Celebrate

I have a Celebration card to share with you today.  Today is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop with the theme of July 4th.  I could not commit to the hop, but had the theme idea in my brain.  So I decided to play along anyway.

I started with the new Arrange A Wreath stamp set.  I was going to make a patriotic wreath.  And I sort of did, it just wasn’t what I intended.  My idea wasn’t working so I got the Stitched Stars dies out to make different sizes and colors of stars.  When I noticed the large swirl of stars, I knew it would work perfectly.  It is sort of a banner across my wreath.

I did add a few extra stars to the wreath to evenly balance it out.  I wrapped twine from the Flowers For Every Garden Ribbon Combo Pack.  The Celebrate is from the new stamp set Many Mates.  It is cut using the Ornate Frames dies. The finishing touch was a few Red Rhinestones to some of the white stars.

One of the good things I did on this was to remember our Stampin’ Up! Adhesive Sheets.  I added the adhesive sheet to the Real Red card stock prior to cutting the banner.  It makes for very easy adhesion.  Otherwise I would have had a glue mess on my hands!

Thank you for stopping by today.  It is hard to believe we are mid June already.  July is only a few weeks away.  I will work on another July 4th card for the actual holiday.

A Better Place

I have been using quite a few of the new In Colors in the recent weeks.  However, I keep coming back to Misty Moonlight.  Blue has always been my favorite color, and this is a perfect blue.  I discovered in making today’s card that it pairs wonderfuly with Seaside Spray.  That was my favorite color from last year’s In Colors.  Combining my two favorites gave me a happy stamping day.

I really had no idea where I was going with this card when it was started.  I had the negative of the black circle from Friday’s card on my desk.  I decided I had not done any sponging lately so picked it up.  I used the Seaside Spray for the inside of the circle.   I then added Misty Moonlight to the outside.  It sort of reminded me of a foggy full moon.  From there the idea of the globe finished the card.

I added the globe by stamping it with the Misty Moonlight.  I knew I wanted to use this sentiment and have it mimic all the circles.  So I stamped it and die cut using the Stitched Shapes dies.  I love the stitching detail.  For the background, I found a Layering Circle die that fit perfectly.  The finishing touch was the Misty Moonlight ribbon.

Thank You for stopping by today.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Real Treat

One of the stamp sets that I knew immediately that I would purchase is the Pampered Pets.  I purchased the entire Suite of products.  I love all animals, but especially cats and dogs.  And these products are all adorable.  So I am sharing a card with them today.

I just love the look on the kitty’s face!  It is a happy face.  In sharing this card, I am also playing along with the Case This Sketch Challenge.  I changed the orientation of the card, but it is still the same layout.  Here is the sketch:

I used quite a few products for this sort of plain looking card.  The cat is stamped and die cut using the matching dies.  The background circles are cut using the Layering Circles Dies.  I cut strips of the Real Red and Basic Black for the heat embossed sentiment.

The sentiment is on one stamp.  I used the washi tape technique again to stamp the two lines individually.  They are stamped in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.  The Real Red strip is punched using the Lovely Label Punch.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend and are able to get some crafting time in.

Thanks A Bunch

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s Pals Blog Hop.   If you missed it, here is the link to my post.  Click Here. There were amazing projects showcasing all of the new In Colors for 2020-2022.

My project today is sharing new Designer Series Paper and stamp sets.

I started with the small sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflower stamp set.  It is colored with the Stampin’ Blends.  And the sentiment is stamped in Granny Apple Green.

The Granny Apple is not the color green in the DSP, but I think because of the brightness it works.  The DSP is Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The gold design is gorgeous!!  Just adding a few of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots was all the card needed to finish.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I appreciate you looking at my posts and would love for your to give me your thoughts.

Pals June Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our theme is the “new 2020-2022 In Colors.” The Design Team is showcasing the new family of In Colors from the new catalog. We know you will love them as much as we do! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I took the theme to heart and have used most of the new In Colors in my card.  I went with my favorite card to make which is a gift card holder.  I use this quite often and have the measurements listed after the Blog Hop Line Up.

As I said, this is a gift card holder, so here is the inside of the card.

I debated on which new color to focus on for my project.  I love the Misty Moonlight, which is the base of the card.  But I wanted to share more than that color.  Then I saw the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper Stack (It’s a 6X6 stack).  In going through those sheets I ran across this one, and knew I had found my theme.  I love the print itself, but the colors are just so pretty.

The stamp set, or rather Bundle that I used, is the Posted For You.  It is a Punch Bundle.  I love punches because they are so easy to do multiples of and just so quick.  This one is going to be a favorite I can already tell.  So many of our Stampin’ Up! sentiments will fit in this punch.

I used the punched image to separate the sentiment.  The “Love” is included in the sentiment stamp.  But I wanted to use the punch in place of it.  So I used old washi tape to cover all but the sending you on the stamp, inked , removed the washi tape, and stamped.  I cleaned the stamp and repeated by covering all but the end of the saying.  And that time I almost forgot to remove the washi tape!!  Luckily I caught it just in time!.

Thank you so much for hopping to my post.  I hope you will come back tomorrow for another new post, but in the meantime, keep hopping along!

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for July 8th – Gifts from the Garden when the design team will showcase cards or gift ideas from treasures found in the garden.  Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.

Congratulations

When I first saw the Monogram Messages stamp set, it spoke to me.  I have no idea why, just that I liked the large letter with a simple companion sentiment.  I also saw it as a perfect 3X3 or 4X4 size card.  Today’s card is larger.  I am not sure how that happened, but all is good!

The center of the card is exactly what I envisioned originally.   I stamped the C and other wording using the Stamparatus.  I had planned on making several of these as Random Act of Kindness cards with the Hello.  Except I decided to try the C to begin and here is the card!  LOL!!!

The background is the Brights 6X6 Designer Series Paper.  I cut the three pieces to 1 1/4 X 5 to layer on the Whisper White layer that is 4 X 5 1/4.   The sentiment layer is raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The only other thing I did extra was stamp the balloon onto scrap paper when I stamped it on the card.  I fussy cut the extra ballon and raised it on top of the first one.  I added a pearl for a bit of shine.  The string is hand drawn with the Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Marker.

Thank you for stopping in today!  Tomorrow is the Pals Blog Hop.  So come on by and  hop through the great projects.

You Are Special

I mentioned last week that I love sketches as a means of beginning a card.  I have one of those cards to share again today.  It is from the FabFri sketch challenge.

Here is the sketch I used:

This sketch challenge has a very simple appearance with a sentiment across the front.  I especially loved the slight angle to the layers.  I gave mine a bit more angle though.  For me, the simple look said DSP or embossed layers.  So I used both.

I began with my favorite of the new In Colors of Misty Moonlight.  Actually you could almost say I have an all Misty card, with the exception of the white.  The DSP has the Misty Moonlight in it and I used Misty Moonlight Ink for the sentiment and feather.

My back layer is the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder on Whisper White card stock.  The gorgeous DSP is the In Good Taste Designer Series paper.  There are so many different versions of texture in that package.

For the sentiment, I used the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  The words and the feather are both from the set.  My initial plan was to fussy cut the feather and raise it.  But I played with the layout a bit and decided to have it attached.  I compromised and fussy cut the feather while leaving it attached to the sentiment layer.

I added one of the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots to the center O of the “So” in the sentiment.  I also used, for the first time, the new Stampin’ Seal as my adhesive.  I really like it.  It runs smoothly and it doesn’t take much of a snap to break the thread.  Before you had to make a very sharp check to brake the thread.  This takes very little movement.  So far it is looking good!

Thank you very much fro stopping by today.  I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project.

Friend

Good Friday Morning to everyone.  I am so loving playing with my new products!  I have a card to share with you that is almost all new items.  And I am in love once again!

Can you see the details in the stamped leaves?  That is not a trick, or great photography.  That is the awesome detail in the stamps.  This was one of the stamp sets I was going to pass on.  And then I saw it demonstrated at one of our On Line Events with Stampin’ Up! .  The details was so intense that I knew I had to have it.   When I stamped this center leaf in Pretty Peacock I was amazed.  Pictures do not do it justice. It is the Forever Fern stamp set.  Of course I had to get the Bundle, but did not use the Dies today.

Okay, besides me being in love with the details of the stamps, here are the rest of the products I used.  I stamped the various leaves in Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaroon, and Shaded Spruce Inks.  The sentiment is also from the Forever Fern set and is also stamped in Pretty Peacock.

Both stamped images are die cut using the Tasteful Labels Dies.  I used the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper as the background.  And yes, I did use the “other” side, as usual.  The ribbon grounding the stamped images is the Just Jade woven ribbon.  I added a few of the Holiday Rhinestones for added texture and bling.  I am thrilled with all of the “bling” that carried over into this catalog.  Almost every color has a matching bling now!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Please come back on Monday to see what new products I have to share.  Also, next Wednesday is the monthly Pals Blog Hop.  That is always a great way to see quite a few awesome projects.

Celebrate You

I have a project to share today that is using a Bundle that I said I would not purchase.  Do you see how long that lasted?  Yes, as soon as I began seeing samples, from other demonstrators that had gotten it in their preorder, I was sold.

The Celebrate Sunflower Bundle is fabulous!!  If you can see in the photo, their is a very detailed stamp which matches two different dies.  The first cuts out the stamped image.  The second is the detailed sunflower outline I have layered on top.

I stamped the image in Mango Melody Ink and the detailed die cut is from the new Bumble Bee card stock.  The leaves are stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Just Jade card stock and die cut as well.  I stamped the sunflower again on scrap to get the center only.  I used Stampin’ Write Markers in Mango Melody and Crushed Curry.  I also “flicked” Soft Suede marker for the speckles.  There is a die for the center as well.  The detailed flower is secured with adhesive around the center.  The center is raised using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you are enjoying the new products.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
