Love Cats

Cats can be the sweet, playful, and so funny, which is why I love them.  Not to say they cannot be a pain sometimes!  But if there is a cat stamp I must have it.  Today’s card is using the Love Cats stamp set.  And I do love these guys.

Stampin' Up!, Love Cats, Flowers & More, Layering Circles, Decorative Circles, Jackie Beers

Stamps

This cat is definitely in the Love category.  I have two sisters who both love to roll in the floor and play.  This image fits them perfectly.  The Love Cats set has three cat images and fun saying to go with each one.  I have used the hanging out cat previously.  You can see it HERE.   Both the cat and the sentiment are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.

Papers

To continue the Fun theme, I went with a bright and happy piece of DSP.  This sheet is from the Flowers & More Designer Series Paper.  It is another of the multi-packs of paper that is a Host item in the Mini Catalog.  I love the multi-packs for making multiples of one card or 3D projects.  Sometimes you need more than two sheets of one pattern.

As usual I picked the DSP first.  Then I found colors in the paper that I thought would go with my image.  The card base and cat layer are Balmy Blue with the heart and layer in Polished Pink.  I covered the bases for a sweetheart card for guys or gals.

Extras

To give some added dimension I used the Decorative Label Punch as the background for the kitty.  Just having a different shape behind the circle really pops.  The circle is cut using the Layering Circles Dies.  If you still have circle punches,  this is about 2″.

And for the finishing touch I used the new Pastel Sequins.  To not play favorites, I used both pink and blue there also.  These sequins are really nice and come in two different sizes.  I love that.

Love You!

Today’s card is a sweet Love You! card for anyone.  It is pairing old and new products for the Make My Monday Challenge.

Stampin' Up!, Count On Me, Country Bouquet, Dainty Flowers, Heart Punch Pack, Three Twine Combo, Jackie Beers

As I mentioned at the top of the page, this is my card as a designer on the Make My Monday Blog Challenge with the theme of Love Is In The Air.   Please click on the image below to be taken to the blog.  You will see the other designers’ cards and can upload your own version of the theme.

New Products

I said this card is a combination of old and new products.  I am going to begin with the New ones.  The DSP is from the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper , which is a Sale-A-Bration item.  That means it is FREE with a qualifying order of $50.00.

The second new is the I Love You stamp.  This special little stamp is part of the Country Bouquet stamp set.  It is a Valentine and Love type set with a country theme.  And I do Love it!

The third and final New item is the Thread.  To add some extra detail at the top of the card, I went with the Garden Green Bakers Twine from the Three Twine Combo Pack.  Even though my card stock is not Garden Green, the shading works perfectly.

Loved Products

I don’t want to be rude and call this group of products OLD, so I am using the well loved description!  The Koala Bears are from the Count On Me stamp set in the Annual Catalog.  It is a variety of animals with lovely expressions and signs of affection.  These two hugging seemed perfect for the Love theme.

The next two items are the heart layers for the Koala Bears.  They are the Heart Punch Pack duo.  These are such a perfect size for so many images in the catalogs.  I used Mossy Meadow for the large scalloped heart so it would contrast more against the DSP.

And the final of the Loved products is the little bit of bling.  This is one of the 2021-2023 Opal Dots.  It shows a bit darker in person.  I wanted a little something to pair with the yellow flowers of the paper.  Everything else is on the deeper tones of color.

Thank you for stopping in today!

Oh Happy Day

The project I have to share with you today is the tag I made to accompany my Paper Shares.  I also used the tag to make a card since they were so darn cute!

Stampin' Up!, Playing In The Rain, Fabulous Frames, Stylish Shapes, Rain or Shine, Glossy Dots, Jackie Beers

Papers

This card, and the tags, are all about the paper.  The center of the card is the actual tag.  I fussy cut the images from the piece of Rain Or Shine Designer Series Paper containing these characters.  There are turtles, dogs, and the pig holding umbrellas.  For the background I used a second piece from the paper pack with the rain drops. Then when I decided to make a card from an extra tag, I added a third piece of the DSP.  I felt the umbrellas and rain sheet was the perfect finishing layer.  And that doesn’t mention all of the beautiful color to choose from in these papers.

Stamps

The stamp set used is the Playing In The Rain and it is a Bundle.  It was a favorite as soon as I saw it.  I love any of the animal sets Stampin’ Up! creates because the artists give the animals such character!  The Dies from the bundle were not used as they do not include these guys with the umbrellas.  So all I used was the sentiment stamp.  How appropriate though that Oh Happy Day is what you see when your Paper Shares arrive!  Or this card even.  Although I am really over all the rain we have had this winter.

Dies and Finishes

Even though I did not use the Playing In The Rain Dies, I did use two other Die sets.  The sentiment is using the Stylish Shapes Dies and the largest of the banners.  I needed the largest for the height, but did not need very much width.  All that took was my Paper Trimmer to cut off where I needed and it becomes a little flag.

The second Die set is the Fabulous Frames Dies.  To get the awesome frame around the rain scene, I used the largest of those frames in Mango Melody.  The details are wonderful on this one.  After everything was placed, I added a layer of Balmy Blue and rounded the corners.  Any corner rounder that you have will work.  There is not one from SU that is current.  But I felt the corners needed rounding!  And the final touch is the single Glossy Dots on the sentiment.

Thank you for visiting today!!

Easter Treats

I am hopping a holiday ahead with today’s card.  Instead of Valentine, I have an Easter card to share.  This one is a cute little bunny with a treat for you.

