Table Accessories

I have a different type post for you today.  It is paper crafted table accessories.  Wether or not we are ready for the holidays, they are quickly approaching.  This means a variety of special dinners or gatherings.  For me at least, these tend to be more the buffet style.  And that brings me back to the topic.

Stampin' Up!, A Big Thank You, Nature's Poem, Darling Label such, Everyday Label much, Leaf punch, Trio punch, Jackie Beers

A Big Thank You, 147377

I paired two super projects together.  The Hand Sanitizer is from Julie DiMatteo (The Paper Pixie) and the silverware holder is my design.  You can see Julie’s post HERE  for her fabulous video tutorial.  I created the napkin/utensil holder based on something a friend had.  I widened it so that it will hold more utensils.  My photo has clear plastic utensils (sorry about that in terms of being able to see them!) and a napkin easily.

Obviously you could change up the colors for both of these projects to suit your occasion.  The utensil holder is great for buffets as I mentioned earlier.  This way everything is together and you do not drop the lose pieces.  And of course, we can always use the hand sanitizer!

I have the measurements for the napkin/utensil holder listed below.  Again, Julie has a great video on making the hand sanitizer holder if you click the link above.  They are both very easy to make and the decorations can be up to you.  I hope you will give them both a try.

Thank you for visiting today.  I very  much appreciate it and hope you will continue to stop by and check out my projects.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Crumb Cake base is 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 6 and 10.
  • Fold and burnish the scorelines.  The 1″ piece folds to the front.
  • Using Tear & Tape, place the tape against the edge of the section between the two score lines.  Before adhering, place a folded napkin inside. This gives you room for the napkin, etc without tearing the envelope.
  • Prior to taping down the little flap, wrap the ribbon and secure it.
  • The DSP is 3/4 X 4 for the little flap and 3 X 4 for the front
  • Round the top corners wit the Detailed Trio Punch

Harvest Thanks

I have a quick and bright card to share with you today.  I inked up the Falling For Leaves stamp set for the first time.  I can just imagine several ways of using the large leaf.  Oh My!!  But today’s is quick, and simple.  I am not saying clean though.  LOL !!  I did the smooshing technique and I usually get a little messy with that.

Falling For Leaves, 147680

As you can see, my smooshing is messy!  I intentionally only did it to one side for a bit different look.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, and Calypso Coral re-inkers for the technique.  I actually made a couple of backgrounds at the same time.  This one turned out the best I believe.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I greatly appreciate it.  All of the supplies I used, as limited as they are, are at the bottom of the post.  I hope you will come back tomorrow to see a new project.

Thankful For You

I inked up my Bokeh Dots stamp for the first time.  I have read where some people had difficulty getting a good impression.  I used the Stamparatus and a sponge brayer to allow me to ink it extra times if necessary.  I noticed as I did this that it went from very light and not really clear dots to pretty vibrant.  I believe either look would be good.  I wanted to show the dots fairly well, so I inked it several times.  After all of that I was very happy with the outcome.  Then I totally changed the direction I was headed with the card! LOL!  And ended up with this.

Stampin' Up!, Bokeh Dots, Many Blessings, Nature's Poem, Jackie Beers

Bokeh Dots, 148113

I know that the Bokeh is an unexpected background, and color for that matter, to go with a harvest set, but that is where I ended up.

the sentiment and the harvest crate is from the Million Dollar set Many Blessings stamp set in the upcoming Holiday Catalog.  The gorgeous DSP is Nature’s Poem.  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.  It really was a fairly quick and easy card to create.  That is if you do not change your mind mid card!

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you have an awesome weekend and will come back on Monday to see what is new.  REMEMBER that Bonus Days are running out!  There is only one more week to earn $5.00 on a $50.00 order.  Also the Blended Seasons stamp set will go away next Friday as well.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • Base of Crumb Cake is 81/2 X 5 1/2 Folded in half
  • White layer is 4 X 5 1/4
  • DSP layer is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
  • Crumb Cake small layer is 3 5/8 X 2 5/8
  • White layer is 3 1/2 X 2 1/2

So Grateful

I have not totally gotten away from the awesome new stamp set Country Home. But….I have only used the sentiment today.  This card is focusing on the absolutely fabulous Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Just Wow!  And yes, I know I say that all the time.  I would apologize, but it is so TRUE!  This current catalog and the upcoming Holiday catalog are just full of gorgeous designer series paper.  So here is today’s card.

