Today is the last day of the Retiring Mini Catalog, current Annual Catalog and the Retiring List. Tomorrow is an exciting day because we can all finally order from the New Annual Catalog! Woohoo!!!
My card today is a fun carrying over stamp set. It has been one of my favorites from the Retiring Mini Catalog. It is Playing In The Rain along with the, sadly retiring, Rain Or Shine DSP.
Stamp set and matching DSP
To be honest, the only stamping on this card is the Oh Happy Day and the inside. But I do love the size and boldness of this happy sentiment. It says I am excited about this day. And since this card is a birthday card for a friend, I am happy. Our friend takes his dogs to the Bark Park every day wether Rain or Shine. So looking at this paper and the umbrella gave me the idea.
And yes, I think this is a fox, but it works anyway! This Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper is so fun for any age. Especially the various images. I die cut the fox from the paper using the Stylish Shapes Dies. It was close to the edge, so I used that to maximize paper. And I like the unexpected of the image being on the edge. The sentiment was cut using the same Dies, just a smaller size. LOL!
Colors
The colors for the layers and card base were pulled from the fox. I wanted to try some of the upcoming new In Colors. This one uses Copper Clay. It is a reddish brown, just like our Georgia Clay. (And just so you know…..that stuff is almost impossible to get out of clothing!) That said, it pairs perfectly with the fox and the darker colors in the rain paper.
Finish
To add bling is generally my last touch. This time it is really not blingy. I added one of the 2022-2024 Matte Dots. This one is supposed to be the Sweet Sorbet I believe. But this softer shade matches the Calypso Coral of the umbrella. I wanted just a bit of a highlight and this worked perfectly.
Thank you for stopping by today!

My love of cats is well known. And I purchase every cat set that Stampin’ Up! makes. However, this Love Cats is probably my favorite one yet. I know I have used it a few times, but here is one more!
Stamps
This silly cat may be my favorite from the Love Cats stamp set. He or she is so happy looking while flipped over. I have a 14 year old female cat that every afternoon, while telling us it is dinner time, chases her tail!
One of the things I love about these cats are that they are solid. So one ink and you have a great image. For this one I simply filled in the heart using Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends. And that was all it took for the focal image.
Papers
To pair with the silly cat, I wanted a fun paper. All it took was pulling out the pack of Flowers & More Designer Series Paper. This is a Host reward paper in the Mini Catalog. The colors are all fun and bright which is my favorite generally. To pair with the bright, I pulled the brightest of the colors from the paper and went with Parakeet Party for the card base. And then another fun piece of the DSP for the cat layer that would coordinate with the first. These papers make it so easy.
Fold
This is a simple, but Fun Fold. Here is a photo of the open card.
Instead of the fold being at the top as is usual, I flipped the card and have the opening at the bottom. I have done some gift card holders with this orientation. But this card is just a card only.
By clicking on the photo you will be taken to the Online Exclusives in my online store. Please use my Host code if you make a purchase. I would really appreciate it!

This month, our blog hop theme is Party Time! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My card is definitely in the Party mode. I have paired some bright and fun papers with a perfect Cat-Cake. A cupcake with a cat !
Stamps
My Fat Cat cupcake is the best Party theme I can think of. And he looks very happy and proud of himself. You know how much I love to color. So the Best Day stamp set is my idea of a good time. This image is my favorite and I knew I had to have it the first time I saw it in the Mini Catalog. I do not currently have a gray cat in my hoard right now, but gray fit the bill the best. The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with the same colors as are in the papers. All of the Stampin’ Blends used are in the Supply List as the bottom of the post.
Papers
The papers used here are what determined the accessory colors for the Cat Cake. These are both from the Flowers & More Designer Series Paper. This is a Host Reward option in the Mini Catalog. I love bright and this fits that bill perfectly. For the card base I chose the brightest of all of the colors. The Parakeet Party is a bright and happy color for sure.
To match all of the brightness, I had to give my kitty cake some bling. With all of the colors I used, I found the purrrfect solution with the 2022-2024 Matte Dots. They are in the same bright colors. So instead of choosing, I just went wild and used a variety of color there as well.
Fun Fold
The reason for my finger in the first photo is that this is a Fun Fold also. I had to hold it flat to photograph better. Here is the open view. You can see that I used the stripes on all of the folds, with the bright mixed background as the inside back layer.
What you cannot see are two more striped pieces as well as the opposite of the cat layer. I have seen a variety of this fold and no one ever adds another writing spot. So I placed a blank white on the back of cat fold for writing. That way it is not exposed if someone wants to display your artwork.
Measurements
This card takes almost a full sheet of card stock. But it is well worth the sheet! The card base is 5 1/2 X 11. This leaves you with a strip that is 3 X 11. Cut that down to 3 X 6. Score that piece at 3 and fold in half. That is the cat layer. The card base is scored at 4, 5 3/4, 7 1/2, and 9 1/4. For me it is easier to make the many scores out to the right than up against the Simply Scored edge. Simply turn the card around and fold and burnish. You can refer to the photo to see how it folds.
The strips are four that are each cut to 1 1/2 X 5 1/4, and the inside back DSP is 3 3/4 X 5 1/4. You need three White layers if you add the extra as I did. They are all 2 3/4 X 2 3/4.
Thank you for visiting today!
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 12th, when our theme will be Flowers in the Garden, showcasing cards/projects with flowers.

The Playing In The Rain stamp set is such a fun set that I cannot stop using it. Today I have the adorable happy bunny to make your day.
Stamps
The animals in the Playing In The Rain Bundle, stamp set and dies, are just as amazing as others from Stampin’ Up!. This little guy looks so thrilled to be playing in the puddle. Or it could be that it has finally stopped raining! I know that feeling. 🙂 The bunny and the clouds are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. All of the colors are listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the page. One thing about this image that I love is that I remembered it is ok to stamp off the page. The clouds did not all fit and that is fine!
The only die used was for the umbrella. There are a lot of dies in this bundle, but I only needed the one here. Placing the umbrella over the edge of the focal layer makes it stand out a bit more. Especially since it is colored similar to the rain jacket. Plus it gives a little more texture to the card.
The sentiment is from the Happy Labels Bundle. For the rainy scene, the YAY! expresses the bunny’s happiness perfectly. I also used the Happy Labels Punch to give the ends of the sentiment a little fun. Remember that this is one of the stamp sets that can be purchased in Photopolymer or Cling (red rubber) so pay attention when placing your order for the one you want.
Papers
This fun DSP is once again from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. It is one of the $100.00 options from Sale-A-Bration. And it is definitely a great option with the number of sheets of DSP you receive in this pack. Plus the colors and patterns are bright and perfect for Spring and Summer.
For a change the DSP did not come first in making this card. I knew there would be a Balmy Blue piece in some of the DSP I have. So I did not even look until afterwards. The main choice was the raincoat colors, which determined the card base and layers. Surprisingly the Calypso Coral and Balmy Blue work beautifully together.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you have a Sun Shiny Day!!

Today’s card is for the Make My Monday Challenge. This theme is All Creatures Great and Small. I have two adorable little creatures in my card from the Silly Goose stamp set.
The MMM Design Team have all made adorable animal cards. I hope you will hop over to see them and be inspired by our ideas to make your own version. Click on the image below to be taken to the Challenge page.
Stamps
This fun stamp is from the Silly Goose stamp set. You know how I love the animal stamps and this is no exception. As a bonus, this is one of the 5 or 6 sets that can be purchased in either Photopolymer or Cling (red rubber)! The little frog is the icing on the cake for this image I think. He is just catching a free ride. I wanted this to be a bright and happy card so went with bright colors. The image is stamped using Basic Gray Ink and then colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. They are all listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post.
The sentiment is also included in the stamp set. As is a few other Goose stamps that are equally as fun! To keep with the bright colors, I used Gorgeous Grape Ink to stamp the sentiment. Since I seem to always be a day late anymore on sending out cards, I may be using this stamp quite often! Grounding the sentiment is a double flower from the Petal Park Punch in Melon Mambo. And the center is a Gorgeous Grape dot from Opaque Gems. The sentiment is flagged using the Pick A Punch Banner.
Dies
Did you notice the fun shapes I used on the layers? These are from the Layering Diorama Dies. I have used them a couple of times but tend to forget about the fun and different shapes they have. Since I was simulating water they seemed to be the perfect choice here. There are a few sizes in between the two I used. I wanted more of the Balmy Blue to show, but still leave the pretty DSP as well.
Papers
There are a variety of different textures and colors on this card. I wanted bright, so began with the Melon Mambo card base. That color is carried through with the flower holding the sentiment as well as the inner tube. The layer is from the By The Bay Designer Series Paper. The mix of Balmy Blue and Pool Party perfectly matched the colors I had used to simulate the water. Plus it is a gorgeous print!
The die cut layers are what catches my eye the most. Obviously the focal layer is meant to, but the Balmy Blue layer is amazing! It is from the Textured Shimmer Designer Series paper. The lines are fairly deep and offer a lot of textured depth to the card.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will come back tomorrow. And don’t forget about Sale-A-Bration.

The Easter Bunny is coming on today’s card. Who doesn’t love a quick and easy card that is most definitely Spring inspired.
Stamps
The stamping on this card could not be easier! And the focal Bunny stamp is stamped on some fun mosaic paper using Basic Gray Ink. I love when I remember that it is perfectly fine to stamp on DSP. When you do that, there is no need to color the image as the paper gives it the color and design.
The grass stamp is a small one. But being Photopolymer, it is very easy to line it up going across the page.I stamped with Granny Apple Green and then colored with Light Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend. And the Happy Ester was a quick stamp using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.
Punch
Sadly the Easter Bunny Punch is out of stock right now. The Chinese New Year does cause issues with our stock. But it will be back before the catalog ends. Luckily the bunny images are all easy to cut out and the punch only fits this one I used. Personally I believe this card would be an adorable Welcome Baby or Baby Shower card simply by changing the sentiment.
Paper
I have to say that this fun polka dot paper makes me think of colored Easter Eggs. That makes it perfect for this card. And easy to pull a variety of colors from it for the other pieces. Both the layer and Bunny DSP pieces are from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. It is the Free with a $100.00 qualifying order with Sale-A-Bration. Using the polka dot piece, I pulled the Bunny sheet and then matched them to Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana, and Fresh Freesia.
Embellishments
To complete this card I needed just a bit of bling. I found that with the Glossy Dots on page 143 of the Annual Catalog. Placing the dot on the grass makes it seem like an egg waiting to be found. (At least my imagination says that!) And to give the Bunny his bow, I used the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blend to color the White Bakers Twine from the Bakers Twine Essentials Pack. Using the Silicone Mat, I layed the string out and held one end while drawing the Blend across it. This goes very quickly and dries almost immediately.
