I have found that while pulling the retiring products, I have found many that I just did not use often enough. Now that they are retiring, I am trying to get one more project from them.
I have used the Above The Clouds Bundle. Punches are my favorite and I hate to see another one going away. But, I was thrilled that the sentiment fit perfectly inside the hot air balloon! That was a Woohoo moment! I did not even remember this sentiment and found it to be a perfect one to share during this unusual time we find ourselves in. So a Win / Win today.
The background DSP is the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper. When I pulled out the folder with this paper, this side was showing through the front. I immediately thought of it as the clouds. Hopefully you see that as well. I paired it with Coastal Cabana, the color in the sheet of DSP , and Pacific Point.
The hot air balloon is stamped with Terracotta Tile Ink. I highlighted the decorations with Dark Daffodil Delight and Dark Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends. The sentiment itself is stamped with Pacific Point ink. I added a couple of the Holiday Rhinestones for a touch of decoration.

Below are links to the two Retiring or Last Chance Lists. Keep in mind, a Bundle may retire, but the stamp set and dies or punch can still carry over. So look for the individual item. Also, all of the Stampin’ Blends are not retiring. It is only that in the new catalog, they will be sold in the combo pack only. The only ones retiring are the 2018-2020 In Color ones.
You may also click on the Shop Now on my Menu bar and be taken to my online store. There you can see all of the Retiring / Last Chance items as well as all other products.

I have seen quite a few cards in the last week with a Rainbow background. I decided to give it a shot myself. I am not the greatest with watercolor backgrounds, but am quite happy with the results.
The sentiments that I used are from the New Early Release of the Ornate Suite of products. This is the Ornate Thanks stamp set. You can get it all now, or wait until the next Annual Catalog, which is not very far away!! I do love the mix of the bold and the cursive fonts.
My background is made using all of the 2018-2020 In Color re-inkers. These colors will be going away with the end of the current Annual Catalog. Actually they will probably be gone before then. Usually everyone decides at the Retiring List debut that they need to stock up on the colors they love. The In Colors retiring are usually the first to go. And as you can see, these colors are all bright and gorgeous. I recommend that if you like these…..order them now!
For the background, I put a drop of each ink color on my Clear Block “H”. I then used my Aqua Painter with water to pick up each color and add it to the Shimmery White card stock. (You can use water or alcohol in your aqua painter. Alcohol dries quicker, but at the same time occasionally dries too quickly) You can use Watercolor Paper, and it may work better, but I love the shimmery effect you get as a bonus. I went in the order of colors I thought would look best. I am not sure how a rainbow goes 🙂
The ribbon is from the 2018-2020 colors as well. I used the Grapefruit Grove as the base and then added little strips of the Pineapple Punch and Blueberry Bushel. A great look with very little ribbon use.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you were able to enjoy the Easter weekend.

I have another Springtime card to share today. I have also used another one of the products from the Early Release Suite, Ornate Gardens. Yesterday I used the Designer Series Paper. Today I am using the Ornate Layers Dies. At this one at a time rate, I will have used them all by the end of the month. 🙂
The Ornate Layers Dies are fabulous. The newer dies also seem to be, at least to me, sharper than the old dies. It makes for an easier release of all the little pieces. I also had a Wahoo find for the sentiment layer. The smaller of the Stitched Rectangle Dies fits perfectly inside this Ornate layer.
Here is a picture of the die I used.
The sentiment is the only stamp I used from the Free As A Bird set, but I believe it is a great one for so many people during this unusual situation. From the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper, I used two different sheets. They are layered on a piece of Whisper White, and then onto a piece of So Saffron to match the Ornate Layer.
I used the Braided Burlap Trim to ground the sentiment and join the two pieces of DSP. It also gives a little nod to the bird colors.
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you find some crafting time over the weekend, or whatever you can do to relax.

Stampin’ Up! has a new Early Release Product Suite that I wanted to share with you. I know if you are on the internet you have seen several projects from other demonstrators using this suite. It is gorgeous and I wanted to share and quick card I made using the Designer Series Paper that is included in this suite. You know I love the Stampin’ Up! DSP !
Before we get to the card, here is the flyer for the suite of products.
And here is the card I have made.
There are gorgeous and very detailed dies as part of the Ornate Garden Suite of products. However, I had it in my mind to use the Perfectly Framed sentiment. And since that stamp set pairs with the Ornate Frames Dies that carried over from the Holiday Catalog, I decided to go with my original plan.
When I first saw this Designer Series paper, I thought of the two daisy stamp sets that are in the Annual Catalog. I looked at both and thought the Daisy Lane stamp set was a perfect match. The angled daisy matches the daisy in the DSP.
I layered my card with colors from the DSP. I know that is a big shock to you!! I always do that. I chose the Old Olive as the card base and then went with Rococo Rose for the coordinating color. The DSP says it is Terracotta Tile, but I found that the Rococo Rose was a perfect match as well. I used the Rococo Rose stampin’ Blends to color the daisy on the sentiment band.
Thank you for stopping in today. Let’s all pray that this virus is over quicker than expected and we can all take back our lives. I love staying inside and crafting, but I know there are many people feeling huge hardships from this.

Reminder: There are only today and tomorrow left in Sale-A-Bration!! There are some great items left that you can get Free of charge with a qualifying order.
For today’s card, I am focusing on two items from Sale-A-Bration. They are the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set and the matching Lily Impressions Designer Series paper. The paper is absolutely gorgeous. I love bright colors and the paper has several bright colors in it.
The DSP is the star of the card, and I loved being able to pair Granny Apple Green with the Blackberry Bliss. As I said at the beginning, I adore this Designer Series Paper.
The sentiment layer is a mix of a water lily from the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set and the Thank You from Peaceful Moments Stamp Set. The stamps in the Lovely Lily Pad are dual sided. So the flat side is the shading and the raised side is the definition. I stamped the lily pad with the background of Pool Party, and the definition in Bermuda Bay. The same works for the lily itself. The background is Flirty Flamingo and the definition is Lovely Lipstick. I think that is an awesome method to get the perfect shading to a stamp.
My prior planning did not work out for the sentiment layer. I had planned to use a certain die to cut out the lily and Thank You. It did not fit after I had stamped everything. Then I could not find one that I did like. So I turned to my paper snips and just free form cut it out. I was not too unhappy with the result. I believe the abstract of the DSP lends a help there!
Thank you for stopping by today. Double check your wish list and see if there is a need for another order before the Free items are gone for another year.

Hello Everyone! It is so good to be back to stamping! If you are new to me, I had hip replacement surgery two weeks ago. Actually two weeks ago today. I am recovering wonderfully! I have been pleasantly surprised how easy it has been so far. So woohoo!!
It was so hard to know that my stamps were only a floor below me and I had to wait a while to get to them. I made it on Sunday, but didn’t get everything finished. My first card was a Thank You card for a friend who was sweet to include me in an event that I thought I would have to miss.
For a quick card there is nothing better than Designer Series Paper scraps and the Stampin’ Up! Notecards and Envelopes. My desk was left in a bit of a mess. But for once it worked in my favor. The DSP is the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. It is two sides of different sheets. The scalloped tag is from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. It was also an extra that was leftover from my Stamp Club.
I had stamp club the Sunday before my surgery and didn’t really get everything put away. The DSP, and the extra pieces that I had cut were still on my desk. Easy Peasy for a card! I stamped the sentiment, which is from Dressed To Impress, as is the flowers. The flowers are colored with Stampin’ Blends.
I layered the DSP a variety of ways and then thought of this layout with a scrap square. Perfect fit. A quick and cute card.
