I have backed off of holiday cards for the day and gone with the always needed Happy Birthday. I supposed food is still on my mind however. In choosing a stamp set, I went with the Birthday Goodness set. Yes, that is the donuts and macarons!!
I paired Rococo Rose and Pretty Peacock for this project. I love how they look together. The designer series paper is from the Woven Threads DSP. I colored the donuts to match the Rococo Rose color and the cake plate matches the Pretty Peacock paper.
I like to move my layers around a bit for a different look. Instead of placing this card in regular 5 1/2″ tall with a fairly centered focal point, I turned it sideways and placed the focal off to one side. It doesn’t take much of a change to get a totally different look.
Thank you for visiting today. Please come back tomorrow for another new project!

I have used the Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards previously. They come in a gorgeous metal tin, which is a gift in itself. I received one of the tin of cards at Brian King’s Fall event over the weekend and wanted to share the beautiful cards once again.
Brian had a Magnolia theme going at his event, and it rubbed off on me. That is what I used as well.
I think these cards are so pretty on their own. I added a piece of the Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper behind the laser cutting. The DSP is cut to 4 1/8 X 5 3/8 and has a rolled up glue dot in each corner to secure it. The center decoration has Stampin’ Dimensionals behind it and they secure the DSP as well.
The center layer is a 2″ circle of the Magnolia Lane DSP that is layered on a Starburst punched piece of Petal Pink card stock. The sentiment is from #Elfie and is punched with the 1″ circle punch. It is backed by a piece of Mossy Meadow card stock punched with the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch.
The couple of Thank you’s are from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set. They are punched using the Classic Label punch . To get the flagged tip, I re inserted the end into the edge of the punch and punched again.
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you are having a great day.

I am continuing with projects from the Stampin’ Up! OnStage event this past weekend. I had two friends, one is a downline of mine, coming in from Florida for the event. As Atlanta weather goes we were having very chilly weather, especially on Thursday when they were arriving. I found a little humorous gift for them and made a package for them.
I realize I have once again used the snowman products, but in this instance it was very appropriate. Do you see the designer series paper theme? It is mittens. And that is what is wrapped in the tissue paper. I found the little “one size fits most” pull on gloves. I love these because I have really short fingers and they fit my fingers! LOL!!! The added bonus is they are very inexpensive and great as little add on gifts. Or in my case because I tend to loose at least one of them.
I used the 6 X 8 Cello Bags for the gloves. The topper is made by using a 6 X 4 piece of Poppy Parade Card Stock and added a 5 3/4 X 1 2/3 piece of Coastal Cabana to the front and back. That is topped by a piece of 5 1/2 X 1 1/2 piece of the Let It Snow Designer Series Paper. It is also on the front and back. I folded this over the top of the bag and secured it with two staples, both placed towards the center. I used the old SU stapler that is retired. But any small craft or desk stapler would work fine.
For the tag, I used a 2 X 5 strip of Whisper White card stock. It is punched at the bottom with the Banner Triple Punch and at the top with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch. I stamped a scene from the Snowman Season stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. It is highlighted with the Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment is one of my go to themes. It is from #Elfie stamp set.
Thank you for stopping by today. I will have a few more different projects for you in the next couple of days.

As I mentioned on Friday, I attended two Stamping Events Friday and Saturday. Friday was an event from Brian King. He is known to most of you stampers, and also is my Stampin’ Up! Upline. Saturday was a Stampin’ Up! Event. More about that later.
Brian’s event had a card swap included. I am sharing my swap card with you today. Let me just say that I am happy with how it turned out. BUT…when you are making 50 of something, a lot of layers may not be the best way to go!! LOL!!!
Isn’t the snowman just so darn cute? I have used that suite of products several times. He is so easy to work with and always makes me smile so I knew he had to be the focus of my swap card.
I paired the snowman with the Wrapped In Plaid Designer Series Paper Stack. I adore these plaids prints. And what goes better with a cold snowy day than warm plaid. To highlight the gold accent in the plaid, I placed a strip of Gold Foil behind the plaid.
The circles were what seemed to be the easiest method of producing a lot of backgrounds. The snowman has the 2″ Circle Punch and the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch. They are in Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. Those are also the colors in the plaid. I chose the Night of Navy background partly because it is in the plaid, but also because I thought it would show off the snowman the best.
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Christmas. I love the font of the Christmas. And I adore it when they do more than one font on a sentiment. I added the Gold Foil behind the sentiment to compliment the gold stripe in the DSP. I used the 1″ Circle Punch and the 1 1/8″ Scallop Circle Punch for this layer.
Thank you for coming back today to see my swap card. I will have some more treat projects and card ideas from the weekend to share with you this week.
Here are the layer measurements, other than the circles, for this card.
base is 4 1/4 X 11
white layer is 4 1/8 X 5 3/8
navy layer is 4 X 5 1/4
gold foil layer is 1 1/8 X 5 1/4
DSP layer is 1 X 5 1/4

I am at OnStage in Atlanta today and am sharing with you the little treats I made to give to other demonstrators. I love the sharing of ideas at these events. So I am going to share with you the two treat holders I made.
A month or so ago I was looking for candy to use as treats for this event. When I saw the Cowtails I knew it would be perfect to pair with one of my favorite stamp sets. It is the Over The Moon set. I love these cows!!
The box is an idea from The Paper Pixie. I got it resized to fit two of the cowtails inside. You can see Julie’s post HERE. Her project fit a small Altoid tin.
My box is narrower and longer than Julie’s and is made with the Mango Melody card stock. The measurements for the 2 cowtails is 2 1/2 X 10 1/2, score on the 2 1/2 side at 1/2 on each side. Score the 10 1/2 side at 4 1/4, 4 3/4, 9, and 9 1/2. Follow the directions from Julie on putting it together. They are the same.
The second project is much faster to make. I could not make too many of the boxes due to cramping hands. (Getting old stinks sometimes!) So I went with a faster version. This version utilizes the 3 X 6 cello bags. I made a 3 X 3 piece that is folded in half and stapled to the bag, then layer the decorations to cover the staples.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. If you follow my Facebook page, Blue Line Stamping, I will be posting pictures from a Brian King (Stamp With Brian) event on Friday and Stampin’ Up! on Saturday. At the last SU event we were able to share immediately new products that we received. That was a big change from previous years. Hopefully we can share this time as well.
Come back on Monday to see the card I made as a swap for Brian’s event on Friday.

I am sharing a rather different color challenge for Paper Players challenge. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the colors. But when I first saw them I had to think a minute. Now however, I am in love and trying to figure a way to incorporate some Bermuda Bay into my Christmas decorations. I went wild with my colors last year so I’m mostly there with two of the three colors.
What do you think? I believe these bright colors all work wonderfully together. The only problem I had was there is not a Gorgeous Grape Stampin’ Blend. I made do with the Stampin’ Write Marker in Gorgeous Grape and actually the lines it left on the stocking topper works.
Here is the challenge from Paper Players:
