Textures

The card today is made from the fabulous new Textured Notes Suite of products. I did not use everything, but came close. If you like texture, then these products are for you.

Stampin' Up!, textured notes, mini corrugated embossing folder, woven textures designer paper, neutral matte dots, pecan pie, jackie beers

STAMP BUNDLE

The Textured Notes Bundle is one of the new Online Exclusives that dropped yesterday. This is definitely a favorite. I first was drawn to this bundle because of the Dies. They are rectangle, layering Dies with different detailing around the edges of each. You can see the detail on the cane weave DSP layer as well as the sentiment layer.

Then after getting the stamp set, I was really drawn to the different images of texture and the simple floral. That doesn’t even take into account the sweet sentiments. There are a couple of different ones that have this fun scripted font. You can also see a different detail on the sentiment layer. I added the little floral to the sentiment layer by fussy cutting it. It was not difficult or time consuming to do. The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso Ink with the foliage tone on tone with Pecan Pie.

PAPERS

These different papers may be the star of the card actually. They are both part of the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. The images are so clear and detailed that you want to run your fingers across them to feel the texture! The cane weave is beautiful, but I also love the linen look on the sentiment layer. And it is actually the opposite side of the cane weave. All of the sheets are as vibrant as these.

The card base and layer are colors I saw in the DSP. For the card base I went with Pecan Pie and then Crumb Cake for the layer. These work very well together.

SPECIAL TOUCHES

The most stand out of the card may be the bottom layer. This cardboard looking layer is made using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. The detail and depth of the design is fabulous. Even though it is simply a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, it looks like much more.

There must be bling. Although with the more rustic scene, I felt shiny bling would be out of place. So the new Neutral Matte Dots fit the need perfectly. Actually I did not realize the Pecan Pie was even one of the dot colors. There is a trio of them scattered around.

Awesome

The card I have to share with you today highlights the gorgeous new Lovely Garden DSP. It is a quick card that is oh so pretty! And is paired with an awesome stamp set.

Stampin' Up!, memorable blooms, lovely garden, fresh freesia, circle punch, rhinestone, jackie beers

STAMPS

The stamped flowers match almost exactly to the DSP. And they are not part of a set. I was confused at first when I saw the two together! The stamps are from the fabulous Memorable Blooms Bundle. There are a couple of floral images and a few sentiments. I love this sentiment. It is a favorite for sure. The fun fonts are a winner.

To pair this stamp with the DSP was a given. This sweet flower stamp is colored using Old Olive on the leaves and Fresh Freesia to highlight the flowers. The image is stamped on Basic White to match the DSP I only highlights parts of the flowers and left the other white. It does not show as well as the paper flowers do. But I like just the highlights. Having the matching Die set is a good thing. And only having to cut one small flower was super quick and simple.

PAPERS

The star of the card is probably this DSP. It is from the new Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper. Actually the suite of products it is part of is named Lovely Gardens Suite. The new Online Exclusives are wonderful and this is one of the really nice ones. This suite will be available beginning tomorrow I believe. I really love this flower pattern. I pulled the Garden Green for the card base. And the Fresh Freesia as the thin layer. Then when trying to decide on the sentiment and flower, I opted to add a strip across the lower part. Without the circle the cut flowers faded into the paper even with the Fresh Freesia strip. So I added the circle to help it stand out.

EXTRAS

There are several Extras today. In the order of using them, I have the 2″ Circle Punch behind the Die cut flower. Then the Fresh Freesia Faux Velvet Ribbon is layered behind the circle. For a velvet type ribbon, this one is soft and easy to work with. This ribbon is actually part of the Lovely Gardens Suite of products and should be out when the new Online Exclusives drop. I believe that is tomorrow. And finally is the bling. I have added a Rhinestone to the center of the two Die cut flowers and a third next to the sentiment.

Balloon Celebration

My project to share with you is a seriously quick and a bit of the unusual for me. I have only the sentiment as the stamping on the front of the card.

