I am sure you all dislike the need for sympathy cards as much as I do. However, they are needed more than we wish they were. Today I have one to share. I combined it with a Fun Fold and some gorgeous paper. The card itself can still be a Happy card, even if the occasion is not.
I used the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper as the highlight of this card. The Pretty Peacock card base was chosen as the best choice, I thought, from the colors of the DSP. The stamped flower colors came from there as well.
The stamped flowers are from the Art Gallery stamp set. It is a photopolymer stamp set and that material is a bit difficult to color with the Stampin’ Write Markers as we do with the red rubber stamp sets to get more than one color on a stamp. I don’t know if it was just the colors I chose, but it worked beautifully this time. The flower heads are colored using the Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves are done using the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Marker. (The only negative thing about this is that the markers can only be purchased in the color families, or as the entire set of colors. The only individual color available is Basic Black.) The Terracotta Tile center of the flowers is a separate stamp and I used the terracotta Tile Ink pad for that addition.
Here is a look at the Fun Fold and the inside of the card.
The flowers on the bottom of the inside sentiment layer are the same flowers as the front. I just inked it using the Bumblebee Ink Pad and stamped a little section on the bottom of the White layer.
The front sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set. The inside sentiment, which I think is wonderful, is from the Sale-A-Bration set Heal Your Heart. SAB is over, but there is another two months of SAB later in the year. I do not know if any of the ones from this past will be available at that time. I haven’t been able to find information on that as yet.
Regarding the Fun Fold: I have all of the measurements below. This one is the same principle as one from last week, in that you cut off a section and then use that as the focal layer. You can see the other fold HERE.
Measurements and Directions:
Cut card base of Pretty Peacock to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4. Measure the front flap of the card down 2 3/4 and cut across the from the edge to the score line. Then cut up the score line to remove that section. You will have removed a piece measuring 2 3/4 X 4 1/4. This will be your front focal layer.
Cut White card stock to 5 1/4 X 4 for the inside section of the card.
Cut DSP to 5 1/8 X 3 7/8 for the inside of the card.
Cut White card stock to 2 1/2 X 4 for the bottom flap of the card.
Cut DSP to 2 3/8 X 3 7/8 for the bottom flap
Cut two pieces of White card stock to 2 1/2 X 4. One is for the front focal layer and the other for the inside sentiment layer.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this Fun Fold. I love the fold and the Art Gallery Suite of products. This card would work for any occasion with simply a change of sentiment.

After quite a lot of Christmas cards, today’s project is a Thinking of You type card. A dear young lady injured her leg and I wanted to let her know I was thinking of her. She loves nature and animals, so this card is right up her alley.
Isn’t this little guy adorable? I am not totally sure what he is, but I think a hedgehog??? I just love the expression on that face. I cased the stamped area from the Annual Catalog where the Walk In The Woods stamp set is shown. Sorry, I don’t have it in front of me to say the page number.
I wanted to try some more watercoloring with these images. I used my H clear Stamping Block and just a drop of the ink refills. The new Water Painters are awesome to use! I added a bit of water from the painter and mixed with the color I was using each time. The coverage is wonderful. For the grass and leaves, I began with Shaded Spruce and moved to Old Olive. The mushrooms are Soft Suede, Sahara Sand and Crumb cake. The tops are Cherry Cobbler. For Mr Hedgehog, I also used the Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede.
The cut of the card is a little different and I apologize for not showing the inside. I had written inside before I thought that I had not taken pictures. Duh!!! You can see from how the stamped layer hangs over the front Shaded Spruce, that I have cut the top layer of the card. I cut off about 1 1/2″ I believe. I added a piece of the Classic Christmas Designer Series Paper, I love those little trees, to the inside to show where the front layer is cut off. The Whisper White layer to write on is still plenty large enough for a sentiment and writing.
The front sentiment, which I love because it is a little bit different, is from the Walk In The Woods stamp set. I didn’t show it, but the inside was a sentiment from the Life Is Beautiful set.
I have added the Retiring List from the current Mini Catalog. Simply click on the picture of the list and it will open to the three page list. This list has removed the stamps in other than English as well as the bundles. It is cheaper in this sale to purchase those bundled items separately. If you do place an order, please use my December Host Code. It is further down just above the supply list, and on the right side column if you are viewing on an ipad or larger device.

