Sweet Treat

I have fallen into the not knowing what day it is.  I have been working on projects the last few weeks and have several ready to go.  They are just not blogged about.  So sorry for being late on this early Monday morning.

I have had some different treats in mind for the sweet Printed Gusseted Cello Bags.  These bags are adorable and are part of the Birthday Bonanza Suite of Products.  A large variety of items will fit in them.  For me it was all about the tag.  Here is my Sweet Treat for you.

And here is a closer look at the tag.

This was a very quick project, which I love!  But it is also great for leftover designer paper.  I have used the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper.  For the flap, I used Terracotta Tile Card Stock to fold over the top of the bag and secured with a hand held stapler.  Any desk stapler will do for this.  I then layered a piece of the DSP over top of the card stock and secured it with multipurpose glue.

The tag is from the Bonanza Dies.  I cut the tag itself from Thick Whisper White card stock.  I placed a strip of the DSP ,that had been cut from sizing the flap layer, across the center of the tag. I used the dies to cut a sweet koala bear from the DSP and added him with some dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Little LadyBug stamp set from Sale-A-Bration.  The word bubbles are from the Bonanza Dies as well.

To finish the tag, I added Gray Granite Textile Weave Ribbon through the tag hole .  I wanted a little extra, so added a piece of the Grapefruit Grove 1/8″ ribbon and tied a bow around the larger ribbon.  The tag is secured to the bag topper with a couple of dimensionals.  I thought the tag itself could be a cute little bookmark as well.  I have used this tag previously and folded it for a gift tag.  You can see that project HERE

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you can smile from this cute little koala.  I wish I could send one to all of you.  As an old Stampin’ Up! stamp said “Keep Calm and Stamp On” !

You Are Wonderful

Stampin’ Up! has a new Early Release Product Suite that I wanted to share with you.  I know if you are on the internet you have seen several projects from other demonstrators using this suite.  It is gorgeous and I wanted to share and quick card I made using the Designer Series Paper that is included in this suite.  You know I love the Stampin’ Up! DSP !

Before we get to the card, here is the flyer for the suite of products.

And here is the card I have made.

Stampin' Up!, Ornate Garden, Ornate Frames, Perfectly Framed, Daisy Lane, Jackie Beers

There are gorgeous and very detailed dies as part of the Ornate Garden Suite of products.  However, I had it in my mind to use the Perfectly Framed sentiment.  And since that stamp set pairs with the Ornate Frames Dies that carried over from the Holiday Catalog, I decided to go with my original plan.

When I first saw this Designer Series paper, I thought of the two daisy stamp sets that are in the Annual Catalog.  I looked at both and thought the Daisy Lane stamp set was a perfect match.  The angled daisy matches the daisy in the DSP.

I layered my card with colors from the DSP.  I know that is a big shock to you!!  I always do that.  I chose the Old Olive as the card base and then went with Rococo Rose for the coordinating color.  The DSP says it is Terracotta Tile, but I found that the Rococo Rose was a perfect match as well.  I used the Rococo Rose stampin’ Blends to color the daisy on the sentiment band.

Thank you for stopping in today.  Let’s all pray that this virus is over quicker than expected and we can all take back our lives.  I love staying inside and crafting, but I know there are many people feeling huge hardships from this.

Hello Sunshine

My card for today is in appreciation for us getting sunshine for the next several days!  I had a few cards made since I’ve been isolating myself.  But with the gorgeous weather, it inspired me to make one to celebrate the clear sky.

Before I get to today’s project, I want to make sure you have seen the Third, and final, release for Sale-A-Bration.  We only have a few days left and this is the extra ones through the end.  You must use the numbers assigned to this Final Release and not the numbers for these items that are in the catalogs.

All are Level 1 ($50.00) except the Butterly Punch and the Wild Rose Dies .  They are Level 2 (100.00)

The Numbers are:

  • Dinoroar DSP:155882
  • Follow Your Art DSP: 155880
  • Mini Shipping Boxes (X2): 155879
  • Red Rhinestones (X2): 155878
  • Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Combo Pack: 155885
  • Shimmer Details Laser Cut Specialty DSP: 155884
  • Woven Threads DSP:  155883
  • Butterfly Duet Punch: 155877
  • Wild Rose Dies: 155886

Ok…  Now on to today’s card.  Are you thinking Bright

Sunshine?

You got the Bright part correct. I love bright colors and the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper fits the bill perfectly.  I have had this “frame” from that striped piece in my brain for a while.  I just could not get it to work out on paper.  It still isn’t what I envisioned, but this is what I ended up with.  After I had everything together, it hit me to miter the corners of my striped frame.  Just a tad too late for that on this one.

