I have made a card that folds like a matchbook for something different today. It was inspired by the treat holder Julie DiMatteo did a video on last week. You can see her video here. We saw the treat holder at World Card Making Day here in Atlanta. Julie is the Queen of 3-D, so she went with figuring out that project. I immediately thought that a card that closes like a matchbook would be cute. So here is my version.
Eastern Beauty, 143675
Can you see where the top flap tucks behind the bottom piece? The small section is stapled low on that fold and then the layers cover the staples.
My color combination came directly from this beautiful Designer Series Paper. I had not purchased this paper until I took advantage of the October special of buy 3 get 1 Free! This is such an awesome deal. (The details are at the bottom of the page.)
I could have used a variety of other color combinations as well. And I fudged a little bit. The package says the peach is actually Tangerine Tango, but I wanted the softer color. I believe it works just as well.
MEASUREMENTS:
The base card is Pear Pizzaz cut to 4 1/2 X 11. It is scored at 1 and 6 3/8. The 1″ is folded up and stapled. The second fold is long enough to tuck under the fold at a the bottom of the card.
The Peekaboo Peach layers are 3 7/8 X 4, and 3 7/8 X 3/4
The DSP layers are 3 3/4 X 3 7/8 and 3 3/4 X 5/8

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! There are so many ways to say, “Thank you!” – today’s blog hop is filled with projects that share our gratitude. Stampin’ Up!’s catalogs (both the Annual Catalog and the Holiday Catalog) are filled with so many fun products that help us show our gratitude – and we are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post
I chose the Painted Harvest, and matching products, for my Grateful Card. I have been so pleasantly surprised by the variety of uses for this stamp set. I do not think I would ever get tired of using it. Here is my Gather Together card.
I would have never thought I would use Lemon Lime Twist in so many combinations when it first appeared earlier this year. But I have discovered it to be a very versatile color. I pulled it directly from the Painted Autumn DSP on this outing. It and the Cajun Craze were the prominent colors in the DSP and were perfect together.
The wreath is created with only the Lemon Lime Twist for both stamps of the wreath. And they were both stamped full strength. The lighter shades, almost tan looking variations, are just from the stamp itself. Now you see part of why I adore this stamp set!! I added the speckle stamp for my berries. At first I was disappointed that I need to re-ink my pad, but then I liked the lighter touch of the Cajun Craze. It’s funny how that works sometimes.
I truly adore this sentiment! It is something I know I should think of more often. It is very appropriate.

I unintentionally have an Animal Santa theme going from yesterday’s card and today. I love animals, so it is appropriate. The card for today is also a little on the whimsical side. My Poodle Santa is a picture hanging on the wall.
Santa Paws, 144889
I hope you can see the humor in my Poodle Santa photo hanging on the wall! It was not my original plan, but in playing with the DSP, this is what happened.
Other than laughing, there is not a lot to say about this card. If you are an animal lover, I hope you can picture this hanging in your home during the holidays. I sure can!

I have had this idea for a card in my head for several weeks. Actually one of the reasons that I purchased the Santa’s Suit set was to make this card. I needed Santa’s hat. Hopefully you will not laugh at my card too much! Or if you do, then laugh in a good way…
This Little Piggy, 143922
Isn’t he just adorable? I could not resist making a Santa Pig for Christmas. It took three stamp sets to get there, but I think it was worth the combinations.
My colors came from the different elements in the pig. I used Pear Pizzaz for the grass and Real Red for the Santa Hat. I was disapointed when the hat smeared a little when I added the Wink of Stella. But since pigs tend to get a little dirty I thought it was appropriate.
TIP: The pig stamp has a sentiment under the pig. I used washi tape to cover the sentiment while i was inking the stamp. Then I just pulled off the tape before stamping. Presto! no sentiment.
I hope you at least had a smile this morning from my Santa Pig! Thank you for visiting today. I love to read your comments so please let me know what you think. I hope you have a wonderful day!

I am so excited to share with you Stampin’ Up!’s new Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers. As a demonstrator we are allowed to get products prior to them being available to our customers. I just received my order yesterday and I had to play with them. I had heard wonderful things from other demonstrators who had gotten them earlier. I have only used the Copic Markers a few times, but at least to me, these are very similar. I was in love from the first stroke.
Color Me Happy Kit: 144609, Color Me Happy stamp set: 144069
I used the Color Me Happy Project Kit along with the Color Me Happy Stamp Set. And I even followed the directions from the kit! I hate that you can look closely at my birds, but that is what this is all about, right? The pink bird was my first play with the markers. And yes, I realize I should have practiced ahead of time before going right to my project!! But the pool party bird is much better. The difference is that I colored with the dark around the edges and then came in immediately with the light to blend it. That works so much better.
Everything you see on my card is included in the kit. Although the stamp set is sold separately. The envelopes, which you can see part of it in the photo, are just beautiful.
Stampin’ Up! spent years perfecting these markers to make sure they were going to last. They would not make the same mistake twice. I think they have a winner. Also, these markers are sold individually. And there are only two of a color, a light and a dark.
The Stampin’ Blends will be available for you to order before much longer. I hope you will give them a try. In the meantime I will continue to play with them and hopefully continue to improve my coloring skills!
Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you have enjoyed this sneek peak at the Stampin’ Blends. Here is a video that you can watch as well. Click HERE