Stampin' Up!, Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper, Sentimental Park, party dots, soft sea foam, pretty in pink, jackie beers

PAPERS

The Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper is the reason for so little actual stamping. Not only is the striped DSP from that pack, but so is the colorful balloon bundle. There are actually two options for this DSP. One is only the DSP and the other is the DSP plus the sticker sheet. This is from the sticker sheet. I normally prefer to do my stamping instead of precut / colored images. However the sticker sheet in this pack of paper is over the top in terms of color and beauty. In fact the entire pack of paper is probably the prettiest I can remember in a while.

This background sheet of DSP, along with the balloons could be for a birthday, baby shower, or any celebration. I love the soft colors even though I am a Brights person normally. For this card I paired the stripes with the Soft Sea Foam card base and then added the sentiment on a strip of Pretty In Pink.

STAMPS

The sentiment is from the Sentimental Park stamp set. With the smaller size of the fonts here I think it is a good one for inside and front sentiments. To draw a little more attention to the sentiment I flagged the ends with my Paper Snips. I actually raised it with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed it over the knot in the strings of the balloons.

EXTRAS

To compliment all of the soft colors already existing on the card I kept the bling soft as well. These are from the Party Dots embellishments. They actually are part of the suite of products this DSP is included in. There are three different colors of dots with two different sizes of each. I did one of each color in the larger size.

Big Hug

Last Reminder…..Today is the final day of Sale-A-Bration and all that goes with it. This means the awesome Free products and the great Starter Kit special go away tonight.

I have a simple and quick Friday card for you. This one is giving someone a Big Hug with a card. How sweet is that! Plus it is a one layer card, almost anyway.

Stampin' Up!, hugs for love bundle, to the point label punch, natural botanicals, party dots, lost lagoon soft cording, pool party, lost lagoon, summer splash, jackie beers

STAMPS

There are two different stamp sets used today. First is the Natural Botanicals. This is a photopolymer stamp set. And these are a set of two sided stamps. What that means is they are designed to be stamped not only on the details side, but also the reverse, smooth side. You can see this on my card. The softer background is the reverse, or solid, side of the stamp. I stamped these using Pool Party Ink that is stamped off for a softer look.

The detailed stampings are from the same stamp set. This stamp is using the detailed side of the stamp and is colored with Lost Lagoon Ink. I really love the mix of the shadow and then the detailed leaves. Another look is to use both sides of the same stamp and layer on top or as I did. There are 6 images in this set so lots of possibilities. Also this set was added to the February portion of SAB. So with a qualifying order, you can get this set FREE. Be sure and choose it from the list of SAB items at checkout. And do not use the product number I have listed in my Supply List at the bottom of the post. There is a separate number for the Free one.

The PUNCH is part of the second stamp set. This is the Hugs For Love Bundle. You all know how much I love punches! I believe this one is special because of the shape. We do not have a punch, or even Dies really that have the angles of this punch shape. And it can be used with the straight sides either top/bottom or as I did on the sides. It is versatile and fairly large. The punch is part of the bundle but has it’s own name. It is the To The Point Label Punch. Additionally, there is a second stamp set in the Mini Catalog that can pair with the punch. It is the Bright Borders stamp set. Please check it out.

PAPERS

There are no extra designer papers on this card. It happens but not very often. I made my own background with the botanical stamps and kept it simple after that. The card base is Pool Party carrdstock with the layer of Lost Lagoon. As I mentioned at the top, it is a quick and easy one today.

EXTRAS

The punch can count as an extra even though it is part of the bundle. Being new gives it some leeway. But the Lost Lagoon Soft Cording is a fabulous extra! It thicker than bakers twine, but very soft. I did a pretend bow behind the punched layer. That is on dimensionals and the cording did not create a hump behind. So that should give you an idea of thickness. For the bling, I went with a soft bling. The similar tones of everything on the card called for more of the same. So the Party Dots were a go to choice. These are in soft colors and the one I chose pairs in great.

Arched Birthday

There are only two days left in Sale-A-Bration. Today and tomorrow and it will be over for this year. My project today has two of the SAB items included. There is a peek at an upcoming item paired with my new favorite layering Dies. Woohoo!!

Stampin' Up!, arched wishes, everyday arches, toadstool gardens, purple sequins, granny apple green, melon mambo, jackie beers

There is an inside view as well. I am bad about creating cards and leaving the inside blank. But this one had the perfect pairing included in the stamp set.

