Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Sunshine, so prepare yourself for projects that are filled with sunny images of joy in the great outdoors. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I took the Sunshine theme literally with my project for today. It is a pretty simple card that I hope brings a “Sunny” smile to you.
For me Dandelions are a definite summer and sunshine memory. And I truly adore this Dandelion Wishes stamp. I stamped it in Smoky Slate ink and layered it onto a Smoky Slate layer. To add to my Sunny background I chose a piece of the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. Of course, this is one of the “other side” of the sheets of paper. But I thought it fit perfectly for my theme.
My “Sun” is a piece of Daffodil Delight cut using the Painted Labels Dies. The Hello Sunshine is from the Under My Umbrella stamp set. I layered two of the Layering Circles Dies on the Sun layer to keep my Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate colors going.
For the finishing touches I added the the Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon with just a simple knot. For some Bling I added a couple of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots in different sizes.
I hope you will leave comments on today’s projects as you hop along. Also, I have the measurements, as well as the products I used today, listed at the bottom of the post.

The New Paper Trimmer:
SUPPLIES:
You are so right about the dandelion and summer sunshine. It’s a carefree world when you can blow on the dandelion pappus and watch the seeds spread with abandon. LOVE your happy card.
What a great way to
Make the sun using the painted labels die. It’s perfect and so
Is your card.
Well hello there Sunshine. The yellow and green makes my heart go pitter patter!!! Seriously one of my all-time favorite color combinations. The dandelion stamp is absolutely perfect!!!
A lovely card that spreads sunshine. I like the combination of the yellow and the gray, and the gem for the center of your dandelion is perfect. The stripes of the paper leave the impression are a perfect backdrop for your dandelions. Sweet!
Love your bright and sunny card! That die from Painted Labels is adorable. I just got home to several SU shipments my neighbor was holding for me, and the Painted Labels dies are in one of the boxes. I can’t wait to play with them!
This is just lovely, Jackie. I love how the dandelion bits are blowing up in to the sun. And the die cut really makes the sun come alive.
Your card is perfect in every way. Love the use of yellows with your dandilion. Just beautiful! Xo
A dandelion is such a perfect summer item. It brings back many happy memories. These two colors are so perfect together. Love your card!
Jackie, I spent many an afternoon while growing up making wishes on dandelions. Those dandelions are perfect for our theme. I really liked the way you used the gray to had some cool tones to your brilliant card.
A sunny smile, indeed! I love all the yellow on this card – so happy. Thank you so much for this project and for participating in this month’s hop! ♥
The yellow, the dandelion, and the way the dandelion seeds direct you to the adorably framed sentiment – love it!
I don’t see the measurements?
They are back now. I had deleted them in doing the link updates and forgot to reenter. Sorry!