Stampin' Up!, Frosted Floral, Country Home, Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Jackie Beers

Frosted Floral DSP, 147800

I know it does not show in the photograph, but the paper is pearlized and has a soft shimmer all over it.  My first layout covered a lot of the DSP.  I could not bring myself to do that!  So I changed everything and only added a sentiment and some of the Copper Trim ribbon to complete the card.

Cajun Craze is not in the colors shown as part of the DSP, but I believe it compliments it beautifully.  I used the Nature Roots Framelit from the Rooted In Nature Bundle to create the leaf.  There is a die cut and an impression die for this leaf in the set.  I am still playing with the embossing mat to get the correct set up.  For my first try I believe this one works well enough.

Thank you for visiting today!  I have one more of the Country Home cards to show tomorrow.  And who knows, I may find a final one for Friday.  Stay tuned!!!

Milk Can

Oh My !!  I knew as soon as I saw the Country Home stamp set that it had to come to my house.  But actually playing with it is even better than I expected.  And the milk can is my all time favorite.  I have an old milk can that my Mother had probably 50 years ago.  Another reason I love this set.

Country Home, 147678

I paired this sweet set with the Country Lane Designer Series Paper, as well as the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder.  I could not resist using the Cotton in the DSP to pair with the Cotton in the arrangement in the milk can.

A great bonus to his sweet stamp set is that it is photopolymer.  This makes aligning images so easy.  I was able to perfectly align the flowers on the top of the milk can.  Easy Peasy!!  I stamped everything in Smoky Slate Ink to have a softer outline.  Coloring everything with the Stampin’ Blends is so easy.  They leave no lines and you do not need to be a professional to blend them.  I thought of dried cotton stems so I went over those with the light Crumb Cake Blend. I don’t believe you can tell from the photo but I used Wink of Stella on the white for the cotton.

Thank you for visiting today!  I hope you will return tomorrow and see another Country Home card.  All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.  Please do not forget about Bonus Days!!!  If you place an order during August, you will receive a $5.00 coupon for every $50.00 you spend at one time.

MEASUREMENTS:

  • The base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored and folded in half
  • The first layer is 4 X 5 1/4
  • The Cotton DSP background is 2 7/8 X 4 1/8 and the DSP is 2 3/4 X 4
  • The milk can background is 2 1/4 X 4 1/8 and milk can layer is 2 1/8 X 4

Blessings

Today’s card is a sneak peek at one of the stamp sets I was anxious to get my hands on.  It has a 3D look to the bow that intrigued me.  And Yes, it really does have that look so it appears like a real bow.  I am not sure if you can tell from the photograph though.

Wishing You Well, 147864

There are a couple of newer stamp sets that have this look, but the bow seems to really look 3D and I adore it!  I see this stamp set in every season of the year.  This one is definitely a keeper for me.

I love this sentiment as well.  It is from the new Many Blessings stamp set.  Today as a SU Demonstrator,  we get to register for the Stampin’ Up! 30th Anniversary On Stage Celebration.  I feel it is a Blessing that I get to do something that I love so much, and share it with all of you.  Plus I have met some really amazing people, customers and fellow demonstrators, that have become great friends.  So Yay for today.

Now back to the card.  I paired one of my favorite new colors, Mango Melody with Fresh Fig.  I have not used Fresh Fig very often and each time I ask myself why I have not.  It is a great color.  The DSP is from the Country Lane Suite.  Another Must Have stamp set, Bundle, I want it all!!!

The little sprigs were added for just a little texture.  They are made with the new Sprig Punch which is part of the Frosted Suite.  An unexpected, but nice add on for a lot of layouts.

Thank you for visiting today.  I appreciate it very much.  Normally my supplies are listed at the bottom of the page.  But because these are not available yet, I had difficulties getting the links.  Once I can figure that out I will update this post.  So sorry!!
