Rosy Birthday

Tomorrow is the last day to order the Christmastime Is Here Suite of products.  I love every piece of the suite, to include the bracelet.  If you click on the photo at the bottom of the post that shows all of the products in the suite, it will take you to store.

Since the Christmas Rose is going away, I thought I would share one more card with the products in the suite.  I managed to use most of them without even trying.

The beautiful designer series paper, Christmastime Is Here, is the star of this card.  The piece on the bottom is probably my all time favorite.  It reminds me of Santa and the quilted suits you see sometimes.  The top piece is just as pretty though and lends itself to a special card.

The Gold Foil die cut is a die from the Rose Dies as is the two layers of the sentiments.  The Gold Shimmer Ribbon and the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots are perfect additions to any card or project.

The only thing I did not use from the suite is the Christmas Rose stamp set.  I needed a birthday so went looking for a pretty font to fit in the die cut.  I found the perfect one in a brand new stamp set that is going to debut in the 2020 Mini Catalog.  It is the Peaceful Moments stamp set.  I was able to preorder it due to attending OnStage.  Hint:  This is one of the many things I love about being a demonstrator.  We get to see and play with product first!

Thank you for stopping in.  I am off to the crazy Black Friday shopping.  Wish me luck!!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  I hope you are having a good day and a relaxing one.  Although I know holidays are not always relaxing.  In my work life, I had to work more holidays than I was off so I really enjoy them now.

For today’s project I went a little wild with my turkey!  I hope you are awake because this will wake you up for sure.

Did this bright card wake you up or make you scream?  LOL!!  I colored the turkey before I had decided on anything else for the card.  I wanted him to be a bright and cheerful guy, so went with Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock besides the turkey brown.

I could not find DSP that seemed to fit the turkey until I came across this feather piece from , you guessed it, Come To Gather DSP.  I know you think that is the only DSP I own!  But when I saw the feathers, I knew this was the perfect piece, plus it was in Pretty Peacock.

The Poppy Parade layers , and all of the layers, were originally going to be normal layout.  At the last minute I decided to go wacky with that as well.  Sometimes life gets wacky , but I am always still Thankful.  That is sort of what this card is about.

The sentiment layer is from the stamp set, but cut with some beautiful dies.  The Ornate Frames Dies are from the Spooktacular Bash Bundle in the Holiday Catalog.  WOOPEE!!! the dies are going to carry over!!  I love when something that is so different and flexible carries over.  So you will continue to see these beautiful sentiment backgrounds.

Before I go, please remember that tomorrow is the last day to order the Christmastime Bundle.  All of the products in the bundle are shown below and can be reviewed just by clicking on the picture.

Thank you for stopping in today.  Please return for another project tomorrow.

REMINDER:  The time is running out for the Christmastime Is Here suite of products, which includes the Christmas Rose Bundle.  They will be gone after November 30th.

Grateful for InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s November Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around GRATEFUL. Thanksgiving is tomorrow, and we are grateful you’ve stopped by. We are excited to share our Thanksgiving-themed or grateful-centered projects with you! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

The card I made is definitely a “grateful” card, but with a more monotone look to it.  My colors came from probably my most favorite designer series paper of all time, The Come To Gather DSP.

Stampin' Up!, Gathering Leaves, Come to gather, Jackie Beers

I have probably used every single piece of this DSP.  Today I paired two that are both of the same tone.  Maybe I misspoke on them being monochromatic.  Whatever they are, I love them!!

I die cut leaves using the Gathering Leaves Dies from Mint Macaron and Pretty Peacock.  The die both embosses and cuts the leaves.  I then added Clear Wink of Stella to the leaves for some sparkle.  I decided to add a touch more and went with the Leaf Punch and punched two leaves using the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate.

The sentiment is from A Big Thank You stamp set and is stamped using Pretty Peacock Ink.  It was then cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  The background sentiment  layer is cut with these dies as well.  The sentiment layer was shortened using the technique of matching up the “stitched lines”.  I completed the card with a Whisper White Baker’s Twine bow.

For me It was very difficult to leave all of that open space.  But I sat on my hands and wouldn’t allow myself to add more!  LOL!!!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Brian King at Stamp With Brian. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Wishing You Well

I have not shared the Nature’s Beauty stamp set very much.  It is on the last page of the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog.  Stampin’ Up! is donating $3.00 from every stamp set sale to Mental Health Organizations.  Besides the great charity surrounding the set, it is a really beautiful set.  So I felt it needed some more Love from me!

All but the sentiment is from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set.  The sentiment is from the Merry Moose stamp set.

I went back to an “old school” technique for the trees.  I wanted a Fall look to them.  So I used my Stampin’ Write Markers to color on the Red Rubber stamps of the trees.  The trees are actually two different stamps, a double tree and a single tree.  I used Merry Merlot, Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Old Olive to color the trees.  I stamped the leaves on the ground using Old Olive, Cajun Craze, and Mango Melody all stamped off once first.  There are green “hills” on the stamps, so I added a few more with the fine tip of the Old Olive Stampin’ Write Marker.  I really hate that you cannot purchase a single marker any longer. 🙁

The little racoon guy is stamped in Early Espresso and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  As a final touch for the scene, I wrapped Old Olive Linen Thread around two of the corners.

Thank you so much for checking in today.  I hope you will give some love to older techniques, or at least some you h ave not used in a while.  Tomorrow is the monthly InKing Royalty Blog Hop.  Please come by and Hop Along with us.

Reminder:  The Christmas Rose suite of products only has another week and they will be gone.  You can look back at a few of the cards I have shared by clicking HERE , HERE, and HERE.

Country Love

I am going to attempt to share only Fall and Thanksgiving cards this week.  Christmas is almost upon us and I don’t want to skip over Thanksgiving.  Although, I believe most of us have done that already.

I am thrilled with how this card came together.  My “Go To” Fall designer series paper has been the Come To Gather DSP.  I love every single piece in the package.  And both sides of each piece!  This is a print that I do not believe I have used previously.

The stamp set is the Country Home from the Annual Catalog.  I was thrilled that it carried over and it pairs so well with the Gathering Leaves in the Holiday catalog.  Everything except the “LOVE” is from the Country Home stamp set.  I stamped and then used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color the arrangement.

The beautiful LOVE is from the So Many Stars stamp set.  There is a LOVE in the Country Home set, but this one had previously caught my eye.  I really adore the font of this one.

Thank you for dropping by today.  I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project.

Scalloped Thank You

I adore the Scallop Notecards from Stampin’ Up!  They are right up there with the Whisper White Notecards for my quick and easy Thank You cards.  I needed one yesterday and was able to make a really cute one in no time.

Yes, I am still using the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  It was on my desk and I only needed a strip.  I backed the DSP with a piece of Early Espresso card stock.  The sentiment is from the Goof Morning Magnolia stamp set.  The flower is from that set as well.  I stamped the flower in Smoky Slate Ink that was “stamped Off” once.

This Petal Pink notecard plays perfectly with the Magnolia Lane DSP.  This would be a great little gift of several Thank You cards that are just so darn cute.

Thanks for coming by today.  I hope you will return on Monday.
