The idea for today’s post is somewhat humorous. I live in Georgia and we do not get a lot of Winter. The temperature goes up and down with some fairly cold mixed in. But most of the time our winters are pleasant. Today’s card if for the Make My Monday Challenge and the theme is Winter. Well…..by the time this post is live on Monday, assuming forecasts are correct, we will have had a Snowy, Icy, day. So no more Winter Themes for me!!! LOL!!
The Make My Monday Challenge can be reached by clicking on the picture. You can see the Winter cards made by the other Design Team Members and add your own card if you wish.
The Paper
I wish I could say that I created that beautiful scene. But sadly, I did not. It is from the new and awesome New Horizons Designer Series Paper in the Mini Catalog. In my mind, and in thinking of Winter, I see this scene as a frozen pond or a snowy field. By using different stamps it could be a totally different scene / time of year. All of these papers are this fabulous!!
The Stamps and Dies
The On The Horizon Bundle is a match to the great paper. These stamps are designed to be stamped onto the paper for scenery as I have made. I did use the birds and the wood piece for the sentiment from the stamp set. There is a matching die for the wood piece. To help my scene look a bit more like winter, I added the trees on the bottom right. They are from my favorite Christmas set in the Annual Catalog, Perfectly Plaid.
Sale-A-Bration is the Best Time of Year!!

SUPPLIES:
What a great card for a “typical” Georgia winter! I had to giggle a little at the irony of you posting this card today but I can vouch for this card being what the Atlanta area normally looks like in winter. I’m not sure I have welcomed you to the team yet, so Welcome! I am super excited to see your beautiful cards in the gallery!
Your winters day card reminds me of many we have here in Scotland, the colours ,your stamping and layout are beautiful.
