It helps if you put the correct date on the scheduled post. Sorry about that!!
Today I have a one layer card. That is super unusual for me. I do love my layers! But I hope when you see this one, you will consider these great notecards as quick and easy cards to have on hand. Half of the work is already done for you. Take a look and then I will explain what is already on the card.
Delightfully Detailed Notecards, 146911
I love how this card turned out! These notecards are delivered with the watercolor wash look already on them. They are half in Mint Macaron and half in Blackberry Bliss. I love the subtle watercolor look which screams for you to just stamp on top of it. The Blackberry Bliss has a darker background and is maybe even more beautiful.
These notecards would be the perfect way to make and have on hand some quick Thank You type cards, or for a beginner crafter to not have to worry about doing layers. You get 20 notecards and envelopes for $9.50.
I stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede and the tree by coloring with my Stampin’ Write Markers in Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede. And that is the completed card! It cannot get much simpler than that. The stamp set is Rooted In Nature, a wonderful set, especially for more masculine cards.
I also stamped on the envelope to give a little “something special is in here” look to it. I try to always remember to do that. It is a leaf from the same set stamped in Mint Macaroon.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you will return on Monday. Please remember to review all of the current specials. The JOIN NOW is the best ever!!!

One of my favorite parts of card design is the fold. I love any fold that is a tad different. Today I have a different take on the Z Fold, which is my favorite. This one is the Double Z Fold.
Country Road, 147469
For a country type card, mine is a tad on the bright side. But I love the look of Crumb Cake, Real Red and the new Blueberry Bushel. I utilized most of the stamps in the Country Road stamp set. I discovered the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch matches the wheel perfectly! I love those kind of discoveries.
Here is a picture of the open card so you can see the Double Z.
I probably needed a better angle for the photograph, but I believe you can see the strip that is the second Z of the fold. And did you notice the Happy Birthday sign on the top right? The “Nail” is a brad. I LOVE brads, and Stampin’ Up! has brought them back!! Yippee and Happy Dance!!
Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you like different folds as much as I do and will give this one a try. If you have any questions I would be thrilled to help you out. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team. A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first. Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early. For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator. Of course, the discount helps! If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.
Wasn’t yesterday’s Blog Hop wonderful? There is always a great variety of stamps, colors, and embellishments. Today I have used the same stamp set as yesterday. I am on a more masculine streak it seems. Today’s card would be perfect or Father’s Day.
Rooted In Nature, 148353
I made yesterday’s card over a week ago, and as I was writing this post realized how very alike these two cards are. I am not sure if that is good or bad!!
This card is quite a lot of green. I used he Handwritten stamp as the background and stamped in Soft Sea Foam. The sentiment is stamped in Mossy Meadow. I used Stampin’ Write Markers in the Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede for the tree. The leaves/branches are Old Olive both full strength and stamped off.
To give the sentiment layer some depth without trying to cut and piece the punch to create a background, I have a very easy method I use. I simply run my Stampin’ Write Marker around the edge of the punched piece a time or two. My holding the marker almost flat, I touch the fatter part of the large tip end on the edge of the cardstock. Give it a try, I believe you will like the result.
Thank you very much for hopping yesterday and for coming back today. I promise to use a different stamp set tomorrow! LOL… All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Welcome to the Pals June, 2018 Blog Hop. This month we’re going to Pick a “B”. Projects for Babies, Birthdays or Brides, that is. Be on the look out for creations using new products from Stampin’ Up!
You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
For today’s Hop, I chose to do a Masculine Birthday. I send more Birthday cards than any other and sometimes masculine ones are just really difficult to get the right look I believe. Well, now that is a little easier! There are a couple of stamp sets in this new SU catalog that are great for anyone, but especially for creating masculine cards. The Rooted In Nature set and bundle is one of those. Here is the card I made.
Rooted In Nature Bundle, 148353
There is quite a lot of background design going on. It seems more in the photo than in person, LOL!!! I was going for a bit of vintage/rustic look. Did you catch my innuendo on the card? The slice of tree with the rings showing which means the age of the tree and then the sentiment “One More Year”. Okay, sometimes I am not as humorous as I think I am 🙂
I did use a great little trick on the sentiment though. The full sentiment is “On one more year” from the Sunshine Sayings , which is a builder type word set. I used masking tape to cover the “ON” while I was inking and then removed it and stamped to get only the wording I wanted.
I will say that this is the first time in ages that I have torn and sponged the edges of the paper. I remember why I like that look and added texture it gives. This was my first time using the Shaded Spruce color from the revamp. I have to say that I love it. It is a deep, but bright, green.
Thank you so much for visiting my page on the Blog Hop. I greatly appreciate it. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
Now it’s time to use the Blog Hop Line-up below to see which “B” the rest of my Pals are using. Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations.
Mark your calendars for July 11, 2018 for our annual Pattern Party featuring projects using favorite Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers and coordinating embellishments.. Don’t miss it!
Today’s card is back to showcasing a retiring set. Although this set and the matching punch will be sticking around my house. This set is perfect for Military, Law Enforcement and especially a super Father’s Day card.
My Hero , 141957
I paired this lovely stamp with the True Gentleman DSP. It is another beautiful Designer Series Paper that is super for use in all kinds of projects. It is layered on Chocolate Chip. The card base is Thick Very Vanilla with a layer of Crumb Cake on top. And do not forget this perfect badge punch. Unfortunately is is retiring as well, so get it while you can.
The badge also gives you a bit of a sneak peek at a couple of new colors. The gold is Mango Melody and the blue is Blueberry Bushel. Both are gorgeous !!
Thank you for visiting today. I very much appreciate your taking time to stop by. All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page.

Another retiring set, that I have not totally decided will actually leave my house, is Layering Love. I really LOVE the sentiments of this stamp set. Today I have paired it for a little more masculine version. A favorite DSP has become the True Gentleman DSP from the Occasions Catalog. I think Stampin’ Up! really nailed it on the patterns in this pack of paper.

I went for non-Spring colors and added some different textures. This is quite a different card for me of late. I am happy with the results though. And again, there is quite a lot of retiring product here. The stamp set and DSP, as I mentioned above, but also the Sweet And Sassy Framelits!!! ( I cannot believe it!), the Enamel Shapes, and the Tutti-Fruitti Washi tape. Wow! And they look great together.
I hope you like my “a little bit different” card. I appreciate you stopping by today. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page. Remember that the retiring products are only “While Supplies Last” . If you hesitate too long you may miss out on a favorite.
