I am back to my bright colors with a quick but dimensionally card. (I’m not really sure that is a word!) I used the Dot To Dot Embossing Folder and it really adds a punch to the card. Here is is:

I paired the DOTS with my favorite dot designer series paper from the Share What You Love Designer Paper. And added a few more dots in the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins.
This is one of those very versatile cards. You can really change it up just by adding a different sentiment. I used the Wonderful Romance stamp set for the flowers and sentiment in the circle. I wanted to cover the center of the doily and needed a large circle. So I had to do the background stamping to justify the size of the white circle. I like having the soft leaves in the background there.

I am making a “Day At The Park” card for the Global Design Project 183 challenge. It is a very soft card, which I do not do very often. I tend to lean towards bright colors. I was pleasantly surprised that I really like it!

This is a really simple card that would work for a variety of occasions. It took me some time to originally give this stamp set even a second look. But then I thought of it as a “sketch” or “Pin and Ink” type drawing. Then it seemed to have more appeal. Now that I have colored it, although softly colored, I like it even more. I never would have dreamed I would like the results this much when I first opened the catalog.

The layout I have used for today’s card is one that would work for pretty much any card. And I adore it! It is also great for the scraps we all cannot stand to through away. The layers can be adjusted actually so that they would fit the scrap pieces you have. Isn’t that a great idea?
Itty Bitty Birthdays, 148618
I planned this card as a Birthday card, but in adding the categories that it wold fit, I realized this sentiment is an awesome one. It would be great for a Graduation, which is coming up real soon, or a retirement. And probably a few others.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set. I love all of the “Itty Bitty” type sets. They are the perfect size and usually cover almost any occasion, even the more unusual ones. Or at least ones that you do not use very often.
I have not used a lot of Grapefruit Grove card stock, so decided to remedy that today. It is one of the colors in the pack of this gorgeous DSP. It is the Happiness Blooms Designer Series Paper. I also used Night of Navy as the DSP backing , and Pineapple Punch for the sentiment backing.

I have made a #simplestamping card to share today. This is a challenge that Sara Douglass made at our November OnStage to share more cards for the beginner stamper or those with limited supplies. I really love the idea. These cards are the kind I really enjoy making. I think of the #simplestamping as a basic card that can then be “stepped up” by just adding a few embellishments or add layers and it is a more involved card. It makes me go back to when I first began stamping.
Little Twinkle, 146452
I used Thick Whisper White card stock as the base of my card and two ink pads. The square in the center is done by using the Clear Block D as a stamp. I just placed the Clear Block on the Balmy Blue Ink Pad and then stamped it onto the card stock. The star backgrounds are also stamped with the Balmy Blue. The star and sentiment are stamped with Pacific Point. I fussy cut, although it was very simple cutting, the star and adhered it with Stampin’ Dimensional to raise it. I added the Metallic Pearls for just a touch of bling.

When I saw the sketch challenge for the Global Design Project #182, I knew I had to play along. I love the simple sketch. I immediately thought of it as perfect for a “scrap” card. If you have followed me for very long then you know that I love to periodically use the scraps of designer series paper. I saw this as one of those layouts that would fit the bill easily.

Here is the sketch:
I thought a small simple stamping would fit perfectly for this based on the bright DSP I chose to use. And the Varied Vases, Mary Fish’s Million Dollar Stamp Set fit the bill perfectly. I pulled Berry Burst from the card stock as the vase and flower color. The flower is “stamped Off” first to give a touch lighter shade.
The gorgeous DSP is the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. It is the thick DSP I used the other day on a card. I will be using it quite a bit in the next months since it will be retiring with the next annual catalog. I adore this paper.

The Humming Along stamp set is perfect for a sketch type card, where you leave just the outline. Or you can go crazy coloring it. I, of course, went with the coloring. I seriously love coloring with the Stampin’ Blends. With a large stamped image, the coloring goes very quickly. Here is today’s card.

I paired the Humming Along stamp set with the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper. The purple flowers are a back side of one of the butterfly prints. And the little butterfly on the flower is punched from a sheet as well. **Remember the Butterfly Duet Punch will be in the next Annual Catalog! The gorgeous sentiment is part of the stamp set and is layered using the Layering Ovals Dies. These type dies are a staple of my stamping products.
