All Adorned

I have a quick little 4 X 4 card today to share with you.  I cannot believe Sale-A-Bration is almost over.  It has exceeded sales goals for Stampin’ Up!, and unfortunately resulted in quiet a few sets selling out.  I hate that, but then I thought of a lot of new companies, even QVC, where items are a limited number.  With these , if you want it get it, because it may/will be gone soon.  That has definitely been the case this year with SAB.

Stampin’ Up! has come out with additional sets to cover the empty slots and the one I am sharing today is one of those sets.  At first glance the All Adorned sets looks very plain.  The magic appears once you ink it up and find all of the possibilities.  Today’s card was quick and easy to line up.

All Adorned, 149728

I began stamping with the corners and did not even use the Stamparatus!  It was so easy to do that I did not think about it until I was almost finished.  I love photopolymer stamps for this reason.  You can see pretty much exactly where you need to stamp.  I began with the 3 7/8 width and stamped the pieces to touch each other and then went back to trim the bottom.  I did not have a plan when I started.  That happens quite often lately!

The sentiment is part of the stamp set and it what originally drew me to the set.  I think that is a great statement for so many purposes.   I punched it with the Everyday Label Punch and then used my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker to go around the edge to give it some color.  I think this is a great way to differentiate when you have white on white.

Thank you very much for Hopping with me yesterday!  I hope you liked the Easter card.  And I really appreciate you coming back today.  I know my posts are not going to my Facebook Blue Line page for some reason.  I am working on that.

Birthday Cheer for InKing Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around BIRTHDAY. It’s always special to celebrate the birthday of someone you love, so handmade birthday cards are always fun to share. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I new I had the right idea for my card when Brian sent the banner for today’s Blog Hop.  The design in the banner is what I used on my card.  I had to laugh.  So, seeing that DSP you can imagine that my card is very bright and colorful.  Here it is.

Birthday Cheer Bundle, 150576

I love purple.  It was my Mother’s favorite color, so of course I did not like it in my young years.  But as those things go, it is one of my favorite colors now.  I definitely thought of her in making this card.  I used the Gorgeous Grape as the base, and I added the Dot To Dot Embossing Folder in Whisper White to separate the color a bit.  I then went crazy with color and layered two pieces of the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper.  LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!

The sentiment is a combination of two different ones.  The main sentiment is from the Stitched All Around stamp set.  The added “It’s All About You”, which I thought was just perfect, is from Birthday Cheer. My original plan was to have that as the inside sentiment.  I thought about it a minute, and decided I liked it as an added bit of humor for the front panel.

The hat and cupcake are stamped in Gorgeous Grape and colored with Stampin’ Blends, using the DSP as a color source.  My post yesterday commented on the use of regular ink for coloring with the Stampin’ Blends.  Today’s pieces are another example of how well that can work!

I die cut the cupcake but had to fussy cut the hat.  They are both raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the card a bit more depth.  The Glitter Enamel Dots were the finishing touch.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Mary Fish at https://stampinpretty.com. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!  My complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.

Hoppy Thursday

Sorry I am late today.  I was fighting with the Year End Closeout links.  As you can tell if you have been following me for any length of time, I am not a whiz at computer technology!!! Yikes.   But I hope the awesome sale prices will be worth the wait.

Another great thing is that you can now order the Stamparatus Carry Bag.  I have had the icon at the bottom of the post for a few weeks now.  Well the time is here.  And it is really the perfect bag for your Stamparatus, plus other uses as well.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Now for today’s card.  It is another Sneak Peek of the upcoming Sale-A-Bration stamp sets.  Did the Blog Title give it away?  Of course it did…. Frogs!!!

Stampin' Up!, So Hoppy Together, Animal Expedition, Jackie Beers

Animal Expedition DSP 146902

Aren’t the little frogs adorable?  I believe they will be the same big hit that last year’s SAB Pandas were.  The name of the stamp set is So Hoppy Together.  I linked to the DSP, because the graph for the stamp set is not available yet.  I will update once I can get that link.

BUT….do you see how wonderfully it pairs with the Animal Expedition DSP?  There are several pieces in that pack of paper which pair beautifully with this set. Hint, Hint….

Thank you so much for stopping by this morning.  I hope you will check back tomorrow.  I will be on time in the morning.

Click on Closeout to see all the specials.

Wedding Wishes

Before I get started on today’s post I wanted to give you a heads up!  I am going to be traveling after today.  I will not return until the end of the month.  Woohoo for me!  A big vacation / girl trip!!  But that means that I will not have new blog postings.  I just have not had the time to plan ahead.  I apologize and I hope you will come back the end of the month when I return.

So for today’s card I have another card from the awesome set Wishing You Well.  I really do love this set. The card I am sharing today is one I gave for a wedding over the weekend.  What better use of “Wishing You Well” than for a bride and groom.

Wishing You Well, 147864

I think of this as a simple elegance.  I hope you do as well.  I utilized the Subtle Textures Embossing folder on the So Safron layer.  The flowers are stamped in Crushed Curry to stand out more.  I then topped each one with a small pearl.

Even though in the picture it looks almost black, the dark layer is Blackberry Bliss which matches the bow.  That bow is my favorite stamp in the entire Stampin’ Up! inventory I believe. 🙂

Thank you for visiting today.  I apologize for going to be absent for a little over two weeks.  I will post some photos when I return.

Frosty Congratulations

I have used one of the stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog that is not necessarily a holiday set.  That sounds confusing!  The set is the First Frost Stamp set.  It has beautiful floral and sentiment stamps.  It also pairs wonderfully and expectedly with the Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper.  The paper is shimmery and just gorgeous.

Frosted Floral , 148420

I have an odd, odder than normal, layout and a mixture of colors.  All of the colors came from this designer series paper.  I love the thistle on here.  It reminds me of Scotland.  And I unintentionally  made a Scottish cross with the glimmer paper.  I really did not plan that.  I was just trying to add some glimmer but not be just a straight piece and to ground the sentiment.

The colors are all from the DSP.  To mimic the thistle on the paper, I colored the stamp with the Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker and then used the Blackberry Bliss one to go over the end of the bud and the little side pieces.

Thank you for visiting today!  I appreciate it and hope you will return.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

Tropical Wreath

I am showcasing two great Stampin’ Up! products today.  The beautiful Designer Series Paper, and the Amazing Stamparatus.  I love, love, love both of these products.  This is a card I shared with my Stamp Club yesterday to show them some special abilities of the Stamparatus.

Stamparatus Wreath, 146276

COLOR COMBINATION:

I added the fourth color to my combination to make the flower pop.  I love Blushing Bride, but it is a bit too shy to POP!

This Tropical Chic DSP is one of my favorites.  I love bright colors and this is right up my alley.  The flower from Colorful Seasons seem to be the perfect flower for this card.  It fit perfectly with the size template I had made for the Stamparatus Wreath technique.

Here is a picture of my template. I think it pretty much explains the process to make your own very easily.  Just find the center, line up the die, cut and turn it from square to diamond and cut again.

Wreath Template for Stamparatus

I hope you will give this technique a try.  There are several videos already out there with directions so I did not create one. I would love to see your version if you decide to try it.   I appreciate you stopping by today and hope you will return tomorrow.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored and folded in hald
  • Spruce layer is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
  • DSP is 1 X 5 1/4, and 3 X 5 1/4
  • Square Spruce layer is 3 X 3
  • White layer is 2 7/8 X 2 7/8

Don’t forget that it is BONUS Days!!  Check out the link below!
