The beautiful, and varied, Designer Series Papers from Stampin’ Up! are something they are known for. And they are one of my favorite things. Today I have a card made using scraps of DSP. I love to save and use my smaller pieces of leftover DSP. Maybe today’s card will give all of you an idea.
Papers
To continue my DSP love, I have used the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper for this card. These are leftover pieces from previous cards. The clouds and the check are both sides of the same paper piece. And I love the Night of Navy with the plane diagrams. It is from the sheet that has sections of different designs and a tag. Pulling from these three pieces, I paired them with Night of Navy for the card base, a layer of Basic White, and then each piece is layered on Smoky Slate. I have all of the measurements for you below. Plus….this paper is one of the DSPs included in the current Sale with 15% off!
Stamps and Dies
To complete the card I had to play along with the airplane theme. So I used the matching Adventurous Sky Bundle. There are three sizes of airplanes in this set along with clouds and fun sentiments. I used the middle size airplane. It is colored with Stampin’ Blends and then die cut using the matching set of Dies.
To create a fun way of placing the sentiment, I thought of the airplanes pulling banners at the beach. I love the sentiment and it is from the set as well. With the small size of the sentiment I looked for a small Die in my collection. I found this one in a new set. It is from the Greetings of the Season Dies that are an Online Exclusive. These match the stamp set that is all greetings. So there are quite a few fun shapes that can be used as tags also. The tag hole is hidden behind the airplane rear.
Finishes
There was not a lot of room or need for a lot of bling on this card. With all of the different layers I decided for very simple. My choice of bling is the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon Adhesive Gems. I used three of the Clear ones and spaced them in the squares of the plaid paper. There is one larger size and then two smaller.
Measurements
This layout is one that I have used previously and will use again. Obviously the sizes of the DSP can be adjusted to fit your leftover pieces. But here are my measurements.
Night of Navy card base is 4 1/4 X 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2
Layer of Basic White is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
Cloud DSP is 1 X 4 3/4 with a Smoky Slate layer of 1 1/8 X 4 7/8
Navy plane DSP is 2 1/2 X 4 with a Smoky Slate layer of 2 5/8 X 4 1/8
Plaid DSP is 3 X 1 with a Smoky Slate layer of 3 1/8 X 1 1/8

I love to make Fun cards. Today I have used the Charming Duck Pond Bundle to make a fun birthday card. The colors and the stamps make me smile.
Stamp Bundle
The adorable duck is the star of this card. So I will start with the stamps and dies. Saying that, there really are not a lot of anything used for this creation. It is pretty simple. I did stamp the duck on a scrap of Basic White card stock as well as the wild grass. They both are colored using Stampin’ Blends. The grass has openings in the blades so I filled in with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends to make the complete blades. The Crushed Curry cat tails are a single stamp that are easy to match up with the grass. And because it was going on the “water” I colored the white background with a Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend.
The duck is the main guy. I copied his coloring from one in the matching DSP. There are several Stampin’ Blends used and they are all listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post. Both the duck and grass were cut using matching Dies. And the simple birthday sentiment is from the stamp set as well.
Papers
The lily pads paper is from the matching Lily Pond Designer Series paper. I looked for a simple background for the duck and decided this was a good one. The card base is Pretty In Pink with Balmy Blue as the layer. Both of these were pulled directly from the DSP piece. That makes choosing colors so easy to do. The Lily Pond Lane is part of the DSP sale continuing thru the end of the month. A 15% discount is a good one!
Extras
To add more of the water to the card, I used the large Embossing Folder So Swirly. I really love these swirls. They are great for a lot of specifics like water and wind, even terrain. For a bit more texture the sentiment banner is punched using the Happy Labels punch. I chose the smaller of the two scallops. And to give it a bit more, I used the yellow Bakers Twine from the Bakers Twine Three Color Pack. I simply tied a bow around the end of the banner.
To complete the card there must be bling! This time I went above my normal three pieces of bling. There are five pieces floating around. I used the Pastel Sequins before realizing they are no longer available. You may have some in your stash, or any bling of your choice will work. I added four pink ones to several of the lily pads to match the pink flowers that some already have. And then I added a blue sequin to the opposite end of the sentiment from the bow.
Measurements
The measurements for this card are very simple. I love simple and it makes for easy duplication.
The Pretty In Pink card base is 4 1/4 X 11 scored and folded at 5 1/2
The Balmy Blue embossed layer is 4 X 5 1/4
The Pretty In Pink focal layer is 3 1/4 X 3 1/4
The DSP layer is 3 X 3
The sentiment strip is 3 1/4 X 1/2

There are some wonderfully whimsical stamp sets in the Annual Catalog. And today’s card is using one of those sets. I paired it with some fun and whimsical DSP as well.
Stamp and Die Bundle
This fun and whimsical, or even retro, stamp bundle is the Tune In Bundle. The television and sentiments are fun but the added details are what really makes it different. The Daffodil Delight stars are what actually makes this a fun card in my opinion. Although I did try to use all the colors and images to make a retro 60’s – 70’s scene.
The stamps used are all from the stamp set. And the dies are all from the matching Dies. I envision using the stars in other projects already. To give the illusion of a TV screen for the front sentiment I used the Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend and scribbled to cover the screen. I was very uneven because I did not want it to be totally solid. And I love that the tv screen is separate from the tv itself.
Papers and Colors
To continue with the whimsy and fun, I went with the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper. This paper is also included in the current Sale with 15% off thru the end of the month. Hint, Hint !! The TV is from one of the pieces from the pack that is a variegated pink. Also the two pieces of DSP in the background are both from the pack. They definitely bring in the fun patterns. To bring out more blue from the upper background paper, I stamped the background images with Azure Afternoon. That is not a color I use very often. The knobs and speaker on the tv are all Berry Burst to give some additional brightness.
To the inside of the card I added a fun statement to go along with the Happy Birthday. You’re A Classic goes right along with the look of the front of the card. And adding the old fashioned energy signal just is the topping on the cake. Hopefully some of you are old enough to remember those from the black and white movies.
Finishes
There is so much going on with this card that it really did not need much in the way of extras or bling. But the stars needed a touch of something. I chose some sequins to further go along with the 60-70s look. They are on one of the stars and then a couple more scattered around.
Thank you for stopping by today!! I hope you have a fun weekend.

Today’s card began in my mind as a clean and simple look. It does look that way but it ended with a bit longer than simple in the different techniques used. The Playing In The Rain is great for a simple card however.
Stamp set
The Playing In The Rain stamp set contains such fun images. All have happy expressions and are thrilled with the rain around them. I used the sweet turtle that is holding a flower for someone. At least that is my thought. I had to google turtles to get a close up view of a turtle for my coloring. The photos are mostly aquatic turtles and I wanted a more country turtles. But I made him my own with Stampin’ Blends.
Background
To create the background all it took was a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink. I added the Pool Party fairly lightly and then stamped the turtle using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. The blending brushes are a little of a learning process. I find I have better first touch if I ink the brush and then use a paper towel to do my first several strokes. This takes off the darkest part.
Colors and Bling
The clean and simple look goes along with the papers. There is no DSP and only Basic White and Pool Party card stock. The mix of colors on the turtle are Pebbled Path, Gray Granite, Wild Wheat and a trim of Granny Apple Green. And the flower is Petunia Pop with a center of Wild Wheat. All of these are Stampin’ Blends. To complete the card I added a trio of 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems and used one each of three colors to tie in with the turtle colors.

Today’s project is called it a Joy Fold Card. it is definitely a joy to make . The Wildly Flowering DSP is the star of the card of course.
Papers
This fun card is one I cased from a dear friend The Paper Pixie. You get to see both sides of the paper with this Joy Fold and I love that. This large main piece of paper is from the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper. The smaller focal layer piece is also from the same pack of papers. I paired these gorgeous papers with Crumb Cake card stock for the card base, with a layer of Basic White underneath each DSP layer. A white layer against the Crumb Cake has always been a favorite of mine and with the white in the main DSP pattern it really pops.
Here is an open view of the card.
With the card open you can really allow the DSP to shine. And this view shows the simplicity of the card as well.
Stamps and Ink
The focal layer stamped images are from two separate sets. The flower is from the Wildflower Designs stamp set. On the front I stamped using Pecan Pie Ink and then colored the flower with the Light Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blend. On the inside of the small card I stamped the smaller, but similar, image using Crumb Cake Ink that is stamped off first.
The sentiment is from the Wonderful Thoughts stamp set. This set is full of great sentiments. I wanted something simple and that would allow for this card to work for almost any occasion. The small “hello” works perfectly. I stamped it using Misty Moonlight Ink. The focal layer is fairly simple as well. I used the Modern Oval Punch to cut the piece and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it some Pop.
Finishes
To tie in more of the Crumb Cake, soft brown shade, I used the new Basic Beige Ribbon beneath the focal layer. By adding a couple of short strips of adhesives, I was able to zig zag the ribbon easily for a bit of a different look. Of course there must be bling as well. So lastly out came the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon Dots. Just a scattering of them around the focal layer was plenty.
Measurements
This card looks more intricate than it actually is. There are just a couple of layers to place. And I did not mention earlier that it is only a quarter sheet of card stock for the card base. So very easy to make multiples of.
The card base is Crumb Cake that is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2
The White layer is 4 X 5 1/4
The DSP is 6 X 5, score at 2 1/4 on the 6″ length with the pattern for the flap being up.
The small Crumb Cake card is 4 X 5 1/2 scored and folded at 2 3/4
There are 2 of the White layers on the small card, inside and front layer, each is 2 1/2 X 3 3/4
The small card DSP is 2 1/4 X 3 1/2
The focal layer was a scrap that was roughly 2 1/4 X 3

The card for today is a quick and easy one that would work for most occasions by changing the sentiment. Sadly I needed a sympathy card. This fun paper and Bundle are great for quick cards.
Stamp Bundle
The Labeled With Love Bundle is a unique one in the Annual Catalog. It is one of two bundles that you have a choice of either a Punch or Dies to complete the bundle. Of course you could purchase the bundle and then add the other as an extra. I love Punches so that is the one I chose.
For this card I used the stamped outline for the punched image. And I added the little grouping of flowers. The flowers actually have a matching stem so you can stamp them in their proper colors. But I only wanted the flowers. Although the added stems would have been good as well.
The butterfly is part of the stamp set also. And there is a filler stamp to match it. I decided I liked the idea of stamping on the same DSP as the background. It looked better than I thought it would actually! That is always a nice surprise. It gives a softer look. I also stamped a second butterfly on the DSP and added it to the inside of the card. There are no dies for the butterfly, but they are quick and easy to fussy cut.
Sentiment
This sweet sentiment is from the Unbounded Love stamp set. That set is all sentiments and has ones for almost any occasion. I used a matching sentiment on the inside. And of course I love the font and strong script used. It really adds to the message.
Papers
The gorgeous DSP is the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. I suppose this would be considered one of the reverse sides. Whatever it is called, I love the mixed colors. To partner with these colors I went a bit off course. Instead of the exact colors, which are the new In Colors, I went a shade darker. The card base is Berry Burst with Coastal Cabana as the layer. And it is the tag color s well. NOTE: This DSP is part of the DSP sale during August!!
Finishes
To ground the sentiment, I added a strip of Petunia Pop ribbon. That is one of the colors from the DSP. The sentiment is then added with some Dimensionals, as is the butterfly. For the touch of bling, I used the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems. I mixed the colors with the soft green and the soft berry color. All of the same color or a mix is fine with me!

I have been making rather quick cards lately. And today’s is another fairly quick one. It is also my first play with the Cake Fancy stamp set.
Stamp Set
All of the stamped images are from the Cake Fancy stamp set. I had fun with this card and mixed colors along with making a cake that I have been craving. Instead of an actual cake, I have been wanting a big, rich, Key Lime Pie. So I made one for myself. And this one contains no Fat or Calories!!
The images are all the distinctive type so they show light and dark texture. My choice of Soft Sea Foam was really light in places for the Key Lime part of the pie. And the dollop of whipped cream on top came out a big darker than I would want. But I will take creative license and go with it.
The sentiment was a bit more challenging than anything. It is one stamp and did not really fit anywhere. That meant getting a little creative and cutting it into pieces. Three small pieces will fit just about anywhere. And I made it work.
Background
The dotted background is from the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder. I am so in love with this folder. The dots are not only fun but they really pop. And even though I have covered a lot of the background with my images, they still pop and make themselves seen. If you do not have this folder, I hope it is on your wish list.
Papers and Colors
There is no DSP on this card. That is a rare occasion for me. However all of the other elements made it really unnecessary. I chose the Soft Sea Foam for the Key Lime of my pie. Then held that paper along the rest of my papers to see what brighter color went well with it. I settled on Highland Heather for the Dotted Layer on top of Thick Basic White for the card base.
The Soft Sea Foam banner is stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink for a softer background. And the Cake stand is Gorgeous Grape to pop a bit more than the background layer. Then I decided to go with Gorgeous Grape for the layer of the Pie since it was over the Highland Heather. I did not want them to meld together.
Finishes
There was not much left to add to the card after all of the layers and texture. But I really needed a touch of bling. I opted for two of the larger Iridescent Pearls on the banner. The banner itself is a bit of an extra, like ribbon would be to ground the focal layer. So I still have two Extras!

