Lovely Tri-Fold Floral

The card I am sharing today is a bit smaller than an A2 as I had to adjust the measurements. I cased from an Australian Demonstrator , Alisa Tilsner, this fun fold that she made with a 12 X 12 cardstock. I wanted to use the normal 8 1/2 X 11, so some measuring took place. It did not strain my brain too much though. This card is still fun and beautiful even if it is a tad smaller.

The front really showcases the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. And the other views share the Lovely Blossoms DSP.

The first opening showcases this gorgeous piece of the DSP. And there is one more opening to see the sentiment.

You can add another DSP or more white writing space on the left panel if you wish.

Lovely Arrangements Bundle

I mentioned the Lovely Arrangements Bundle. There are flowers and sentiments that are used here today, but some additional ones as well. I love the flowers as I used them, which is stamped in Secret Sea Ink. To highlight some areas I used a Blender Pen to pull out the color from the details.

The Die set from this Bundle is just as wonderful. The fun layer behind the flowers is a Die from the set. I love the uniqueness of it. Then of course a die for each of the flowers and leaves. As well as the sentiment layer Die. I love that long oval shape.

Lovely Blossoms Designer Series Paper

This paper showcases floral patterns as well as more solid sheets. I have used both on my card. The Cloud Cover background of the floral layer used is my favorite. That color adds such a softness to the flowers. I also shared the Mossy Meadow one that has a Linen look to it. These are perfect together. And the added bonus of Secret Sea is fabulous. It is one of my current favorite colors to use.

Measurments

I mentioned that I had to tweak the measurements to get this to fit 11″ instead of 12″. Here are the ones I came up with . The card base is 11 X 5 and scored at 1 3/8, 4 3/8, and 7 3/8. To add the layers and DSP as I did you need 1 1/4 X 4 7/8 then 1 X 4 5/8 for the front panel. The next two panels are the same of Secret Sea at 2 3/4 X 4 7/8. Then the DSP floral is 2 1/2 X 4 5/8. For the signature layer it is 3 1/2 X 4 7/8 Secret Sea and then 3 1/4 X 4 5/8 of White and 3/4 X 4 5/8 of DSP.

There is a choice on the center panels that are back to back. I, and the Australian Demonstrator, adhered them together. You could leave them apart for a more accordian card. There are always options to choose from!

Just Because

Card making is something I do because I love it. I was wowed and in love from the first home party I went to many years ago. Since I have been busy with the houses and not stamping as much I have felt the lack of being me. Now that I am stamping regularly again I am back to my happy place. Today’s card is one that fits my feelings. It is a card for no reason other than “Just Because” . I believe there are quite a lot of people that would appreciate a simple Just Because card.

Beautifully Celebrated

These layering Dies are from the Beautifully Celebrated Die set. There are flowers and other pieces to the set, but I wanted these lovely layering pieces. For me the layers make the card. I used three different sheets from the Mixed Up Patterns Designer Series Paper. Not really sure why I chose to add Strawberry Slush to the Balmy Blue, but it works.

Gallery Blooms

The single floral stem is from the Gallery Blooms Bundle. I sponged the colors using Sponge Daubers and stamped a couple of times to get the right colors. There are some bleeding over, but I am ok with that. Handmade cards are not perfect. At least mine are not!

The stem is cut using the matching Die from the Bundle. I did raise it from the layers using Stampin’ Dimensionals for some depth. And I added a double Linen Thread Bow for texture. To add a simple bow to a single flower is something I tend to always do.

Sentiment

This sweet and perfect sentiment is one that is in the February Product of the Month. I hope you have grabbed this set entitled Fabulous Sayings. There is a great mix of sentiments in this set. It is only $5.00 with a $75.00 order. And it is while supplies last. But if it does not sell out in February, it will still be available in March while supplies last.

