Friend

I am showcasing the Blended Seasons Bundle for you today.  Time is running out for this awesome set of stamps and die cuts.  The shaped dies are fabulous!  I have another card tomorrow using the negative of the die I have used today.

Blended Seasons Bundle, 149894

I have been using the Mango Melody and Granny Apple Green colors quite a lot lately.  But I am not going to apologize for that!!  I have always used more Bright colors than any of the others and these two are my new favorites.  I think they pair very well for the Fall leaves.

The DSP is from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper, and it matches the texture of the Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon quite well.   My plan was to run the ribbon between the two die shapes so it could be seen more.  Of course I forgot my plan, and attached it as normal.

Thank you for visiting today.  As I said in the beginning, tomorrow’s card is using the negative of the die cut out, so please come back.  Remember that this Bundle is only available through Friday!!  And coincidently the Bonus days coupons run out on Friday also.  Hint: The Bundle itself will get you one of the coupons!!

Thankful For You

I inked up my Bokeh Dots stamp for the first time.  I have read where some people had difficulty getting a good impression.  I used the Stamparatus and a sponge brayer to allow me to ink it extra times if necessary.  I noticed as I did this that it went from very light and not really clear dots to pretty vibrant.  I believe either look would be good.  I wanted to show the dots fairly well, so I inked it several times.  After all of that I was very happy with the outcome.  Then I totally changed the direction I was headed with the card! LOL!  And ended up with this.

Stampin' Up!, Bokeh Dots, Many Blessings, Nature's Poem, Jackie Beers

Bokeh Dots, 148113

I know that the Bokeh is an unexpected background, and color for that matter, to go with a harvest set, but that is where I ended up.

the sentiment and the harvest crate is from the Million Dollar set Many Blessings stamp set in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  The gorgeous DSP is Nature’s Poem.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.  It really was a fairly quick and easy card to create.  That is if you do not change your mind mid card!

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you have an awesome weekend and will come back on Monday to see what is new.  REMEMBER that Bonus Days are running out!  There is only one more week to earn $5.00 on a $50.00 order.  Also the Blended Seasons stamp set will go away next Friday as well.

So Grateful

I have not totally gotten away from the awesome new stamp set Country Home. But….I have only used the sentiment today.  This card is focusing on the absolutely fabulous Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Just Wow!  And yes, I know I say that all the time.  I would apologize, but it is so TRUE!  This current catalog and the upcoming Holiday catalog are just full of gorgeous designer series paper.  So here is today’s card.

Stampin' Up!, Frosted Floral, Country Home, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Jackie Beers

Frosted Floral DSP, 147800

I know it does not show in the photograph, but the paper is pearlized and has a soft shimmer all over it.  My first layout covered a lot of the DSP.  I could not bring myself to do that!  So I changed everything and only added a sentiment and some of the Copper Trim ribbon to complete the card.

Cajun Craze is not in the colors shown as part of the DSP, but I believe it compliments it beautifully.  I used the Nature Roots Framelit from the Rooted In Nature Bundle to create the leaf.  There is a die cut and an impression die for this leaf in the set.  I am still playing with the embossing mat to get the correct set up.  For my first try I believe this one works well enough.

Thank you for visiting today!  I have one more of the Country Home cards to show tomorrow.  And who knows, I may find a final one for Friday.  Stay tuned!!!

You’re The Best

I was so excited when I saw this typewriter set in the new Annual Catalog.  It reminded me of a favorite from a few years ago.  I have made several Thank You 3X3 cards with it that I have not shown here.  So today I have a full size card to share.

P.S. You’re The Best, 146516

I used only the stamps included in the stamp set.  I love being able to complete a card with only one stamp set.  The background blue layer is Balmy Blue stamped with Balmy Blue Ink.  The blue of the center is Balmy Blue Ink applied with an Aqua Painter.

I stamped the typewriter and then used a mask to place over it to stamp the flowers.  One flower is stamped and fussy cut out to give some depth.  They were all colored using Stampin’ Write Markers.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Blog Hop card as well.  Please be sure and check back on Monday, but also next Wednesday is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop.  There will be lots more great ideas for you.

A Fall Blended Season

I debuted the Blended Seasons Bundle during the July InKing Royalty Blog Hop.  You can see that card HERE.   This stamp set is only available during August and While Supplies Last!  The stamps are perfect for Spring/Summer, Fall, and Christmas.  But the Framelits are spectacular.  They match a few of the stamps but the best part are the three layers that are stitched!  They are stitched inside the cutting line and leave stitching around the outside of the cut out.  It’s a super look!  Take a look at today’s Fall inspired card.

Blended Seasons Bundle, 149894

I used one of the layering dies from the matching framelits so you can see the stitching.  The background is the Subtle Embossing Folder.  The leaves are part of the Blended Seasons set as well as the Die Cut leaf.

I stamped the leaves in Cherry Cobbler Ink and then used the Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen to color the leaves.  The sentiment is from the precious Host Stamp Set – Very Vintage.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great weekend and will return to see my Monday project.  All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the page.

Don’t forget about Bonus Days!!!  For every $50.00 you spend (at one time) during August, you will receive a coupon code worth $5.00 to use in September.  It’s like getting paid to shop!

Darling Label Thanks

I adore Stampin’ Up!’s punches.  So I was very excited to see the Darling Label Punch in the new catalog.  Yes, it is a bit pricy.  But you are receiving a Bundle.  You get a precious stamp set that coordinates with the punch.  You also get a beautiful blue and copper tin the bundle is packaged in.  The gorgeous tin is a gift in itself and would be great packaging for a gift to someone special, or yourself!  So here is today’s project showcasing this set.

Darling Label Punch, 146855

The Darling Label punch is the small center one.  I paired it with the Everyday Label Punch.  The stamp is one of the coordinating stamps in the bundle.  I did my first paper piecing in a while.  But I think the dimension it gives was well worth it.

If you are wondering about my background, it is the Clear Block G.  Yes, I used the clear block as a stamp and used my Stampin’ Up! Grid paper to line it up (fairly) straight.   I wanted something a bit different.  The flower is from the Love What You Do stamp set.

Thank you so much for visiting today!  I very much appreciate it and would love for you to leave a comment.  The supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.