The card I have for you today is a quick and easy gift card holder. It stars the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey DSP. The scenes created on the paper are ones I wish I could see in real life. They are amazing.
Papers
The Thoughtful Journey Designer Series Paper is a 6 X 6 pack filled with gorgeous scenes like the one above. The opposite sides are beautiful watercolor mixes. I paired this scene with Berry Burst for a bright background. Surprisingly I did not add a layer between the card base and the DSP. The paper stands out enough without the extra layer.
Stamps
This fun sentiment is from the Unbounded Love Stamp Set. That set is all sentiments with some fabulous Die shapes to use with them. I opted to keep this card simple and used a punch instead. But I do love the elegant script along with the boldness of it. That helps the simple sentiment really pop!
Extras
The finishes for this card are all easy ones as well. I used the 1 3/4 Circle Punch for the sentiment. And to add some texture I used the 3 pack Bakers Twine in the soft blue. By adding some adhesive to the back of the circle, I could loosely wrap the twine to create a very loose looking bow. Then the circle is added with Stampin’ Dimensionals. And the final touch is a single dragonfly on the sentiment layer. The Adhesive Backed Birds & Dragonflies are great little added pieces. This scene seemed to fit the dragonfly.
Measurements
The “gift card” holder is made with one simple cut. Here is a view of the open card for you to see.
To create this little pocked I began with the basic 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 piece of Berry Burst card stock. It is scored at 4 1/4. Place the front flap of the card on your paper trimmer with the 5 1/2 length at the top. ***For short measurements I use the 1 1/2 measurements that are to the right of the cutting line!! Or you can slide the top of the card over to 4 1/4. Either way, you are making a cut at 1 1/4 from the bottom of the front flap edge over to the score line.
Once the cut is made, fold and burnish the score lines making sure to keep that small section aligned. The DSP is cut 4 X 4 for the top section and 4 X 1 for the bottom section. I cut a 4 X 5 piece and then cut the 1″ off the bottom. For a scene paper like this one, it allows your scene to look continuous.
Next add adhesive to the very bottom of the cut piece and just the far edge. Do not adhere the top part. This allows for the pocket for the gift card. Tip: I always lay a gift card under the card stock when adhering a pocket to ensure it is not too tight of a fit.

My card today is a Get Well card for a sweet friend. They are close to sympathy cards in my book. I am not sure why I have such a hard time designing one. But this one came together very easily. The Thoughtful Wishes Bundle is the star.
Stamp Bundle
This is actually my first time playing with the Thoughtful Wishes Bundle. I originally loved it because of the Thistle and the open weave leaves. The Dies in this set are fabulous in cutting a stamped piece, or individual pieces. And I love the sentiments of the set. The mix of fonts is always a favorite of mine.
Papers
The color choices were totally from the flower colors. So Pretty Peacock as the card base with Berry Burst as the thin layer and the sentiment layer. The flower is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. However the leaves are another story. I used a piece from the Bright & Beautiful 6 X 6 paper pack. It was a variegated greens that I used to show in place of light and dark coloring of leaves. The paper did it for me!
Extra Products
The Circle that holds all of the details is from the Deckled Circles Dies. I used the 7th from smallest. There are really a lot of these dies! And for the sentiment, I used the Labeled With Love Punch. This punch set is one of the fabulous ideas that Stampin’ Up! has in the Annual Catalog. There are two Bundles that you can choose to get stamps and Dies or stamps and a punch. I love punches, so that was my choice.
To ground the sentiment, I went with the Pretty Peacock and Gold Ribbon. Just a strip of it was plenty for the sentiment to sit on. And the touch of bling comes from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon Adhesive Backed Dots. These clear dots have what looks like the same type ribbon as the Pretty Peacock, just silver, underneath the clear dot. They really are nice.

For today’s card I have a fun card using the Sweet Pea Stamp Set. At first glance this set seems very simple. But if you looked at the sentiments and the expressions on the little peas, they are great for a variety of occasions.
Stamps
This card is made with stamps from the one set. The Sweet Pea set is unusual and great. An odd combination for sure! I used the three peas in a pod to wish the “Hapea” birthday. There is also a Grumpea that I think is hilarious! The single pea with the Party Blower is a single stamp that I fussy cut to add a little more cheer. He has a partner in the three peas in the pod also. All of the images and sentiment are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored using Stampin’ Blends.
Dies
To come up with the layout for this card was the most difficult part of it. When I found the Nested Essentials Dies, I knew they were the best idea. And I love that there are different shapes that layer. I went with the banners and the rounded rectangles. The middle two of each shape I believe are the ones I used.
Papers
This card is fairly monochromatic in the greens. But then I added the Peach Pie as an accent. The card base and shape layers are Soft Sea Foam. And the green DSP is from the To Market Designer Series Paper. This is the back side of the one with tomatoes. I just thought it fit my green colors perfectly.
Finishes
To complete this card I added two separate products. First is the Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon. This was used when I decided on adding the Peach Pie and Wild Wheat as the party hat colors. I needed to tie those colors in. The ribbon is wrapped around the DSP layer and secured.
The bling is a scattering of the Dappled Dots Adhesive Backed elements. There are three colors included in the package. They are peach, pink, and a tan. I chose to use the peach color again.