Extras

I have already mentioned the Linen Thread as the first Extra for today. The other are Rhinestones. These are something that I love but forget when there are new embellishments to play with. However they are definitely one to keep in your stash. They work with almost any card layout. Some really shiny bling is never wrong!

Sweet Blooms

I am still loving the Stone & Vines Embossing Folder. It pairs with so many stamp sets. Today’s card is a “lovely” one mixing the vines along with Sweet Blooms. I am loving the mix of colors for this one as well.

The Sweet Blooms Bundle

This great bundle is from the Annual Catalog. Since I was packed up for the move several months I have missed playing with quite a lot from the catalog. So I am going back through and finding wonderful products. This is one of them. The sentiment is stamped and fussy cut, then paired with the “lovely” die cut from the matching Die set. These are more spread out than I would normally arrange them. But I did not want to cover up the floral part any more than necessary. It took some playing around.

Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper

The sentiments are stamped or die cut, and that is all of the stamping other than the inside of this card. The pretty floral arrangement is die cut or fussy cut from the DSP. I wish I could color the flower as beautiful as the pink one is. So I opted to let the professionals do it for me. LOL!!

Stone & Vines Embossing Folder

Once again I have turned to this wonderful new 3D embossing folder. And it is really 3D! Actually this one was embossed at the same time as the previous card using this folder. Having used the two tone Garden Green cardstock, I did one from each side to show the different colors. Although the center of that cardstock is white as you can see from the definition of the leaves. This is the darker of the two sides. You can see the previous card HERE.

Extras

The card base is Petunia Pop to match the flower. I am thrilled with how well it pairs with the Garden Green. To further that pairing, I used the Garden Green Chevron Ribbon to wrap around the layer a couple of times. This was a perfect grounding for the flowers. The final Extra is the bling. This is once again the Sparkle Dot Essentials. I love these with their extra sparkle, the different colors, and sizes, plus they are flat. Many wins all in one with these embellishments.

Joy To My Heart

My card for today is a birthday card for a sweet friend. I can share it now as she would have already received it. There are several products mixed together for this one. Two stamp sets, a Die set and some different DSP layers.

Stampin' Up!, poised peony, so sincere, in color flat pearls, perennial postage, floral delight, daffodil delight satin ribbon, beautiful bokeh, peach pie, jackie beers

STAMPS

There are two stamp sets used here and only two things stamped. LOL!! I only had to stamp the front and inside sentiments. The sentiments are an important part of the card though. I love a fun, pretty font as you know. The front sentiment is from the Poised Peony stamp set. I like the bit of bold and sort of scribbled look. It seems like something I would hand write myself.

The inside sentiment is a really sweet one. And it is a mix of fonts. That is a favorite of mine. It is from the So Sincere stamp set. This is a set that I highly recommend. It is only sentiments and they are really nice ones. I am so thankful for the people I know that bring joy to my heart.

PAPERS

This card is a Fun Fold and there are a few different papers used. The card base is Peach Pie that is 4 1/4 X 11 and scored at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. Fold it into a Z and you have the card base. The top layer is another piece of Peach Pie. I used this since you will see the back of it when it is open. It measures 5 X 3 3/4.

For the front Fun layer, I used a piece of DSP from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper. The green is the reverse of the one of the floral pieces. It was the same 5 X 3 3/4 before being Die Cut. The yellow layer is actually another DSP. This one is from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper. It is a variegated yellow and really soft looking.

To finish this top layer, I fussy cut from a sheet of the Floral Delight some flowers to add on. This is one that was in a corner of the sheet. So I left the left and bottom straight and just did a little fussy cutting around the other sides. The final step was adding the sentiment that was another Die Cut from Basic White.

The inside has the same green DSP as a layer. I wanted to be consistent with my theme. The layer of Basic White has another fussy cut flower from the Floral Delight DSP. It is from a separate sheet and another corner flower.

