Stained Glass

I have a beautiful Stained Glass card today that I made as a sympathy card.  There is no sentiment on the front, so actually it could be for any occasion.  But I needed a sympathy card and was thrilled with how it turned out.  I hope you love it as well.

Graceful Glass 6 X 6 Designer Vellum, 146344

Doesn’t this actually look like a piece of stained glass?  And the best part is that you do not have to stamp or emboss it.  This is a piece of the Graceful Glass 6X6 Designer Vellum.  I trimmed the panel down to fit on a standard card and then just colored with my Stampin’ Blends.  There are more colors coming in the new catalog and I cannot wait.

This piece is so pretty that it doesn’t really need anything to surround it.  I even thought of making a taller/skinnier card. But in the end decided on the regular A2 size.  To even things out I used to the Softly Falling Embossing Folder to give some texture to the side panels you see.  Sometimes a little bit is all you need.

If you do not currently have a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to hear from you and will be happy to send you the new catalog as soon as they are available.   Better yet, join my team and get a lot of the new products in your Starter Kit.  You get to pick everything for your Starter Kit.  It is the ultimate shopping spree!  Contact me and let’s chat.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  I have a list of everything I used in the Supply List at the bottom of the page.

Another Paper Pumpkin Special:  The March PP was so popular due to the special gift that it sold out.  So Stampin’ Up! has offered a great deal to replace that.  New Subscribers who sign up before April 10, will receive April and May for half price.  So 2 months for the price of 1.  A great deal.  Use my link HERE, and enter the code: SAVEFIFTY0418

It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I would love to have you join my team.  A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first.  Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early.  For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator.  Of course, the discount helps!  If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.

Three Treat 3-D box

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! We have a fun Blog Hop theme today – Wrap it Up! The hop is filled with projects that are perfect for this time of year – everything from gift-packaging ideas to bundling up to stay warm. We are excited to share our creations with you today.  After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Thank you for joining me in this blog hop!  My wrap it up project is the 3-D gift I made as a gift.  This is my first post on a 3-D project.  I feel like I was channeling my inner Julie DiMatteo when I made it.  HaHa!!!!!  Julie is the 3-D Queen, and a great friend.  Although this project is from another SU Demonstrator’s YouTube video, www.positivelypapercraft.co.uk  Here is a link to her video. Click Here

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished product.

Stampin' Up! Year of Cheer, Jackie Beers

Year of Cheer DSP, 144640

I used the same DSP as the demonstrator did in her video.  It was just perfect for what I needed.  Any of SU’s thicker DSP would be wonderful.  I changed the inner part to just Thick Whisper White card stock. I have already made a few in different colors as gifts.  They really are easy to make. I cannot wait to give them out.

I have also made templates for the top and the bottom.  I have not braved making a video tutorial yet, but this is one I would love to do.  I found a few tricks that worked for me.  I also used the 1 3/8″ circle punch instead of the Layering Circles Framelits that the other lady used.

Here are the templates I made.  Hopefully they will make sense.  If not, please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Shawn de Oliveira at Shawn Stamps. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Oh Happy Day

The Stampin’ Up! Note Cards and Envelopes ( 20 cards and envelopes for $6.00) are a super value.  And this is what I have used as the base of my card today.  They are the same weight as the Thick Whisper White or Thick Very Vanilla card stock.  So you can stamp directly on them or layer, as I have done here.

Stampin' Up! Happiest of Days, Jackie Beers, stampinup happiest of days, jackiebeers

Happiest of Days, 143796

I apologize for the white on white with my background!  I am working on my photography! yikes….

The note cards measure 5 X 3 1/2, so they are plenty big enough to use in a variety of ways.  The Calypso Coral card stock and the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper are really the stars of the show.  The two really help the stamped images pop.

The stamp set I used is the Happiest of Days set.  This is a small set that really is great to have.  You can see the set in the supply list below.  I stamped the sentiment in Old Olive and colored the cake with Stampin’ Write Markers.  So easy!  I also stamped the cake, minus the stand, on the front of the envelope.  I do this on most of my cards.  I believe it gives the recipient a smile before they open they card.

The beautiful ribbon is new to the current catalog and is Calypso Coral 1/4″ Ombre Ribbon.  It is even prettier in person.  There are three of the Ombre Ribbons on page 198.

The supplies I used are listed below. You can click on any item and be taken directly to my online store. Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you have a great day!

COLOR COMBINATION:

Please do not forget to look at this Awesome special for Paper Pumpkin.  New Subscribers can try their first month for 50% off.  That means it is only $10.00 to get the first box.  The contents are worth well over that amount.  There is no obligation to continue the subscription.  But I hope you will fall in love with it as I have.  If you decide that you do not want it after the first, or even the tenth, you simple go to the website and cancel.  It is that easy.  So give it a try at this half price rate.

Oh Happy Day

The set I have focused on today is one that totally escaped me the first look through the catalog.  Then, as usual, I began seeing beautiful cards made with it and I wondered what set it was.  DUH!!!  The one I have made for today is a 4 X 4 card, and could be a birthday or wedding card, or even a gift enclosure card.  I believe this is one of the most versatile sets in the catalog.  Say hello to the Happiest of Days stamp set.

I love this Designer Series Paper!  It is from the Coffee Cafe suite and is called Coffee Break DSP.  I chose this little pattern and went from there for the other colors.  I did the coloring of the gifts with my Stampin’ Write Markers and just added a little rhinestone to the right side bow.  It just really needed some bling since it is shaped like a starburst or pom pom.  And then I added a second rhinestone to the sentiment banner.

This is such a cute card and so quick and easy to make.  I hope you will give these smaller cards a chance.