The idea for the card was HOPEFULLY saying farewell to the umbrellas and rain boots for a while!!

I have used three different pieces of the Pleased As Punch DSP.  The umbrella is punched from the umbrella piece using the Umbrella Builder Punch that is part of the Under My Umbrella Bundle.  The Boots are stamped onto the flower piece that pairs with the Small Flower Punch in SAB and is going to carry over to the next catalog.  And of course the border which is the multi stripe piece.

The umbrella punched out but the boots were stamped in Gray Granite on the DSP and then fussy cut using my Paper Snips.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Under My Umbrella.  It is stamped in Balmy Blue (just like the beautiful clear sky!).  Those layers are the  1 3/8 scalloped circle punch and the  1 1/4 circle punch.

I almost went with the Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon, but decided the Gray Granite version played off of the gray outline of the rain boots.  I tied a double bow using the 1/8″ Whisper White Sheer Ribbon.

Thank you for visiting today.  Please come back tomorrow for another new project.

Amazing Day for FMS427

I am late to the challenge for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge of this past week.  But when I saw the sketch, I knew I wanted to play along.  I love using sketches as ideas.

Stampin' Up!, Rise and Shine, Cup of Cheer, Scripty, Label Me Fancy, Jackie Beers

Here is the sketch I used for this card.  I turned it to a landscape version.

From my usual cards, this is a very soft and less ornate type card.  But I love it.  The cup is from the Sale-A-Bration late release named Rise & Shine.  It pairs with the Cup of Cheer Dies that carried over from the Holiday Catalog.   The cup and tag are from the stamp set and dies.

The sentiment is from the stamp set as well.  I paired it with the Label Me Fancy Punch.  This is quickly becoming a favorite punch for me.  The background I used is the beautiful Scripty 3D Embossing Folder.  It is really pretty nicely embossed hand writing and adds a subtle background with a bit of texture.

Thank you for stopping in today!  Remember that we are nearing the end of Sale-A-Bration.  A few items have already sold out.  I would love to assist you with placing an order or in joining my team and getting all of the great benefits of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator.  I have listed several of the current promotions for joining below.

Friendship

I am sharing another project with the Tropical Oasis suite of products!  I do love this suite and haven’t shared it until yesterday’s card.  So here is another one.

I used most of the suite products on this card.  The gorgeous Coastal Weave Embossing Folder sort of fights with the beautiful Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper!  Actually they are wonderful together but it is hard to say who is the prettiest.

The Braided Burlap Trim is another great part of this suite.  It really grounds the sentiment and flowers.  I stamped some of the leaves and flowers onto the Whisper White layer.  But I also stamped some on scrap paper to die cut.  I added the two flowers I layered together to overhang the top layer.  And finished them with the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you will come back on Monday for another new project.  I hope you can stay safe and enjoy crafting during these difficult days.

Just A Note

I have a quick “note” card for you today.  I adore the Music From The Heart stamp set and this is one of the reasons why.  You can make really cute quick cards.

I do not have any musical ability, but I love music and those who can make music.  This is the only kind of music that I can play with.  I am thrilled with the quick and easy cards this stamp set helps me to create.  For this card I added the Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper.  It is absolutely gorgeous!  And the fact that you can color it is just an added bonus!

I colored the flowers in the DSP with the Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends.  I colored the heart on the inside curl of the note as well.  To keep the card simple, I stamped in Smoky Slate Ink and used Smoky Slate as the backing for the two layers.  I think Smoky Slate is a great partner to most colors.  It works absolutely perfect with the Rococo Rose for this card.

I kept it simple with just the two colors and the gorgeous Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper.  I hope you will give this stamp set and this gorgeous paper another look.  Since the Flowering Foils DSP is a Sale-A-Bration item; if you order the stamp set, Rococo Rose and Smoky Slate card stock, Smoky Slate Ink, and Rococo Rose Blends Combo pack you have 52.00 and that is 2.00 over what you need to get the DSP FREE!  Great Deal!  And the ability to make a lot of beautiful cards.

Measurements:

  • Card base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2
  • DSP Base of Smoky Slate is 3 1/4 X 4 1/4
  • DSP is 3 X 4
  • Note Base of Smoky Slate is 2 1/2 X 3 1/4
  • Whisper White is 2 1/4 X 3

Thank you for looking in today.  Please come back tomorrow as we are doing the monthly InKing Royalty Blog Hop with the theme of Easter.
