Welcome to InKing Royalty’s January Blog Hop! We are having so much fun with our new Sale-a-Bration products and are excited to share some of that fun with you today. This month’s projects feature papers or stamp sets (or both!) from Stampin’ Up!’s January – February 2022 Sale-a-Bration brochure. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I really look forward to Sale-a-Bration each time. This current SAB is awesome and I definitely have a favorite of the paper and stamp set. So I am using them both on today’s card.
Stamps
My favorite stamp set from SAB is the Driving By set. I love the three vehicles. And they are all Fun cars. By stamping the images onto the DSP creates even more Fun! Yes, I had to fussy cut them because there is not a matching die, but that is fine. The look is well worth the little bit of time it took. I did cut off the balloons from the sports car. They did not fit the mood I was going for. I had seen a card with the vehicles stamped onto the DSP and knew I had to make one.
To get the sentiment I needed, I went to the A Wish For Everything stamp set. The words are individual so you can make your own sentiment. This made it super easy to stamp the “Wishing You A Happy, Happy, Happy Day”.
Paper and Punch
I am sure that you have identified the gorgeous DSP. It is the bright and happy Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper. I love bright colors and this pack of 6X6 paper really works for me. Of course, if you prefer more subtle patterns, it can fit that as well. The opposite sides are softer colors like the one I used for the Clouds. I do not think I have ever used five different pieces of DSP before. This may be a personal record!
The cloud was simply a “lightbulb” moment. I had the punch laying on my desk and was sort of looking while I was thinking for what to do with a sentiment. My consciousness came back when I realized I was looking at the answer. It may be a bit out of the norm, but that is totally ok with me. I finished each cloud with one of the Irridescent Rhinestones for a bit of bling.

To pair with the Winter theme from yesterday, I have another Winter card to share with you. This one is more of snow and trees. The idea for this card was from the paper. It is the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper. I love this pack of great designs and color of paper, but find I have not been using it.
Paper
The blue trees of the DSP is what set the tone of this card. Because of the DSP, I did an unusual mix of Misty Moonlight and Soft Succulent. And it makes me happy to say that I love this coordination! The focal tree is also stamped in Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen, with some snowflakes in Balmy Blue. But the DSP reminds me of a snowy night scene!
Stamps
The stamped tree is from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set. It pairs with the paper, and was the perfect tree for my snow scene. For the sentiment, I went with the new Flowing Flowers stamp set. I love that “Time For A Happy Dance”. It reminds me of childhood when it snowed! Just to be different, I fussy cut around the sentiment. Then I layered it onto a scrap of Misty Moonlight and followed my first fussy cutting to create the layer. As a finishing touch, I used the Navy Bakers Twine from the Fan Bakers Twine pack to create the ribbon and bow.

The idea for today’s post is somewhat humorous. I live in Georgia and we do not get a lot of Winter. The temperature goes up and down with some fairly cold mixed in. But most of the time our winters are pleasant. Today’s card if for the Make My Monday Challenge and the theme is Winter. Well…..by the time this post is live on Monday, assuming forecasts are correct, we will have had a Snowy, Icy, day. So no more Winter Themes for me!!! LOL!!
The Make My Monday Challenge can be reached by clicking on the picture. You can see the Winter cards made by the other Design Team Members and add your own card if you wish.
The Paper
I wish I could say that I created that beautiful scene. But sadly, I did not. It is from the new and awesome New Horizons Designer Series Paper in the Mini Catalog. In my mind, and in thinking of Winter, I see this scene as a frozen pond or a snowy field. By using different stamps it could be a totally different scene / time of year. All of these papers are this fabulous!!
The Stamps and Dies
The On The Horizon Bundle is a match to the great paper. These stamps are designed to be stamped onto the paper for scenery as I have made. I did use the birds and the wood piece for the sentiment from the stamp set. There is a matching die for the wood piece. To help my scene look a bit more like winter, I added the trees on the bottom right. They are from my favorite Christmas set in the Annual Catalog, Perfectly Plaid.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop in 2022! This month, the theme is Sale-A-Bration. We really hope that you enjoy and will be inspired by them! As you hop from blog to blog, don’t forget to leave comments because we love hearing from you. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I love Sale-A-Bration! So choosing a project with those products was a piece of cake, except for choosing which awesome product to use! I chose a few of them for today’s card.
Sale-A-Bration Products
I chose the Awesome Otters stamp set for my star of the card. The little guy floating was too cute to resist! And that sentiment is perfect for so many occasions. We are all Awesome! To pair with the floating otter, I saw the speckled Fresh Freesia DSP as looking like water. (You might have to squint real hard!)
That DSP is part of the Sale-A-Bration Friendly Hello Bundle. It is one of the Free with a 100.00 purchase. Beautiful paper with a matching stamp set is a win. And this paper is all Awesome!. Both of the sheets I used are from the pack of paper.
Other Products
To start at the beginning, the card base is Fresh Freesia chosen from the speckled DSP paper. A layer of Bermuda Bay is behind the otter, and it came from the dotted DSP piece. I stamped, colored, and then free form cut the little otter. For the sentiment I wanted to use a tag . I found this one in the new Sweet Hearts Dies. It is a bit longer than I needed, so I simply cut off the bottom area a little. A bow is always a good thing. This one is made using the tan from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. Of course I had to add some bling. The 2021-2023 In Color Jewels was perfect with the Fresh Freesia one.
Fun Fold
I failed to mention that this card is a Fun Fold. You know how much I love to add a bit to a card with a fold. This one is what I like to call the Barn Door fold. It is easy to do and allows for some creativity with your layers.
I cut the piece of DSP to 4 X 5 1/4. Then cut the 5 1/4 to 4 X 2 3/8 and 4 X 2 7/8. This allows it to appear to be a solid piece from the front. By adhering the bottom section to the “door” with the DSP flush with the top of the door and equals distance on the other three sides. Then do the same on the inside of the card. Except have the door closed and place the DSP flush with the top of the door.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on February 9th. Our theme will be Birthday Bash when our team creates birthday projects to celebrate our family and friends.

Sympathy cards are unfortunately necessary. Blessings of Home fit the need of necessity and still quite pretty.
Stamp sets
The sweet sentiment I chose is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set. This set has great “caring” type sentiments. I paired this with a subtle, but pretty, flower from the Blessings Of Home stamp set. To have the flower appear softer than usual, I used Petal Pink Light Stampin’ Blends to create a squiggled background. Then stamped the flower with Smoky Slate for a softer outline. To continue the soft, I colored only the leaves with Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend. The Pale Papaya shows through for the flower petals.
Colors
The cardstock colors were chosen from the flower colors. I went with the Smoky Slate card base with a Soft Sea Foam layer. The light green helps the leaves to show off a bit more. On cards with this type layout, the sentiment is not normally the star. But I wanted it to be on this one. So it is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black for a brighter appearance. The card is finished with a scattering of small Pearls.

The title of today’s post is Family. This comes from the adorable Honeybee Home stamp set paired with the Heart & Home DSP. A beautiful pair!
Stamp Set and Dies
I did use a stamp set and a die set, but they are not a pair. However, the two work perfectly together. The sentiment and flower stamp are from the Honeybee Home stamp set. For the great design of the sentiment layer, I went to the Hippo & Friends Die set. These are an awesome mix of layering dies that are in addition to the hippo and his friends. I think they are must have for your layering die needs!
Paper and Colors
As is usually the case with me picking colors, I chose from the gorgeous DSP. Today I used the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper. I love the soft colors in the top layer of DSP, and how the green layer compliments it perfectly. All of the paper and stamping colors come from the top DSP layer.
To tie all of the layers and colors together, I chose just a wrap around of the Pale Papaya Open Weave Ribbon. It grounds the sentiment layer. And to help that layer stand out just a bit, I used the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Write Marker to go around the edges. There is the smallest of an embossed ledge around the layer. By running the side of the marker around a couple of times, it goes onto that little ledge and adds a bit of a divider between the layer and the DSP. I finished with a trio of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.