EXTRAS

The main item of Extra today is the Perennial Postage Dies. I used the two largest for the front layers. The green and the yellow are those large ones. Then I used a smaller one to fit on the side with the sentiment.

For a touch of softness, I added a bow using the Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon. It helps highlight the flower shading. And the final Extra is the bling. I was different today and added a straight line of different size bling. These are the new 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. I love them!!! The Darling Duckling is a new yellow that is a little brighter as you can see.

Lovely Birthday

Today’s card features a mix of some of the new Online Exclusives. The background is the fun Pattern of Friendship Die. I surprised myself and tried running the Die in both directions. The results were a happy one!

Stampin' Up!, pattern of friendship, lovely garden, textures notes, antique pearls, natural tones linen thread, jackie beers

STAMPS & DIES

There are two different Die sets used on this card. They are both new Online Exclusives. Since I mentioned the background layer, I will begin with the Pattern of Friendship Bundle. This Die is the only Die in the Bundle. It makes stripes of the fun pattern. However it is easy to line up in the opposite direction to create this plaid look.

The sentiment is also from the Pattern of Friendship Bundle. I really like this fun font. At first glance it may just look like a bold print. But if you look closer the corners are all rounded. This makes for a softer, and more fun, look.

To give the sentiment layer a little bit of texture, I went back to the Textured Notes Dies. These are several rectangle Dies in various sizes for easy layering. And each one has a different detail around the edge. This is one of the smallest ones from the set.

PAPERS

These purple colors were chose for the recipient. She is a purple person. The card base is Highland Heather. There is a thin layer of Garden Green to pick up the leaves of the flowers. And the Die cut layer is Fresh Freesia.

The pretty pink flowers are from t he Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper. I fussy cut this piece to layer on the front. By placing it, and the sentiment, a bit lower it allows the Die cut background to stand out.

EXTRAS

To play off of the green leaves again, I stamped the bold sentiment in the Garden Green as well. Then to add a bit more to the sentiment layer, I chose the green from the Natural Tones Linen Thread. A single bow was the right touch.

The bling is a bit more than my normal. With more of the open space I decided to add five blings instead of my normal three. These are the Antique Pearls. I like the softer sheen of these. And they are a bit flatter than regular pearls.

Splendid Birthday

Reminder that we are nearing the end of Sale-A-Bration!! And the additional FREE product choices Stampin’ Up! added for this month are some amazing products!

I have occasionally started my cards using scraps. Today is sort of one of those type cards. I found strips from the Splendid Autumn DSP on my desk. Scraps of DSP make great options for quick cards. This is one of those.

Stampin' Up!, Splendid Autumn, fern embossing, loveliest tree, purple shimmer gems, bakers twine, jackie beers

STAMPS

The only stamping on the front of this sweet card is from the Loveliest Tree stamp set. I love a simple birthday sentiment. And yes I know they are in a lot of different stamp sets. But the different sizes and fonts always intrigue me. Plus I sell my retired sets so lose some of those sentiments that way. This mix of small printed Happy with the gorgeous scripted Birthday just spoke to me.

PAPERS

These DSP strips are actually the star of the card. They are from the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper pack. These were buried on the back of my desk form a previous project of who knows when! They measure 1 1/2 X 4 3/4 and 1 3/8 X 4 1/2. Since daffodils are blooming in my yard, I saw these daisies as another sign of Spring. (Although we are scheduled for another round of really cold this week)

The card base is Fresh Freesia and the layer is Lemon Lolly. Both of these colors are pulled from the daisy piece of DSP. And there are many options for other color combinations from just that small strip of paper.

EXTRAS

The first of my Extras today is the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. This is used on the Lemon Lolly and really stands out. I love the detail it has. The next Extra is the punched ends of the sentiment strip. It is made using the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. * This is a current option for the Sale-A-Bration Free product choices!! Next is the Bakers Twine bow behind the sentiment. Finally is the purple Shimmer Gems that are a favorite of mine.