STAMPS

This extremely fun stamp set is called Arched Wishes. It pairs with the Everyday Arches stamp set and Bundle. But this one is an add on. Right now it is a preorder for demonstrators. However it goes live the beginning of March in the OnlineExclusives. I have mentioned all of the fabulous stamps and bundles that are new this coming month! Please check them out.

The stamps used on this project are all included in the Arched Wishes stamp set. You know I love one set cards and this one is awesome. There are no matching Dies, so the cupcake is fussy cut. Most of it is straight lines, so it is really easy to do. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored using Melon Mambo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. The candle is Pumpkin Pie with the flame highlighted with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.

The inside sentiment and balloon are also in the set. I added the sprinkle looking details with Granny Apple Green after coloring the balloon with Melon Mambo again. The simple script of the Happy Birthday is a good one. I will be using that stamp often in my birthday cards.

DIES

The arched shape front layer is from my new favorite layering Dies set Everyday Arches. I forgot to double check, but it may be the largest of the Dies. I like these Dies for their versatility. The sizes are great. This could be made into a card by not cutting the top section and there are various layering possibilities. My brain immediately saw a window or door. When I travel to Europe I take a ton of photos of their doors. They are large and ornate or simply painted a bright color. This shape reminds me of that.

PAPERS

The bright colors included on the card are pulled from the DSP you see from behind the arch. It is hidden more than I like, but still the brightness pops out. This sheet is from the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper that is a SAB choice. The Granny Apple Green card base is one of the included colors as is Melon Mambo. But the Melon Mambo with the DSP seemed to blend to much. I wanted Pop!

EXTRAS

This card is all about bright and popping out. So to complete that look I used the Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins that are also a SAB choice. They have quite a lot of shine to them. I chose to scatter more than my normal one or three. The white space could take it and the happy cupcake seemed to like the extra bling.

Corner Birthday

First thing today I have a reminder about Sale-A-Bration! This is the last few days to get these items at no cost! And there are a few of the second release products that are active in catalogs right now. What a bonus! So don’t miss out. And reach out to me if you have any questions.

Today I am sharing the Spring Corners Bundle and pairing it with a beautiful DSP from SAB. This is one of the fabulous products from this last release of Online Products. They are fun and exciting stamp sets with matching Dies. Plus more are coming in March. The bright Sale-A-Bration DSP pairs perfectly with this fun stamp set.

Stampin' Up!, spring corners, bloom impressions, daffodil delight satin ribbon, blueberry bushel, peach pie, jackie beers

STAMPS & DIES

The Spring Corners Bundle has a couple of corner sentiments in addition to images that pair with those sentiments. For the front of the I had to use one of the corner sentiments. I think that is such a refreshing idea. And then the group of balloons reinforces the “amazing day” idea.

These stampings are done with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink . Then the balloons are colored using Stampin’ Blends. Those colors are pulled form the DSP. This gave me all kinds of color options. So I chose Melon Mambo, Peach Pie, and Shy Shamrock for the balloon colors. These balloons are also stamped on the inside of the card along with a Happy Birthday. For the front the balloons are Die cut with a matching Die. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals under the balloons for depth, but left the bottom free. That allows the bow to sit a little bit flatter.

PAPERS

This unusual mix of cardstock colors are both pulled from the floral piece of DSP. I have been on a Blueberry Bushel kick of late and continued that here. It is just a bright and happy blue. Then to soften things for the DSP pieces, I went with Peach Pie for the layer. It acts as the leading in the stain glass pieced top layer.

The DSP is from the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration. I love these flowers. They are a mix of Brights but with almost all of the color families represented. This makes it so simple to create a variety of cards using different card bases.

The top layer is created with a piece of Peach Pie measuring 4 X 5 1/4. The DSP is all 1″ widths. The top left is 1 X 1, the floral piece is 1 X 4, and the bottom one is 2 3/4 X 1. (Always be careful with your cutting if using directional paper! ) Then the Basic White section is 2 3/4 X 4 to stamp the sentiment.

EXTRAS

There are two Extras, bling and sweet ribbon. The ribbon is the new Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon. I love this narrow ribbon. It is a breeze to tie a bow with. And then of course bling. Today I chose to use Rhinestones. A sparkle is always needed for a celebration.

Here is the inside view of the card.

