Your Day

Today’s card is the last time I get to share the Kangaroo & Company Bundle with you.  Sadly it’s time is almost over.  I think these stamps are some of the cutest ever in regard to the animals.  And the versatility with the images that fit with it are simply adorable.

Stampin' Up!, kangaroo and company, jackie beers

My plan

This little Kangaroo is so cute.  My thought with the circles is that they match the DSP.  The Designer Series Paper is the Ice Cream Corner DSP.  It is the green ice cream for the stick on the opposite side.  The front of the card was intended to make you wonder what is on the inside.  I think the little envelope, which is part of the stamp and the die sets, lends to that thought.  And the little butterfly is perfect for the delivery!

Here is the inside of the card.

I gave the Mom some gifts to deliver in her little pouch.  I could not decide on the sentiment, so left that off until I needed it.  The gifts could work for either a birthday or a baby shower in my way of thinking.  The gifts are attached to the little piece from the die set which allows the item you are using to be pulled out of the pouch and then returned as well.

Original Idea

My first thought for this card was the same overall, but to be made a square card.  That was great right up until I was going to add the kangaroo on the inside.  Yes, you guessed correctly.  The Mom Kangaroo is too tall.  But here is a picture of that card as well.

The only difference on the front is the cardstock strips.  I felt with the extra space on the larger card, the circle needed to be grounded.  Other than the strips, the layout is the same.  So you get two ideas for the same project and supplies!  What a deal!!

Welcome Baby for FMS409

Today’s card is for a Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I am using a stamp set that you may not have noticed before.  It is a stamp set named Hoot Hoot Hooray and is from the Beginner Brochure.  This is a brochure aimed at the beginner stamper. But I love all of the stamp sets in the brochure.  I will try to begin sharing more of them with you.  You can see the Beginner  Brochure HERE.   The stamp set is in the rear of the pamplet and is so cute.

Here is the Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches 409 challenge:

For the focus, I chose the Welcome baby rocky horse.  I took the “baby” theme to the basics.  I chose to use the old fashioned primary colors.

The background designer series paper is a new one for me.  It is the See A Silhouette DSP.  Oh my, I love it!  The colors are all so vibrant!  It worked perfectly with my primary color theme as that is what the entire pack of DSP is.  A super find for me.

I masked off the sentiment which is attached to the rocky horse.  I wanted them to be separate.  I made a little flag to show the sentiment.  I colored the rocky horse and precious teddy bear with Stampin’ Blends.  Then cut everything using the Layering Circles Dies.

I have not made a square card in a little while.  The sketch appeared to be square, so I liked that idea.  This would be so cute tucked into a baby gift.

AND…..I got to use the new Paper Trimmer for the project.  I promise you, the more I use it, the more I LOVE it!!  I am so happy now that there were problems with the old one.  I liked it, but this one is so much better!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project.

Heaps of Happiness and more

I apologize for being so late posting today.  It has been a crazy morning.  But it has allowed me to update my blog with the DSP Sale Flyer!  WooHoo!  This is one of my favorite times of the year.  It is the very popular Buy 3, and Get 1 Free on Select Designer Series Paper.  The flyer is at the end of the post so you can see which ones to choose from.  My September Host Code is at the bottom as well.

Another AWESOME bit of news is tomorrow is the beginning of the Holiday Catalog!  I cannot wait for you to be able to order these wonderful items.  I want it all!!

Now on to today’s project.  It is a Happy card, and great for showers of any kind.

I love this stamp set!  It is the Birthday Goodness set that has donuts and macarons.  What is not to LOVE??  I wanted to do a variety of colors because I love the different flavors of macarons.  However, the choice of paper made me settle on just two.

I chose the Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow to go with the Daffodil Delight roses.  The designer series paper is a reverse side of one of the Magnolia Lane DSP.

The adorable ribbon combo is actually a Ribbon Combo (HaHa!) from the Magnolia Suite of products.  It is Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo and is the great linen like ribbon with a Mossy Meadow Baker’s Twine to match.

Thank you for checking in today.  Be sure and check out the DSP Sale the starts tomorrow and add it to your list from the Holiday Catalog.  If you do not have a Holiday  Catalog and would like one, please contact me and I will get one to you.

HOST CODE

My September Host Code is VYHZ6ZM2.  Please use this code for orders under $150.00.  I will have a small perk for those with orders over $50.00.

Over The Moon

This is my second post for today.  The first one was about the great specials that Stampin’ Up! has to offer.  You can see that post HERE.

