Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around NEW. With the launch of Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog, NEW gives us the opportunity to showcase new products and play with new colors. There are also new occasions (babies, weddings, graduations) to celebrate, so you are going to see a variety of projects in this hop. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card reflects two of the NEW theme ideas. I am showcasing a NEW stamp set, Winds of Change. I looked at this set when I received my catalog and it was a must have. As you know, I love to color with the Stampin’ Blends, and this set is perfect for coloring. I also LOVE to travel. Next month I am going on another Viking River Boat Cruise. And we begin in Amsterdam! I have never been to Amsterdam before, so this is my second NEW for the theme. I am so excited about the trip, and am equally excited to share my card idea with you.
Even the sentiment on the card goes along with the theme! I googled Amsterdam and looked at all of the windmills for some color inspiration. They are typically brownish, but the blades can be different colors. I added just a touch of the Granny Apple Green to my blades to match the bottom section of the windmill building.
All of the pictures I saw were in vibrant colors, so that is what I went with. I always prefer a mix of colors in flowers, so I mixed my tulips and then added a whimsical touch with the butterfly. The butterfly is from the Hold On To Hope stamp set and the Cross of Hope Framelits. I colored it with Granny Apple and Daffodil Delight markers then die cut it.
The sentiment is done with my favorite new technique. I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and cut to fit the size I needed. (As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, there are several videos out there on how to do this little trick).
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the bloghop, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:
Today is one of those days that you can be happy and sad. It is the last day of the current Annual Catalog. Some items are still available in the Retiring List, and have even been discounted. Tomorrow is the NEW Annual Catalog. It has awesome new products and carry overs of others. Personally, I cannot wait to start exploring the NEW stuff!!
Today I am saying a fond farewell to one of the stamp sets I really love. It is Amazing Life. I like the sentiments and the little “accessory” stamps. The one I am sharing is a super easy card, my favorite type of card.
See how easy this card is? It is the perfect card layout for large sentiments or designs that you want to be the focal point. And it doesn’t hurt that the designer series paper is gorgeous!
I chose all the colors from the Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack. The base layer is Soft Sea Foam. The frame for the DSP is Shaded Spruce. I decided to go with a third color to frame the sentient layer instead of sticking with the Shaded Spruce. So I added Pacific Point for that layer. The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce as well.
Thank you for stopping in today. I really appreciate it. As always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.
My June Host Code is M2PNZPVT . Please use this code for orders under $150.00. I will have a small perk for those with orders over $50.00.

I hope you all have received the new Stampin’ Up! Catalog. I think it is awesome!! I was thrilled with the carryover stamps and the new ones are wonderful. If you do not have a catalog, and do not have a demonstrator, please let me know. I would love to get one of these new catalogs to you.
Today I am sharing another of the new stamp sets. It is the Sailing Home suite of products. You do not need to be a sailing fan to love this set. I have seen some gorgeous samples with it. My card today is very simple layout.
I used the Sailing Home Bundle and the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper. I love this sentiment. It would work for many occasions, or just a Thinking of You! The stitched look around the sentiment shape was a surprise to me. LOL! I guess I had not looked very closely at the photos in the catalog.
The rope and anchor are part of the dies. I love the embossing on the rope. The anchor has the required loop at the top so you could tie rope through it. I simply pushed the end of the knot through the hole to give that appearance. Easy Peasy!!
The CLEARANCE RACK is getting an update today with some Price Reductions included. Be sure to check it out.
Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate you visiting to see my projects. I will NOT have a project for tomorrow, but will be back on Monday. I hope you have a great weekend.

I returned from a FABULOUS trip to Charlotte for the Stampin’ Up! OnStage Event. I was surrounded but a large group of Demonstrators who were all so thrilled to be there. The weather was not too hard on us and fun was had!
We did a card swap in my group and I forgot to take a picture of the card I made. However, I used the same basic card with my Stamp Club last week. So I am sharing that version. It is really the same, just different Designer Series Paper. I will say that using different paper gives it a very different look. I don’t know why that is. Today’s version is very bright!