Poppin’ Up for Sale-A-Bration

I have been behind on my promotion of SAB. And sadly it is coming to a close on Friday. The card I am sharing contains one of the most popular of the SAB items. It is the Toadstool Gardens Designer Series paper. This paper is so fun and can be used for almost any card idea.

Stampin' Up!, terrific toadstools, toadstool gardens, toadstool punch, sunny day dots, spotlight on nature dies, fresh freesia, jackie beers

STAMPS & PUNCH

The fabulous sentiment has stolen the show on this card! That fun font of the Poppin’ Up is one of the best I have seen. It is from the Terrific Toadstools stamp set. As are the fun mushrooms and grass stamps.

The mushrooms are stamped with Poppy Parade ink and Melon Mambo ink. I love the addition of the bright green of the grass or leaf image. Those are stamped using Granny Apple Green. And the stems, plus the sentiment, are stamped using Early Espresso Ink.

The mushrooms have a punch that punches the mushroom head and stem. This punch does not leave a white outline, so it really makes it easier to line up without that worry. I have used Stampin’ Dimensionals under the head of the larger mushroom to add some depth. And the fabulous sentiment layer is raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals as well.

PAPERS

These fun DSP sheets just make me smile! The colors remind me of the 1970’s and I remember wearing all of those colors. Personally I love the mix of orange and pink. The different greens just brings everything together. These DSP sheets are from Sale-A-Bration. The Toadstool Gardens Designer Series Paper is a Free product with a qualifying order through the end of February. So only a few days left.

The DSP strips are where all of the colors of the card were pulled from. I went with a very light card base of Fresh Freesia. It really pulls that color from the two DSP sheets. The sentiment layer is also a piece of the DSP. Stamping on the DSP always seems so special.

EXTRAS

The mushrooms are layered onto a Basic White die cut from the Spotlight on Nature Dies. These fun circles all have different details around the edge. It adds an extra touch. And for the bling I went with a single Sunny Day Iridescent Dots. The orange really pops with all of the colors.

Seriously The Best

You are getting a couple of sneak peeks of upcoming Online Exclusives. I have gone a bit overboard on the demonstrator pre order on this upcoming release. It is fabulous. The card I am sharing is a case of the sample card when this goes Live next month.

Stampin' Up!, wooded acres, textured notes, purple adhesive sequins, natural tones linen thread, berry burst, wild wheat, misty moonlight, pebbled path, blending brushes, jackie beers

STAMPS

These trees are from the upcoming Online Exclusive stamp set Wooded Acres. I love the simple tree textures. However there is almost the exact stamp, but with full leaves, included in the set. It is a two stamp set. And after this card I am really excited to play with it even more.

The trees are stamped using Pebbled Path Ink. I believe it gives it the far off in the distance look without being too bold. If you look at the trio of trees on the bottom right and add them to the edge of the left side, that is the length of the stamp. So you can see how I stamped it off the paper with every inking.

The sentiment is from another of the preorder Online Exclusives. It is from a large Suite of products. This sentiment is from the Textured Notes stamp set. And like I said, it is a large Suite that you will fall in love with if you like natural and texture.

PAPERS & INKS

There are no special papers today. I used Berry Burst cardstock as the base with Wild Wheat cardstock for the narrow layer. Then I created the stamped background with inks and blending brushes. In my mind, it is a sunset view in the mountains.

The bottom section is a light coloring using Wild Wheat Ink. Next is the sunset using Berry Burst Ink. Finally the sky is Misty Moonlight. All of the colors were done fairly lightly.

EXTRAS

To tie in all of the ink colors I added the Natural Tones Linen Thread in the dark blue. I had used the other two ink colors with matching paper. But had not used a blue paper. So a wrap around and a bow took care of the blues.

The final touch is the bling! I used the Sale-A-Bration Purple Adhesive Sequins scattered around. There are different shades of purple/pink sequins in the package. I used three different shades to go along with my color shading.

Eyelet Birthday

My card to share today is a quick and easy one that showcases a sweet embossing folder. The rest of the card falls under the #simplestamping profile. It is a pretty one to make multiples of as well.

