Before I get to today’s card, I wanted to remind you that the EXTRA days of Stampin’ Up! Recruiting Promotion is almost over. It ends on the 31st. I LOVE being a Stampin’ Up! I would love to talk with you and tell you all the reasons I love it. Plus, you have some great bonuses for joining now. They are all listed after today’s project.
Ok, on to the card. This card is a simple project that would work for several occasions. I just named it Happy, because it makes me smile. It is just a sweet themed card in my opinion.
Doesn’t the bears make you just say “Oohhhh”. They are simply adorable. I almost named it “I need a Hug”! That would be a sweet reasons to send someone a card is when you want to give them a hug and say it will get better.
I chose the designer series paper after considering the bears as Panda Bears. The leaves made me think of bamboo. It is from the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper and is full of beautiful green patterns.
It may be a bit difficult to see from the photo, but I used the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend to color the stamped shading areas. I wanted to leave it more of a Pen and Ink look. The ribbon is the Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon. It is gorgeous with just a bit of shimmer to it. A little tip on the ribbon: I cut the ribbon about 3/4″ wider on each side than the card. I then add adhesive to the back and tape the ribbon down. Now I make a little bow and use a glue dot to hold it in the appropriate place. This is so much easier, at least for me, than trying to tie a bow while keeping tension on the ribbon. Plus you do not use near as much ribbon!
Thank you so very much for stopping by today. I really appreciate it and please return tomorrow for the InKing Royalty Blog Hop.

Before I get to the project for today, I wanted to give you a heads up. I am going to be on vacation for the next two weeks. Some friends and I are going on another Riverboat Cruise. I had hoped to have some cards made ahead of time, but as usual my plan did not go exactly as intended. The hubby and cats will be here to hold down the fort, but none of them will make cards to share with you unfortunately. I hope you are a follower of my Facebook page, BlueLineStamping. I will post some pictures on there while I am traveling. If you subscribe to my blog, then you will receive my email post when I am back. I should be posting again on August 12.
I have a One Stamp Set Card with just stamping to share with you today. You know I love one stamp set cards, and this one is super quick and easy.
I paired the beautiful Woven Heirloom stamp set with Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose, and a stamped off Sahara Sand. I added the Faceted Dots from the 2019-2021 In Colors for a touch of texture. And that is a super easy card.
Thank you for stopping by today. I have listed to products I used at the bottom of the post. I hope you will mark your calendar and return in two weeks. Or better yet, go to the subscribe button on the right side of the tool bar and enter your email address. That way you will get the email letting you see my posts first thing.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around SUNSHINE. The Sun is the single most important source of energy for life on Earth – it guides our clocks, calendars and planting schedules. We may be enduring a heat wave this week, but we still associate the Sun with positivity, joy and renewal. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Looking through my stamps for a “sunshine” idea was a bit difficult. I realized there is only one or two possible “sun” shapes and almost no sentiments. How can that be??? But I finally found the sentiment that spoke to me and made a card to match the sentiment. I understand that is a bit of an odd way of going about things, so I hope you like my final product.
When I made my card, I had not seen the opening paragraph that Brian wrote for this hop. It seems to go right along with the sentiment I chose. WooHoo!!!
I love the Country Road stamp set and was very happy that it was a carryover to the new catalog. The pieces in it are perfect for a collage type card. And the grass/weeds are wonderful in the background. They are even slightly slanted for that “wind at your back” theme in the sentiment.
I sponged the background of the card using the Stampin’ Sponges and soft colors. The sun is pretty bright made using Pineapple Punch. The sky is Seaside Spray and the grass background is Pear Pizzaz. I did not want the grass to be overly dark so the grass/weeds in Crumb Cake would show more.
The sentiment is also from the Country Road stamp set. The layered sentiment section is from the Frosted Bouquet Framelits. Both pieces are included. I added four of the Metallic Pearls for some rustic look to my sign. The Braided Linen Thread seemed the perfect finishing touch.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the bloghop, Jan Dufour at Stamp Me Silly. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:

Welcome to the Pals’ July Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects that are “Mixing It Up” – adding texture that will really take your projects up a notch – or two! You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I Have gone with the more normal methods of adding texture, with only a small twist to it. The project did not turn out just as I anticipated but sometimes that is ok.
My aim was to give this card a vintage look. I totally adore the Tin Tile Embossing Folder and have since it debuted. I gave it just a bit of a twist by embossing a piece of newsprint designer series paper from the Come Sail Way Designer Series Paper pack. I then used a sponge to add Soft Suede Ink onto the embossed paper for more of the “vintage” look.
I combined a couple of stamp sets for my focal stamped image. The pitcher is from Country Home stamp set and the flowers are from Vibrant Vases. I wanted a simpler flower than what is included in the Country Home set, even though I totally adore those flowers.
I wanted a bright color to pair with the darkness of the background. I found what I wanted in the Terracotta Tile card stock and Ink. Normally it is not really very bright. But pairing it with the brown made it Pop!! Yay!!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, August 14, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Special Occasions” projects. Don’t miss the fun!

The title of today’s challenge is Mixed Media. I believe that can be a variety of things. To me, it means different techniques, and layers. So I have a couple of layers and a little different technique.
I will confess up front that I used the old group of pigment colors and not the new ones. I thought they were the same just in different packaging. Silly me!!! Oh Well! My bit of an odd “technique” could also be called “saving a mess!” I used Shimmery White card stock and wet it thoroughly with an aqua painter. I then sprinkled the pigment powder on the wet surface. Unfortunately, I had been overzealous with the water!! It was in little puddles. So I took two different regular white card stock pieces that were handy and layer them, one at a time, on top of the mess. When I picked them up, the results were very good. This is the second piece I played over top of the mess. It is a tad lighter, but I like the look I got. So the moral of this story is…..don’t give up on your “messes” ! 🙂
After my background dried, I stamped the birds and smaller sailboat on it with Gray Granite Ink. I also stamped the larger one in the same ink but on a scrap piece of paper. I then used the matching die set to cut out the larger boat and the Ships’s wheel.
For more texture and layers, I added the Burlap Ribbon and the White Flax Ribbon in two strips at the bottom section of the card. The stamped piece is raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also added one of the metallic pearls to the center of the ship’s wheel. I did not like the hole that is i the center showing.
Again , Thank you very much for stopping by today. I hope you will come back tomorrow. The complete list of supplies is at the bottom of the post.

I have a very Happy card to share today. At least I believe it is one that will make you SMILE! I also added a technique that is not as often used as most.
I believe daisies are just Happy Flowers. They seem to jump off of the card here. I used both the old Daisy Punch and NEW Medium daisy punch today. Each is two punched out flowers layered on top of each other. I also added the Perennial Essence Floral Center to each flower.
The background is Direct Ink To Paper. I simply opened the ink pad and drug it across the face of the Whisper White card stock. When I have shared this technique before, it was done on Glossy card stock. This time I used just regular Whisper White, not even the Thick version.
The two colors I used are Pretty Peacock on the bottom and Seaside Spray on the upper section. I went over it a second time in spots where I had lifted a tad early. I like the light and dark that you get in doing this technique. You do not want to press too hard.
The leaves are from the Daisy Lane Stamp set and are stamped in Granny Apple Green. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I love one stamp set cards!! I stamped the Smile on a scrap of card stock and then only punched one end with the Pretty Label Punch. I accomplished this by placing the piece of card stock inside the cutting area from the back. It was smaller than the punch area, so it was easy to line up top and bottom and then just punch the one end. I love playing with our punches to get different looks!
MEASUREMENTS:
Card base is 11 X 4 1/4
Layer is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
Center layer is 3 7/8 X 3 3/8
White Center is 3 3/4 X 3 1/4
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will return on Monday for more new projects. Please check out the information below on the Bonus Days and the current Join Promotion.