Stampin' Up!, Easter Bunny, Something Fancy Dies, Pale Papaya Faux Velvet Trim, Jackie Beers

Stamps

The adorable little bunny with his carrot treat is from the Easter Bunny Bundle.  This bundle is a punch bundle.  However, I have used one of the bunnies that does not fit the punch.  The carrot was the layout idea.  I wanted him to hold a carrot and the punch bunny is a side view.  All of the stamps used are from the stamp set.

The bunny is stamped with Crumb Cake Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.  For the carrot I still stamped with Crumb Cake, colored with Stampin’ Blends, and then fussy cut it.  The adorable sentiment is from the stamp set as well.

Dies

Since I did not utilize the Bunny Punch, I searched through my Die sets for one that would work with the little scene I created.  This Die set is amazing and I see a lot of uses in my future cards.  The tag die used for the bunny scene is from the Something Fancy Die set.  This is also a bundle with the Something Fancy stamp set.  The stamp set is an awesome sentiment set.  And one I will fully use I am sure, but not today!

For the sentiment used here I wanted a shape that was a bit different from the usual.  Once again I found it in the Something Fancy Die set.  This little hexagon shaped die fit the sentiment perfectly.  And I really love that it is a different shape!

Paper and Embellishments

Today’s paper is a bright and cheery one that fits in with my bunny perfectly.  It is from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. This is one of the Sale-A-Bration paper packs.  I love the brightness and the little designs of green and white.

To play off of the carrot I wanted some additional orange.  The Pale Papaya Faux Velvet Trim is gorgeous and really soft.  But when placed on this bright paper I felt like you could see the design through the velvet.  With a quick look at the SU colors, I decided Pumpkin Pie was a perfect background.  It is a little deeper orange than the Pale Papaya but they really compliment each other.  Adding that strip of card stock really made the orange work.  And to finish off with some bling, I added a few of the Champagne Rhinestones to the sentiment layer and top of the tag.

Thank you for stopping by today!!!

InKing Royalty December Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s December Blog Hop! We have created wintry projects to share with you today – snow, sleds and mittens are sure to be found in our lineup. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

My Winter card is a young deer enjoying the snow and trees.  It is the Best Time of Year!  I went back to the Annual Catalog for this project.

Stampin' Up!, Peaceful Deer, Painted Christmas, Essentials Twine, Festive Pearls, Jackie Beers

Stamps

Today’s card is another one stamp set card.  All of the stamped images are from the Peaceful Deer stamp set.  And since it is in the Annual Catalog, it is not going away until at least May!  I do love this set.  There are so many ways to use these trees and different deer.  I focused on the special deer with the sweet saying.  And the sentiment layer goes along with that one.

The colors used are Soft Suede for the deer.  Evening Evergreen was used on the all of the trees.  And Pool Party for the snow flakes and at the deer’s feet.  The sentiment is stamped also in Evening Evergreen.

Papers

I was searching for a complimentary paper to the scene I was creating when I found not one but two pieces.  Actually they are the front and back of the same piece.  That is a winner / winner!!  Of course the papers had the Soft Suede of the deer, but they also directed me to the Evening Evergreen for the trees.  Soft Suede is not one I use very often.  However I am really loving how it brings out the pine cones.

Finishes

Between all of the trees and the busy papers the card has a lot going on.  I still needed some bling and to settle the scene.  So out came the Festive Pearls in the soft green.  It seems similar to the light in the pine cone paper as well as matching the Pool Party snow.  Those are scattered around the scene.  But I also added a darker twine from the Essentials Bakers Twine Combo Pack.  Twine works wonderfully with more rustic colors.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Jan Dufour at Stamp Me Silly.

Furry and Bright

The title of this post is probably a give away of the stamp set I am using today.  The Christmas Scottie is such a fun bundle, set, and punch.  And are not necessarily only for Christmas.  I love when that is the case.  It gives more bang for your buck!

Stampin' Up!, Christmas Scottie, Scottie Dog Punch, Layering circles, Lights Aglow, Festive Pearls, Jackie Beers

Stamps

This fun stamp set is the Christmas Scottie set.  I stamped the cute little Scottie with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then fussy cut around him.  (The Scottie Dog Punch does not include this position of the dog.)  And the adorable sentiment is from the set as well.  It is cut using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch.

Background

The background for the Dog is from the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper.  There are a couple of sheets that have circle and squares with the gold swirls and stars.  I think this is so pretty and wanted to use it.  By looking through my dies, I decided on the Layering Circles Dies.  I chose the second largest of the Scalloped Circles.  Those scallops seem to add just a bit extra to that layer.

Papers

As is mentioned above, the circle layer is from the Lights Aglow DSP.  After deciding on that piece, I found these other two pieces that were leftovers from other projects.  They are from that pack of DSP as well.  So I cut them to fit on the Basic White layer and then chose Soft Succulent for the card base.  And did you notice the Dog’s bow?  I used a scrap of the red DSP to punch his bow.  The bow and standing view of the dog are both on the punch.

Embellishments

To finish this card, I went with two different ribbons to help ground the sentiment.  I chose the Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and the Gold Shimmer Ribbon.  And to pull a bit more of the gold from the DSP, I added a few of the Gold Pearls from the Festive Pearls embellishments.  There is one on the Dog’s bow and two on the sentiment.

Apologies!!!

Due to the awesome Last Chance Sale, most of this card’s products are sold out.  I am really sorry.  When I made it a few days ago most were available.  The Scottie Dog Punch is still available.   And there are other beautiful DSP that would work beautifully.