Stampin' Up!, eyelet embossing, with you in mind, hooray for surprises, beautiful bokeh, pearls, berry burst, jackie beers

EMBOSSING

The dry embossed layer is one of several focal points to me. I love the look that embossing folders can add to a very simple card. The one I have used is the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder. Those little flowers look good with most anything. Embossing is an alternative to using DSP as a layer, or stamping a background layer. For this card there are any number of different embossing folders that would have worked just as well. I hope you will give your embossing folders a second look as I have.

STAMPS

This bold sentiment is from the fun With You In Mind stamp set. It is a stand alone set that offers bold sentiments like this one for birthday, best wishes, thank you and thinking of you. Plus the addition of the small icon stamps to boost your sentiment. And it is only $20.00 for a nice group of stamps.

The Happy Birthday is one single stamp. Again, I love the mix of fonts. Those always get a second look from me. I used the cupcake stamp twice. One is full strength ink and the other is stamped off. Plus I added a second of the icon stamps in the heart. It was chosen to add more to sentiment, but to also tie in a touch of blue from the DSP strips.

PAPERS

To pick the predominant paper from this card is difficult. The DSP strips are what designated the other colors so I will begin there. These strips are from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper. It is a 6×6 pack of fun colors that all have the bokeh dots or the more ink splatter look. The two outside strips are the ink splatter as I call it. And the center one is the Bokeh. These are the two sides of one sheet, so you can choose as you see fit. These strips measure 1 X 3.

The card base is Berry Burst from the bokeh sheet. And the embossed layer is Fresh Freesia from the splatter side. These pair great together. I could have added a Balmy Blue but thought just the blue heart was sufficient to highlight it.

EXTRAS

There are various Extras all over this card. First is the Frayed White Ribbon. It grounds the floating sentiment. Then there are the two cupcakes which are fussy cut and added to the opposite corners of the sentiment. And finally I have added a scattering of the Iridescent Pearls to some of the embossed flowers for the bling!

Stand Up Birthday

I have a wonderful Fun Fold to share with you today. Not only is the fold great, but I have used the fabulous birthday DSP that partners with the Birthday Celebration bundle and Suite. These are all products that will make you smile!

The card is in a stand for photographing so I could get it sort of flat. I could not get the proper angle with it standing on it’s own. Here is a look at it open to see the inside as well as more of the side strips of DSP.

STAMPS & DIES

There are actually only three stamps used from the Birthday Celebration stamp set. And they are beautifully scripted. That is always something I look for. I love different fonts. These are probably some of my all time favorites in terms of bold and beautifully done. Both the inside and the front are stamped using Blueberry Bushel Ink. And the banner strip on the inside is stamped using Wild Wheat Ink. I am so going to miss that color when the In Colors change this Summer. That is my go to for a Gold stamping.

The only Die used is the tag on the front. It is also from the Birthday Celebration Bundle. I was thrilled when I realized it fit the sentiment plus added a great layer to the front of the card. And it shows that Blueberry Ink is a good pairing with Pool Party card stock. I called this a tag, when it really is not. There are no holes in this Die. It is designed to make multiple banners for the birthday celebration. As you can see though it works great as a single layer!

PAPERS

The star of the card is this gorgeous DSP. All of the sheets used are from the Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper. This is not just pretty paper. But half of the sheets have gold foil details. You can see on the front with the cakes. And also on the Pool Party strip on the inside with the scallops of gold. There is a second of that strip on the left hand side that you cannot see the way I photographed. The pink check strips are a reverse side of another sheet.

To pair the Blueberry Bushel with the cake sheet really pulls the blue to the forefront. If you follow me I shared a previous card using one of the floral sheets and paired it with Blueberry Bushel as well. It is a perfect match and I could not resist doing it again. Here is a view of the previous card. https://jackiebeers.com/2025/01/banner-window-card/ The Pool Party Banner card stock is pulled from the paper also. And of course I cannot forget the Basic White inside layer.

EXTRAS

This fun card is a CASE of the Fun Fold from Connie Stewart. She called it Vertical Free Standing and has a video. I have a link to my project sheet with basic directions below.

The need for bling on this card was minimal with all of the gold foil in the DSP. I did use the Gold Twisted Thread for the bow of the banner on the front. It needed a bit more attention. And I added a single gold dot from the Low-Profile Dots.