Today’s card is a cutie that I envisioned as soon as I saw this stamp set!  And it fits with all the great updates I mentioned in the earlier post.  I am OVER THE MOON for Stampin’ Up!.

With the color pallet I used, this could very easily be a baby card.  That was not my intention, but all you would need is a sweet “welcome” on the inside and you are finished.

I stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my favorite things, the Stampin’ Blends.  I colored the Moon with Dark Daffodil Delight and then added the little ring around it with the new Light So Saffron.

I am not a cow expert, but think the black and white ones are usually more black than white.  I took creative license and made it white, with a touch of black.  I wanted you to see all the details in the stamp. I gave her a bit of a feminine touch by adding Light Flirty Flamingo to the ears, nose, and mouth.

When I was trying to decide what else was needed, I thought of the moon and had a lightbulb moment that it needed stars.  The perfect stars came from the Twinkle Builder Punch.  It even has a moon that you could punch and use in place of the stamped one.  I thought the stars were the perfect size.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I was absent yesterday due to storm damage.  Luckily it was not to the house.  Sunday we had a lightning strike into the ground about ten feet from the corner of the house.  It fried the air conditioner unit, cable, internet, and an electrical breaker.  Thankfully we have friends who do those things and along with the cable company got up and running by the end of the day on Monday.  For once I was ahead and already had scheduled Monday’s post.

My June Host Code is M2PNZPVT.  Please use this code for orders under $150.00.  I will have a small perk for those with orders over $50.00.

Napkin Fold Baby Gift Tag

Today’s card is a 3 X 3 Gift Tag with the cutest little critter and fold around.  The fold is from my very sweet friend Julie DiMatteo from The Paper Pixie.  She did both the 3 X 3 and a box it fits into.  You can see her wonderful video HERE.  She explains projects wonderfully and it would be a mistake for me to try to do better!!

I needed a baby card and ended up with a card and a gift tag all in one.  Plus it was so much fun to make that I made several of the Napkin ‘folds using different DSP.

Stampin' Up!, A Little Wild, Little Wild, Naturally Eclectic, Jackie Beers

A Little Wild, 144344

I truly adore the cute animal tags in the A Little Wild set and matching dies.  I have used them several times as just individual animals, and am really thrilled with the great tag it makes.  Who knew?  A tag works as a tag!!!  Silly me!!

And here is the Napkin Fold part.  It is very easy, really cute, and as a classic Julie DiMatteo project, it is much easier than it looks!!

.

The inside sentiment and little flower are from the  A Little Wild stamp set as well.  I really love the idea of this being a tag and card.  It is a great way to add a little something extra with the fold.  As I said earlier, I got carried away making these folds and now have several ready to be made into cards for easy Thank You type hand outs.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I greatly appreciate you visiting and your comments.  The animal tags are carrying over into the new catalog.  But alas, the DSP is retiring.  Now is the perfect time to grab up the retiring DSP while it is still available and a bit discounted.

All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

Gift Card For Baby

As part of the Stamping Event I am enjoying today, we are doing a Shoebox Swap tonight.  I decided to make a versatile card.   My card is designed for a baby/Mom & Dad card.  However, by simply changing one stamp it would be changed for almost any occasion.  The Designer Series Paper would work for almost any reason as well.

Better Together, 141736

I know you have seen this card before either from me or others.  It is such a useful and pretty card that it needs repeating periodically I do believe!

With using this beautiful Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper, I really did not want to cover it up.  So I went with simplicity in the focal point on the front which allows the DSP to shine.

And here is a view of the inside and the gift card slot.

Stampin' Up!, Better Together, Jackie Beers

Now you see the gift card slot and will understand the directions listed under Measurements below.  Be sure and add the Tear & Tape close to the edge so you have plenty of room for your gift card.  Although if you do make it too tight, it is not the end of the world….. There is plenty of room for the card to slide in long way also.  Not planned, but a nice unexpected find!!

NOTE:  If you are like me and really love this paper, buy morel now!!!  As it gets closer to the new catalog this, and other items, may sell out.  And they will definitely be retired when the current catalog ends.  Sad, but happy to see what new papers are revealed!

Thank you so much for visiting today!  If you have any questions or comments, I would love to hear from you.  And if you do not currently have a SU Demonstrator, I would love to send you a catalog and help you with any future purchases.

The measurements and the supplies are listed further down.  I hope you have an awesome weekend!!