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed taking a break from Christmas Cards and will return tomorrow for , you guessed it, another Christmas Card!!! Hugs to you all!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s InKing Royalty Blog Hop! I added a little Note that I had a bonus project to share with you today. Using the negatives from the die cut leaves, I created three note cards that are perfect little Thinking Of You type cards. I am making more than three, but these are the three designs.
This one is die cut with Just Jade card stock and the stamping is in Just Jade as well. The plaid is the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. (I used different sheets of the Plaid Tidings for all of the cards.) I also added a Misty Moonlight In Color Enamel Dot to coordinate with the Misty Moonlight in the DSP. There is Just Jade in the DSP also, it just doesn’t show much in the photo.
For this card, I backed the Bumblee card stock with Basic Black to match the Black in the Plaid Tidings DSP. The sentiment is in Memento Tuxedo Black. I also added a Bumblee In Color Enamel Dot. The black and white baker’s twine is from the Playful Pets Trim Combo. It worked perfectly here.
This is the final one. I think this piece of the plaid worked best with the Cinnamon Cider card stock. Due to the length of the stem of this leaf, it needed a touch of something. It received a bow made of Linen Thread . The Bumblebee In Color Enamel Dot seems the best match for the sentiment due to the lighter tones in the plaid. The sentiment is stamped in Cinnamon Cider.
I hope I inspired you to make use of the negatives left from these gorgeous leaves. It is hard for me to choose which I like best, the leaf or the negative! Please let me know your thoughts. I love to hear from you. And please know that even though my responses do not show in the post, I respond by email to every comment. I feel that is a more personal touch.

I have another Sneak Peek for you today. This one is one I skipped over the first time through the Mini Catalog. But when I was seriously looking at everything, I saw it and immediately knew I had to have it.
I did not realize until I was writing this post, that I had used Just Jade on the card from yesterday. It is definitely becoming a favorite for greens. This great set I used today is called Love of Leaves and it is a Bundle. There are four leaves that having matching dies. But there are two dies for each of the leaves. There is this negative cut I used here, which then gives you the die cut leaf. However, there is a detailed leaf as well. It has definition to the cut out leaf. And then there are the leaf stamps and some sentiments. It is a multi-use bundle!!
I went with the simplistic look today. The base of the card is Just Jade, with a layer of Mint Macaron behind the Whisper White and DSP. I die cut the leaf and used the negative. I added some leafy DSP from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper. I love how the stitching around the leaf shape really stands out!
I added the sentiment using Just Jade Ink. . I felt the full strength ink was a bit dark for the stamped leaf. So I “stamped Off” before stamping it next to the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back tomorrow. I will be participating in the InKing Royalty Blog Hop tomorrow. So there will be additional project ideas from some very creative demonstrators for you to check out.

I want to share some sunshine here and make you all relax and hopefully Smile! So the next couple of posts are going to be along those lines. Today I have a daisy, which is simple flower that always makes me smile.
I have a mix of bundles for this card. The Daisy Lane stamp set debuted in a previous catalog as a bundle with the Medium Daisy Punch. Although they are no longer a bundle, they are both in the current catalog. The other is the Many Mates Bundle. It is the sentiment and the background for the daisies. The sentiments for this set are varied and a mix of fonts. The mixed fonts are always a favorite of mine.
I also used the Lovely Label Punch for the sentiment. I adore the two different shapes for the ends of the punch. In case you missed it. I did a tip in one of last weeks posts that shares how to get the equal distance on each end of your sentiment. Click HERE to go to that post. The tip is in the middle of the post.
For the daisies, I punched four daisies to make the two flowers. I fussy cut the small daisy and the fern. The fern was an experiment. I stamped it on Whisper White card stock, and to say it didn’t look good was mild. The white actually shined, in a bad way!! So I used my Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend and went over the entire leaf. I was happy with that. I was trying not to use another set of dies to get some greenery.
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another Smile project.

I have found that while pulling the retiring products, I have found many that I just did not use often enough. Now that they are retiring, I am trying to get one more project from them.
I have used the Above The Clouds Bundle. Punches are my favorite and I hate to see another one going away. But, I was thrilled that the sentiment fit perfectly inside the hot air balloon! That was a Woohoo moment! I did not even remember this sentiment and found it to be a perfect one to share during this unusual time we find ourselves in. So a Win / Win today.
The background DSP is the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper. When I pulled out the folder with this paper, this side was showing through the front. I immediately thought of it as the clouds. Hopefully you see that as well. I paired it with Coastal Cabana, the color in the sheet of DSP , and Pacific Point.
The hot air balloon is stamped with Terracotta Tile Ink. I highlighted the decorations with Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment itself is stamped with Pacific Point ink. I added a couple of the Holiday Rhinestones for a touch of decoration.
By Clicking on the Giveback picture, you will be taken to the page to order this awesome digital download.
Below are links to the two Retiring or Last Chance Lists. Keep in mind, a Bundle may retire, but the stamp set and dies or punch can still carry over. So look for the individual item. Also, all of the Stampin’ Blends are not retiring. It is only that in the new catalog, they will be sold in the combo pack only. The only ones retiring are the 2018-2020 In Color ones.
You may also click on the Shop Now on my Menu bar and be taken to my online store. There you can see all of the Retiring / Last Chance items as well as all other products.