Today I have accepted the challenge to CASE the designer on the Global Design Project site. The designer happens to be my wonderful Stampin’ Up! upline Brian King.
All Things Thanks, 143097
I made my card fairly monochromatic. But I really like the look. It is a very different one for me. Sometimes different is good! I chose my colors based on this beautiful piece of Designer Series Paper. It is from the Delightful Daisy DSP. I just adore it.
Because of the darkness of the Tranquil tide base and the variations of that color in the DSP, I decided it needed a border of white to make it pop a little. The heart is from the Ribbon Of Courage stamp set and matching die cut. I layered the heart with a die cut heart from Sweet and Sassy Framelits, which are layering hearts.
This was a super easy card to put together. I hope you will give a try at casing either my card or Brian’s.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you like my card. The products I used are listed below. You can click on any item and be taken directly to my online store. Have a great day!!

Welcome to the Pals October 2017 Blog Hop featuring some very “Wicked Folds”. Thank you so much for joining us today. Sit back and enjoy the view while the Stampin’ Pretty Pals treat you with their wickedly folded projects. Whether you’re just starting the hop, or have come from a previous Pal’s blog, you’ll find the line-up toward the end of my post to help you move along.
I am thrilled to join this blog hop. And I adore different folds. So this was a perfect match. I used, what I call, a standing Z fold. Normally the Z is to the left, but with today’s version, it is at the top. However, the focal point is my blinged out cat! Isn’t she just the cutest? Even a cat needs her bling.
Spooky Cat Bundle, 146014
Everything I used is in the Spooky Cat Suite of products. The stamp set is so cute and covers a variety of card and gift needs. The cat punch is one I have wanted forever. I really hope it stays around after the catalog ends!! The DSP is the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper, and the ribbon is Vintage Crochet Trim. It is so easy to work with.
I started with a Smoky Slate base card, folded in a Z fold, as my neutral instead of Very Vanilla. To emphasize the Cat’s eyes I heat embossed with Smoky Slate Embossing Powder. I used my super duper Paper Snips to cut out one of the hats from the DSP. And of course the hat needed bling to match the collar.
The supplies I used to day are all listed at the bottom of the post. You can click any item and be taken directly to my online store.
Thank you so much for hopping with the Stampin’ Pretty Pals today. Please take a minute to mark your calendar for our next hop on November 8, 2017. Now hop along using the Blog Hop Line-up below. Don’t forget to leave us a comment.
The card I designed for today is my first one with this super cute set from the Holiday Catalog called Hug In A Mug! Who would not love a Hug In A Mug? I adore that name. The set seems to be a little bit of a sleeper set possibly due to the Coffee Cafe in the Annual and then the seasonal coffee in the Holiday Catalogs. But this one is just really cute. I hope you will give it a look.
Hug In A Mug, 144933
This card is a CASE from one of the Make ‘n Takes we did at World Card Making Day. I loved the mug of steaming cocoa with the sentiment. I added the hearts to the Pool Party layer to go along with the sentiment also. Because of the quilt and the sentiment, I believe this card could be used for so many occasions. A hug and a quilt are just year round love!
I have paired the stamp set with the Quilted Christmas 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper. This quilt pattern just emphasizes the Hug! At least that is what I think of when I see a hand quilted quilt. Also it brings back wonderful memories of my childhood!
These are the unlikely trio of colors I used for this card. I would have never added the Lemon Lime Twist to these other two. I did pull all three colors from the DSP. And since it works in the DSP, it must work here. I thought it would make the sentiment POP. I hope you agree…..otherwise you are probably thinking I have lost my mind ! LOL…
Remember that today is the last day for the World Card Making Day Sale!! It is also the last day to sign up for the October Paper Pumpkin….remember that October and November are coordinating this year. I cannot wait to see what they are!

Today I have a quick and easy Christmas card for you. Actually it is my swap card that I used at a World Card Making Day Event in Atlanta on Saturday. The event was hosted by my uplines, Brian King and Pam Morris. The event was awesome and I came home with lots of great ideas as well as 40 new cards that I swapped with other demonstrators. So here is the one I made.
Every Good Wish, 144865
I kept the card fairly simple due to making so many of one card. And since I love blue at Christmas, I made a blue and white card. The blue I used was Dapper Denim. The splatter is included in this cute set of Every Good Wish. I love the negative image of the major sentiments.
It is a little difficult to see in the photo, but I used the Silver Thread behind the raised sentiment. To adhere it I placed a strip of Fast Fuse tape under where I was going to place the sentiment. Then I just did figure eights with the silver thread. I then used Stampin’ Dimenionals to adhere the sentiment over the thread. So easy! And in person it really adds to the card. Of course I still added a few rhinestones for some more bling!!

Doesn’t this pretty much take the cake on simple and easy? I just could not cover up that beautiful snowflake. I wanted to add some ribbon, but there was no where to put it. So a large Rhinestone in the center and we are finished. I could see making a lot of those for Christmas and being finished early.
Sometimes plain and easy is great. I hope you will give that idea a chance. Thank you for visiting today! Have a great day!