This Little Piggy, 143922
I adore This Little Piggy! And am THRILLED to share with you that it is carrying over into the new Annual Catalog. WooHoo!!! Seeing the catalog early, and let me tell you that it is AWESOME, is one of the best reasons to be a SU Demonstrator!
Back to the card!! I stamped the piggy and colored her with the Stampin’ Blends. You may not be able to see from the photograph, but I added Wink Of Stella to her wings. Wings should sparkle!! And that is pretty much it. I have the measurements for the DSP listed below.
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you like this card. It is a great way to use up scrap DSP, and the small pieces we cut off when trimming layers. I have listed all of the supplies at the bottom of the post. I have also added a HOST CODE if you would like to place an order with me. If you do not currently have a SU Demonstrator I would love to help you and if you will let me know, I will send you a new catalog next month when they become available.
Measurements:
Base layer is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2
Layer is 4 1/4 X 5 3/8
Dsp is 4 X 5 1/4, cut into 2 pieces of roughly 1/3 and 2/3 . I simply flipped over one piece for the two DSP you see. You can always mix and match if you are doing multiples.
The strip is 1/2 X 4 of coordinating card stock, or you could use a strip of ribbon if you prefer.
Pig layers are 2 3/4 X 3 and 2 5/8 X 2 7/8
If you place an order with me, please use the April Host Code of 3KNKXJFH. If your order is $75.00 (of product) or more, I will send you a small gift. If it is over $150.00 (of product) I will send you a small gift, but DO NOT use the code. 150.00 is the minimum host rewards so you get the host rewards.
Welcome to the Pals’ April Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we love to put our ”Families First”! Our Design Team created beautiful projects to inspire you. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My project for today’s Blog Hop is a Mother’s Day card. My Mom passed away way many years ago and I miss her every day. She was one of the strongest women I have ever known and the best Mom ever. Making this card and especially this sentiment was a great reminder of her and many of the really strong women I know.
Strong & Beautiful, 148732
I was pleasantly surprised at how soft this card looks competed. And that is using a base of Rich Razzleberry. Apparently soft does not have to be a light or subtle color. This is a card that evolved as I went.
My first thought was the center vellum with the pink and razzleberry flowers. That became the color choices. Then I decided to try the pink lace vellum as the main layer. I played around with it and it really needed the white underneath it to make it really show off. I decided to place white underneath the center vellum and it made that one pop as well. Wow! Who knew?
To give some dimension to the sentiment area, I added a couple of punches using the Leaf Punch. It is also done using DSP from the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper. This is a really fabulous pack of paper.
Thank you so much for hopping along with us today! The complete line up is below. Please continue on the Blog Hop. Also, we love to read your comments on our projects, so please take a minute to say something! Finally, all of the supplies I used today are listed at the bottom of the post.
Today’s card is showcasing the gorgeous Painted Season stamp set. If you do not have this set, I strongly suggest you think about it quickly. It goes away at the end of the month. I apologize that the photos do not do the definition on the stamps justice. It is one of the prettiest flowers that is in the Stampin’ Up! products right now.
Painted Season 149722
As I said above, the photo is not quite clear enough to see the great detail on the flower. So you will have to trust me. The other stamps are just as defined. The leaves I stamped here are in Soft Sea Foam, so they really do not show up well in the photo. Sorry about that.
This card is done with a technique I have not used in many years. It goes back to my beginning in stamping and is tearing the paper. Did you ever make cards with that touch added to them? For this one I tore a piece of copy paper to lay across the Whisper White piece. I then stamped the images over the paper. After I removed the torn piece, I came back and stamped the sentiment and little leaves on each end of it.
The sentiment is from Flowering Desert and just seemed to strike me as perfect. I thought of these flowers as beautiful from the first one I stamped. So of course when I saw the sentiment, I knew it was the one to use.
