not currently have a demonstrator, I would love for you to reach out to me. I can get one to you quickly.
I have the measurements for today’s card just below this and the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.
I am playing along with the Global Design Project Sketch Challenge 170 today. I love the different placement of the sentiment. Or in this case, the divided sentiment. Here is my project.
Lasting Lily (SAB), 149717
I changed the orientation my card, and I am now a fan of this split sentiment. I will be doing this in different forms soon. I went with soft colors for this card. And yes, I consider the Crumb Cake a soft color when paired when these colors. The Neutral Collection, for the most part, are flexible like that.
I have paired a Sale-A-Bration stamp set with one of the 2019 Occasions Catalog new Designer Series Paper and ribbon. I love the paper and ribbon in the catalog and this is one of the prettiest. The ribbon is a combo pack of Flirty Flamingo in 1/8″ and Lovely Lipstick in 1/2″ widths.
The stamp set is a FREE with $100.00 purchase. I know that sounds expensive, but you get 16 stamps in the set. There is a large ,and this small flower, and several sentiments in beautiful fonts. I am a sucker for fonts!! So Please do not overlook this awesome set.
Thank you so much for visiting today. We are expecting a lot of rain for the next several days, so I hope to be creating new projects for next week to share with you. And as always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the page.
I hope you enjoyed your Holiday!! For me it was very relaxing, but then I do not have children ,at least not the two legged variety 🙂 !
Today I am sharing the beautiful Sale-A-Bration Butterfly Designer Series Paper. All of the products, at least the majority, are new products from either Sale-A-Bration or the Occasions Catalog. You all should be receiving your new catalogs any day now. If you are in need of one, and do not currently have a demonstrator, please contact me. I would love to get one in the mail to you.

Thank you for visiting today. I have included the complete supply list at the bottom of the page.
I hope everyone is safe and well after the nasty weather of the weekend. We were very lucky and did not get the ice that was expected.
Today’s card is a quick and easy one that could be done with almost any stamp set and designer paper. I used the awesome Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. I really do love that paper!!
Enjoy Life, 148190
I did a different pairing of colors than I have done previously. I paired Coastal Cabana with Tranquil Tide. I was attempting to bring out the lighter / brighter blue in the DSP. The positioning of the sentiment is totally to show off the beautiful DSP. And I really like it in the corner, as opposed to centered. Not your normal positioning and I like that as well.
I hope you liked my quick and easy card. Please return tomorrow for a new project. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
