Friendships Sweetest Thoughts is a perfect springtime stamp set. I love it and will miss it at the end of next month. Today I have paired it with the Fresh Floral DSP that includes the current In Color Family of colors.
Friendships Sweetest Thoughts, 145826
I believe the DSP pairs perfectly with the little flower cart. I have mixed my reds in this. I used Berry Burst Card stock and DSP, Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blend, and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend for the bird. Who knew it would all mesh pretty well???
The cart is stamped and colored with the Stampin’ Blends and then cut out using the Layering Ovals Framelits. Instead of placing it under an oval cut into the DSP, I decided just to layer it on top. Without a background layer, the single layer lays flat enough that it appears to be underneath. A win for quick and not having to measure to find the center!
Thank you for stopping by today! I have included all of the products used at the bottom of the page. Remember the Retiring Lists. The stamp set and DSP are on there.
Another Paper Pumpkin Special: The March PP was so popular due to the special gift that it sold out. So Stampin’ Up! has offered a great deal to replace that. New Subscribers who sign up before April 10, will receive April and May for half price. So 2 months for the price of 1. A great deal. Use my link HERE, and enter the code: SAVEFIFTY0418
It is still a great time to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I would love to have you join my team. A great perk for demonstrators this time of year is getting to see the new catalog first. Then we get to order and play with the new products a month early. For me, that is one of the best parts of being a SU Demonstrator. Of course, the discount helps! If you are interested, please contact me and let’s talk.
As I am pulling the retiring stamp sets, I have fond memories of so many. So as I said on Monday, I am going to showcase a few of my favorites. Today and tomorrow I will be using the same stamp set . It is a different set from earlier in the week, but these two cards are similar in layers and shape. This set is perfect for the quick Random Act of Kindness card or just a cute card.

A few layers of beautiful card stock and a little Stampin’ Blends, and finished! What a deal!! I love the simplicity but shine this has. I layered Rich Razzleberry card stock with Gold Foil card stock. I added a layer of the Painted With Love DSP from the Occasions Catalog. The heart in the light bulb mimics the hearts on the DSP. The reflection you see in the photo is from the gold foil hearts. It is very hard to photograph. However, it is quick and easy. You could make quite a few of these in just a short time.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Tomorrow’s card will be using this same stamp set. I hope you will come back to check it out. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page. clicking on any item will take you directly to my online store.

Card base of Rich Razzleberry is 8 X 4, folded in half

I have somewhat of a Funky Fold in my card today. I received a similar card at the swap a couple of weeks ago and loved that it was different. I recreated it, but instead of folding, I cut away to make the same front result. And I changed the front decorations as well. I had in my mind a gentleman card with a tie. However, it ended up more like a female card with a scarf! I just never know what my end result will be! 🙂
Lovely Wishes, 145924
I will begin with the “V”. The card I received was 4 1/4 X 11, scored equally and then each end was cut so that when they overlapped the front it formed this V. I decided it would be easier to do a regular fold from that beginning cut, but cut out the V section. My method saves some cutaway card stock but requires a little measuring. So the other may be simpler???
I used the Simple Stripes Embossing Folder and ran it through the Big Shot once in each direction to make the plaid design on the front section. I then used Tear & Tape to secure the bottom and the side. I also used the Tear & Tape to adhere the ribbon around the neck of my “sweater”.
I hope you like my funky fold card. It is a good design for pull out invitations or even adding a gift card on the bottom portion of the pull out card.
Thank you for visiting today. The supplies I used are all listed at the bottom of the page. Please don’t forget about the Retiring Items and the Clearance Rack was updated on Tuesday. My much loved Island Indigo is on the Retiring List as well. So if it a favorite of yours you should grab some now!

You should have seen today’s card on Friday. I had some technical difficulties…….called “scheduling for the wrong day”! Duh. By the time I realized it had not posted, it was Friday afternoon. When I discovered it was set for Saturday instead of Friday, I just changed it to Monday. Sorry about that. I’ll blame it on being retired and not knowing what the actual date is!! So here is the delayed card. A quick and easy one that is great for leftover DSP.
Petal Palette Bundle, 145974
I love simple and this is definitely a simple card. Although you could step it up with some texture on the heart or the white background. Probably my favorite part of the card is the banner from the DSP. It is from the Bubbles and Fizz DSP from Sale-A-Bration. I hate that I did not notice it before SAB was over. But I found a strip laying on my cutting table and decided it was perfect for the card.
A simple background color change to anything with matching DSP and you have an entirely new card. That is why I love posting here for you to check out my ideas. Just use what you have laying around and it will be wonderful!
Thank you for visiting today! I very much appreciate you checking my posts and your sweet comments. The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Do any of you remember Crazy Quilts? It was a frequently made quilt made by using leftover scraps of other quilting pieces. That is what today’s card reminds me of. Although I did it on purpose. The idea came to me when I saw the card I made in the last week or two that was a CASE of Brian King’s patented leftover strips of card stock card. You can see my card HERE. Then I saw the Tailored Tag Punch, and this is the result of that combination.
Lovely Inside & Out, 144011
It is Crazy!! I punched several pieces of the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack with the Tailored Tag Punch. The two different papers you see are actually both sides of one sheet. I then just taped them to a piece of Whisper White card stock. When I got to the edges, I merely turned it over and trimmed the pieces off with my Paper Snips. Some of those pieces were then reused to fill in gaps. It was actually fun, and quite quick to make.
For the sentiment, I decided to make it like a crooked sign to go along with the Crazy theme. It is taped down and has an Enamel Shape to replace the nail or tack. How fun is this?? Now I want to make a bunch more in different colors and different designer series papers.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this card and will let me know what you think. I love reading your comments.
The supplies I used are listed the bottom of the page. Today there are not that many! That is a good thing in my opinion!!

Today’s card is a bright and happy card. The designer series paper and the little stamp are the stars. I also made it a 4 X 4 card. It would be perfect to give as a Random Act of Kindness. You could also use the same items and make it a 3 X 3.
I have recently used quite a bit of Night of Navy as a grounding color. Today though I have changed it up a bit and gone with Pacific Point. It is definitely another of my favorites. And of course, who doesn’t love Calypso Coral. This beautiful DSP is one of the Sale-A-Bration FREE items. It is on the reverse side of a piece from the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper. I fell in love with it immediately.
The stamp set is one of the Host sets from the Occasions Catalog , called Yay You! It has Amazing sentiments. I have used one of the others and this one a couple of times. I believe this is the first time I have used other stamps though. It will be a keeper for me, even after it retires. I love good sentiments. And to finish it off, I added a matching heart from the Metallic Shapes Embellishments.
Remember that there are only two days left on Sale-A-Bration! If thee are still items on your Wish List, now is the time to order. And think of the retiring In-Colors as well. They usually go out of stock before the new catalog arrives. That means stock up on them now and reward yourself with FREE product at the same time.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you have a great rest of the day and weekend. Please stop back on Monday to see what I have for you.
