Friend

Good Friday Morning to everyone.  I am so loving playing with my new products!  I have a card to share with you that is almost all new items.  And I am in love once again!

Can you see the details in the stamped leaves?  That is not a trick, or great photography.  That is the awesome detail in the stamps.  This was one of the stamp sets I was going to pass on.  And then I saw it demonstrated at one of our On Line Events with Stampin’ Up! .  The details was so intense that I knew I had to have it.   When I stamped this center leaf in Pretty Peacock I was amazed.  Pictures do not do it justice. It is the Forever Fern stamp set.  Of course I had to get the Bundle, but did not use the Dies today.

Okay, besides me being in love with the details of the stamps, here are the rest of the products I used.  I stamped the various leaves in Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaroon, and Shaded Spruce Inks.  The sentiment is also from the Forever Fern set and is also stamped in Pretty Peacock.

Both stamped images are die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I used the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper as the background.  And yes, I did use the “other” side, as usual.  The ribbon grounding the stamped images is the Just Jade woven ribbon.  I added a few of the Holiday Rhinestones for added texture and bling.  I am thrilled with all of the “bling” that carried over into this catalog.  Almost every color has a matching bling now!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Please come back on Monday to see what new products I have to share.  Also, next Wednesday is the monthly Pals Blog Hop.  That is always a great way to see quite a few awesome projects.

Just Because

When I mentioned yesterday that I would be up early to make my new catalog order, I  obviously did not read the “Go Live” time.  🙁  It is not until 12PM Mountain Time.  So for those near me in the Eastern Time Zone, we do not go live until 2PM.  That is so sad.  I was all excited to get up early and get my order in.  It just means longer anticipation.

For today’s card, I am doing a little bit of #simplestamping.  The card I made could not get any simpler.  That does not mean it is not a cute card.  I personally love it.

Stampin' Up!, Lovely You, Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack, Just Jade, Jackie Beers

I have showcased two New items.  The main sentiment layer is one of the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack pieces.  That is a mouth full!!  But these cards are so pretty.  If you are not familiar with the Memories & More line of products,   They are on pages 154-155 in the New Annual Catalog.  They can be used for journaling, photo backgrounds, and cards, as well as scrapbooking.  The sentiment is from the Lovely You stamp set and is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

The base of the card is one of the Whisper White Note cards and Envelopes.  I cut a piece of the new Just Jade card stock to fit the dimensions of the card.  But that left extra space on each side of the M&M card.  So I placed it over to the left, with equal edging.  I then added a piece of the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon on the extra space on the right hand side.  Easy Peasy!!

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you have your wish list ready to go.  If you do not currently have a demonstrator, I would love to take care of your crafting needs.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.  I have a host code listed on the right hand column, if you are on a computer, or below if on phone or tablet.

Be Happy

I am playing along with a sketch challenge today.  In looking through my stamp sets for the one to use, I ran across one that I have not used in quite a while.  It is carrying over to the new catalog so I did not feel too bad for having snubbed it lately.

Yes the stamp set is Rooted In Nature, and it has the matching dies of Nature’s Roots.  This is for the Case This Sketch challenge #374.  It is a Retro Challenge, so the sketch has a different number on it. And here is the sketch.

I really think this is a great sketch.  It leaves a lot to the imagination.  The background could be very busy or very clean.  I went with the clean look.  And that is very different for me!

I used two of the new 2020-2022 In Colors, Cinnamon Cider is the card base, and Bumble Bee is the background layer.  I embossed the background using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I love the little bit of definition that folder gives.

The tree is from the stamp set.  I colored it using my Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers.  Markers are the must have for coloring directly onto the rubber.  The tree is cut out using the matching die.

The sentiment is one solid sentiment from the stamp set as well.  It is stacked on top of each other and I wanted to spread them out to give more focus on the sentiment.  So I used my sharp Paper Snips and cut each word out and then glued them down.

The embellishments are from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots.  You know how much I LOVE and use little embellishments like this!  I chose to go with the Cinnamon Cider ones here.

I hope you will give this sketch a try as well.  I could do another one that would totally different.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have a good Monday!

Jar of Flowers

Today I have a card giving you a sneak peek of the new Jar of Flowers stamp set.  It is so pretty.  I grew up around the Ball Jars used for canning.  My favorites were the older blue ones.  My Mom used them as flower vases, so anytime I see flowers in a jar I am reminded of those.

I picked a variety of colors for my flowers.  I love mixed bouquets rather than just one color.  I believe this set, and the different flower bundles you can create, will be perfect for mixed or single color arrangements.  All of the flowers are colored using the Stampin’ Blends.  I stamped the floral part with Gray Granite Ink.  I think of it as a neutral that just highlights the outline.  Smoky Slate Ink works in the same manner.

The jar is stamped using Bermuda Bay , with the water line in Coastal Cabana.  I filled in the water area with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  To highlight the jar color, I chose the Bermuda Bay card stock embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder as the layer.  The Tin Tile seems to go well with the jar.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have an awesome weekend and will return on Monday.  It is hard to believe that it will be June 1st.  Wow!!  Time has been flying by.  The new catalog will be LIVE next Wednesday!!!  Do you have your wish list ready?

My Friend

I love making quick and easy cards.  Today I have a really good one and it begins with a new set of Cards and Envelopes debuting in the new Annual Catalog.

The catalogs have been arriving in mailboxes this week.  If you are a past customer of mine, you should be getting one from me.  If you do not currently have a demonstrator, let me know and I will be happy to send you one.  Remember, they do not go Live until June 3rd.

Isn’t this bright card base beautiful?  It is the new Flowers For Every Season Memories and More Cards and Envelopes.  The white dotted area is on the card itself.  I just added the stamped layers.  The pack contains cards in the new 2020-2022 In Colors.

The stamp set I used is the Field of Flowers set.  All of the images on the card are from that one set.  Having images and sentiments in one set is a favorite of mine!  I stamped the bottom section of grass and the flower stem in Shaded Spruce Ink.  The flowers are stamped in Melon Mambo.  The Ink pads of the new In Colors were not available on our preorder.  The Melon Mambo is just a shade darker than Magenta Madness.

The little dragonfly is stamped in Bermuda Bay to match the background layer.  I added some of the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots for dimension.  I also added ribbon in the Magenta Madness.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will look at these products when you get your new catalog.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

There is still time to purchase the digital stamp set below.  All proceeds go to the charities.

Hello Sunshine

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Sunshine, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with sunny images of joy in the great outdoors. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I took the Sunshine theme literally with my project for today.  It is a pretty simple card that I hope brings a “Sunny” smile to you.

For me Dandelions are a definite summer and sunshine memory.  And I truly adore this Dandelion Wishes stamp.  I stamped it in Smoky Slate ink and layered it onto a Smoky Slate layer.  To add to my Sunny background I chose a piece of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper.  Of course, this is one of the “other side” of the sheets of paper.  But I thought it fit perfectly for my theme.

My “Sun” is a piece of Daffodil Delight cut using the Painted Labels Dies.  The Hello Sunshine is from the Under My Umbrella stamp set.   I layered two of the Layering Circles Dies on the Sun layer to keep my Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate colors going.

For the finishing touches I added the the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon with just a simple knot.  For some Bling I added a couple of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots in different sizes.

I hope you will leave comments on today’s projects as you hop along.  Also, I have the measurements, as well as the products I used today, listed at the bottom of the post.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lynn Kolcun at Avery’s Owlery. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
